My girlfriend and I came to Forward Brewing for the first time on a Thursday afternoon in April while visiting Annapolis. We've been to 60+ breweries in NJ where we are from, but this was only our second Maryland brewery. We were very impressed! The inside is clean and bright with natural light. The outdoor area is even larger with plenty of seating on the porch in front, and space on the side and behind the building. We sat in the side garden area which quickly filled up with people and dogs. They don't do flights so we ordered a few 10 oz pours while there. I tried the Phantasmic Voyage (hoppy lager), the Gilded One (West Coast IPA), and the Hipster's Delight (sour IPA). All were excellent. Couldn't have been more impressed. Equally as impressive was their system for ordering and receiving beer. They set up a small bar outside where you can order, even if you started a tab inside. Then literally seconds later someone else brings your beer outside and calls your name. A very well oiled machine. We live over two hours away but will definitely be back when we're in the area, and definitely recommend this place to other beer lovers.

Such a disappointment. We hadn't been here in awhile & were surprised that there was a host station. We were hoping to pop in for a quick beer & the host sent us in to the bar while stating "it might be a tight fit" we went inside & saw 2 empty seats @ the end of the 2 long tables but patrons were using them for their bags & the atmosphere felt unfriendly. We tried to order our bears while scanning for seats but the beertender said she couldn't serve us w/out a table # & instructed us to check in w/the host. We tried to tell her that we had in fact been sent inside by the host but she said w/out a table we would have to leave. So weird for a brewery?! She said they had no choice & had been "burned before??" No idea what that meant. Considering that there was now a long line down the sidewalk being managed by the host by this point our efforts to just have a beer were thwarted so we walked down the street to Davis & had a delicious drink & better vibes...no table required. Such a bummer about Forward though. We travel often & visit breweries all over the US & enjoyed bringing our out of town guests there. We'll take it off our list going "Forward"

Cute brewery with food in Eastport. Easy street parking and chill vibe. Beer is decent at 8$ or so a pint. Order at counter and grab a seat.

Fish salad sandwich! Yummy! Order the veggies instead of the chips!

Stopped here trying the local Breweries. Sat outside in the courtyard and ordered the PERROS JALAPEÑO beer. If you don't enjoy heat don't order this beer. It was amazing and true to its name. The service was excellent and very fast. The court yard dining was friendly and dog friendly as well! Very much beer garden appeal.

It was my first time stopping by this place today. They also have beer for carryout. They are environmentally conscious and community-minded. I found my favorite beer: Oak and Stone. It is really yummy. Next time, I will stay for food.

This perfectly fits the vibe of Eastport! The beer is creative and wonderful! They have a good amount of IPAs that are flavorful and not very bitter. A mango sour that was to die for!!! We also had the pretzel crab dip with pimento cheese . They killed it! Staff was super friendly and engaging. Very chill atmosphere that is perfect for social hangouts but can also be quiet during the day to read a book or do some work over a beer. Highly recommend! We'll be back!

Amazing dog-friendly outdoor space with great vibes! We were visiting Annapolis for the weekend with our pup and were on the hunt for dog-friendly food establishments. While we waited for our table at the ever-popular Boat Yard, we swung over to Forward Brewing nextdoor because we had read it wad dog-friendly. It really was! There were so many groups with dogs outside and it was popping on a Saturday night. You order inside (food and drinks) and they'll bring it outside for you. We enjoyed the drafts on tap and nibbled at their delicious potato wedges. Also really appreciated how convenient the water coolers for us and our pup to stay hydrated! Pro tip: if you visit on the weekends, park at Calvert Street Garage (free on weekends) on St. John's campus and take a ~20 minute stroll over the bridge over to Eastport!

A mandatory stop every time we're in Annapolis! Amazing robust beer flavors and delicious food pairings! Some of the best best smoked fish dip we've ever had and oh my that mushroom cheese steak is so crave! Served on a local bakeries, fresh pretzel bun, perfectly balanced

After boxing it three times we managed to find street parking. So good luck on that. This place is not big. So sending a search party ahead for space is not a bad idea. Ordering is indoor in a line which is often eclipsed by the line for the bathroom. But I'm not mad about it. We managed to find a barrel table and sent my hubby in search for drinks and food. The only sour was something chocolate and orange and that's a bridge too far. So I got a tasty Pinot Grigio. Hubby started with the black IPA. To mix things up he later had the white IPA and enjoyed both immensely. Food was several levels up from what I was expecting. Started with the pretzel bread. Super yummy. The cheese sauce was tasty. The mustard was awesome and some nice heat. Continued with the Buffalo cauliflower tacos and pollo panino. Both were excellent. Seriously. Great flavors. So impressed with this cute little place in Eastport. Our quest to visit MD breweries continues.

After a wonderful event in the area of even a nice outing with your friends, this is a great place to come get a small bite to eat and some adult beverages. The people behind the counter were so nice and accommodating with all my questions. They have great suggestions as well! So happy they have vegan and pescatarian offerings. I ordered the fish sandwich that comes with chips and a ale. The bread covering the sandwich was a bit thick for my liking and i couldn't finish the chips due to them being way too salty. The drink was perfect! So refreshing!! The pricing is a bit high for some of the small bites but due to the location and being the only brewery in the area, I believe that's how they get away with it. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is lovely! The indoor seating has great heat for a chilly night. Dogs are allowed!! When in Annapolis I would definitely try them out again!

So, it was a no-brainer to choose them as the venue for our wedding's welcome party. The pricing was very reasonable for such a large space and served as the bar tab for all our guests. We opted for in-house catering, and the pizza and wings were delicious as always. The staff was super accommodating and wonderful, making the food service, bar, and audio/visual a smooth experience. Welcoming and friendly even when I tried to order at the bar instead going to the place at the end to order as the sign clearly states. Sorry I was born in Wisconsin. The wood fired Meat Lovers Pizza was tasty and enough for two. We had a pretzel order and the mustard was spot on. Our beer choice was Stringray Mysterio a very good stout. Also myself the navigator needed and wanted a Mead. So Pina Colada Crush was a perfect choice. We both loved the decor and vibes. The pizza oven which was a crab design was cute but I thanked the men preparing the outstanding pizza. All the staff were fantastic.

Visited with a bunch of guys after touring the Naval Academy campus...a short walk from the campus, it's a great Irish pub with a great ambiance and selection of Irish beer on tap (Guinness, Harp, Smithwick, Kilkenny) as well as the usual American brand. In addition, it houses a great selection of whiskeys: Irish (Bushmills, Jamesons, Red Breast, etc. - the different varieties), bourbons (to include Pappy's, Blanton), scotch (MacAllans), etc. The dining experience pairs well with the beer and whiskeys. The meat for the reuben sandwich and traditional corned beef are selected and prepared in a traditional manner making it delicious. If you are lucky, you will meet the owner of the establishment, who will regale you with stories about past Academy graduates who would return to the pub after graduation or even about his playing in a rock & roll band. Great food, beer, whiskey, atmosphere, and if lucky, great stories and an experience. When visiting the Naval Academy, take a yonder down the street, you won't regret the visit.

A patron next to us asked just before we did and got refused too -- then was abruptly cut off and denied service shortly after talking to us about their own bad experience there. ANOTHER patron, came in after we did, was also treated rudely and refused service. My own issue: ordered a lemon drop with tequila (not vodka.. it makes me sick). First one was fine. After a bartender shift change, the new bartender -- who was actually the shift lead -- made my second one, and it was clearly off; I suspected vodka was used. I asked for it to be fixed, was refused.. So I sent it back, and asked for it off the bill. Paid my tab in full, then noticed at tip time the charge was still there. Server said the bartender wouldn't remove it. When I spoke to him directly, he blamed me for ordering something "nobody knows what it is," and when I said I'd dispute it with my card instead, he attempted to snatch my card off the table. I refused to engage further with him, asked for someone else (refused AGAIN) so I left.. I will be disputing the charge with Amex since he was the only one with register access. Multiple tables treated poorly in one night. SKIP THIS PLACE!! Smug and disrespectful bartender pictured..
