I expected the hazelnut to have more of a chocolate nutty flavor to it and it just tasted like a lot of sugar and butter. I didn't get the hazelnut flavor at all. I don't like they have a no cash policy, which was a turn off for me. I don't like businesses that do that and has often been a consideration to not give business to a place. Also, the staff had no sense of urgency. I was trying to beat thunderstorms as I was heading to Annapolis. I ate a portion of my cinnamon roll (saving the rest for another time) at Annapolis Mall food court after I ate my dinner food. It was delicious, better than Cinnabon. I learned at a Yelp event coincidentally exactly one year later from when I visited on Thursday, July 17, Cinnaholic came up and learned it's an all Vegan bakery, which was cool. It was a bit busy as we came on Mother's Day but the service was still good and friendly. They specialize in customizable cinnamon rolls, cookies and brownies. We were greeted very warmly by the owner behind the register where we ordered the caramel apple pie cinnamon roll, the cookie monster cinnamon roll, and the chocolate overload cinnamon roll. We were asked if we were loyalty point members and I said we were newbies, so no. She didn't follow-up or explain how to become loyalty members, so I'm assuming it wasn't important enough to let us know. That was kind of a bummer, especially since I said I was a newbie, but whatever. We were told it was going to be an 8 minute wait for the rolls to be made. I would offer a suggestion of either getting a microphone or moving to the front to say the names of the customers when the cinnamon rolls are completed, because it's rather difficult to hear with customers talking and the awesome playlist of music playing on the speakers. Opening weekend and this place is popping! We went on Saturday after dinner and the wait was about an hour. We were told by the hostess though that the wait was about 3 hours on opening day. So other than the line being long the experience wasn't too bad. Waiting allowed us to view the menu thoroughly. It's completely electronic and you can download their app to join the rewards easily. It allows you to redeem some stuff for your next visit which is a nice touch. The hostess was very descriptive and nice showing people where to stand and maintaining the line as it was quite long as you can imagine. The cinnamon rolls were excellent. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the baby buns left but the (who I presume to be the owner) allowed us to try some samples of some unflavored baby buns. We wanted a dozen but they only had 3 left. Those are nice because if you buy a dozen you can try different flavors allowing you to try different combinations! A big reason for us to go back in the future! The very berry and the old fashioned rolls were both very good though. They were made fresh and the ingredients seemed to be fresh too. We tried to come here a week ago, but it was a 30-40 minute wait, so we left. We had better luck yesterday (1/29). This shop does not have a ton of space and limited seating. A pretty cozy spot. We ordered an original, Cookie Monster, cookie butter, and the chocolate one with Oreos. We were quoted a 15-20 minute wait, but it was a little longer. We knew this is a newly opened spot, so we didn't mind. I went to Target and came back. My bun had lightly sweet creams with strawberries and blueberries and a berry jam. The staff was pleasant, but the process of ordering, writing on the boxes and receiving one cinnamon roll took over 20 minutes. I ordered a simple roll with cream cheese frosting which costed me $6.25. The roll itself is very soft and doughy. The frosting is decent - super sweet though. I appreciate that they are lactose and cholesterol free. There are a lot of ways to customize your roll but I just can't see myself adding all of that "stuff" to a roll. Today I stopped for 2 cinnamon cookies and planned to use my rewards for one of the cookies. I had almost 500 points. A new restaurant in Gambrills! I love cinnamon anything so of course I had to go try them out. Since this restaurant is new in the area, plan for longer than normal wait times. I went two days after the grand opening and when I was leaving, the line was out the door. It took about 20ish minutes to get my order of two things. I ordered the very berry cinnamon roll and my daughter got the old skool roll. We enjoyed it but the frosting is toooo much and too sweet. They put so much on the roll. I took mine off. Came on a weekday afternoon, and it was fairly busy. The line moved pretty quickly, and i was able to get my cinnamon roll in under 15 minutes. I tried a roll with vanilla frosting, strawberries and caramel. Next time I will do without the caramel because it made it overly sweet, but overall it was delicious.
