The customer service was great so I really wanted to like this place but the shrimp in my shrimp taco was hard & badly burnt and the steak in my carne asada taco was overcooked. The desserts on display looked good & I may go back to try the flan or tres leches cakes, but the food is a no for me. read more

We were visiting a friend's family nearby so decided to see what restaurants are nearby. After looking at a reviews of few places we decided to visit this Mexican restaurant. We were quickly seated and served with the menu. The place was nicely and simply decorated with photos and descriptions about Mexican places and ingredients. Authentic Mexican were fairly new to my friends so the owner came over and began to explain the menu and answer our questions. He even gave us samples of aqua Fresca to try. We decided on chicken flautas, 3 types of tacos, shredded beef tostadas, aqua Fresca and the dessert that looks like a wheel made of churro-like dough.. The tacos I had reminded me of the ones I had in Mexico with double portion of meat, served with onions, cilantro, and salsas radishes on the side. The flautas were crunchy, full of ingredients and my friends loved it. Extras were packed to go! My favorite part are the Agua Fresca and the dessert. If I do come to those part of the town, would visit this place again. read more

The Food is really good. We ordered the sampler platter and the red posole. The posole was outstanding. The fried tortillas that came on the side tasted homemade. Took off a star because the service was terrible. We had to ask the waitress 3 times for water, our sodas. We finally flagged down the other waitress to wrap our door to go and that is when we finally got our waitress"s attention for the bill. read more

Amazing tacos 10/10 favorite place to buy tacos de al pastor and it has an amazing sauce on the side !

This place has the best Mexican food and the best customer service! The owner came to talk to each table. He is super friendly. We told him that we want one of each kind tacos. He came and talked to us to make sure we know how big is it. He also recommended that he can make the best 5 tacos for each of us. We have no idea about the drink, and they gave us a small sample to dry. The horchata drink tasty. Overall it's a good experience here. If you the around the area, you should give this place a try! read more

Fiesta Mexicana - 5 of the best tacos they have - according to the owner - Mexican Near Me - Rosedale, Maryland

Great tasting, authentic Mexican food served by friendly staff in a very casual environment. Try a sandwich (torta) - the bread is delicious. And save room for dessert - they are also delicious! read more

Awful experience. Low quality food and poor service. The food wast tasteless and soggy. The cocktails were full of syrup and no alcohol.

When you pull up to this place it may look a little sketchy from the outside but once you go in, you are greeted by the friendliest people you can think of. The menu had a lot of options but the owner was extremely helpful and taught my daughter how to say everything in Spanish. When the food came out, wow, the flavors were incredible. This was honestly the in the top 3 if not the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. If you like Mexican street style food and you're in this area. Go!!! The staff is amazing and the food is amazing. These people work hard and it shows. Thanks for an amazing meal and a fun time talking. read more

I LOVE Fiesta Mexicana!! I've been devouring their delicious food for about 13 years, since they were in a smaller location. They are delicious and the word has spread, so they outgrew their space. Their current location has plenty of seating. This is true, authentic Mexican food...it's amazing but just as a warning for anyone expecting Tex-max or Taco Bell. The food is made to order, so there's a little bit of a wait but you can see the women in the kitchen making your food. Seriously the best Mexican food in the state. read more

The food here was amazing and prepared with care. The staff is great and really helpful in understanding the menu items. We had fantastic service and a great exprience. Prices were beyond reasonable and the store looked clean. Bathroom was a bit of a disaster. Like no one had checked on the trash for paper towels so they were everywhere.... otherwise not awful. We had nachos (yum), chicken and beef tacos (yum). Tinga de Pollo was so so good. Chorizo and carnitas were outstanding. Tostadas were full of toppings and delicious. It was authentic food. No alcohol is served here. Definitely recommend! Food was so so good. read more

Great lunch. My daughter brought me here. She & her family have enjoyed it in the past. We met for lunch today - her choice of venue. Sure am glad she chose this place. I do not typically vote for Mexican restaurants. I would make this an exception all the time. We had the chips - El Nido which was a chorizo bean dip. Chips were unique - not the typical tortilla chip. The dip was good on its own but the chip was a nice vehicle for it. My daughter had Quesadillas. Kind of cool - not the normal flat or folded over quesadilla. These looked like large empanadas. You can choose the filling for your order. She loves them. I had the Pambazo - a very cool sandwich. I took half home (as normal) and look forward to heating that bad boy up tomorrow. Lots of goodies on the menu though I am already leaning toward the Pambazo on my next trip. I can't do that, can I? Well, I can. read more

Amazing!! This was definitely a gem!!! We stopped by this place in the afternoon time. It seems at the entrance that is a really small place, but at the end it really is a big location. It also has a Mexican store with plenty of souvenirs and my FAVORITE candies, it cannot get any better. I order the Pozole, it has pork and let me tell you IT'S FREAKING DELICIOUS. I cannot remember last time a dish brought me back to my good old times to Mexico and September (since is very common to eat this dish the whole month and for our independence Day) I wish the service was a little faster, maybe it was only our hangry self talking (but seriously, be patient; the food will be worth your while) read more

More than a good Mexican restaurant, this is a curated experience into the food and culture of CDMX. Frederico, the owner, does a phenomenal job of breaking down the menu, explaining what the food means to him, and giving outsiders a view of his culture. My mother, who "isn't a big fan of Mexican food," very much enjoyed the flavors and lessons from a region she had never explored. They were very accommodating for our party of nine and the place was super clean. Every plate felt like it was made with love and the freshest of ingredients. You can literally watch them working to prepare everything from scratch. We ordered guacamole, el nido, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, tacos, enchiladas, enfrijoladas, aguas frescas, and sides... I genuinely can't say there isn't anything I don't recommend. There were no leftovers and we had to ask for multiple bottles of the homemade salsa verde and salsa de habanero. Truly a wonderful experience and definitely worth the drive from Baltimore to Rosedale. Can't wait to go back. read more

Great food! Almost everything I've gotten there has been really good...just don't go expecting American Mexican food.

Owner was very friendly and brought over multiple free appetizers for us to try. the food was very good and reasonably priced

This little place ... in an easily overlooked little strip center ... served up one the best authentic Mexican meals I've ever had. If you live anywhere near Baltimore, go! It is worth the effort, and I don't say that lightly. Added bonus: Frederico, the owner, is a character worth meeting. read more

Was craving authentic Mexican food...looked up places near me and found it on Yelp. I totally get why people have driven from DC to find this gem. It's only 15 minutes from my home...we are trying to figure out how to go back for lunch tomorrow without looking like stalkers. lol The Enfrijoladas were amazing. every bite was perfect...the onions and cilantro...dear lord...so good. We had to try the Pambazo that everyone was writing about. (That is what we want to go back for again. tomorrow!) How...how do they make it so yummy?! We also had horchatas and mango con chamoy...food coma...but so worth it. We are spoiled now. Nothing else will be better, I am sure of it. read more

Now my go-to place for Mexican food. I've had a few items here, some better than others. The fried quesadillas are very good, but it's something I'd rather share because they are so heavy. The tacos are pretty good, but they tend to overlook the carne asada. The salsa that comes with it is very delicious, albeit spicy. My favorites are the tostados and rice and beans. The tostados are huge and very filling. The rice and beans are soooo good. The beans have a tremendous amount of flavor. I do, however, think the rice and beans are overpriced at $7. Also a good part of my rice was overcooked. The tres leches is also very good, but my slice was frozen solid so I had to wait hours for it to thaw. The wait was torture, but worth it. This restaurant isn't always super consistent, but the flavors are amazing and can't be beat. read more

Really good! The eat-in part of the restaurant runs really well when the owner is there but is sometimes disorganized when he's not. BYOB!!!

Not my cup of tea. Server was unfriendly and upset if you asked for anything (side of sour cream or queso or a drink) and the food took like 40 minutes. I don't think we were their typical clientele, so we didn't feel very welcomed. Nothing was "American Style" Mexican food, so if that's what you're expecting... you won't get it here. The Quesadilla was more like an Empanada than it was an American Style Quesadilla... it's like an Empanada or Calzone or Hot Pocket. The chicken was bland/flavorless/unseasoned, it was literally boiled and shredded with no spices or seasoning. If you choose to come here, do yourself a favor and order either the steak or spicy chicken so you'll have some flavor. The nachos says queso, meat of choice, and crema fresco (sour cream)... when they say queso, they mean crumbled cheese like cojita cheese, not liquid queso like you might be expecting. The pros... they give good portion sizes on my favorite things (sour cream and cheese)... maybe they're more authentic Mexican than most places you'll find (if that's what you're looking for), they also have a decent selection of drinks. The cons... the food was not very good, the service was slow and unpleasant, they don't have Elote on the menu, and I didn't see any Tres Leches cake there either. There are tons of great reviews to go by too... but this was my experience and I won't be back. read more

Visiting from New Jersey we came across this little hidden gem and I am so glad we did. We ordered guacamole and chips with their salsa and it was incredible. You can taste how fresh the guacamole and the salsa had a wonderful bite and kick to it. I ordered the chorizo con papa quesadillas and they gave me three crispy quesadillas that was packed with their chorizo and it was so aromatic and tasted wonderful! I can not begin to describe how fresh the food was and how unbelievably reasonable everything is priced with large portions! I definitely recommend getting all your Mexican food cravings from here. It's truly a wonderful establishment with friendly staff and a really friendly owner who even came by and sat near us for a bit. Birthday dinners are a tradition in our household. The person celebrating chooses a food destination for their celebration meal. Yesterday was my son's birthday. After a long ride back from a friends destination wedding in NC, he didn't want to go out, he wanted take out. He wanted Mexican. He thought about places close to home; there are at least three decent joints within 5 miles of home. He chose Rosedale's Fiesta Mexicana, about a 20 minute ride. It's been awhile since we enjoyed this place and Frederico's excellent offerings. And, we haven't enjoyed as a family, so, why not? And, he agreed to call in the order and pick it up! Between the Tacos, Tortas, Enchiladas, chips and guac, we were amazed. And, since there are gluten and dairy sensitivities, all was good as everything was prepared to order. I was stunned my my Huevos con Chorizo Torta. Egg and chorizo blended together and piled on a sub roll with tomato, avocado and sliced (jalapeno) pepper. A blast of flavor. I shared my chicken enchiladas with spicy verde sauce with my wife and son; the former is now a believer in Frederico's cooking. The latter? He's believed all along. And now, our daughter is a fan. Yes, there was a Fiesta Mexicana in our home last night. This little place is big on some of the best AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine in town. I'm glad birthday boy wanted food from this place. This meal served as a reminder of how great the food is and why we need to support mom and pop outfits like Fiesta Mexicana. With tip, the bill for this fiesta was just over $80. Yes, please tip on pick up orders. Highly recommend. read more

Anytime to get to interact with the owner of a restaurant it makes for a unique experience. At Fiesta Mexican it made for a treat like none other! He graciously sat us and then explained the whole menu and made recommendations for each member of our family. We have some very adventurous eaters and others that prefer the familiar. Just listening to him talk you could tell the passion and enthusiasm that he puts into his food. Every dish he wanted to be top notch! The food was bursting with flavor and then adding their green and red sauces to it just made the flavors explode all the more. Their quesadillas were excellently prepared and their tacos were an experience unto themselves. I have a hard time believing there is anything on the menu that isn't prepared with the same love. Do yourself a favor and stop in. I only wish we didn't live so far away or we would be regulars! read more

WOW! Fiesta Mexicana nailed it. If you want authentic Mexican food, made with love than look no further. I am a sucker for a hole in the wall, because 9/10, the food is bussin'. We ordered the nachos with shredded beef and let me tell you, AMAZING. We also ordered tacos, which were very authentic and had so much flavor. My favorite was the spicy chicken taco. The owner greeted each table and made sure to tell us the food was good because of him, which I loved !! Everything came out quick and was reasonably priced. Don't miss out on this one! read more

Great food, good service! Done expect much in ambiance, it's loud, it's small and it's delicious!

I visited here for the first time about two weeks ago. There is a guy who works there that is very knowledgeable about the food/drink items. He seems very excited about what the restaurant has to offer as far as authenticity. I assume that he is the owner. The service was fine. I like that you can order half portion sizes. I ordered a taco and a enchilada. I don't remember if the taco was chicken or beef but it was sort of basic and bland. I wouldn't order it again. The enchilada or the other hand was so tasty. I loved the sauce and that it had a little kick to it. I would definitely order that dish again. I enjoyed the taste of the coffee as well. read more

Ok. I've lived in Mexico. I lived in California for 30 years. I'm a gringo, but I know Mexican food pretty well. Frederico's place is the real deal. I just ate a plate of enchiladas with green sauce that blew my mind. No, it's not chicken rolled up in a factory tortilla, smothered in cheese and baked in the oven. It's not Tex-Mex. (Which can be yummy but is nothing like Southern Mexican food). It's house-made tortillas that have been bathed in green chile sauce (enchilada) then folded over some high quality fresh- cooked chicken, then topped with sublime green chile sauce, queso fresco, crema, cilantro and raw onion. My vegetarian daughter ate sopes with refried black beans and mushrooms and was delighted. If you know Mexican food--get to this place. If you want to learn about it, get to this place. So very happy. read more
