I usually don't leave bad reviews but this one was for the books! My girlfriend and I came here last night to have a bit to eat and catch up. We arrived in the evening time and noticed the restaurant was rather empty, and we were seated right away. We received chips and salsa and water as a standard serve as soon as we sat down. Our server came about 5 minutes later. We asked about the specials for happy hour, and she explained it but never introduced herself and we never got her name. She was rather abrupt and when I asked about specific things like specials and whether or not they had mocktails, since I wasn't drinking that night, she said no. I was taken aback. She never smiled or offered any suggestions. It was as if we were in the wrong place. I had a feeling that we should leave and I should've went with that hunch. My friend and I continued our conversation since we were catching up and she came back by a few times and my friend ordered guacamole for an appetizer. We tried it but it wasn't fresh. Neither were the chips with salsa. We flagged the server down and finally we told her that we were ready to order. We ordered the Happy Hour special, 2 fajitas with steak and chicken. The food came out about 15 minutes later, no problem. We bless the food and start eating. Some time passes, and we see everyone but our server. She never came back to check on us, she came back to refill our drinks, she never came back to see if we were enjoying our food and I had to ask 2 other servers if we could have napkins and refill. At this point my friend and I have noticed that the night seemed off. We didn't receive the warm welcome that a normal restaurant experience should have. My friend requests to see the manager and he comes to the table. She explains that her guacamole wasn't to her liking. The guacamole wasn't fresh and it tasted like it was store bought. He blatantly tells her NO, that he will not take it off her bill and she explains that she wasn't happy but he shrugged his shoulders and walks away. At this point we decided that it was time to leave. We had to ask for to-go boxes and bags and napkins several times before requesting the check. It was clear that our satisfaction was not a priority that night and for that we will not return. We both noticed that the bathroom was unkempt and had a slight odor. Needless to say no tip was deserved so it wasn't left, so we paid our bill and left.  If I could give -5 stars then that would be the rating. This experience was the pitts. Trifling and piss poor service! It was clear that we were not welcome at that establishment. The actions of the server said it all! Completely unacceptable and I do believe that it was a stereotypical experience because we were black. read more

Steer clear of this restaurant. I usually don't try new places without checking yelp first. Against my better judgement I went on the recommendation of a friend. Food was not seasoned. Service was okay I guess. I seen a least two mice as I was paying my bill. The server saw the last mouse and tried to play it off. I am certain most restaurants have mice. This was something more severe, for them to be running around the dining area @ 3pm you're clearly dealing with an infestation. read more

What can you say, Food was bland the ribeye was the worst I have had in years. And the Shrimp Diablo was hit but not flavorful. The second dish was the person with us who went with a combo plate. Which ended up having him miss his flight due to food poisoning the next morning. which kept him in the bathroom all night!! Steak was so thin Not sure how they can justify the price. Rice had no flavor. While we were eating a mouse went scurrying across the floor !! read more

Love this place! I've been here a few times, once with the office and twice with one other person at the bar, and they have always been friendly and welcoming. They are very generous with their tequila shots, and I can tell you it's not easy going back to work when you're having such a good time! This past trip I had the Asada enchiladas and it really hit the spot, with the cheesy enchiladas pairing with the steak. Always get a margarita, they go from a small size to a jumbo in one of those hilariously large glasses, but it's always good. read more

As a first timer I was thoroughly impressed! The service is outstanding. Before we had fully sat down a server was on the way with complimentary chips and salsa (the salsa was very good, as a spicy eater I enjoyed that it had some heat to it). The food was also very good, notably the queso gringo which has large pickled jalapeños added in, and the sizzling enchiladas were outstanding. The chicken quesadilla was enormous! We also enjoyed the fajitas as they weren't dripping in grease. The house margarita was nice and strong. However, the star of the evening were the churros, absolutely delicious. I found the bar to be lively and enjoyed the decorations. They do have great happy hour specials and it's advertised Monday-Thursday from 5-8pm. We will certainly be back! read more

I am always up for good Mexican - TexMex foods and drinks. I was told about Jose Tequilas in Owings Mills. From the front door to the back door, the decor is Mexican inspired. The staff was great. Bar staff, the most attentive I have ever seen regardless of crowd size. I ordered ground beef tacos and their top shelf Margarita. Let's start with the Margarita. It was well balanced and I could feel it down in my toes. The tacos looked plain but once they brought me a side of Pico de gallo and sour cream, it was a party. Good flavor and Pico was the perfect topping to tie the dish togther. The refried beans and rice were the perfect compliment to the dish. Happy hour seems like a good time to go. I believe they have daily specials. I look forward to my next vist. read more

Food has no taste. Not even worth taking pics. I ended up taking mine to go and once home seasoned it myself. No napkins until asked and were skimpy with what they gave a party of 8. Food and drinks came quickly We all agreed food literally tasteless. Most flavorful item was the kids meal fries. 2 stars for ambience and parking. Should have stayed in parking lot. read more

No one in our party liked their food. My mom ordered a spicy beef dish and it came out not spicy what so ever, lukewarm, and no flavor. I ordered a beverage w my meal. My meal came but 30 min later no beverage. I asked again and 10 min later still no beverage. I asked a third time another 10-15 minutes passed and still no beverage. Another person in our party was missing the beans that were suppose to come w their meal. After 30 min of waiting no beans. An hour later still no bean beans. I would never come back. read more

The food is always a hit !! The customer service is top tier and it never takes long for your food to come out even on busy days!

Food here is absolutely horrendous. They call it an authentic Mexican restaurant but it really isn't. I've been here at least 3 times and the food never tastes the same. I saw a couple rats running around the building, I told some of the servers about what I had just seen and they looked at me crazy! like they were mad at the fact I brought it up. I also overheard the general manager speaking to one of his employees in a very rude way. It was the hostess, she looks no older than 16, No way In hell!! would I ever let my child get spoken to in such a way. It was very disrespectful and poor girl didn't say a word! Whoever that manager is, I hope he gets his act right. I asked my server what the name of the manager was and his name was Cesar. If you're seeing this, I hope you mature and get your act right. Food and service overall was terrible and seeing the manager act that way towards a minor is insane. If he acts that way towards a helpless little girl I wonder how he treats the rest of his employees. Won't be coming back. Ever. read more

This used to be our favorite spot. We ordered here almost every weekend. Then they changed the menu. Yesterday we ordered online and when we went to pick it up, it was not ready. We waited for like an additional half an hour. It was not even busy in there so not sure why on earth it took so long. The Chunky guy at the front had an attitude and rolled his eyes just when I asked about the order. Today I got food poisoning. Never eating there again. read more

This is my second time visiting this restaurant and it was just ok. The restaurant is close to home & provided a quick area for date night. The waitress frequently checked on us. The salmon quesadilla was very soft and didn't provide enough cheese for me. The side rice and vegetables were very bland with absolutely no seasoning. The guacamole was pretty good with plenty of tortilla chips. The Mexican corn was just ok. The corn was a little hard for me. The food sangria margarita was really good. Well, I will reluctantly return if needed. read more

Ordered pickup. Hostess was too busy talking with her friends and forgot I was waiting (seated directly in front of her...) while my food sat there ready for over 20 minutes. (I could see the bags). When asked to speak to a manager, she told "not here today". Horrible customer service. read more

First time here. The place is a popular spot. It was busy for a late afternoon. The interior decoration was cool. The cabinet with the tequila bottles was my favorite. The margaritas are the best reason to come here. They have flavors that many other local Mexican restaurants don't have. When talking about the food, I need to try more food to accurately review it. read more

I actually really enjoyed myself at this place. We don't do Mexican much but im glad we did it here when we did. The staff was cool. We started outside but being born and raised in the city didn't allow me to handle the bug situation. They moved us inside no problem. Is it fancy, no. Is it good, yup. Queso was delicious. The chips kept coming and the food was piping hot. I'm not hard to please. We will be back. read more

I went here over the weekend with my husband, sister in law, daughter and niece. My husband wanted to build a quesadilla and add shrimp, they told him he couldn't do that and gave a recommendation (he told her specifically what he wanted in his meal and he said no beans) they bring him a burrito with the beans in it. He tasted it and didn't like it . We asked the waitress to correct this and she stated there was nothing she could do. We asked for the check and the manager. The manager came and stated the meal would take like 40 mins to prepare and when we said we could wait he changed his mind said he could do it and don't like what we did (mind u my husband took like 2 bites. We stated we spent our money here and inquired why our food couldn't be corrected and he rudely stated this a family business and he spent his money here too . He did refund the money but he did it very rudely! Upon leaving we realized we didn't get all our food that we did pay for! I would not recommend going to this establishment and I would never visit again read more

Nice place. Always busy, but we never got turned away, except on Cinco de Mayo. Good food, competent wait staff.

First we order Cokes, get Pepsi. He replaced it with a coke. Ordered the Hot Tamales. I double checked the menu because I don't eat quac or sour cream-came out with both. He took it back. ten minutes later it is back out. My husband has finished. They bring me my meal-the rice was little hard grains as I am sure they microwaved it with my new tamales and the tamales were chicken and not pork as stated on the menu. I didn't return it. Didn't ask for a discount. Felt my waiter didn't care that it was so awful.. I was embarrassed because I know I was being a pain but when you pay 25.00 for a meal...you deserve for it to be decent at least. It was a bust. Been going for years but this was a real deal breaker. read more

Welp, my thoughts of this place isn't what my peers have stated so I'll save the narrative and pro/ con this thang. Pros Ample parking, accessible location right off beltway, extensive food/ beverage menu, kind staff (especially Delmis). Great Tijuana Chicken Wings. Well seasoned and flavorful. Fantastic drinks, I got the Bahama Mama. Cons So much on menu that nothing is perfected re: food. Food temperature ranged from luke warm to luke warmer. Charge for every little thing (Beans and Rice)... that's standard at most places. Anndddd I ordered the $4 Beans and Rice that never made it to table. Ordered Camaron (Shrimp Tacos) and Pollo Azado. No and nah. Their mexican food isn't pretty, flavorful or fulfilling. My Shrimp Tacos had the smallest shrimp ever viewed! There was space in my little tortilla that wanted more added but there was none. Lastly, the air conditioner was not fully functioning. It was 3K folks in there and 90° out. Since I have so many friends and family that enjoy this establishment, I'd return for Wings and a Beverage only. read more

This establishment has definitely grown on me. The staff is very personable. I honestly have always only had the best service in the bar area. Times when I have sat at a table I have experienced inattentiveness and negative energy overall from the wait staff in a consistent basis. Reuben and Jessica are my faves at the bar. They deliver excellent customer service and are always attentive to customers needs. They know how to multitask and have recommended excellent dishes for me to try and review. The manager who I believe name is Frederick is very kind, personable and hospitable. The only thing on the menu I tried and didn't particularly care for were the barria tacos. Yuk! Maybe it's because I've had way better. It looked nothing like the advertisement and tasted horrible. Took one bite and sent it back. Otherwise everything else I've had was excellent. Please take a look at the pics. Oh and let me add I have no idea why the bathroom has this funny sewer water-like smell because it's always clean but for sensitive noses it may bother you. A Lysol or glade spray attachment that squirts every few minutes may help a great deal. Overall I love this spot! They just need to get the seated section deliver in order and they could possibly get 5 stars read more

This was my first time coming here since they took over this spot and I am very glad with my first visit. Halfway through dinner I knew this would not be my only time coming here. There was a little of a wait to be seated but not too long. After being seated, menus was brought to the table immediately and within a couple minutes the waitress was there to take any drink orders. Before I get into what I ordered, I want to say the inside in a very comfortable and relaxed environment. Besides the loud crowd that was there at the time, it was a very nice setting. There's a plethora of items to order off the menu. I had to look through the menu a couple times before I made my choice. I like a variety of food! Chips, salsa and a special sauce was brought to the table. Both sauces have a little kick to it but it is still enjoyable. Not sure exactly what the special white sauce is but I know it wasn't queso. Started off with the shrimp and crab dip. It is packed with crab meat and a very nice sized shrimp though out. These weren't the mini shrimp you may find in other soups or dips. The shrimp covered the chip almost. Entree I had the shrimp, chorizo and bacon tacos (3). Packed with flavor in each bite. Comes with some dipping sauces as well. They give you a generous amount of food. Definitely took some home. Drink of choice was the pomegranate margarita. Thumbs up! Very good Mexican food. Planning my next visit real soon! read more
