Holy noisy place batman!!!!!! The menu looked awesome when I viewed this place on Yelp. For the most part everybody that reviewed it had great things to say. Great drink specials but the joint is most definitely a dive bar with a cook that loves on the side of adventurous. The menu for s adult friendly, yet lets one venture outside the box. For example you can have a chuck ground burger or a wagyu burger. What bar in Edgewater had wagyu burgers......none! The place is clean and the staff super friendly, but the small size makes a normal conversation very hard to accomplish. Just add a little alcohol and you have a full out concert decibel experience. The poor staff will have hearing problems in the future. I ordered the Fried Chicken Stack and fries. The sandwich was a fresh chicken breast breaded and fried, on a toasted bun. The sandwich had blue cheese dressing, buffalo sauce, a slice of cheese with ham and bacon. It was fresh and juicy. The French fries are fresh cut and perfectly crisp with just the right amounts of salt. This place is what foodies would call a hidden dive, these types of places make it on DDD. Enjoy but take hearing protection.

$21 For this platter minus the tater tots, which we ate, because those were good. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

We ordered food for pick up and not only was it horrible, the price and presentation was horrible. We paid $21 for a seafood dinner and the price did not fit meal. Oh and we ordered Chicken Wings, they were out. Who runs out of Chicken? Anyway, won't order again! I was reading the other reviews. They must have changed ownership recently, because they don't even carry Tacos anymore, which was on their menu.....or most of the stuff on the menu. Good luck, and hopefully it was just me and my friends "carry out" food!!

Came here to meet a friend for Saturday brunch, and there were only a few tables occupied. Ibgrabbed a Hightop while waiting for my friend and got some menus...Friend showed up, and we waited for our server. It took at least a solid 5 minutes just for them to come over, during which time I witnessed her do one table checkout & that was it. She finally came over to take the drink orders & disappeared again for another 10 minutes. Another server vane on the floor right around this time, but it didn't change anything as far as attention to us. Nobody came to see why our table was still empty, etc. By this time, my friend was starting to grit her teeth and asking if I wanted to just leave & was apologizing for recommending this place. Since we were just catching up, I gave them the benefit of the doubt & said e could stay. Finally got our drinks & tried to order...but several of the things on the menu were out of stock. Serving etiquette 101: let your guests know ahead of time instead of letting them sit there for 30+ minutes. (We really should have gone elsewhere.) We settled on some things that WERE on stock & then waited on that. French toast for me and steak-n-egg thing for her. The food itself was good, but again, it took way too long for not being busy. Based on the service, I would not choose to return. The 3 stars are for the food only.

Glory Days Grill…read more Stopped into Glory Days in Edgewater and everything hit exactly the way you want it to. Food came out fast, hot, and loaded up the nachos were stacked heavy, not skimpy, with real toppings and good melt on the cheese. The ribs were glazed perfectly, tender, and messy in the best way. Crispy onion straws on the side, solid portions, and nothing felt rushed or thrown together. You could tell the kitchen was locked in. Drinks were cold, poured right, and never empty. But the real reason this place gets 5 stars is Georgia. She handled service, bartending, and the whole flow like a pro. Friendly, attentive, fast, and kept the energy right the entire time. You can tell when someone actually knows their craft and she absolutely does. Great food. Great service. Great vibe. Easy 5 stars. I'll definitely be back. We've been at this location before but it's been a few years since we have moved. We always had a nice time previously but times change and you never know what to expect. It had a good crowd for a Monday night. Restaurant was clean and had good energy. We sat at the bar and were greeted by our server Jessica who was so sweet and quick and friendly. I had the salmon and strawberry salad and it honestly was fantastic. The salmon was seasoned perfectly and was very good. The salad was fresh and crunchy and super flavorful. My husband got a burger and said it was good and he can be picky! We were only drinking sodas that night and Jessica was quick with the refills. It honestly went from a dinner out of necessity to a surprisingly really nice time. Honestly couldn't have been happier with our experience at Glory Days in Edgewater!

West End Grill Great Food, Outstanding Service…read more Stopped into West End Grill and had a genuinely great experience from start to finish. Started with the cream of crab, which was rich, hot, and perfectly seasoned , smooth, comforting, and exactly what you hope for when you order it. What really made the night, though, was Jenna. She was both the hostess and our server, and she absolutely nailed it. Friendly, attentive, and professional without ever hovering. She set the tone the moment we walked in and kept everything running smoothly the entire meal. When the service is that good, it elevates the whole experience and that's exactly what happened here. Jenna was the star on top of an already solid meal. Easy 5 stars. Would happily come back.

I am glad we did. First off, looks can be deceiving. Part of the reason I've never come here before is because from outside, it looks like a dodgy sports bar. And while the inside is most definitely for sports fans, with plenty of memorabilia and TVs, imagine my shock when I got a taste of the service, the food, and the overall vibe of the establishment. Our server was a very nice young woman who did a great job of checking on us without coming off as overeager. My brother and I aren't big drinkers, but that didn't dissuade her from not giving us as much attention as other patrons with bigger tabs. I ordered the french dip and my brother got boneless wings tossed in the honey old bay sauce. This is definitely elevated bar food (with great portion sizes to boot): my sandwich had freshly baked bread and came with fresh cut fries and a savory au jus. My brother commented and said his wings tasted like they were battered and fried to order. The prices are moderate -- given the level of service, the taste of the food, and the portions, we definitely felt like we got our money's worth. I'm happy to add this to place to my rotation -- just proof once again that sometimes the best places are the most unassuming!

I think they'd benefit if the outside were brightened up or refreshed a bit and the parking lot could use some lights at night, BUT it is the "dark" horse. ‍ It's 5 stars not because it is a 5 star restaurant but it's everything you could ask from a local pub. The wings are crispy and medium sized... not small and boney but also not ridiculously big. Cooked perfect. I do wish they tossed them in sauce instead of pouring it on top, but at least they are generous with the sauce. Wing prices are great! $7.50 for 6 and $13.25 for 12. Always daily specials with things like fish sandwiches and such. I tried the gyro last time I was in and it was a lot of food and very good. Some nights there is a security guard in there who seems to be checking IDs and I guess handling any situations. I've never seen it needed in there, but I'm sure he's there for a reason and it's nice they invest in him so it does not fall on the bartenders. They have a video juke box to keep things lively on nights there isn't a band. Mens room is predictably awful for a dive bar and smells like piss. There's a patio out back and out front, if you want to get outside for a smoke or fresh air.

This time, in April 2025, we arrived around 7pm, and found parking in a garage about a block away, though with better timing we might have parked right out front on West St. This was intentionally a little early for their 8pm live show, and we found a table in the front window, with fun people-watching, and walls lined with a gallery of local artists' works. One of the regulars suggested their generous creative 49 West Salad of fresh greens, cucumbers, tomato, and red onion, with blueberries, apples, almonds, and gorgonzola cheese! An exciting flavor experience! They also, steered us right on 49's Reuben sandwich, with traditional house-made tender juicy corned-beef and melted swiss, with house-made Russian sauce on soft marble rye, with the sauerkraut substituted at my request by house-made creamy cole-slaw. A rich delicious messy sandwich! And well-made drinks: a refreshing lemony minty fizzy Mizuwari with Baraky Japanese whiskey, and their Old Fashion 49 which includes some orange-y Grand Marnier. Both were creative strong and flavorsome takes on classics. Of course they also have a broad ranging menu, especially after 5pm. When the back room opened, we sipped our drinks (and got refills :-) while swaying to one of our favorite musicians, Tom Mitchell, playing this evening with Jim Stephanson as the talented and versatile Blue Rhythm Boys: Jazz, Western Swing, Blues and more, for a $15 cover. It was fun to hear them riff off classics and off of each other, mixing in stories and reminiscences, and this evening sweetly dedicating some to a friend's 75th (more or less) birthday. You just feel at home with them, and we do seek out Tom's performances, and then seek out his fellow musicians next gigs, too, as far off as Columbia and Rockville! A wonderful relaxing evening, with friendly efficient staff, good food, nice locals, and great music.
