I have not had a meal at Two Rivers steakhouse in probably a year and a half. My wife and I used to go there often when they first opened. But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. The salmon sat on raw spinach. I liked the rice and salmon. My dad enjoyed his salmon as well. The boys enjoyed their burgers. The cream of crab was tasty with a hint of spice! I came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and had a really great experience! The service from the hostesses to the servers was wonderful. I was the seasonal bourbon strawberry drink and it was delicious. I had the wedge, mussels and chicken carbonara. The wedge was excellent and loaded with cheese and bacon. The muscles are a giant portion and delicious. The breast it's served with was excellent. The carbonara was cheesy and really yummy! The servings here are large! This is basically the first time we visited Two Rivers and it was a great experience. It was a Friday evening on the earlier side (5 pm) so I called to see what the wait was and whether you could get on the waitlist by phone. We were able to get on the list and checked in when we got there. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival. Had a nice booth in the middle of the place which was very busy. I have recently gone through radiation to my mouth and so it is sometimes difficult to find things I can eat but Two Rivers had several options for me. I got the Mussels in garlic and butter sauce and squash medley which were both juicy and delicious. My husband got the Louisiana Pasta which was chock full of seafood in a creamy sauce. Both dishes were generously portioned and we had to get boxes which we finished the next day. Visited Two Rivers last week to celebrate a family birthday. Our waiter was nice and quick with drinks, but I think they had too many large parties at once as they didn't really check in with our table enough after that. We didn't order appetizers, but the complimentary bread was warm and sweet. Our entrées did take a while, and a few of the dishes were missing items or had incorrect sides. We asked for one of them to be fixed, but the side was never brought out. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. For the price, the crab cake itself was small, but it at least tasted good. The bread I received before my meal was pretty good. However, it was rather dense and I would have preferred a lighter texture. My meal turned out great. It was a filet mignon with garlic mash potatoes. The steak was nice and tender with a buttery and salty taste. My mashed potatoes were okay but lacked the same flavor and depth that the steak possessed. The last thing I ordered was a dessert called The Bomb. No complaints there. The cake was decadent and indulgent with a berry sauce that was nice and sweet. The service was great. Our server was funny and came around frequently to check on us. The inside was nice, yet it did feel a little cramped toward the entrance. In short, the restaurant was full of personality and had great food to go along with it. Enough food for lunch the next day! Seriously, the portions are huge--especially for the price. The husband was not thrilled about dining out. He rarely wants to anymore because he believes he can cook better for himself, usually he's not wrong. But I insisted; it had been a long day for both of us. I thought I was hungry for steak and suggested high end steakhouses in Baltimore. Not only did the husband NOT want to go out for dinner, but he certainly didn't want to drive far if forced to. Yelp showed excellent reviews for Two Rivers, so off we went. The husband made it clear he was not optimistic and only doing this (dinner out-gasp!) for me. The expansive restaurant takes up a corner of a shopping center. The interior is standard for today's restaurants--neutral tones, exposed duct work overhead--except for a wall that depicts old fashioned storefronts where the restrooms are. Very cute, giving an upscale Cracker Barrel feel. We sat at a high table in the large bar area. Rich wood tones and low-lit, natural lighting gave it a cozy feel. Kiley, our server, was right there with menus. I ordered waters and a signature drink (Strawberry Lemonade) with a slight revision that the bartender easily accommodated. I was eyeing up the Coffee Rubbed Rib Eye when the husband reminded me I really don't care for coffee rubbed steak, which reminded me I really don't care for steak at all anymore, remembering that cows are emotional creatures with souls and suffer horrible deaths at the hands of ranchers. Instead I ordered a special: swordfish with lump crab meat over basmati rice, with fresh green beans and sweet potato mash as sides. EXCELLENT, but I wouldn't order the mash again because of the intense sweetness. I ate it, though, thinking of it as dessert. The husband ordered the Seafood Combo of lobster, shrimp, crab cake and mahi mahi. "Much better than I expected." Win! The meal also included rolls (soft and warm) with butter and we also had fried calamari as an appetizer. So much food. Husband said he wouldn't have ordered an app had he known how big the portions were. All in all a perfect meal and especially satisfying because Two Rivers is not a chain. My one request of management is to stop arbitrarily giving out plastic straws. I live on a beach and have to clean them up daily from the shoreline. Wait for someone to ask for a straw. First of all let me start by saying that we consider ourselves as regulars at this fine establishment. We have had many meals here over the years and we never left disappointed. Last year we started to plan our wedding and it was a no brainer to at least price out their catering services. Danielle was very prompt and answered any questions we had during the process, be it the prices"which were actually very fair " or what her advice for us for certain food items would be. We also contacted Erin and she helped us picking our wedding Cake and Deserts, everything was above our expectations. When they day finally arrived, Danielle and the crew were there on time. First the service of getting the catering order in was top notch. The response by email was quick. Second the desserts were fantastic. Cookies and brownies. Simple but it hit the spot for everyone. Lastly the food was amazing. We had the jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, 50 honey old bay wings, 50 Buffalo wings, ginger steak, homemade Mac and cheese,veg medley and the Caesar salad for 65 people and it did the job with some leftover.
