First time being here and the staff was really nice. I tired the el pastor and really liked it. The flavors were perfect. It was the best thing i order. I also tried the carne asada which I didn't like at all. It had two many connective tissue which made it really chewy and tough. I took one bite and ended up spitting it out. Th birra tacos were just ok. There is a good amount of meat but the meat lacked flavor and was overly spicy. The sauce also was super thin and had an off putting taste like it was made with canned tomatoes.

Tacos de carnitas y de chorizo.

This rating is more like a 3.5 to be honest. I got some tacos and I thought they were pretty good. The carnitas were a bit dry but the flavor was still there. Also their online ordering system isn't really, the best, so I had to walk in and order in person and the cashier was super nice and super helpful. I genuinely think my issue was with the price of the taco. Each taco which is essentially a street taco was about 4.50, and I spent pretty much 18 dollars for 4 tacos which just feels like too much for what it was, and because the carnitas was a little dry I really couldn't justify the price the for the food. But I'm certainly willing to explore the menu a bit more because like I said, the online options don't pale in comparison to what they actually offer! They have plenty of specials like birria ramen and actual taco specials as well but for what I got, I was paying platter price for a la carte and I'm just a little fussy about it!

Wanted to try this place for awhile now and it was wonderful! Our server was very attentive and the food came out quickly. Food was pretty good we both got the chicken fajitas which were great portions! Would love to see this place get more love :) *photos were taken after eating a little bit *

This place is newly opened, and my wife really wanted to try it. We came in and we're greeted by the staff who is super friendly. The food was delicious. My wife and I both got the Carne Asada and it did not disappoint. The chips and salsa were amazing. I felt the price is very reasonable for what you received. The chips were so amazing that I accidentally filled up on chips, lol. I only was able to eat half my burrito. Lol. That just means that I get to enjoy the restaurant again when I get home later. My wife stated " I think I know where I want to come for my birthday" which saved me a whole lotta thinking. Lol. The atmosphere is very comfortable . Will do doubt be back soon.

TLDR: A Dundalk institution closes its doors, but the flavors and memories will stick with me…read moreforever. It's truly the end of an era for Herman's Bakery. My family and I have been coming here since the 80s, and hearing that they're closing at the end of March 2026 hit hard. The owners are retiring in their 70s, with no one to carry on the tradition, and you can really feel how much this place meant to the community. Herman's has always been a staple for us, especially for their strawberry shortcakes and marshmallow donuts. Those were must-haves growing up, along with their fresh rye bread and the fudge topped shortbread cookies that somehow made every holiday and birthday feel a little more special. I made one last trip about a week before closing, getting there at 7:30am on a Friday, and the line was already out the door. No surprise there. Everyone in Dundalk seemed to have the same idea. Honestly, I didn't mind the wait at all knowing this would be the last time walking through those doors. They were limiting items due to demand, but I was still able to grab two slices of strawberry shortcake, two marshmallow donuts, and a pound of those fudge shortbread cookies. And just like always, everything tasted exactly how I remembered. No drop off, no shortcuts, just consistently great baked goods to the very end. It's rare to find a place that stays this consistent for decades, and even rarer for it to be such a big part of so many people's lives. Dundalk won't be the same without Herman's, but I'm grateful for all the years and memories. Wishing the owners a well deserved and happy retirement.

Besides the renovations, it did have an old building odor, which if you're new (like me) it's very off putting. The desserts were nice looking and rich, I got a slice rather slither of carrot and double chocolate cake, both for a total $8. I'll say if you like strawberry shortcake this is the place for you because they had a bunch of those lol. They had a case for italian cookies and other pastries like donut and danishes.

To be honest the tamago sando was a solid sandwich and maybe i should have toasted it but i was getting it to go to bring while traveling... was nothing mindblowing. however, the guava croissant was AMAZING. the lamination, the texture, that wonderful crunch and fresh guava taste with balanced sweetness brightened up the gloomy day! I happily ate it quite quickly in one sitting after the sando despite how big it was. When I got back to atlanta i tried the chausson aux champignon a bit without it toasted and also toasted and it was TOO GOOD both ways! i enjoyed the mushrooms as they brought soo much good umami goodness to my tastebuds along with the mushroom aioli served with it! I really want to visit baltimore if only for a layover again so i can pickup more delightful pastries! I tried their seasonal brown sugar hojicha coffee latte and that was great as well! and oopsies i forgot to take a picture of the chausson aux champignon but it looks like a turover! although there was a line, i had a lovely conversation with a few nice people in front of me so the wait wasn't bad at all!

What a beautiful bakery!…read more Overbird Bakery in Baltimore's Little Italy is baking artisan, European-style sourdough breads and pastries that uses spices and flavors from Turkey as well as the Mediterranean. When I walked in the other day, the baked goods on display made my jaw drop. I would have loved to stay and enjoy my breakfast but I had to get back home so grab and go is my only option. First time here, I'm going to start with a croissant and a special latte they were promoting. The croissant comes to me, warm and fresh in the bag. Ovenbird Bakery makes a great croissant, very buttery and flakey. I'm just passing thru, I'm glad I discovered this great bakery in Baltimore.

I got their vegan sandwich option, the veggie sandwich (hummus, spouts, tomato, avocado, etc), which was fantastic. The side of bagel chips was well worth the extra dollar or two, and overall the prices were quite reasonable ($10 for my sandwich--and it was not a small sandwich!) There was a long line, but we were able to find a table relatively quickly. The vegan cinnamon roll was unfortunately out by the time I arrived, but I would love to have tried that (their other pastries looked incredible). For coffee, I got the coldbrew, which was delicious with a bit of oatmilk. The high ceilings make it feel larger than it is, and the bright patterns add so much personality to what would otherwise be a rather austere industrial space. Recommended for both vibe and food :)
