El Cabrito was delicious. They had a tray of taco special for $35 bucks which included 20 tacos. There were al pastor, pollo, carnitas and barbacoa. All were delicious with plenty of limes, cilantro and onion, whole jalapeños, salsas and green onions. The green salsa was our favorite, lots of flavor, bright, fresh and had chunks of avocado. Highly recommend. We will be back Tuesday to try the pupusas and more tacos for taco Tuesday ($1.50 each). Service was wonderful. The lady there was friendly and quick to respond.

I was dogsitting last week for friends in Pasadena last week, and popped into El Cabrito from seeing their "quesobirria tacos" advertising flag out front. This is little more than a taqueria, and it seems like table service is little more than an afterthought. I say this not bc the staff weren't friendly and appreciative, but more that the menu is mostly a la carte, they don't have fountain drinks, and chips and salsa costs $3.99 a basket, instead of complimentary like most places around the area. So my suggestion if you are local, just get carryout and skip the chips and salsa and overpriced cans of soda. The waittress seemed to doing double duty with phones and food prep and I even witnessed some confusion with other guests who ordered at the counter and then sat down. I *think* you are supposed to approach the counter and say you want to dine-in. It's an awkward set up. That all said, the birria tacos were on the menu with another dozen or so style tacos for $3 each. They came out quickly and were filling and hot. The consomme was a smaller container than I am used to for this item, but it was good. All in all, a good value and good food, but I will get carryout next time to skip extraneous items like the chips and a tip.

    Taco Tuesday

We've been getting food here since late summer. I would guess we've ordered 7-8 times and that means it's pretty good. We've tried many of the different taco meats, Taco Tuesday specials, pupusas, and meals with sides. This is way better food than a lot of Americanized taco places, however, the quality is inconsistent. The chicken taco is dry, dry, dry. I mean very dry and flavorless. We've tried them several times and they're dry each time. The tortillas are fresh, homemade, and tasty. The chorizo and pork tacos are much more flavorful and moist. There have been times when you can tell the chorizo has been reheated one too many times. We've had the steaks be dry and lacking flavor or very moist and flavorful at different times. The rice side has also been dried up, clumpy, and almost crunchy on more than one occasion. The biggest ongoing issue is the large blobs of fat that are in the pork tacos. I should have taken a picture of how many flabby fat chunks I pulled out of our last order, but I only have a picture of one of the tacos which shows pieces of diced fat (not to be confused with diced onions) and it's happened so much that I can no longer eat without sorting the fat chunks out first. I could have filled two tacos with the fat I pulled out of my last order. Whoever is cutting the meat certainly knows they are leaving these pieces in there and then proceeds to grill these pieces of fat that we're spending money on. I just hope they will take their customers feedback because I really do like the food and want to continue ordering, but I want to know that I'm not spending money on something inedible. This place is good and just needs to work out small problems. Also, the person who is complaining about Spanish speaking people in a restaurant owned and operated by Spanish speaking people should learn to use Google translate and stop being rude and ignorant or stay home and eat boiled hotdogs instead.

The food wasn't as good as I wanted. The prices were reasonable but I've had some good Mexican food and this wasn't it.

Most authentic Mexican food ANYWHERE! Delicious tacos and pupusas! I can't get enough of this delicious foods. There was a period of three weeks that I was here multiple nights a week... It's a good thing that I stopped eating so much there.. I gained many pounds but was so worth it

The staff are friendly. And the food. Where do I start. The food is amazing. I didn't take pictures of everything and don't know all of the names of the dishes-I forgot. Sorry. But I literally went back the next night to order the same tacos because I was craving them. I got the tacos combo-three birria tacos. It came with black beans and rice. I don't like black beans in the first place, but I really didn't care for these. They were a bit crunchy. But other than that the tacos and rice were amazing. It comes with salsa verde which was bomb and consume. And a red sauce that was really nice and smokey. My mom had a meal that came with shrimp in a red sauce, cactus, a stick of cheese, veggies, chicken steak, and the red and green sauces. She loved it. My sister got enchiladas with salsa verde. And my other sister got almost exactly what my mother ordered but it came with a fried egg instead of shrimp. Everyone loved their dishes. But note that the Pasadena location doesn't serve alcohol. My family said that a margarita would have gone perfectly with the meal. When I went back the next night, it was late so they were blasting reggaeton (not too loudly). And I loved it. If I lived closer, I would come here multiple times a week. And while we were eating, A LOT of customers came in and out ordering takeout, so you know it's good.

My torta, after I was finally able to get it out of the paper. Disgusting.

Friends treated us to dinner and they let me pick the place. I asked, "do you guys have any taco…read moreplaces except taco bell?" Boatloads of people enjoy taco bell but I've become a snob over the years. I'd much rather have a street taco or something made by someone who isn't slopping ingredients around a kitchen that has more cheese on the floor than linoleum. My friend consulted the internet and came up with el Pilar, which turned out to be a total homerun. I got a chicken burrito bowl and ate on it for three wonderful days. The house made tortilla chips are probably the best I've ever encountered. And the side order of guacamole was heaven. Jeremy had some kind of shrimp and beef nachos with a creamy pinkish sauce that were out of this world. Other food was consumed and all of it a taste sensation... I was just too busy in my own burrito bowl space to pay much attention. I'm pretty sure the meal won us all over to el pilar!

They handed me this thing off chips with salsa that was enough for five regular people or two Joshuas. The chips were good, fresh, slightly warm. The salsa was fantastic, though a little cilantro forward for someone who thinks it's soap. I ordered a chicken chimichanga for my main. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what came out qualifies as a chimichanga -- it wasn't deeply fried (or baked), and was covered with a cheese sauce like a smothered burrito. Maybe someone sent me the wrong thing? I don't bite. But, it was delicious. The sauce actually greatly complemented everything, and it was evenly seasoned. I'll definitely be back the next time I pass that way.

I went with lengua, and it ended up being the perfect choice. Tender, well seasoned, and honestly just delicious. This location feels like it's about one-third the size of the Arnold spot, but the service here still has that same team-oriented flow I like. Even in a smaller space, multiple staff members kept an eye on things, and I never had to flag anyone down. The food quality is just as solid as the Arnold location, and everything I've had between the two has been consistently good. The Severna Park location has a more compact, cozy feel, but it still works well for a casual dinner or a quick bite. And if you're coming alone or with a small group, the size actually makes it feel a bit more personal. Overall, the Crunchwrap hit the mark, the lengua was a standout, and the service was exactly what I expect from Señor Chile. I'd definitely come back to this location.

During a busy week I stopped by to grab and go. While customer service was a bit gruff considering it wasn't busy, the food was delicious! Of course no white glove here, but when I asked for a receipt, it wasn't itemized and was charged 'one comida'. I've not been to their restaurant but had I known, perhaps price points are at least shared. The truck itself is clean, has a picture board and options posted, and marked clear of other locations. We chose two orders of quesabirria (half/4pcs), an order of chicken flautas (5pcs), and a gordita al pastor. Quesabirria is meaty hefty and cheesy loaded, consome on the side! The flautas was crispy and packed with shredded chicken, and the rice and beans were seasoned well. The lettuce were not limpy at all lol! I took a bite out of the al pastor and the ratio of protein and pineapple was money. Esooo, fuego! Not a cloud on this stone, Taqueria Los Jarochos food truck is a diamond on Ritchie Highway.
