Our server was kind. The food was okay. I ordered the quesadillas with chicken, very dry.

A few friends and I came here for restaurant week the night before the blizzard and we had a blast! Service was great, the food was so savory, and the drinks were flowing! The house margaritas and El Diablo cocktails were fantastic. We split a few dishes: the queso fundido, which was fantastic, and the salmon ceviche was so soft and delicious. For my entree, I absolutely loved the enchiladas verdes, and my husband had the enchiladas rojas and loved them, too! Our friends had the soup and the quesadillas and had nothing but good things to say about them. Can't wait to come back!

I went there for my birthday dinner and I was surprised I had never noticed La Calle during all my outings to Fells Point. The interior is very spacious and can host both large family/parties and smaller intimate diners. We shared a ceviche for an appetizer and it was fresh and the right amount of spicy. I ended up getting the chicken mole for my main and it was so deeply flavored and delicious. My boyfriend also enjoyed his vegetarian tamale which was served with a spicy roja sauce. Sterling our server was very sweet and attentive. They were so nice and brought out birthday dessert flan for me, candle and all. Would absolutely recommend La Calle in Fells Point to anyone looking for a nice intimate dinner or booking out a big party.

Nice ambiance located across from the Baltimore Market. They offer brunch until 2:30pm. The place has a lot of seating and an open kitchen. We went for brunch and was the last table to be served at 2:30. Food is good though I did not see a lot of pork belly on my dish. Otherwise the guac, nachos and fundido were all good. I gave this a 3 star only because my dish was just full of potatoes than pork belly.

Recently tried La Calle on an overnight to Baltimore. Would come back next time I'm in Baltimore. We even debated on going back for brunch the next day and I wish we had haha. Def give it a try when you have the chance

This is one of those spots where you end up over eating because everything is soo good! I came in for a drink and maybe an appetizer or dessert. I was blown away by the empanada del dia! The fresh cheese on top and tender juicy filling reminded me of something you would be getting in a Spanish country. I don't like churros normally but these were fresh. They were not covered in an excessive amount of sugar and had just the right amount of salt. The melted chocolate was smooth and warm. The mascarpone was a beautiful touch for perfection. I was already full when I came in. The churros I ordered to go did not make it home! I also enjoyed the margarita but I don't recall which one. Service at the bar was lovely. The restaurant is a bit loud. An unexpected delight and I can't wait to get back

A great first experience here. The service was friendly and food and drinks were top notch. The interior is spacious with minimal decor. It's very simple but really nice looking inside. We started off with drinks, a tequila drink for my dining partner and the Strawberry Margarita for me. My margarita was well balanced and tasted delicious. We placed two appetizers to share - Queso Fundido with Chorizo and Ceviche de Camaron (shrimp). The queso fundido came with 3 sauces which were all great. The ceviche was well presented and had a light kick to it. We really enjoyed the apps. For our main, we both ordered tacos. I got the Carnitas de Pato Tacos (duck confit) and my friend got Camaron Frito Tacos (crispy shrimp). They looked delicious and tasted even better. The duck confit tacos had plenty of duck and was so flavorful. I tried my friend's shrimp taco which was also great. Will definitely be back soon!

The food: 8/10 Barbacoa de Cordero -- 10/10: Knockout good! The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender and well-seasoned. We finished the whole dish without even using the corn tortillas. Pork Costillitas -- 9/10: Very flavorful and juicy. I loved the yuca fries--starchy, hearty, and a touch sticky, with a rich texture that really complemented the dish. Ceviche del Día -- 7.8/10: The tuna was succulent and the overall flavor was well-balanced. If you like ceviche, this is a solid pick. We also tried Aguachile de la Pasión. It was fresh, but the seasoning skewed too sour for both me and my friend. The flan was delicious as well, just not as distinctive as the standouts above. Environment & Service The space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed--great for dates or a family feast. We did take off a few points for slow service; we had to call servers multiple times for the dessert menu and the check.

I came for restaurant week where they offered 3 courses for $45. The ceviche and steak were so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The service was pretty fast and the ambiance was enjoyable.

Cute Mexican spot for dinner! Wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday night but we made a reservation for three anyway. The food was decent but the elote and the green enchilada sauce was my favorite. The chicken enchiladas were good but I feel like the meat tasted better the next day after the flavors had time to sink in. The service was quick and nice . I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

La Calle is located in Fells so parking can be tricky but that means the outdoor seating is great to people watch and enjoy some yummy Mexican food. We did opt to sit inside which is just as cute and well decorated. Overall, the food is excellent but our waiter did forget a few things (I'm realizing now I never got my guac so I have no idea if La Calle does a good guac or not). Also, the bathrooms are unisex (they were clean enough but just not my preference). Queso Fundido with Chorizo: I was expecting gooey cheese but it was MELTED cheese. Also it was served with warmed tortillas and not chips Chicken empanadas: yummy, crispy, fan favorite, came with a sauce with a little bit of heat to it Chicken enchiladas: solid choice, drenched in mole sauce which was yummy Tacos: short rib was flavorful but a little dry, same for the chorizo, pork belly was the best and my favorite Guava Marg: didn't taste much guava but still a yummy drink Churros: 10/10, no notes Sauces and salsas: I'm a sauce girl and these were delicious

Good bar service. Pretty ambiance and decor. Was torn between fish or shrimp tacos. Got both which have identical fixings! Fish was better. Both were good. Elotes were piping hot and delicious with all the mouth puckering spices. Bartender was chill and gave us attentive service. Cocktails & mocktails were good. I recommend the guava margarita. Tres leches had a unique sour (passion fruit I think?) twist and was delicious. If you're not a fan of sour, I would skip on that one but I liked it! Will definitely go again when in the area to try other dishes!!

I love they have a waiting room, that doubles at a Carryout pick up and merch shop, so genius. It reminds me that Baltimore food scene is on the rise. The tacooooooos, this gotta be their bread and butter I definitely bodied it. The flan was classic, I got what I expected. She has always been wanting to try this place. And she absolutely loved it. Clavel has been in the Remington neighborhood since 2015. Mainly a family/minority owned taqueria and mezcaleria with deep Sinaloa roots. One thing I absolutely love here is the ceviche. My favorites are the Aguachile( shrimp cured in lime and spicy cilantro pesto). The salmon crudo was straight fire and I always love the ponzu tuna. You can never go wrong with the queso fundido. And not pictured were the tacos. We also got a few tacos to share for the table. The barbacoa de borrego and the El lucahdor( fish taco) is my favorite. And their cocktails are to die for. You really can never go wrong with having dinner here at Clavel. Great place to stop in and have a few drinks and grab delicious food.

Don't let the outside deceive you. Once you walk in you'll smell the fresh cilantro and chile. It took a bit to translate the menu, but you'll figure it out. There are plenty of options. The server helped us figure it out and we were set. I ordered the El pastor tacos, beans & rice, and tortilla chips. The tacos were theeee best! What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! The pico de Gallo was some of the best I've ever had. I know what you're thinking. How could you go wrong with pico de Gallo? Yeah, I wonder the same thing, but this pico was FRESH with just the right ratio of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. Next time I'll order two of them. The chips are restaurant-made. That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food. The were cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning. The rice was perfectly cooked too. This is the taco spot you need to try.

It's there and cooked without oil immersion or the awful trap of terrible portioning. Here, the nutrients shine. And that is healthy. Price: Decent. Very Decent. Everything I bought there was roughly over 45 dollars (before the tipping) and keep in mind, the condiments and sauces were complimentary. For this quality and quantity? I definitely got my money's worth. Experience: Wonderful server. Even in a busy dinner cycle, she came over and literally started to hand me a menu almost right as I sat down. Even gave me a great recommendation for the Enchilada platter and brought the holster of extras over to the table as well. The food was delivered quickly, and the small details (utensils, cleanliness, chair organization etc.) were great. Taste: Honestly this place is a standout for seasoning. It's flavorful, unique, and skewed towards spices over oil. Tasteful impact, without the baggage. A gem. Even among so many other restaurants serving this cuisine in the area I've tried, this is a standout. I'll come eat here again. You should too.
