Stopped by on a Thursday evening and if you are a "regular" here, you know what night it is! I, on the other hand am not a regular so I was surprised that it is Prime Rib Night! I was very excited to try their prime rib. This isn't my first time here but it is a bit further than I would like to drive for dinner but for whatever reason, I did and I have no regrets. My server, Amber, a very sweet young lady took care of us, personable and funny. I enjoyed speaking with her about their live music later that night and other promotions that are at Mother's. My prime rib came out and it was so tender, hot, juicy, flavorful...I hared it! Continuing to 5 zip codes past my home to Arnold 21012. This will be the end going east as I've never been to any places in Cape St. Clair. I went to Mother's Peninsula Grille one time on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. It was with an Annapolis area based Meetup social group for trivia night. I knew a couple of the people from another Meetup I was in and thought it'd be worth the drive all the way east to here that Tuesday night. Burger was excellent. I got an egg on the burger, yum! Service was good as I recall. Trivia was a lot of fun. We even got a free shot for the whole table for getting a specific question right or winning a round or something. Think it was like a lemon drop. The only issue was that the acoustics were bad for the trivia and was hard to hear the questions being read, so posed a bit more challenging as it was noisy. I'd go back here for trivia or otherwise. However, on a sad note, the very next morning I went to my office and to do some work travel that afternoon. My dad called at 9:15 AM breaking up about our family dog dying. I still did the work travel that afternoon but I was despondent and numb the rest of the day. I really like this place! I order from here all the time! They may be my hidden gem! My dad loves the meatloaf meal. Most times he gets it without the sauce since he can't really do the spicy anymore. I love the poboy sandwich with extra tarter and chipotle sauce. My new fave is the ledge with blackened salmon and shrimp! I usually get the chipotle Caesar dressing with it and it is to die for! Those are my go to's. Then, for dessert... it's the bread pudding beignets EVERY TIME! I usually eat it in the same day but it carries over well into the next day as well! Great food! Great atmosphere! Mothers is great for watching sports- tons of tv's all around the bar and restaurant area! They have live music too which is great and their wings are amazing. Recently went there for happy hour and got $5 beers and $10 Buffalo dip! They have a great happy hour on Monday's which is all day 11:30-6:30! read more

I've been to the other Mother's location in Timonium so I knew that the food would not disappoint. I met up at this location with a friend for restaurant week. Location was easy to find and there was lots of parking available on the lot. We were greeted and seated quickly and service was really fast and friendly. The menu for restaurant week was full of great options and you couldn't beat the price of $35 for a 3 course meal. In addition, we did purchase an additional app which was the loaded cauli-sprouts. They were outstandingly good! The soups were good. I favored the crab of crab over the Maryland crab soup. I ordered the braised short rib. The short rib... tendernism!! I have not complaints. The mashed potatoes were so good also. My friend had the Peppercorn ribeye. The cook on the steak was a perfect medium but the steak itself had an overwhelming burnt taste and the Peppercorn sauce didn't help. The chocolate lava cake and ice cream was a great finish to my meal. The cake was very warm and gooey. Overall, the experience was solid. read more

Americana smashed with thick cut fries for the win on a beautiful end of March day. Was craving a good burger that was not a fast food option. Mother's always delivers win great food at or near the same price as a fast food option. Why eat at a McBurger joint and get cold food for pennies less than a fresh made meal out at a local place. Great food! Service is always great. Tuesday trivia nights are fun. Recently management changed and the choice of music changed with them. It used to be great. When the restaurant first opened food and service was on point..now it has drastically changed for the worst. First off it took 30 min to be greeted by a server. After being greeted we were asked for our drink order then we did't see our server for another 25 min for just draft beer and a soda seemed ridiculous. At no time were we made aware of dinner specials or drink specials. After drinks we ordered wings for the table, and was told we were only allowed one flavor...in the past they would do half/half, guess that was too complicated, so we ordered them one flavor and that with the truffle fries took 45 min. During this time one of our guests decided it would be better to go to the bar for drinks seeing the waitress had blinders and no sense of awareness of tables or customers. When the apps finally arrived she took our entree order...a kids meal, a bison burger, a Cuban, a French dip, and a Ahi tuna salad. After waiting 40 min. our waitress came to me and said...we just ran out of Ahi...on a Saturday. I then ordered a black and blue salad with a crab cake up-sell. After waiting 60 min. entrees arrived. Food was subpar at best. The crab cake tasted sour and my steak on the salad was way over cooked when asked for rare. There was no manager to be seen, nor was there any proper table touches to see if our party was okay. For over $300 I am extremely disappointed in what has become of a once favorite of mine and will not be recommending this establishment to any of my friends and family until changes are made. Food was absolutely delicious and great price! I had the fish and chips and the fish was so fresh and well cocked that I basically melted in my mouth. The coleslaw is incredibly fresh and a great pairing! Got sat quickly despite it being a Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and personable! Very solid wing place. Some of the better wings you can order in Annapolis from what I've seen. It's American faire, so be warned venturing too wildly on the menu, but they have great service and a really nice family restaurant atmosphere. I have not been to Mother's Grill in about 3 years as the food really isn't worth my spending money on. However, I took a leap of faith and took my son out to eat there this evening. We ordered the simple American Burger with American cheese. Our waitress assured me it was not a frozen burger but made freshly. Well, the burger came out and it was horrible. Definetely pre frozen. The cheese was gross on it. The mac and cheese was horrible. We will not be supporting this restaurant as there are many other fine establishments. This is bar food at it's worse. BTW, I cook. Bottom Line: Diverse menu, good food and nicely packaged for to-go orders. Mother's has a fairly diverse menu and my husband and I have not been disappointed with the drinks, food or service. During COVID we have been getting take out on occasion and it has been a great experience. It has always been ready on time (and often a bit early), well organized for pickup and nicely packaged. We mostly recently got take out for my husband's birthday which consisted of boneless Ravens wings, crab cakes and a steak quesadilla. He had really wanted the Cruz Bay Tacos with steak but they were sold out so we went to plan B which included all of the aforementioned items. I was most impressed with the crab cake entree as they were pretty legit. Tons of lump meat and no filler such that they easily fell apart which I really appreciated. We often get bone-in Raven's wings but decided to try boneless on our most recent run. I definitely recommend the bone-in over the boneless. We always sit at the bar and have always received excellent service from all of the bartenders. They are always welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our favorite appetizer is the chicken quesadilla and we order it just about every time. We have also had the wings and the chicken fingers. No complaints there. Fire on the Mountain is my favorite sandwich but I typically order it without the bread. My husband has tried several of the sandwiches (Wharf Rat Club and Fed Hill French Dip) and enjoyed them all. read more

I have been a customer of Mothers Península Grille in Arnold for many years but over the last year I've been disappointed in the take out service. We have ordered food several times and when we came to pick up our food they guaranteed everything we ordered AND paid for was in our bags. That has not been the case, when we get home and discover several items were missing. At that point who wants to get back in your car and go back and complain to people that don't care or offer to give a hoot , tell you they're sorry and please come back. It happened again tonight when I ordered AND paid for 10 boneless wings only to get home, once again, to find only & wings in my order. It seems pretty easy to make sure your kitchen staff at least checks to make sure what you charge us for is actually included when you support our local restaurants. We have so many choices you would hope the restaurants we choose to support would not take our business for sure. read more

While I've been to the Purple Patio tons of times, this was my first time at this Mother's location. We decided we wanted to go out for burgers - someone recommended Mothers - and it ended up being a fabulous choice. We arrived and were seated immediately. We had a 7 year old with us and they gave him a place mat with fun activities on it which kept him busy. We all ordered burgers- I got the Chessie which was amazing and I would get it again for sure. Its a burger covered in crab dip, crab, and cheese. My boyfriend got the Broadneck bison burger which he enjoyed. The other 2 adults both got the mushroom swiss burger and the child got a bacon cheeseburger off the kids menu. Everyone really liked what they ordered. You can get chips, fries or colesalw w your burger and I went with the chips. They were great. The people who got fries were also happy w that choice. Service was great! We gave this place a try last week when we had a friend staying with us from out of town. It is about what you'd expect from the branding and menu! Our server was super friendly and on the ball with refilling our drinks. There was a band warming up on a Saturday night around 6/630, but the waitress said they didn't start playing until later that night (like 8 or 9pm, I forget the exact time!). It seemed like it would be loud when they started playing, though. The menu was diverse and had tons of options for everyone. We ordered two appetizers (loaded cauliflower/Brussels sprouts and steamed shrimp). Two of us ordered burgers and the third ordered a salad. The appetizers came out quickly and then less than five minutes later our entrees came out- we could have used slower pacing between the two to relax and enjoy our meal. All of the food was good- although it wasn't amazing, everything was solid. Our only complaint was that some of the shrimp were overcooked, but the majority were cooked well. While we were able to get seated right away, there was a few groups waiting by the time we left. Overall, we are glad we gave this place a try and will likely be back! read more

He presented us with knowledgeable and took us a audible journey of his favorite menu items. We settled on the succulent pork belly (pork candy) and perfectly seasoned dry rub lemon pepper wings! I get the flats and hubby gets the drums. Entrees of big olé mouth watering jambalaya and fish and chips! Fresh cut French fries are generous portions! Giant portions of breaded rockfish. The breading was a bit thick for me, but it was tasty! For dessert I had the bread pudding beignets and coffee! A perfect setting for a nice date night! The scallops special alone deserves 100 stars, such a well put together meal. The drinks were a little more expensive than I was expecting, and the band that plays on Friday nights is VERY loud so it makes it hard to have conversations. I have recommended this place to people visiting before. They have a very large menu to choose from. My favorite is the nachos and bbq chicken sandwich. This was our go-to date night. The service is good, prices are fair, and it has a good atmosphere. My only complaint is I usually find the live music to be turned up way too loud, to where I can't hear others at my table unless they yell. But the live music I believe is only on weekends, so you can choose if you want that. read more
