Excellent quality food! The tacos were $3.50 each and came in an order of two each---we ordered two beef and two bean, and they were incredibly fresh, tasty, filling, and satisfying. We ate these at home so added our own sour cream and hot sauce. There was still Halloween decor inside (it's December, bring out the Santa!), the service was pleasant, the interior looked clean, and outdoor signage was well maintained. I ordered the mile high nachos with beans, no meat and paid online for pickup. It was ready when I go there. The staff were pleasant during pickup. Easy, peasy! The ambiance was casual and laid back, perfect for a stop in to enjoy your food. The mile high nachos were good: loaded with chips, sauce and cheese and nicely toasted, just how I like it! I've been eating at Nino Taco for years. I enjoy their food. It's definitely a step up from a Taco Bell. The customer service is usually good for dine in or take out. What I love is the Taco Salad, the Mexican Pizza, and the Burrito Platter. It gives more of a Tex Mex feel, but it's tasty. Now, Nino Taco isn't fine Mexican dining but it's good for my needs and that of the community as they have loyal customers that have be patronizing them for years. In case you are wondering why a 3 star rating? Well, one thing I don't like is that they don't use gloves when preparing the food, especially when serving up the chips they just grab them with their bare hands. Now, there is a sink that they do a quick hand wash in, but Covid has made me more aware of germs and this makes me uncomfortable enough to not get the chips because of the direct contact of flesh to chips. I love their food and hadn't been in a while so I decided to stop in for lunch. I called my order in and they said it would be 15-20 minutes. When I got there it was hot and ready to go. The service is always good and they are very friendly. If you're expecting the authentic, this is your place but their doin on it is very good. Came here as a last minute option due to it being packed everywhere else on cinco de mayo. When we walked in we were a little taken a back by the staff. The staff marches to the beat of their own drum. Although the server tried her best to help us, the food was just not good at all. The ground beef is almost like minced meat, and the tacos are the same as the tacos that you buy in the grocery store ( 10 pack that comes with the sauce And the seasoning). Ordered delivery from here because I wanted Mexican food on a Tuesday. Looked at the tacos but ended up deciding on a burrito platter. It came with a beef burrito, nachos, and Mexican rice. I used door dash so it was kind of expensive. My food was still hot when it arrived. I enjoyed it. The burrito has a good flavor. I opted for the mild salsa with it and some sour cream. But I'm so happy to see it's still around, with the same good food and good vibes. Its clean and service is quick. I see so many "food critics" on here acting disappointed with TexMex and I'm just confused why they are leaving a review at all! I've never been so proud to get the runs than when I ate here. The Mexican pizza was so greasy and cheesy that I knew i would be punishing the porcelain gods later with my prickled rosebud but sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze. At one particular point during my mile high nacho binge, which was exceptional, (Also a lot of bang for your buck) I tried to force out a silent one but it sounded like two ducks fighting over a piece of wonder bread. DO NOT judge a book buy it's cover. Yes the windows could use an extra scrub. Yes the cups that they use are not glass or plastic, but Styrofoam. Yes the plates that the food is served on is plastic. At the end of the day, there food is just one step above tacobell. I got the three tacos and rice. It also came with chips and cheese. My favorite part was the ships and cheese. Everything came together nice and tight. The soda did not taste like rank (that's what the inside of a soda machine taste like) it tasted like it came straight from the bottle. Thought I learned my lesson when I was in grade school, but I didn't. If you happened to see this place, don't let the outside fool you. Ninos is an area staple and has been for quite some time (different locations). It's nostalgic, good TexMex. They're usually understaffed and everything you eat with/off of is disposable so temper your expectations. The food makes up for it and it's a must-visit every time I'm back in town. The ambiance of this place is a lot like the old on on Washington Blvd and a lot nicer than the original Randallstown location. The food is exactly the same, thank goodness! I've always got the best service at the bar and wouldn't recommend going here close to closing time (short staffed and usually hurried service). Now to the food! Seriously it's amazing. I guess if you're expecting authentic cuisine or other establishments presentations of popular dishes you may be disappointed...Ninos does things their own way and it works. I haven't had them in a while but the burritos used to come open face and baked. The Mexican pizza is more like a pizza-like open quesadilla. Some of their fried appetizer options are just typical run-of-the-mill things you can get at most places. Where Ninos really shines is with their nachos and tostada. Firstly, everything is fried in house (nacho chips, tortilla bowls, churros, all of it) and it makes a difference. The nachos are piled high and slathered in a gooey mess of nacho cheese (we think they put crack in it), sauce, and a protein or not; it's huge so I suggest starting with the 3/4 size before going all-in. The tostada has similar ingredients and a different presentation...two flour tortillas are fried flat and sandwiched together beef before being covered with cheese, sauce, and sour cream. It's devine. You can't miss with their tacos either and a taco platter is the perfect serving of tacos, chips and cheese, and beans. Their salads can get intense, salad sounds healthy but I don't think these count....delicious, not healthy. I recommend getting a side of sour cream with pretty much everything on their menu because it just works oh so perfectly. Grab an order of churros for desert if you have room, just be advised your soda will taste a bit less sweet after eating them. read more

Once upon a time this place was excellent. I went here a lot when they were in Randallstown. I lived across the street at the purple house and mile-highs were like $5 back then and delicious! I moved out of state and every time I visited, Nino Taco was usually my first go to place for food, but unfortunately it seems it got worse and worse every time. I wish they could bring back the old Nino Taco, but I'm sure they had to cut costs overtime with rent inflation from Randallstown to Owings Mills. Nino Taco was a neighborhood institution for years in Randallstown before moving to Arbutus then again to Owings Mills. They have a loyal following and I can understand why. The portions are enormous and prices are reasonable. Food is very good, especially the Mexican Pizza (which we always order as an appetizer to share, even though it's listed as an entree) and the Meat Sombrero. Note: the beef here is standard ground beef taco meat, no fancy carne asada or barbacoa style. Atmosphere is seat-yourself casual and food is served on paper/styrofoam plates. My kids love this place, and I like it very much but it's not on my top 3 list of favorite Mexican restaurants. I still eat there fairly often, though. read more

Floors were disgusting as they were stickier even than a movie theatre. I don't think they ever use a mop to cleanup. Hands down the WORST food I have EVER HAD! I actually was debating on vomitting after I ate the chicken fajita burrito I bought. I don't know what part of the chicken I ate. It was the only burrito I have ever had that had mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar or pepperjack. The green peppers were not cooked and the onions were either pickled or gone bad, but definitely not fried as listed in the menu. The sauce tasted like a can of tomato sauce with absolutely no spices added. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I ate a bag of popcorn after to stabilize my stomach. I agree with everyone who said Taco Bell is WAY better than this restaurant. I have a cast iron stomach according to my friends and even I was tested to the max eating here. Niño niño niño. I like this place, but I just don't "like like" this place. I'm not slipping it a wadded up note in class to check yes or no. I always leave stuffed. And I always like the way my food tastes. So what's wrong? It feels like someone just made me an old El Paso dinner kit with some ground beef they got at the grocery store and slapped it on a precariously bulging styrofoam plate. The nachos and cheese are from the big tub of yellow melty cheese that is probably one molecule away from plastic. Not saying I don't eat every last drop and come back for more though! Just saying it's nothing special. They do seem to add some Italian seasoning to their dishes, and sometimes that's an interesting twist. The waiter is nice and friendly. Terrible. Everything is made using ingredients from bulk cans of low-grade food supplied by Sysco. I recognize the pizza sauce cans from my college days. Refried beans, nacho "cheese" sauce, jalapeños, tomato sauce, etc. all from bargain basement industrial food cans. I moved here from Texas, so I needed a to-go place to add to our rotation. We placed an order to go. The staff wasn't very friendly, but that's ok. I am picking it up. I thought this was an authentic Mexican place, but it is not. So you will get the traditional American tacos. The food was ok, the chips and salsa was pretty good. I will say they have good prices on just about everything on their menu. But like one reviewer said below, the stuff they serve you is processed and from cans/jars. I can make this at home.
