First off, I love the food here and I love Kim. There are only about two people I won't deal with, and unfortunately this review is about one of them. I've only had two bad experiences here, and I eat here about three times a week, so this really stood out to me. I've never had issues like this until now. I'm writing this because of the service from the short blonde-haired manager and the hostess who were working. They were having a personal conversation with someone for about two minutes while I stood there waiting to be seated. I expected they would at least acknowledge me or ask what I needed before continuing their conversation, but that didn't happen. After waiting and not being acknowledged, I ended up leaving. It was disappointing because this place usually provides great service, which is why this experience stood out so much. Given this experience, I'm honestly not sure I'll be back. This is the perfect place to watch sports. There are truly at least 50-100 TVs with every game and sport on as possible. The staff is very friendly and if there is a different game you would like on or need a game turned on at a TV closer to your seat, they are always happy to oblige. I spent several days there during the WNBA and NCAA seasons this year. The food is very good as well, I have had many items off the menu from pizza to salmon to sandwiches. The environment is something like an Applebees, casual, not too loud but there is often a fun and welcomed cheer from one table or another when a favorite team scores! read more

Wow what a night. From the start we were greeted by a wonderful young lady named Riley. She was very helpful in getting us a table for a party of 11. Alex was our waiter and he was on point making sure we knew about the specials and dealing with our large group. The manager Amanda got us a 15% military discount. The was amazing. I have the all American burger with crispy fries. Also had some boneless wings with mango habanero sauce. Everyone was very happy with their food and we will be returning. The pizza here is delicious and the service is really good. It's reasonably priced and they have some good specials throughout the week. It's a typical sports bar atmosphere with TVs all over, comfortable booths or tables that can be squeezed together for large parties. I'm reminded why it's been two years since my last visit here. While the establishment is clean ... it's too, industrial in appearance. Employee greeting us actually didn't great us. Just saw two people and said, "follow her." Seated at first booth in restaurant which technically had zero views of the 17 large screen TVs in the dining area. Asked for different booth further into restaurant... was told 'sure' with a grimace... I did not see an eye roll but the body language said 'she wasn't thrilled with the request.' Don't know why as the restaurant was close to being empty. Smash burgers ordered with well-done, dark, fries. In less than 10-mins the order was delivered. No complaints on the 10-mins as the place was empty. However ... - fries blonde as can be; undercooked - hamburger buns fresh out if bag, no hint of toasting - two, limp, barely cooked bacon strips... sorry BJ but limp undercooked bacon is shameful Asked for new order of well-done, dark fries. Rest of meal ok but in my opinion the Smash-burgers lacked flavor. Just was finishing up with our burgers, the 2nd order of fries arrived. They were 'dark. Well done, and HOT!' Just as we had originally requested. One has to ask why this couldn't have been accomplished the 1st time around. Sitting with two empty food baskets filled with used napkins and silverware. Server arrived and asked is we wanted a dessert or check. We said check. Server failed to clear empty food baskets. He returned with bill and again didn't clear table. Returned to get credit card; failed to clear clutter. Returned with receipt for signature and again, didn't clear the clutter. Guess this isn't taught here or he was just uninterested in job activity. Well, maybe another 2-years b4 returning. Honest hot take. Pretty much thought this would be a take on Bill Batemans with a cleaner floor. We waited a while before going so they could work out the kinks. Went on a Friday night and was early enough for immediate seating. They've made great use of the space. It's very open inside and that nasty carpet is gone. Fresh and clean! Prompt and friendly service. A varied menu and solid local draft beer list. Very impressed by that. Good: Pizza for the kid. We tried it too and it was super tasty. Good crinkle fries. My husband and I visited JB's just a couple days after their grand opening. We sat in Nate's section and he provided amazing service. I had a couple bottled beers which were on special and my husband had a grapefruit crush. We started with an order of boneless wings with the old bay hot sauce. They were delicious. We had an all American bacon smash burger and the Monterrey jack grilled chicken dinner. All of the food was cooked well and tasted great. There are a ton of TVs that you can catch all of the games on. We will definitely be back in the future. Only complaint...have some delicious dill pickles instead of just bread and butter ones. We were there for a Monday lunch. Only 8 other people in the restaurant, so not too busy to do things right. Our first time here was amazing- food was done so well, served hot and great service. Came back ordered the same items and it was trash. Rolls where dry and hard on our orders, the fried items where hard/ completely cooled off- overcooked to the point the breading has just crumbled off of a lot of the items. The shame is they can serve amazing food- when they want to- which certainly wasn't this day. We wanted burgers, so this looked like a great place! The burgers were picture perfect, but did not taste outstanding. They kind of lacked spices and flair in taste. The service was great- attentive and pretty quick for a Sunday afternoon/ evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and feels like a sports bar with booths and high top tables with TVs all over. I also had the shrimp poboy. It was good; the shrimp were perfectly fried and the sauce was yummy. The bun was huge so it was difficult to eat it as a sandwich, but it was still delicious. So, today I decided to give this spot a try...and I was not completely disappointed! My only complaint about this place was the Hostess that took me to my table...she was definitely rude as hell! This spot is newish - it's been around for about a year - so I figured I'd give it a shot tonight as I was in the mood for takeout. I ordered chicken tenders, fries, and coleslaw because I thought it would be the easiest thing to make on the menu and it would travel well. Before I go on with the review, let me specify that I'm aware this is a sports bar and grill so I wasn't expecting fine dining, but there are still some basics when you're dining out that JB's fell short on. The chicken, while the cuts were quality, was somehow super juicy, but incredibly dry on the outside and not crispy. On the menu on their website, it says it was supposed to come with honey mustard on the side which I think would have greatly assisted the food I ordered. Alas, no honey mustard with my order -- I guess they reserve dipping sauces for in-person dining experiences. The fries were cold and limp and unseasoned. Fries should be crispy, hot, and salted. That's Food 101. I could *maybe* give the benefit of the doubt if it was a long drive back to my house, but I live less than 10 minutes away. The coleslaw was nothing special, but I don't think there's anyone on this planet who legitimately gets jacked up for coleslaw. The only reason I'm not giving this place a lower score if because I know a takeout experience is somewhat different than eating at the restaurant and critiquing it's service. This is also my only experience there thus far and therefore this could be an atypical experience. I def won't be ordering chicken if I give them a second chance though! read more

Bottom Line: Casual family friendly sports bar with burgers, beer, pizza, etc. On a rainy Saturday my husband and I ventured to JB's. He'd been previously and we'd both gotten take-out from there but this was my first time dining in. Overall it was a good experience especially thanks to attentive service. For food we got, well, bar food. My husband had chicken fingers and I had a smash burger. The chicken fingers were a bit tough but I really enjoyed my classic smash burger. I think smash burger is kind of a trendy phrase but its basically just small, thinner patties in my opinion. In hindsight I wish we'd tried their wings. Next time. JB's has a full bar but we stuck to soda. We were there on a Saturday in July and without there being any major sports on the restaurant was not busy. In contrast, we had previously tried to go for a Sunday lunch during football season and it was a 90 minute wait. The decor was typical for a family friendly sports bar and a bit cheesy. Lots of bright colors and tons of TVs. Flags for local sports teams and oddly, NASCAR, hang from the ceilings. The great service we received was the highlight of our visit. read more

We took a friend out to dinner, her town, her suggestion. Otherwise I am not sure I would have ever come here. From the outside it looks like every other generic burger bar/sport bar in a strip mall in Suburbia (there is nothing wrong with that, it works). Overall it is a decent enough place for a bar fare meal and a good solid dose of radiation. I stopped counting giant flat screens at 20. There is also music (okay volume) and the general din of a crowded room. I am sure corporate consultants have told them to "buld a high energy vibe". If you have any sensory issues this is not the place for you. With no facts at hand, it strikes me as a place for families (day time/weekends) in the area to bring the lacrosse/soccer team for a "sports bar" experience. The kids can get burgers/pizza/shakes, and mom/dad can get a bit buzzy without anyone judging. Perhaps at night it switches over, for at best, young singles on the make - at worst a sausage party bathed in TV light. We had a classic burger, tex mex burger, and a cobb salad at our table. Started with onion rings. The food is average, nothing bad, nothing particularly notable. Somone else mentioned the bread & butter pickle- concur, would perfer a classic dill. The pickle is not the moment to try to pull off a culinary "innovation". I would suggest ditching the crinkle fries for adult plates (replace with skin on or something else more polished), and upgrading the burger bun a bit. I know margins are tight, we were 3 people, no alcohol @ $63 (with tip) for a quick Tuesday night dinner (inflation,market forces, global supply chain, conflict in Ukraine, etc, etc.), so a dollar here or there isn't going to shock this crowd. I wouldn't not come back, but I would be more likely to try some local (non-factory) place. Location and prices do help ensure a "desirable patron". read more

So happy my husband and I were finally able to check this place out! This used to be where the old Bill Bateman's was and we've been waiting to see what would replace it. Very open and comfortable atmosphere. Lots of TVs and sports coverage. Clean bathrooms. The service was wonderful - quick food delivery and we were checked on quite a bit. I believe the manager was there and he was on top of things. The food was delicious! We had the nachos as our starter and I was impressed. I'm a nacho snob and the fact that they used both shredded cheese AND queso was a win win. For our entrees, we both went with the smash burgers. Very tasty. Even the crinkle cut fries had a nice crisp. We will definitely be going back to try more of what they have to offer. We've been waiting for this place to open for a long time and were so happy to see the "Open" banners last week. Normally we won't rush for the grand opening of restaurants because taking a family of five usually has us waiting an hour just to get a table. But we had a date night (ah, the elusive date night!) and decided to call ahead at 6 pm on a Thursday night. We were welcomed with no wait! "What manner of sorcery is this?!?" We sat down and were immediately greeted by a friendly server. The food was delicious. The beer was cold. The service was excellent (a RARE feat for a new restaurant in our experience)! We had dinner and will certainly return. My only point to share with you, reader, is that this is definitely a TV atmosphere. It's like Bubba's in North Glen Burnie with TV's literally everywhere. Do not come if you need a tech-detox. Makes for a tough spot to give each other undivided attention for conversation, but it's a great spot for burgers, pizza and wings during the games, I'm sure! Most of the seating we saw was for smaller groups (4 and less) so hopefully we'll be able to have an excellent second trip with our kids in tow. I have been looking forward to going to this restaurant for a few months. It was not as wonderful as I hoped it would be. The food was just OK and the service was a little neglectful. I got a Reuben and I thought the meat was too fatty and tough. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak, and both of us agreed that our sandwiches were average bar, food, quality. On the plus side the atmosphere was cheerful and friendly and the beer selections were decent. The onion rings and fries that came with her sandwiches were good.
