    2 tacos and pupusa
    Jannet C.

I went there on taco Tuesday and got 2 tacos and a pupusa for $5. That is a very good deal! The food was good, I sat at the bar. It was very busy, so I didn't expect much service. Overall nice place to stop on taco Tuesday.

Despite the decidedly unauthentic decor, this was a great first visit to the replacement of Lista's. We were promptly seated. The salsa was really good. It had some heat but a sweetness as well. I had a skinny margarita that was delicious. Honestly fresh juices seems even better than a mix. Hubby also started with a house margarita and the had $5 beer. And not a little one either. A legit 22oz Dos Equis. Food was served promptly and our server was great. Very friendly and funny. The portions are huge. I had the mole chicken enchiladas. You get four plus refried beans and rice. Easily two meals, if you can restrain yourself. Hubby had the chimichangas which were also huge. Our anarchist child had a burger. IDK. Definitely going back.

First time trying this new TexMex restaurant in Pasadena! Like a lot of new restaurants, they have some growing pains but show a lot of promise. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly. We admired the pretty mural style wall decor and munched on complimentary chips and salsa while deciding what to order. We decided on the the beef empanadas appetizer, Cuban torta, and the birria loaded burrito. The food: you definitely get great value for your money in terms of portion size and price here. We both ended up taking half our entrees home. My birria burrito was missing some of the ingredients listed on the menu (no rice, beans, or guacamole) but it was pretty tasty anyway. My boyfriend's Cuban torta was so large that I had a fun time watching him attempt to eat it. He removed the pieces of carne asada from it because it was extremely chewy and not tender, and it made the sandwich more difficult to eat. The service was generally good but could be better. The food came fast and we were checked up on by our waitress a few minutes after digging in. I did ask for more salsa from the food runner and did not receive it, but the waitress got it for us when we asked her. The entrees came out 2 minutes after the appetizer so we hadn't had much time to dig in before the next round. Overall I think we will be back to try their taco Tuesday special and drinks in the future.

My husband and I stopped in tonight (Sunday) around 5pm for dinner. This restaurant just opened this week and we have patiently been waiting to try it. We were sat immediately at a high top in the bar area. We each ordered a water and my husband got a house margarita. He enjoyed it. You receive complimentary chips and salsa which I enjoyed because the salsa wasn't spicy. My husband would have cared for more of a kick. Opposites attract, I guess! For appetizers, we got the corn bites and amigos egg rolls. Both were tasty. The photo that accompanies each on the website menu are not accurate. The corn bites, in the photo online, appear more like fried corn fritters. The appetizer is served like corn on the cob. The amigos egg rolls were tasty but definitely a ton of wrapper. Can't complain for the price. We both ordered the Don Panchos fajitas which comes with steak, chicken and shrimp. The serving of meat is huge! You can choose corn or flour tortillas and it comes with rice, beans, salad and green salsa. The gentleman who took care of us, Brandon, provided excellent service. We received everything in a timely fashion and never were waiting on anything. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back.

Had dinner there last night and it was very good! Nachos are huge! And delicious. So are the pupusas! Tacos also very good! You get a lot but don't spend a lot! They are doing things right for sure! Atmosphere is fun, yet relaxing, and the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly.

I ordered a chicken shrimp and scallop fajita(fajita jarochas) however there was no scallops in it. Though it tastes phenomenal and you can clearly tell it's fresh, there were no tortilla shells. My sister ordered the best birria tacos, the shell wasn't crispy/crunchy. It was different but tasty and missing cheese, I think. We ordered taco, but the waitress kept us updated on the status of our order and asked if we needed anything to drink. The atmosphere was nice the music was at a good volume and they heaven has sports on. I will be going back try other things.

Notice the sign last week. And. Decided to swing by after a 12hr shift.

Food was good. Liked the Chorizo best of Chicken , Carnitas, n Asada. A lil greasy but it's sausage. Wasn't greeted at door. Sat a bar, nice breeze from ac. After a 12hr shift. Order, food out in like 5-8mins. Was given Chips n Salsa right away by one of the staff. Only downside was wasn't ask How is everything going some far , No meant of refill on water or drink. The gentleman said was short staff. But Not one time acknowledge me. Will give another try. Once again the tacos was Good.

Service was fast and friendly , portions were large, the flavors were great. It's a good local restaurant to check out. Love what they have done with the place.

Sitting in the front waiting area because it is absolutely packed inside!

My first time here was actually last week! It was delicious! I may have ordered too much. The portions were very generous and came out hot and fresh. It was a bonus that there was street food because it's THE best comfort food. Come out and give it a try. You won't be sorry and definitely be back for more.

    Enchiladas Michoacanas
    Cristina L.

Food was pretty good but I'm used to a different style and region of Mexican food so if you order the Enchiladas Michoacanas they are not loaded with cheese, also beans here are black beans. The El Patron Molcajete was GIANT and really a good value, loaded with a variety of meats. Service was great and the restaurant has a bright, upbeat vibrance! Looking forward to trying other dishes.

Friends treated us to dinner and they let me pick the place. I asked, "do you guys have any taco…read moreplaces except taco bell?" Boatloads of people enjoy taco bell but I've become a snob over the years. I'd much rather have a street taco or something made by someone who isn't slopping ingredients around a kitchen that has more cheese on the floor than linoleum. My friend consulted the internet and came up with el Pilar, which turned out to be a total homerun. I got a chicken burrito bowl and ate on it for three wonderful days. The house made tortilla chips are probably the best I've ever encountered. And the side order of guacamole was heaven. Jeremy had some kind of shrimp and beef nachos with a creamy pinkish sauce that were out of this world. Other food was consumed and all of it a taste sensation... I was just too busy in my own burrito bowl space to pay much attention. I'm pretty sure the meal won us all over to el pilar!

His plate comes with steak, chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions, salad and tortillas. The food never takes too long and is typically ready prior to the quoted pick up time. The employees are always friendly and the food is always delicious.

It's a small place compared to a few of the larger places in our area, but that's just fine. This restaurant is worthy of your time! I was looking for something out of the norm and I was not disappointed! From the moment we walked in to lively to the wonderful aromas, we knew this was going to be a stellar experience! We were greeted promptly and told we could pick a table. We were promptly brought menus and asked for what drinks we wanted. I opted for a Tropical Pina Margarita and hubby got Sandia Chile Margarita. Came very quick and we liked them so much we got another. We could have stopped at the house made salsa that had a smoky flavor and didn't look like it was poured from a jar in the back. The chips were outstanding. We opted to get some queso dip and it was just as good! Better than any other place we have had it. For dinner, my hubby opted for the Cameron Tacos on corn tortillas as he is a celiac. He remarked that it was the first time that he had corn tacos that were *solid*-meaning the taco stayed in shape and didn't fall apart while eating. The slaw was crispy, not overpowering, the pico de gallo was spicy, but not in the burn your tongue sense. He also liked the accompanying black beans and rice. I had Michelin Tacos. The first bite of mine was a bacon wrapped shrimp in a flour taco with a very pleasing sauce. The second one I had was chicken and it was just amazing. Nice slices of chicken with a pretty spicy sauce. Since I'm a big fan of spicy, this was amazing! The last one was steak, and I mean a nice piece of steak! Very tender, not overcooked! I couldn't tell you my favorite, because they were all equally delicious. Juan took very good care of us! Great evening and we will most certainly be back! To all of you that may like the *larger restaurants* on Ritchie Highway, please do yourself a favor and seek one of these stores out! We live closest to the Severna Park location, but all the stores seem to get good feedback! This is so out of the ordinary and definitely worthy of your time!

They handed me this thing off chips with salsa that was enough for five regular people or two Joshuas. The chips were good, fresh, slightly warm. The salsa was fantastic, though a little cilantro forward for someone who thinks it's soap. I ordered a chicken chimichanga for my main. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what came out qualifies as a chimichanga -- it wasn't deeply fried (or baked), and was covered with a cheese sauce like a smothered burrito. Maybe someone sent me the wrong thing? I don't bite. But, it was delicious. The sauce actually greatly complemented everything, and it was evenly seasoned. I'll definitely be back the next time I pass that way.

During a busy week I stopped by to grab and go. While customer service was a bit gruff considering it wasn't busy, the food was delicious! Of course no white glove here, but when I asked for a receipt, it wasn't itemized and was charged 'one comida'. I've not been to their restaurant but had I known, perhaps price points are at least shared. The truck itself is clean, has a picture board and options posted, and marked clear of other locations. We chose two orders of quesabirria (half/4pcs), an order of chicken flautas (5pcs), and a gordita al pastor. Quesabirria is meaty hefty and cheesy loaded, consome on the side! The flautas was crispy and packed with shredded chicken, and the rice and beans were seasoned well. The lettuce were not limpy at all lol! I took a bite out of the al pastor and the ratio of protein and pineapple was money. Esooo, fuego! Not a cloud on this stone, Taqueria Los Jarochos food truck is a diamond on Ritchie Highway.
