Can honestly say that I will be returning to Pitaya and plan on visiting their other locations with friends and family PRONTO!!! A true 5/5 gold star restaurant in terms of quality of food, menu variety, vibes and aesthetic, price point is valid due to their fresh made meals and cherry on top is their customer service!!! Feels like a piece of home and strongly recommending this spot to everyone I know! Whether its a quick bite for appetizers and drinks with friends, or a full blown dinner with family Pitaya Restaurant is it! Cant wait to visit La Sierra and their new 3rd spot!

Burrito So good.

It is so good. Couldn't stop eating everything. Very casual ambience and family friendly atmosphere. The services were fantastic!!! Come and you won't be sorry!!!!

The atmosphere here was very nice and welcoming. The owner Jorge and his staff do an amazing job making customers feel welcome so I felt comfortable and ready to enjoy a meal as soon as I walked in. As good as the service was, the food was delicious. I wanted to order everything on the menu! I had the birria tacos one day and had to come back for the chorizo eggs the next. Highly recommend

I love Pitaya! I find the service to be much more attentive and the food quality to be better than the popular local spot Mi Pueblo. The waitress' are always kind and the ambiance is nice! From time to time they host trivia and local singers. Give it a try!

Me, but someplace new!

The service here is excellent and it's actually a really comfortable place to eat in terms of music and cleanliness. I'd honestly give this place a 3.5 rating, but my partner really didn't like the chicken tacos as they were rather plain and not particularly seasoned. The Tacos de Birras were decent, but I think the big thing is that I've had better. If a friend asked me to go here again, I would, but I don't think I would go of my own volition. Perhaps I'll give them another shot later as the service was quite good..

Every single person in the restaurant greeted us as soon as we walked in. Our server Nick was kind, professional, and personable. He recommended the boudin balls as an appetizer and we also ordered the deviled eggs, and both were phenomenal. I also had the Fig Fizz cocktail which had a great balanced, fresh flavor. I had the seared tuna special which was light and fresh with a flavorful pineapple salsa. The peach bread pudding was the real star of the show, it felt like a warm hug! Overall the food, service, and ambience were all 10/10. Meredith the owner checked on us and was very present, it is clear she puts a lot of care and effort into her business. We will definitely be returning!

But half way through she handed us over to the bartender, who just seemed inconvenienced that we were there. My husband had just finished a beer when she took over (which was in a can, not a tap beer), she asked if he wanted another, he said yes, and brought some draught beer that definitely wasn't what he was drinking. We are very easy going, so that wasn't even the end of the world. But she wasn't very friendly so we just went with it. The food. We ordered rockfish bites for an app, chicken pot pie, bacon wrapped shrimp & Mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out quickly. Rockfish bites: Not only were they bland & salt-less, but not all of them were cooked all the way through. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were ok, but cold in spots. The chicken pot pie: This is the reason I came. Certainly you can't mess this up, seeing how my favorite pot pie is from KFC. My standards aren't that high. I wish I could add a photo to a low review. I've never seen the inside of a pot pie that was dark gray. It didn't look appetizing at all, but it's a pot pie so I'm not basing anything on appearance. Once I took a bite I realized that it was gray because there was SO MUCH ground thyme in it. Like they dumped a whole jar in there. It wasn't even edible. The Mac & cheese was really good, I wish I had just ordered that. Before you reply that we should have said something, we already felt like we were an inconvenience to the bartender & she didn't even care enough to serve the same beer that was originally ordered. We didn't even want to deal with her. So we chalked it up as a loss. Of over $100. This place is so cute, we really loved the ambiance & wanted to love the food. We definitely won't be back, but I don't think it's going to be around much longer anyway.

A couple of them arrived a little dry, but the staff handled it well and replaced them right away without any hassle. I always appreciate when a restaurant responds quickly to an issue rather than making it a bigger problem. We also had the Crispy Calamari Fritz and the Pan Seared Salmon. My partner really enjoyed the calamari. The salmon was especially well prepared--crispy on the outside while still moist on the inside. The farro risotto was creamy and had very good flavor, and the asparagus worked well with the rest of the dish. Our food came out fairly quickly, service was friendly, and the way they handled the oysters left a good impression. Overall, Cypress is a solid local seafood restaurant and somewhere I'd be comfortable returning to.

We'd visited the previous restaurants in this spot and neither lasted so we were interested to see the changes. The restaurant itself is styled beautifully, not what you'd expect in a suburban shopping center. We opted for the Brussels and the short rib grilled cheese. Both were great. The Brussels were sliced, the balsamic glaze was really great. The short rib came on sourdough and I had low expectations: usually short rib on sandwiches (in my experience) is either dry or soaks through the bread, this sandwich was perfect! The short rib was really tender and flavorful, the bread was toasted but still soft. Perhaps the unsung hero of the meal were the fries and the malt vinegar aioli! The fries were incredible and the accompanying aioli was perfectly tangy, we couldn't stop eating them in spite of being full. Overall we were really pleased with our meal! We will be back to try more of the menu.

The area crab lovers like myself have been to Mike's, Cantlers and Harris' across the Bay Bridge but for some reason "The Point" had missed my radar. Luckily, there was an open bar pub table that just vacated so the crab Gods were working in our favor!! Lol :)) The pub tables are attached to the bar so you have to order from the bar.. No big deal for me but she didn't care for it.. Lol. I was amazed at how reasonable the prices were for XL Crabs and was wondering if they really were XL for $140 a dozen? I'm thrilled to report, these were the best crabs I've had in memory. Big, meaty and sweet.. Omg!!! We could not get over the amount of meat that were coming out of these things and they were delicious!!!! The Point has become my favorite dine in crab spot in just one visit. TLDR: Overpriced, tea just wasn't good…read more I tried this place around a year ago because it had amazing reviews, but my drink was so terrible that I couldn't finish it. It had an awful metallic taste, which I think came from the lychee jelly (lychee is not supposed to taste like that). I drink a ton of boba, and have never had something so bad I couldn't finish it before. I came back today to try it again, since the reviews of this place are continuously amazing, and mine is the only bad review. The toppings were the worst part. The tapioca pearls had firm and dry cores (I think it was maybe undercooked), which really brought the drink down. The jelly was not good, and I wouldn't even call it "jelly" personally. It was essentially sugar and flavor pellets with a processed and unpleasant tangy aftertaste. The tea wasn't great either. I sampled their jasmine tea since I really like jasmine, but I wasn't a fan, and I can make better with cheap grocery store tea. I tried their oolong tea, which was decent, but the flavor felt pretty diluted unfortunately. I also tried the Hokkaido tea, which was very sweet, and didn't taste quite like Hokkaido tea in my opinion. Normally I don't mind when boba is sweet, but I feel this place is pushing it too much. I ended up getting a little bit of the Hokkaido tea, and about 5x that amount of the oolong tea (which was fully unsweetened), and it was definitely sweet enough for me. There's a drink I sometimes get when I'm at college called "crème brûlée ube brown sugar milk tea with brown sugar boba". I personally prefer to call it "diabetes in a cup". I think the sweetness of that drink would be comparable to a full cup of the Hokkaido tea. Additionally, $8.46 is an absurd price to pay for this. I can get better boba for $6 down the street, or much better boba for $6-8 about 15 minutes away. If I want genuinely good boba, there's some shops in Rockville that I happily pay $8 a cup for, and they blow this place out of the water. This would be 3 star tea if it was $6. The staff member was nice, and the building itself was cute. The staff member recommended the Hokkaido tea with a pump of brown sugar syrup. This is why I tried the Hokkaido tea, but I didn't opt for the brown sugar pump since I'm not a huge fan of brown sugar boba (I prefer fruit tea and more eastern new-style tea). The "build your own tea" is a fine gimmick, but I don't want to pay $8 for it, especially when the toppings you can add are low quality. Additionally, some places have enough customization on their menu that you can essentially build your own tea anyways.
