We had a really enjoyable afternoon at Mike's Crab House North. The sunny waterfront atmosphere made it a great place to relax, and Emmy provided exceptional service throughout our meal...she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The crabs were fresh, meaty, and good quality. They were unfortunately out of the small and medium sizes when we visited, so we ended up getting large crabs instead, which were very good. While we would have liked a few more size options available, the overall experience was still very enjoyable thanks to the great food, beautiful setting, and outstanding service. We'd definitely come back. read more

Decided to try Mike's all you can eat crab special during the week at the North location in Pasadena recently. I typically eat crabs once or twice in the summer and mostly towards the end after chartering and catching them myself that I want to support my friend's craving for all you can eat crabs. I will say that a lot of the crabs they brought up were very light and we were picking through them quickly. The sizes range from mostly medium to a few large. They do not offer other sides along with the AYCE crabs so I also ordered their cheese steak egg rolls. They were huge! It's good textures with crispy outside wrapper and inside cheesy & meaty, however not a lot of flavor. We arrived after happy hour so wasn't able to take advantage of that pricing so the $8.75 crushes felt like a good deal. I possibly would go back for happy hour however I wouldn't go back for the ace crabs. I also would go back for the view and I think this is what draws a lot of people in. It's always good to be on the water chilling, eating, and sipping read more

Live music and crabs are a match made in heaven. The band they had - Nerve - was incredible!! Views are splendid. We got peel and eat shrimp, large crabs, and French fries. Crabs were piping hot and super fresh. Mustard was perfect. In our opinion, everything lacked old bay, so we had to add. But luckily there is plenty available to do so. The drinks are served in teeny tiny plastic cups... shrinkflation? So just beware of that when looking at drink prices read more

This place was awesome! Delicious seafood. We both got the seafood platters. One fried the other grilled. Food was fresh and piping hot. I'm really particular about my crabcakes and I did enjoy it. Service was on point. We ordered our food to go because we had another appointment to get too. The views are amazing from the inside to the outside. Beautiful marina. I love watching the boats. Rather sailing or docked. We definitely plan on returning for a dining in experience. read more

I just came from Mike's crab house north. I can see why the Glen burning store closed up. It was the worst dinner I've ever had. And when I complain to the waiter and all he did was come over and offer a free beer. The manager didn't even respond to my request. So I sent a free beer back to the manager. If you could post a zero star, I would have read more

IYKYK...just in case you don't...let me tell you!! I'm visiting my home state Maryland and my cousin suggested Mike's. Such a great suggestion! Our server Yonny was top notch, he ensured we were well taken care of. We we also celebrating my cousin's birthday, Yonny surprised her with complimentary birthday ice cream and cake!! The setting was on the water and it was beautiful!! We enjoyed our visit. read more

Threw up and the bathroom immediately after finishing the AYCE crabs. The service was great & the crabs tasted good. Everything was fine until I got sick. I saw other reviews saying people were violently ill after consuming food here (I read them after I became ill). When I puked, the crabs smelled spoiled coming up. read more

I finally visited this location during the summer, and I'm really glad I did! We sat outside on the deck to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. We ordered the large male crabs, steamed shrimp, crab balls, and hush puppies, and everything was incredibly tasty. I also enjoyed the live band that was playing. If you like crab sauce, you can purchase condiments to make your own dip and take them home afterward. Pros: Nice view on the water Great food/drinks Chill spot Cool staff Nice entertainment Cons: Waiting for my check took a long while read more

The food is good. I had potato skins that was stuffed with shrimp and crab. Wing with sweet chili sauce. 1 dozen large crabs $110 The servers were excellent we had party of 15. We sat outside. It was a very nice day. The only issue that my party had was when asked for mayo because they make some mixture for their crabs mayo, mustard, old bay, vinegar. My party was told by management that they don't give out mayo only for sandwiches but we can go next door to the store (which I think they run) and buy some. I would like to suggest why not make up condiments containers with mayo and they could sale it if needed. read more

Always a great time whenever I visit here! Service is great, sitting by the water getting a breeze while listening to live band was just what I needed. Food was good, tried the hamachi fish -was flaky but reminded me of Cod fish, came with fries and pickle. Enough to share so portions were adequate. Shrimp salad sandwich was good-large shrimp just needed additional seasoning. The crab stuffed potato skins were tasty as well. I think they're afraid to add seasoning but will give you a container of old bay to add accordingly. read more

I came here for crabs since this location is closer to home, and my past experience on Riva Road had me excited to do it again. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The all-you-can-eat crabs are only available Wednesday through Saturday, and when we went, the crabs were much smaller than I prefer--just not as satisfying to pick through. There's an automatic 18% gratuity added, which I wouldn't normally mind, but it did make me wonder if that contributed to our server's lack of attentiveness. We barely saw them, and our drink orders took a while to arrive. The waterfront views are definitely a highlight, but between the small crabs and the lackluster service, I don't think I'll be returning to this location. read more

Ordered a soft crab sandwich, it came with 2 soft crabs one was barely legal and the other was not legal. Ugh! It's only a good sandwich if it requires one soft crab, not 2. Otherwise you are essentially eating all batter. So why bother? Server was polite and attentive, but the sandwich was disappointing with 2 baby crabs louder in batter. Only a born Marylander would know this. read more

My friend and I decided to go for the all-you-can-eat crabs. Pull up to the parking lot. It didn't appear to be too crowded. We arrived a little after 7pm. The first thing we see is a sign on the store stating no all-you-can-eat crabs. BID DISAPPOINTMENT. OK so we get past that. I can't remember how much the offered the medium crabs for but, the offered a dozen of large for $100.00 a dozen. Ok so we decided to order the large and an order of the crab dip shrimp. The crabs were a big disappointment as far as size. Some were meaty and some were not. The crab dip shrimp was pretty delicious. I ordered an hybrid crush which had orange and grapefruit in it. I didn't care for that at all. I then ordered a creamsicle crush. It was definitely better than the hybrid crush. Overall the dining experience was ok. The outdoor seating had an amazing view. It was awesome watching the sunset. I did place a carryout order of steamed shrimp, coconut shrimp and the crab cake sandwich with fries that came with a pickle spear. That order was to eat the following day. Now what I can say is I enjoyed all of my carryout food. It was delicious. I even shared with my sister. I would come again but, I wouldn't set my mind on getting crabs or drinks. read more

Always a great experience at Mike's Crabhouse North. The staff was friendly, good views on their outside deck, an AYCE (all you can eat) crab option, and they don't mind bringing you a pitcher of water for the table! The all you can eat crabs are legit! Seasoned well and large. Sitting on the patio is a great view. Unfortunately they don't have them on holidays so keep that in mind. The hush puppies, pizza, and shrimp are good too! The first orange crush I had from here was excellent...then when I came back it was terrible and I couldn't even drink it. Super disappointing. I hope they get a consistent drink recipe together so the drinks are consistently made well. read more

Everything was delicious. Hot and made to order. The crabs were fresh and delicious. The Crab Oysters and Crab Stuffed Shrimp were such a great appetizer. The Snow Crab legs were meaty. The drinks were strong and on point. Ask for John he was the perfect server. Friendly, courteous, he made some great food recommendations, anticipated my every needs and when it was time to bring me a nice cold beer to go with my crabs. Sitting on the deck was so pleasant, with the umbrellas for shade and a nice cool breeze. And the view......Amazing. Plus the live band was an added touch. I will definitely be back. read more

Me and my friends decided to patronize At this establishment today It was a 2 1/2 hour wait for outside seating so we decided to sit at the bar And wait once our table become available we went outside once our table became available It took the server another 20 minutes to come to the table. Her name was Angel. She had a very nasty attitude and had nasty unsanitary stuff around her mouth so we requested a new waiter that took another 35 minutes which we were informed unlimited Crabs is not served after a certain time after we had waited 2 1/2 hours. But he insisted we will be served and took care of well we received one order of crabs for table of 4 ok we requested more once we had 2 crabs left outside sitting area was swarm with flying insects most of everybody outside eating got up from their table because it was so many insects flying around us No one offered inside sitting until went inside and complained about flying insects we were seated inside and still waiting for our crabs to come to our table still nothing after 20-25 mins service was horrible and manager again didn't help or apologize or anything and i like mikes Pasadena bartender inside waiting area was amazing i been several time but also noticed anyone of color was treated very differently than that wasn't i will not be returning to this location ever again. I left a review a week ago on google horrible experience read more

So, had a hankering for crabs so we went to Mikes North in Pasadena. Hubby doesnt eat crabs so he asked what "market price" was on the Broiled Seafood Combo was. We were told $21.00 by our server, so that is what he got with a salad and fries while I got the AYCE crabs. The server was beyond unattentive. We waited 30 minutes before any food came to the table, then 25 minutes after being seated, Hubby's entre came before his salad - still no crabs. He was 1/2 way thru his salad before seing a live salad bug. Needless to say, waiter was called and salad was sent back. 10 minutes later, he returned with another salad and my crabs. Waiter was almost invisible. We did get 1 drink refill and 1 refill of crabs. Asked for the check and noticed the price on the seafood combo was $38 not $21 as we were told. When we asked, the reply was "hmm, they must have just raised the price - last week it was $21". We asked to speak to a manager - who took forever to come to the table. Her response was "oh no, just the crabcake alone is $21. He is new and today is his 1st day. It has never been that price, sorry. I'll have to talk to him". And walks away to find him. In addition to paying $17 more for a meal than expected, you automatically pay 18% gratuity for the AYCE no matter how bad the service is. Dont get me wrong, Im not asking for anything free, but if you quote me a price, I expect to be charged that price. Nothing was done to resolve the problem. I understand he was new and mistakes happen, but this was unacceptable. Very poor response and attitude on the managers part. read more

Our nephew, his new bride and his dad took my sister and I here as we were visiting from the West coast. We had a tray of crabs, French fries and nutty buddies for dessert. I would definitely want to come back here and try out more of the menu as we enjoyed our time and food there. read more

I took two different sets of friends to this location last year. We all had an amazing time. The rules for the AYCE are no joke haha! Last year the last seating was at 2 this year its 7pm! Exciting :). We will go again this weekend, cannot beat the price of the AYCE crabs, they are medium sized but you have to know you aren't getting jumbo's for that price right? We have always had an good experience here, even though the wait can be a little long, its ok, the ambiance is amazing. read more

Mike's puts cream in their crab cakes, according to the manager on duty when we went. This is not mentioned on the menu. NOT a good thing for folks that can't eat dairy and definitely NOT a Maryland style crab cake. Service was slow and obviously understaffed. The manager answered our questions and then disappeared instead of assisting customers. Not a good experience and will not be back. read more

What can I say about my experience dining here at Mikes today with my family. It did not meet our expectations, the crab was good, we ordered 1/2 dozen, although we only ate 4 1/2, they served little hot butter and it became hard very quickly, we ordered mahi mahi with crab and the fish had no flavor and was not good I shout out what I can think that they took it out of the freezer and heated it, there was no time to defrost and cook it, there was a need to add salt and lemon to eat the parts that were cooked, I ordered the crab cake and I gave it a 3 for not having good seasoning. They bring you sauces for you to dip but you are paying a very high price not to enjoy and savor the food, it is definitely not something to return to, and the price is overestimated by the experience. Sorry but is my experience today read more

I was with a large group. It took forever for the crabs to come out. in the meantime I had a dinner. That didn't take too long but it wasn't very tasty.
