Such a great local Mexican spot. They don't ever let down. The food is delicious and priced so reasonable. They have a different special everyday that comes with a can of soda, typically priced around $10.50.

This carry out place is still awesome. They do have a couple of picnic benches set up outside for when the weather is nice. The shrimp tacos are out of this world.

Despite how it looks from the outside, don't let that turn you away! For the price you pay, the portions are huge and not to mention the quality ingredients they use. The food was flavorful and everything we got was made to perfection !

El Pilar is my new go to for tacos and quesadillas. I get their shrimp tacos with everything (pico de gallo, cilantro, onions, avocado, chipotle sauce, lime) and it never disappoints. The prices are perfect and the food is consistently good. Find me on Instagram for more destination inspiration @wherezmay

It's a small place compared to a few of the larger places in our area, but that's just fine. This restaurant is worthy of your time! I was looking for something out of the norm and I was not disappointed! From the moment we walked in to lively to the wonderful aromas, we knew this was going to be a stellar experience! We were greeted promptly and told we could pick a table. We were promptly brought menus and asked for what drinks we wanted. I opted for a Tropical Pina Margarita and hubby got Sandia Chile Margarita. Came very quick and we liked them so much we got another. We could have stopped at the house made salsa that had a smoky flavor and didn't look like it was poured from a jar in the back. The chips were outstanding. We opted to get some queso dip and it was just as good! Better than any other place we have had it. For dinner, my hubby opted for the Cameron Tacos on corn tortillas as he is a celiac. He remarked that it was the first time that he had corn tacos that were *solid*-meaning the taco stayed in shape and didn't fall apart while eating. The slaw was crispy, not overpowering, the pico de gallo was spicy, but not in the burn your tongue sense. He also liked the accompanying black beans and rice. I had Michelin Tacos. The first bite of mine was a bacon wrapped shrimp in a flour taco with a very pleasing sauce. The second one I had was chicken and it was just amazing. Nice slices of chicken with a pretty spicy sauce. Since I'm a big fan of spicy, this was amazing! The last one was steak, and I mean a nice piece of steak! Very tender, not overcooked! I couldn't tell you my favorite, because they were all equally delicious. Jusn took very good care of us. Great evening and we will most certainly be back! To all of you that may like the *larger restaurants* on Ritchie Highway, please do yourself a favor and seek one of these stores out! We live closest to the Severna Park location, but all the stores seem to get good feedback! This is so out of the ordinary and definitely worthy of your time!

They handed me this thing off chips with salsa that was enough for five regular people or two Joshuas. The chips were good, fresh, slightly warm. The salsa was fantastic, though a little cilantro forward for someone who thinks it's soap. I ordered a chicken chimichanga for my main. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what came out qualifies as a chimichanga -- it wasn't deeply fried (or baked), and was covered with a cheese sauce like a smothered burrito. Maybe someone sent me the wrong thing? I don't bite. But, it was delicious. The sauce actually greatly complemented everything, and it was evenly seasoned. I'll definitely be back the next time I pass that way.

Free chips & salsa may be a gimmicky thing, but when they are good, they can really hook you. In spite of ruining my appetite with too many chips, I loved the variety on their menu. They have standard mexican fair but also have some very unique dishes and fresh takes. I can recommend the Michelin tacos, especially if you are looking for a variety. Service was quick and friendly. I resisted the urge to get more chips & salsa when offered (multiple times), but I wouldn't fault you if you opt for seconds. The restaurant itself is clean and is decorated in a fun manner for guests to play some eye spy or for kids to enjoy. There are also plenty of TVs to catch whatever games might be on. Enjoy!

This spot is officially my favorite Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is vibrant, yet feels genuine. It has that perfect buzz of a neighborhood favorite, and the staff is genuinely friendly, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The food is where this place truly shines. I decided to try the steak and guacamole and it was cooked perfectly, with full of flavor. While their entrees are amazing, their tortilla chips are the best I've had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous. The service was fast too! If you're new to the area, or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make Senor Chile your stop. It's authentic, delicious, and exactly the kind of local business that makes a community feel special. This will be one of our regular stops.
