Donuts are nothing special as you can tell in the decline in the lines. Maybe if you have a sweet tooth go ahead

It was okay. Service was super friendly and efficient. A+ to the employees. The food was only okay, I don't think worth the hype. While there are a lot of flavors the food itself is overly sweet. But sweet is to be expected! read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - Donuts Near Me - Odenton, Maryland

I feel on love with Shipley when I lived in Texas and was so excited when they opened this location! Their original glazed donuts are better than Krispy Kreme and they're kolaches are fluffy and delicious read more

I liked the iced coffee and the chocolate creme filled donut. The cream had a marshmallow type of taste and texture which was nice. Everyone was friendly there! read more

Went to Shipley's Donuts for the first time today.. The employees were incredible! The only thing that upset me was in chocolate Bavarian crème bar.. there was only a dime size of crème in there!! The chocolate on top was delicious though!! Please add more Bavarian crème filling to the chocolate crème bar.. I did have the raspberry filled donut and it was delicious, with a lot of raspberry filling in it!! read more

Do-Nuts here are still great. What I wish to see is for them to do more to get customers to use their app to record purchases. Since donuts are expensive, I rely on their app to record my purchases to track my spending and hopefully get rewards. Twice already, they didn't ask me to scan my QR code with my in-store order so that each of my $31.52 orders would be recorded. read more

Well if you want to have your pick get here when it opens because this place is slammed right now. It's a new donut shop right at the Odenton Circle. The icing on the donut I got was like buttercream icing so be prepared for SWEET if you get something frosted. They still moved people through relatively quickly and the kid behind the counter was super energetic and a great people person so definitely a solid hire for them. Minus star is for wait time, lack of parking, and availability of donuts once they start getting slammed. (You basically end up with a delicious hot fresh donut but it's whatever happens to be coming out when it's your turn) I imagine things will change over time as most new places go from a raging torrent of customers to a steady flow but I hope they stick around. Brown Box eatery was across the street and I was sad to see it go. This place fills the donut hole there was in my heart. Disclaimer:I'm a dad and I am allowed to make these puns read more

I went through the drive-thru once when I was the only one in line, and it took them over five minutes just to say, "Hello." Also, I've shown up multiple times for their glazed cake donuts, which they claim not to have, despite them being listed on the menu. I understand that supply issues happen, but updating the menu or informing customers in advance is just common courtesy. The food can be good, but I wish the service and availability of menu items were more consistent. read more

Had to try out the new donut shop in town. Although the drive thru not working and the long lines. They moved through the line pretty quickly. I'm the words of my daughter "these are bestest donuts I've ever had". She got the speciality donut holes and i got the chocolate donut with sprinkles. The donuts were good. They close at 12 daily which i had to learn the hard way when i drive there the first time. Today i went around 11:30 and the lines were long. I believe at one point they don't make anymore donuts and just sell out. The prices aren't too bad. I will definitely visit at an earlier time to get more of a variety of donuts. read more

Real homemade donuts. I like the plain glazed. Support local, this is better than DD.

I love donuts and have been on a mission to find good donuts outside of your basic Dunkin' Donuts. I found Shipley donuts and took my 2 sisters along for the experience. Service was great as the girl waiting on us was patient and answered all of our questions. Ambiance is okay, it's really carry out, although there is a small seating area. They were out of apple fritters which we really wanted to try. My sister did enjoy her honeybun but she loves anything sweet. The donuts were just okay nothing to rave about or go back for. Dunkin'' is still my #1. read more

Drive thru was very quick! There are two lanes to accommodate the possible AM rush. I ordered regular coffee, (2) sausage cheese rolls and (2) maple frosted donuts: $12.99 The donut and coffee imo are priced accordingly but the sausage roll are a bit pricey. Having visited TX often I found many of their donut places sell these sausage type rolls/Kolaches. The standard kolaches were sold out by the time I arrived (8:38am) time stamp on receipt. So I was stuck with this standard version which I was NOT a fan. BUT that is just me..others may def like them. For instance, my son is was over the moon for them he ate one on the car ride! Coffee was fine--slight minimal mechanical issue the lid kept popping off when I grabbed my cup--either poor engineering of the cup weight and lid OR I truly maintain the strength of a modern day SheHULK pretty sure I just have the grip of an Oline.. Anyways drifted off topic but the main event--donuts were delicious. I love the "thick" airiness of them idk if that makes sense like they're thick and sort of firm on the exterior but soon as u bite into them they're nice and airy--(like me!) but the dough bounces back! And they don't taste "manufactured" or boring like these other mains stream places. The taste rivals one of my local fave Severn donut spot of all time--so that says a lot for me! Def recommend trying it out! I would rather commit a Monday drive here than venturing to the double D down the road by post. Anyways see y'all next week! read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - Quick morning run! - Donuts Near Me - Odenton, Maryland

My review is about the same as LC. Ordered a few donuts, and a cappuccino. Found out when we got home, we asked for two white coconut and there was only one in the bag ‍. It's probably just as well bc it was very grease heavy. The cappuccino is weird. It's premixed and is very thick more like a hot chocolate with a hint of vanilla and no taste of coffee. Drive through was closed. A bunch of people standing in line and hardly anything on the shelf. Checked in at 10:30 am and got out about 11:15 am. I think the missed donut was probably due to one person on the register and one picking the order. Even tho they read the order back, what was read back was not what was served. We didn't try the kolache thing that's popular, but I am more of a donut fan, so Carlson in Annapolis will probably continue to be our special donut go to! Everything looked clean in the store as far as I could tell. The donuts were fresh and warm. read more

Just my opinion...but the best doughnuts anywhere. I am from Arkansas where we grew up on Shipley doughnuts and very happy to know that there is a location in Anne Arundel County which I visited. The doughnuts were totally awesome as expected-the service and atmospherics were great as well! Real cool photos on the wall of the founder and the Shipley story. Can't wait for the new location to open in Clinton, MD in Prince George's County this month. Yay! read more

I was disappointed in the taste. There was nothing special about the donuts. I was expecting the cherry glazed to have, well a cherry taste. It was just a glazed donut with red icing. Even the chocolate glazed donuts did not give a chocolate flavor. This is a one and done deal for me. read more

This place is a great addition to the area. We recently moved and my children and I were lamenting how there was no Dunkin on the way to school like there was where we used to live; on that same drop-off trip I saw Shipley's all lit up a few days before the grand opening. I was one of the first customers and showed up very early the first day and was not let down... I showed up early a few times that week. The kolaches are good and different from what is normally offered at breakfast/pastry places. The fresh glazed donuts are tastier and easier on the stomach than Krispy Kreme. The cinnamon twists, bear claws, and apple fritter are each perfect confections. Anyway, I'm happy with this place and don't blame anyone for waiting in line to get it. Hopefully they open another store nearby soon! read more

I don't want to be too harsh because everything was very fresh and delivered quickly, but, it wasn't good. I got a variety since I'd never been there before. They were smothered in an ungodly amount of glaze, including the filled donuts. I just couldn't eat them and threw most out. The meat and cheese filled pastries were pretty good though. read more

The donuts were soft but they tasted too creamy The service was great The ambiance is kinda like a old school donut shop read more

I was excited, I heard such good things but when I got my order of donuts they tasted old/stale. I went at 8a expecting fresh soft donuts. These definitely tasted as if they were made the day before- very disappointing read more

Love this place! Once the hype died down, it's perfect to pick up some fun drive thru donuts!

It's overhyped. I was really excited to have Shirley's, but after 4 tries, I've accepted that it's nothing special. With this said, you should still give them a try. I just think they're very average. read more

My little Texas heart is so happy to have one of these in MD!! Kolaches are expensive - a dozen for $50. I was a bit surprised by that but they are so good & I can't find them anywhere else up here. Good for a little treat. The drive thru wasn't busy and got my items out to me quickly. Apple fritters & donut holes are just like the ones in Houston. Love it! read more

Heard a lot about these donuts, but never had one before. Tried the cinnamon sugar, cherry jelly filled, and strawberry frosting. Didn't taste any better than Dunkin, the strawberry frosted was hard on the outside only 1 hour after they were picked up? Cherry filled was flavorless, 2/10. Cinnamon sugar 6/10. Strawberry frosted 6/10. read more

Customer service was awesome. The lady at the register was patient as we ordered and one of the workers (the manager maybe?) offered to make one special since they were out of that flavor. Very nice staff which is why I am rating it two stars instead of one. The donuts themselves were not good. They had an undercooked and gummy texture when chewing. The dough itself didn't taste good, just plain. Will not return because just 5 minutes away is Carlson's Donuts which taste like real donuts should. read more

I can't believe the bad reviews. These donuts are freaking delicious!! Best I ever had! You can't even compare them to DD. Thousand times better. DD sells you day old stale donuts and they don't make them anymore, they are shipped in. Shipley's is truly homemade freaking delicious donuts!!! read more

Shirley's is the best! I was nervous it wouldn't be as good as the locations in Houston. I drove 20 mins just to get me a kolache and warm fresh glazed donuts and Shirley's did not disappoint. read more

Good spot if you like eating donuts. Great spot if you like buying secret donuts, hiding them in your car and eating them late at night when no one is around. Thank you Shipley Donutes! read more

Friendly service and excellent fresh made donuts! The cherry glazed and the plain iced was delicious. read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - Donuts Near Me - Odenton, Maryland

Get there early! They make everything fresh at this location! They've been opened for a few weeks and the demand for their donuts is wild - expect them to be out of some things. The glazed donuts are glazed to order and are awesome! The staff is super friendly and helpful - I found Ryan to be particularly cheerful. read more

OMG! Was so excited to see this chain since I used to live in Texas. If you want a certain flavor though, get there early!! These are soooo much better than Dunkin. read more

Hands down the best donuts around. The line was a bit long due to it being open only a week, but if the taste of the donuts is any indication; I don't expect the line to ever dwindle. I will definitely recommend stopping by for a donut and a jalapeño kolache! read more

Highly recommend this donut shop!!!! Amazing selection for a great price. The donuts were same day fresh. my only regret is not trying the coffee. I was too busy tasting the donuts read more

What I saw in just the line I won't be trying this place sadly quite frankly I don't see the hype donuts that are shipped in which equals them not being fresh when carlsons is 5 miles away just saying and if ya don't know what carlsons is ya better google carlsons donuts before you go committing to waiting in a hour long line for 3 day old donuts ‍ I said what I said read more

Hubby just waited in line for over an hour, just to be told that they are all out of GLAZE donuts!!!!!!! And I get it, they close in an hour, but I guess I was expecting them to be able to make fresh donuts in house, so I was not anticipating that the easiest donut to make would be sold out at 11:50 am. But the CRAZIEST part of this whole experience is when he asked her to then tell her what was available, the attendant acted like he spoke to her in a language in which she was unfamiliar!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean why keep ordering for someone to say that the donut is unavailable??????? I will maybe give this place another try, but the line is always so long that now I am really afraid they will never have a glazed donut!!!!!! read more

could be better...could be worse. decent donuts better than dunkin but aren't worth the drive if your far! service has always been really good. nice fast drive thru and clean inside from what i can tell. read more

This place had great service and an incredible location! Love that I can grab a donut and coffee before a hard day of work. The service was great and the donuts are incredible! I will be a regular customer for sure! read more

Taste just like the original locations in Texas! I'm a kolache girl, so happy there's a location here. My favorite is the sausage, cheese and jalapeño. read more

1st time Shipley's Donuts. Delicious donuts. I feel for the employees because they are having production issues. Fractured Prune seemed to have a better production line. I hope Shipley's works this out because they are in a good location and their donuts are great. We couldn't have the donuts we wanted on the menu, but the ones we could get were great. Be prepared to wait a bit and be prepared to order something other than what you planned. read more

I'm giving this store a 5/5 because the customer service here is always off the charts. The FOH customer service is always delightful, competent, and fast especially the lady named Kathy. The Drive-Thru customer service is always so kind and patient. The man with the cool dangly earrings always has a smile whenever I come by and is so polite. Everyone who works here is far from incompetent (some people in the reviews are simply judgemental with nothing better to do. And impatient.) I look forward to coming here every week! read more

I grew up.in Greenville, Ms. where we got the original Shipley's donuts. They were to die for! so, when I learned there was a Shipley's not far from my home in Maryland , I couldn't wait to try them. Well, they are good but too much icing on them. However, I prefer the ones in Mississippi, but I would try these again. read more
