Went in on a quite Saturday morning for breakfast. This cafe is well recommended by locals. The service is VERY friendly, and is attentive without being annoying. The portions are HUGE. I got the meat lovers omelette and wanted a cup of chipped beef for my home fries, so I ordered a small with that thought I'm mind. I got a whole meal of chipped beef on toast. Wow. The gravy was a tad chunky for me, but still good. The omelette was so stuffed, it couldn't contain all of the meat. The coffee stayed full and was tasty. The baked goods are amazing. I've driven by this place so many times and finally tried it. I called and ordered, food was ready when I arrived. The lady that took my order was friendly over the phone and in person. The breakfast was really good! I highly recommend!! They do accept credit cards, not sure why the other review complained about this. Overall very good! The best donuts that I have seen in a long time, the marshmallow and cream filled as well as the jelly filled and so forth are filled to the rim, pleasant atmosphere parking is not bad, Dunkin' Donuts does not have it anymore They are too cheap. After driving by so many times when I lived in Maryland, we finally stopped while visiting the area. I wish we had stopped sooner! I had a cheese omelette, English muffin and applesauce. Living in Pasadena, we've always wanted to check this place out. Why did we wait so long?! The omelettes are ridiculously huge and delicious. I think they even make their bread in house. We've also tried their French toast and sausage gravy - both of which were also tasty. They give you plenty of food and the prices are so reasonable. They are cash only though, just a heads up. I've lived in Pasadena my entire life and always passed by this city staple every day. Today was my first time going in, I liked how it felt like a family business. At the counter, the lady taking me and another's order gave them a complete attitude, and didn't even bother to take my order after taking theirs. I've been going here since my Gram would bring be as a little girl. The owner is there every day and is always willing to help with whatever you need. The food is good and delicious. The staff is about as pleasant as you can get and attentive. The main reason I go though is their donuts. I've tasted every marshmallow donut you can think of and there is NONE that I've had that beats these. They use real marshmallow and they are freshly baked so they are light and airy like a beignet with marshmallow and powdered sugar on top. It is heaven!! I've been here twice now for breakfast. I've been told to come by on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to get their homemade marshmallow donuts but I haven't been able to manage that quite yet. Today is a Wednesday morning. I was having a problem staying asleep but as luck would have it they open at 5am!! I was the only one sitting in there but people were consistently coming in for take out orders. The sweetest lady waited on me. I had a small biscuits and gravy which was rather large and a coffee. The coffee was so nice. She told me it was Maxwell and I almost choked. Imagine. I don't know what kind of fairy dust was sprinkled in it but it was delicious!! I love this place. read more

This place has been a staple in the Pasadena area for decades. Their Bakery is wonderful and I absolutely love their assorted Danish. The grill serves your basic diner food and I'm very happy that they offer both chipped beef and sausage gravy. They have a large assortment of drinks, sodas and juices available for you to choose from. I noticed today that they had pies and I think I will have to try one of those next time. I try to make a stop here any time I wind up back in the area. Be warned, they are only open in the morning and early afternoon. They close up at 2 pm. read more

My gf and I dropped in yesterday morning for breakfast. This was my second time eating breakfast here and she's been here several times before that. We were surprised we didn't have to wait for a seat, and the waitresses commented on how dead they were. I LOVE breakfast. Seriously, I love it. They put out good, cheap food! The biggest draws are probably their selection of beverages (they have 4 or 5 upright coolers of drinks to choose from) and the speed the food comes off the grill. It's a small place-there is the grill, a counter with stools and then some booths and tables. It's always nice when you see the cook making your food. Did I mention how fast the food comes out to you? I think it took five minutes! I got a bacon and cheese omelet, hashbrowns (don't like home fries) and toast and gf got eggs sunnyside up, hashbrowns, pork roll and rye toast. My omelet was crazy good- basically an egg omelet, with four or five strips of crispy bacon laid in it, covered with American cheese. Gf really liked hers, as well. Nice touch that she can get her rye toast. Why didn't I give it five stars? Because of their bakery (which takes up half of the building) I think they're known around the area for their donuts, but I don't like them. I've tried them three times and I've gotten sick all three times! With that being said, they only make the donuts on Saturdays and Sundays. After paying for breakfast, I got my parents two of their marshmallow donuts, because they're big fans of them. Definitely a good place to eat. Oh, you need to know that it's CASH ONLY. They have limited hours- I think during the week, they're open 6-2 and weekends 6-1, I think. read more

Just ate there... the staff were all incredibly polite, making me really want to like this place. I didn't. The food was... I'm not sure saying the food was awful properly describes the meal. It was breakfast. The home fries weren't cooked, like at all, they were boiled?? The bread wasn't toasted, though they called it toast. No seasoning in the food and what appeared to be canned ingredients. We sat at the counter because the few tables they had were full, I can't understand how they had the amount of people they had there... Was everyone just passing through and got taken? They were using a bar towel to clean the silverware, right in front of us at the counter-- Literally slapping the silverware down on the towel, folding it over and patting it down, put the silverware into the the holder and grabbing a new set of silverware from the water and using the same damn towel-- the same the kid was wiping his hands with. And sitting and close as we were I can tell you the silverware WASN'T ALL CLEAN! Going here was a tragic mistake that will not be repeated. read more

I really like Three B's Bakery. It's not going to amaze you but it's consistent home cooked food. I think their prices are affordable and you get a good amount of food for the cost. My favorite thing is their small pastries. They are filled with apple and other flavors and have a little bit of icing on the top. My fiance went there this morning to grab breakfast for us at 1140AM (Carry out). First thing this older lady says is "we close at 12". Not hi, not thank you for coming in, but, we close at 12. Very rude! She came home and told me this story so I called and asked to speak to the owner. A lady was given the phone. I told her the story and she says she was the one who told her that and got rude with me on the phone immediately. I told her that's not how you should treat customer's and all she would say is they close at 12. The worst customer service! No longer will I spend my money at this place. read more

I was not a fan of this place. We decided to give it a try since it always seems to have a crowd. Unfortunately, we should have stuck to the Rock Creek diner. I had the chipped beef with home fries. The home fries were actually canned potatoes and not cooked very well. The chipped beef was ok, I would have preferred it over biscuits instead of toast. Food was decent, but not entirely "from scratch" (frozen hash browns McDonalds-style, instant oatmeal fresh from the microwave). The bacon,egg,and cheese bagel was pretty good. I wish they used cheddar instead of the plastic American cheese but I already knew what I was getting when I walked in.
