I've been here many times & I always get the Empanadas my favorite. However I haven't been here over a year & decided to have an order of Empanadas Door Dashed to me. Upon first viewing the outer crust was perfect & smelled so delicious but my first bite was horrible! It literally tasted similar to how canned dog food smells. Either they changed the recipe or just cooked a bad batch of beef filling. I was so disappointed I ended up scraping all of the filling out & just eating the crust. I may go back to try again because I really liked them before. Good Restaurant & friendly people but the Empanadas are a game change:( read more

Don Pancho Mexican Grill - Empanada with beef filling looks so good and golden. The crust was absolutely delicious, but the filling tasted like like trash:( - Mexican Near Me - Pasadena, Maryland

Don Panchos's board says "Tacos are our love language". Indeed it is. It is definitely a neighborhood fave and go-to as the kitchen pounds out specials on Tuesdays and the parking lot is lit. Service here is quick and friendly. Rarely a wait, and the bar also offers tabletop seating. I've had the white fish tacos and the taco bowl (seperare visits). Both are filing and easy on the pocket. The margaritas come in different sizes and several flavors, I've only had the mango and it shakes. Chips and salsa are served in two sizes and are not on the house. Try em out and see what ya think! read more

Great Mexican food, not the Gringo food some restaurants serve. There nachos are huge and taste really good.

This is one of our go to Mexican restaurants, especially on taco Tuesday. Many different authentic tacos to choose from at a super low price. They pair well with House margaritas for a low price of $5. All their specials are actually good and we have tried many different ones. The Monday chimichanga special is enough for two people. And Thursdays with their half price appetizers gives you the opportunity to try some of the many different authentic appetizers they make. read more

I went there on taco Tuesday and got 2 tacos and a pupusa for $5. That is a very good deal! The food was good, I sat at the bar. It was very busy, so I didn't expect much service. Overall nice place to stop on taco Tuesday. read more

Don Pancho Mexican Grill - 2 tacos and pupusa - Mexican Near Me - Pasadena, Maryland

Very busy restaurant with great (cheap) food and delicious Sangria. The wait time for a table was short and the pupusas & tacos were delicious! I'll be back again to visit this neighborhood gem soon. read more

While a generous portion size for the money, many ingredients fell below the mark. The steak used in several of our dishes was tough and stringy. The fajitas dripped with far too much oil ( was it an attempt to make too much sizzle?) Kind of disappointing, service was slow to follow up. read more

First and last visit. It's painfully clear that Don Pancho has no regard for quality, flavor, or customer experience. Honestly, it's baffling there's ever a crowd here. I ordered a cocktail that tasted like juice and pretty sure there was no alcohol. The red salsa was basically tomato-flavored water, and the green one was completely flavorless. Our food took forever, and when it finally arrived, it was incomplete, yet still charged to the bill. The Molcajete was oily and stale-tasting, and the carne asada plate? Just two limp, gray slabs of meat covered with onions, barely seasoned. It tasted like it looked. The disrespect read more

Sad to say that it was a huge disappointment, considering the crowds that go here. - Chori-queso dip: my husband saw it and said right away that this wasn't an authentic place. The taste confirmed it. - The tortas: awful, stale bread. We both couldn't finish them because the bread was so old and crumbly. My steak was gristly and overcooked (well done). The other problem is that we didn't get what we ordered. I confirmed it at the counter once I saw the receipt (I ordered the torta de quesa-birria and she rang it up as torta de birria), and let her know there was a mistake. Someone else came out and told me they were the same thing (they are not, one has guac, and my husband is not a fan). Luckily he doesn't have an avocado allergy. TLDR: not authentic Mexican, staff uninformed of menu items, not careful of potential allergies. read more

Despite the decidedly unauthentic decor, this was a great first visit to the replacement of Lista's. We were promptly seated. The salsa was really good. It had some heat but a sweetness as well. I had a skinny margarita that was delicious. Honestly fresh juices seems even better than a mix. Hubby also started with a house margarita and the had $5 beer. And not a little one either. A legit 22oz Dos Equis. Food was served promptly and our server was great. Very friendly and funny. The portions are huge. I had the mole chicken enchiladas. You get four plus refried beans and rice. Easily two meals, if you can restrain yourself. Hubby had the chimichangas which were also huge. Our anarchist child had a burger. IDK. Definitely going back. read more

First time trying this new TexMex restaurant in Pasadena! Like a lot of new restaurants, they have some growing pains but show a lot of promise. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly. We admired the pretty mural style wall decor and munched on complimentary chips and salsa while deciding what to order. We decided on the the beef empanadas appetizer, Cuban torta, and the birria loaded burrito. The food: you definitely get great value for your money in terms of portion size and price here. We both ended up taking half our entrees home. My birria burrito was missing some of the ingredients listed on the menu (no rice, beans, or guacamole) but it was pretty tasty anyway. My boyfriend's Cuban torta was so large that I had a fun time watching him attempt to eat it. He removed the pieces of carne asada from it because it was extremely chewy and not tender, and it made the sandwich more difficult to eat. The service was generally good but could be better. The food came fast and we were checked up on by our waitress a few minutes after digging in. I did ask for more salsa from the food runner and did not receive it, but the waitress got it for us when we asked her. The entrees came out 2 minutes after the appetizer so we hadn't had much time to dig in before the next round. Overall I think we will be back to try their taco Tuesday special and drinks in the future. read more

My husband and I stopped in tonight (Sunday) around 5pm for dinner. This restaurant just opened this week and we have patiently been waiting to try it. We were sat immediately at a high top in the bar area. We each ordered a water and my husband got a house margarita. He enjoyed it. You receive complimentary chips and salsa which I enjoyed because the salsa wasn't spicy. My husband would have cared for more of a kick. Opposites attract, I guess! For appetizers, we got the corn bites and amigos egg rolls. Both were tasty. The photo that accompanies each on the website menu are not accurate. The corn bites, in the photo online, appear more like fried corn fritters. The appetizer is served like corn on the cob. The amigos egg rolls were tasty but definitely a ton of wrapper. Can't complain for the price. We both ordered the Don Panchos fajitas which comes with steak, chicken and shrimp. The serving of meat is huge! You can choose corn or flour tortillas and it comes with rice, beans, salad and green salsa. The gentleman who took care of us, Brandon, provided excellent service. We received everything in a timely fashion and never were waiting on anything. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back. read more

The food was excellent. We ordered the burritos taco special (brisket) with a side of consommé. We will definitely be coming back for more.

People are coming here for the drinks, as there is a large variety of them.. there is no way on earth folks are gathering for the food. The meat is abysmal, the flavors are no where to be found. The pupusa had something going for it but it took an hour to get to the table. The red salsa was basically tomato paste and water. the service was horrible. there was nothing authentic about this place. Will Not return. read more

Food is super yummy!! huge servings enough to share 1 meal between 2. service has always been decent. i've never dine yet but it looks great for a cute date! also family friendly. read more

Had dinner there last night and it was very good! Nachos are huge! And delicious. So are the pupusas! Tacos also very good! You get a lot but don't spend a lot! They are doing things right for sure! Atmosphere is fun, yet relaxing, and the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. read more

I ordered a chicken shrimp and scallop fajita(fajita jarochas) however there was no scallops in it. Though it tastes phenomenal and you can clearly tell it's fresh, there were no tortilla shells. My sister ordered the best birria tacos, the shell wasn't crispy/crunchy. It was different but tasty and missing cheese, I think. We ordered taco, but the waitress kept us updated on the status of our order and asked if we needed anything to drink. The atmosphere was nice the music was at a good volume and they heaven has sports on. I will be going back try other things. read more

Food was good. Liked the Chorizo best of Chicken , Carnitas, n Asada. A lil greasy but it's sausage. Wasn't greeted at door. Sat a bar, nice breeze from ac. After a 12hr shift. Order, food out in like 5-8mins. Was given Chips n Salsa right away by one of the staff. Only downside was wasn't ask How is everything going some far , No meant of refill on water or drink. The gentleman said was short staff. But Not one time acknowledge me. Will give another try. Once again the tacos was Good. read more

Food was pretty good but I'm used to a different style and region of Mexican food so if you order the Enchiladas Michoacanas they are not loaded with cheese, also beans here are black beans. The El Patron Molcajete was GIANT and really a good value, loaded with a variety of meats. Service was great and the restaurant has a bright, upbeat vibrance! Looking forward to trying other dishes. read more

2nd time there in less than two weeks. Our first time there our server was not very professional, to the point where I was a little pissed off. The food was very tasty. We thought we give it another try, this time our server Ashley was fantastic, the food was very good as expected. Great value for your money. Would recommend to people looking for authentic Mexican food. You have to try the Flantas, one of our favorites. read more

We tried this restaurant again, and it was even worse than before. The menu displays a good portion of chicken in their chicken fajitas. The reality is flavorless peppers and onions with particles of chicken buried underneath. We also ordered the steak quesadillas. At least we got a couple of strips of steak, which were tough and flavorless, but still the food was completely horrible. I tried to give them another chance and I want small businesses to succeed, but avoid this place at all costs. read more

was told don panchos was a great + authentic place to eat and was literally so disappointed with my food today to try it out! I ordered the fajita Saturday special which was basically just a pepper + onion salad with minimum meat????? the pupusas I'm not surprised.. they lacked flavors. I ordered birria tacos which were served on FLOUR tortillas????!!!! they were soggy by the time I ate them. Not to mention it's "authentic" feel did not exist?? It was just a day of the dead theme!!! Super disappointed! read more

20% large party fee for 2 adults and 4 kids. Very loud. We ordered 3 kids meals but only were given 2. One of our kids sat there waiting forever until we finally told our other child to share her food. The food itself was pretty good. Liked the sampler, chicken & steak fajitas. Chips and salsa also good. Sweet server too. But too small, way too loud, and wrong order. Probably won't be back. read more

We came to try this newly opened cafe. The positives are fast service, nice people, authentic decor. Unfortunately, the food was just horrible. We are from California, so used to a good variety of both authentic Mexican and South American cousin. Chicken soup was definitely spoiled, it was bland and sour. We ordered 2, took 2 bites of one, and left the other one untouched. I felt bad to tell them it's spoiled, but now looking back, I should have. 2 more dishes had spoiled ingredient (we think it was either the sauce or the rice). Both my son and myself gotten really sick about 2 hours later at the airport. We had left over of his dish with us- I opened to smell it and it was definitely confirmed at that point that his dish was spoiled. It's sad because we really wanted to give it a try and people working there were so nice. read more

We are definitely going back I want to try so many other dishes I like the new deco but I also liked the deco at Listas too! But this is newer and fresher! Prices are definitely cheaper then Listas! And is just as good if not better! I guess it's a matter of opinion! But I will definitely be returning I like they are open for lunch and everything we had was delicious that sampler is a must try I will send pic it's amazing oh Waitress so nice she gave my friend a fried ice cream for her birthday! And it was delicious I would get that again too! Also loved there Guacamole too! So I hope they keep up the work opening restaurants now you got to be really good to keep a crowd and I think there prices will keep customers coming and service was excellent!
