This was our first time here and the customer service was ok. The guy was new so I can't be mad at that. The food was pretty good but not amazing. The only thing I can say that I enjoyed on this table was the birria quesadillas. Come here for those! Our chips were on the brown side, I don't know if that was how they serve it but was not a fan. Even their guacamole needed some flavor. We order food together and when 3 out of 4 orders came out they said they were out of what my daughter ordered and that was upsetting. Overall experience was not the best here. But I still feel like people like this place. We went during lunch time and it looked like other people enjoyed their meals and their Uber pick up was busy too. I don't want to let my experience stop you from coming here because I think ours was a flop. If you are in Baltimore and you don't know where to go for lunch? Pricing is decent here and this was an easy pick for us since we did not know the area well.

The space is very unpretentious and the menu has something for everyone. Service was efficient, food came out quick and our server did not hover but checked in on us the right number of times. The guacamole was a bit under salted and not all of the avocados used were quite ripe, leaving it less flavorful and paler in color, but still tasty. The chips were great, the Cali-cali burrito was good. I did not care for the chicken empanadas but my friend did. I'd definitely come back here again, the menu is large and everything was reasonably priced and plated with care.

Delicious, authentic, efficient service, and fantastic tacos. Sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather with tacos and a Coke was the best way to start spring! We had a mix of six different tacos, and they were all great - carne asada, al pastor, and ground beef (gringo tacos!). The prices can't be beat. Highly recommend this spot for a quick bite, you won't be disappointed.

What a lucky find! I was crunched for time and wanted to try crave nearby. So I found a place for dinner nearby and found this treasure. Ok, there is nothing fancy about plating, but the taste is all there. Jose was our server and understood the assignment. Everything came out quickly. The salsa had 3 options and the deep red one was my favorite and the green salsa came a close 2nd. My favorite dish I tried was the nachos, I got the loaded version fajita style for the table. I know we were hungry, but it fels like some of the best nachos I've had in a very.long time! I think it's a solid 4-5 and the fact that I would come back next week speaks volumes. I tried an item that I saw on the Togo menu online, Bae was a fan where I was mid, not sold on it. Blackened chicken quesadilla. We sat upstairs which had smaller tables than downstairs, do keep that in mind as your eyes decide to keep ordering and need a place for it to go. Fair warning. It didn't take us long to find parking, but I would say it's something to keep in mind. In general it's like $18 for 3 tacos and $14sh for apps. If you don't appreciate nicely grilled peppers etc you may feel differently. I didn't try the queso and it just hit me that I don't recall cheese on the nachos and I didn't even miss it. All this to say, give it a try if in the area.

Picante Taco nails one of my most favorite things about Baltimore eats. There are these "hole in the wall" places that you would overlook or miss if you didn't know it was there, but the food is unbelievably, unreasonably delicious! My fiancee and I were trying to recall the last time we had nachos that delicious and it wasn't until way later that night that we realized that there was no cheese on those nachos. And they were banging! I had to go back and look at the picture to verify and maybe it was there and I just inhaled the food too fast to even notice but my goodness. Then we had the blackened chicken quesadillas and the steak and chicken fajitas and those pretty much locked in that this is going to be one of my go-to spots when I'm in Baltimore or craving some really good Mexican food. Everything was very flavorful, well-balanced, and with great proportions so you really do fill up. Their salsa is also really on point and we actually asked for extra to take home. I often say that anyone's doing themselves a disservice by not visiting this place or that, but this place warrants that sort of review. Our server was Jose and he was quick, efficient, pleasant, and very helpful. And that's even with the busy restaurant. For the upstairs area four people is the maximum number of people you can have at a table and it gets crowded if you get a lot of plates. I didn't see downstairs but I was told that can fit larger groups but I don't know how large. Picante Taco is a Baltimore gem in my book! If you happen to be in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by.

We woke up craving Mexican breakfast like we had in CDMX and Picante Taco did not disappoint! Quaint little place in Little Italy. The waitress was very prompt and kind. The food came out very quickly! The chips and salsa were quite good, great depth of flavor in the salsa. The food was flavorful and the extra hot sauces provided were good as well. I loved my chilaquiles with beans and rice. My bf doesn't even eat scrambled eggs much but he loved the huevos con chorizo. The Al pastor taco was great as well. We did not get any desserts but they looked yummy! Will be back for Chimichanga night!

Me inside their dining area! The place is small so no large groups...

If you're looking for a quaint taqueria that is located nicely & serves very delicious food, then you found the right place! The server was a gentleman & a great server,

    Birria quesadilla

Quesadilla was burnt, consume had no flavor, everything just tasted very basic, queso was bland

OK, I would not recommend this place because the food was horrible, however, I will say that the customer service was really great. I ordered sopes and they were on a deep fried flatbread round and not like an actual sope. That was different, I have a bad gluten allergy, but decided to try it anyway because obviously I have a death wish. Lol. I will just say that my itchy skin immediately let me know that that was indeed not a real sope. The carne asada was not GIVING!!! The chips and salsa were good though. My partner did like their burrito. It was very much chipotle-esque so that makes sense. It's a no for me.

    Chicken Burrito

My friend and I ordered from Picante Taco via DoorDash. I had the birria tacos, I'd give them a 8/10. I'm used to the consomé that comes with it having more flavor. They were also quite cold but I'll blame that on it being a delivery order. The container the tacos came in didn't make much sense (see photo) as the tacos were bunched on one small side. My friend had the chicken burrito. Although it appeared to be a decent sized burrito, there wasn't much filling in the actual burrito. My friend gave it a 7.5/10. Would we try this place again? Maybe if we actually come and sit down. But as far as delivery, I'd say no. I give it a 3.5/5 but I couldn't get a half star here.

What a pleasant find! The ambiance; It's a comfortably small, low key restaurant yet in the heart of the city. Although in the city I went on a Friday after 5 and there was plenty of free street parking. It's very authentic from the layout to the music, the decor, the smell, and of course to the food! All of the food was amazing! We were greeted by Jose whom was also our server and his service was great; very friendly, fast and accommodating. We ordered Nachos Fajitas w/ chicken and steak, Queso Dip N Chips, two orders of Fajita Texana's, and 2 cokes with fountain drinks being free refills. Easily 5 stars! I don't usually leave reviews however I felt compelled after an all around great experience. I will be back for sure!

Came here for a Double Date / B4 the Distant Worlds; music from Final Fantasy concert. 1-2-26!.. The place was colorful and super cute!!, had 3-4 little steps and be careful coming al the way in thinking it's just the entrance because you'll miss that it's a little space and tumble downstairs. Upstairs is the seating , a few tables , walking distance bathroom quaint, small but cute manageable spot!!... Josè was our waiter He made suggestions as this was all of our first times being there!.. The Table ordered BirriaQuesadilla, Classic Mix Fajitas (chicken & steak), Chimichanga and a Mary eh Burrito!... The Mole was VERY good and flavorful it came with complimentary tortilla chips which were great quality they didn't break or chip, didn't get soggy from dipping or too much mole!. All of our dishes were flavorful , seasoned well and we wanted more but the timing!.. it was a Good time and we all agreed we must return!! So thank you Josè for making our first dining experience a Pleasant one!
