IYKYK...just in case you don't...let me tell you!! I'm visiting my home state Maryland and my cousin suggested Mike's. Such a great suggestion! It has been a while since I had MD steamed crabs..we opted for all you can eat crabs for 50.00. The 3 of us ate and enjoyed crabs and cocktails!! Our server Yonny was top notch, he ensured we were well taken care of. We we also celebrating my cousin's birthday, Yonny surprised her with complimentary birthday ice cream and cake!! The setting was on the water and it was beautiful!! We enjoyed our visit.

Always a great time whenever I visit here! Service is great, sitting by the water getting a breeze while listening to live band was just what I needed. Food was good, tried the hamachi fish -was flaky but reminded me of Cod fish, came with fries and pickle. Enough to share so portions were adequate. Shrimp salad sandwich was good-large shrimp just needed additional seasoning. The crab stuffed potato skins were tasty as well. I think they're afraid to add seasoning but will give you a container of old bay to add accordingly.

I came here for crabs since this location is closer to home, and my past experience on Riva Road had me excited to do it again. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The all-you-can-eat crabs are only available Wednesday through Saturday, and when we went, the crabs were much smaller than I prefer--just not as satisfying to pick through. There's an automatic 18% gratuity added, which I wouldn't normally mind, but it did make me wonder if that contributed to our server's lack of attentiveness. We barely saw them, and our drink orders took a while to arrive. The waterfront views are definitely a highlight, but between the small crabs and the lackluster service, I don't think I'll be returning to this location.

My friend and I decided to go for the all-you-can-eat crabs. Pull up to the parking lot. It didn't appear to be too crowded. We arrived a little after 7pm. The first thing we see is a sign on the store stating no all-you-can-eat crabs. BID DISAPPOINTMENT. OK so we get past that. I can't remember how much the offered the medium crabs for but, the offered a dozen of large for $100.00 a dozen. Ok so we decided to order the large and an order of the crab dip shrimp. The crabs were a big disappointment as far as size. Some were meaty and some were not. The crab dip shrimp was pretty delicious. I ordered an hybrid crush which had orange and grapefruit in it. I didn't care for that at all. I then ordered a creamsicle crush. It was definitely better than the hybrid crush. Overall the dining experience was ok. The outdoor seating had an amazing view. It was awesome watching the sunset. I did place a carryout order of steamed shrimp, coconut shrimp and the crab cake sandwich with fries that came with a pickle spear. That order was to eat the following day. Now what I can say is I enjoyed all of my carryout food. It was delicious. I even shared with my sister. I would come again but, I wouldn't set my mind on getting crabs or drinks.

I had a great time here even though they did not have any AYCE crabs available we got a dozen of large and a few other menu items...we sat outside and the view was lovely...our drinks were good different flavor of crush than I am used too our waiter was a little overwhelmed but she did a good job checking on us overall I will be going back

Everything was delicious. Hot and made to order. The crabs were fresh and delicious. The Crab Oysters and Crab Stuffed Shrimp were such a great appetizer. The Snow Crab legs were meaty. The drinks were strong and on point. Ask for John he was the perfect server. Friendly, courteous, he made some great food recommendations, anticipated my every needs and when it was time to bring me a nice cold beer to go with my crabs. Sitting on the deck was so pleasant, with the umbrellas for shade and a nice cool breeze. And the view......Amazing. Plus the live band was an added touch. I will definitely be back.

On 6 July, at the recommendation of a friend, I traveled out to Pasadena to eat at Mike's. I was absolutely NOT disappointed! The food, ambiance, and service were worth the trip. I ordered buffalo shrimp, cream of crab soup, fried green tomatoes, a crab cake sandwich with fries, and a delicious margarita on the rocks with salt. Oh, and the view was breathtakingly beautiful!

Great food and an even better view! Server was great too. Always a good time. Been coming here for years.

The fresh seafood is priced very reasonably and everything is super fresh, you can tell. They have a self serve station with condiments and all sorts of things you can add. I would recommend making your "sauce" before you get all your food for the smoothest eating process. They also offer a couple of alcoholic beverages and coke products. We were seated immediately once we checked in. The brunch buffet was on its last leg ( we arrived at 12:30) so we opted to just order off the regular menu. The menu has a lot of great choices. We started with the rockfish tenders and the brodkin egg rolls, both were delicious. I was especially fond of the rockfish tenders, they were seasoned and fried perfectly. I ordered a side salad, it was huge. I ended up boxing because I would not have been able to try my main dish if I had eaten that salad. For our main entrees we went with the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackend Chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was just the way I like it, creamy not oily (oily does not reheat well). My mother said the scampi could use some cheese. The portions sizes were on point and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I had was with our service. There was a big confusion on who was supposed to be waiting on the table. Once that was settled it just took forever for the server to comeback. I had to get up a few times to get my own stuff; plates and silverware. It was busy so I'm going to give the service the benefit of the doubt. I made reservations to try the brunch buffet later so we'll see if there is any difference on a non holiday. Rumor Reel is a huge place with plenty of space for large parties. They have an outside deck/patio that overlooks the creek. Plenty of seating outside. There is a stage so I assume they have live entertainment. It was a solid spread of savory and sweet breakfast classics, including several types of eggs, old-school staples like cream chip beef and sausage gravy, as well as a waffle bar with all the fixins. There is plenty of fruit and granola for making a parfait. While none of us partook, there was also a Bloody Mary bar, so one can make up any sort of crazy combo. There are also mimosas to order. But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. But the service made up for it, and that's all the difference.

If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.
