I had a huge lunch, so I was only going to order a "small" side... but they kept telling me they were "small", so I ordered 2! These were not "small" and unfortunately for my waistband they were both delicious... Brussels (tangy salty sweet) and crab mac (Briney, creamy, cheesy) and I felt worse than after lunch... but the bloat was worth it. Ambiance is garden tavern, service was friendly at the bar, and prices were aligned with portion and quality. This joint makes the list!

I have always had this restaurant on my Yelp list so a good gf decided to bring me here for a birthday treat. I love a good treat and the ability to try out a new restaurant. The atmosphere is quite nice and cozy. We were immediately greeted up arrival and seated near the window in the front . I ordered the Caesar salad with added tomato and onion, alcoholic specialty drink (forgot the name), wings and Brussels sprouts. Our service was great as we were checked on frequently. The love the Baltimore signage as it represents our city so well. I toured the upstairs and located an upstairs, outdoor seating and the bar area which is great for private parties. Street parking~so definitely grab the first park you see. I will definitely return again.

Went back to Wicked Sisters after many years! Still a fun place. Met some friends for happy hour and sat at the bar. Our bartender was great! The happy hour specials are pretty good. I enjoyed everything I had. My only real complaint was that it's not well insulated and I had to keep my coat on! I need to return for brunch!

My husband and I drove out to Wicked Sisters specifically to try their Smith Island Cake because I'd been looking for it at different places with no luck. This place not only had it, but offered different flavors, which was a nice surprise. We came pretty late in the evening when it was pretty empty, and we were seated right away. Our server was great, and dessert came out quickly. The cake itself was good. That said, the location isn't ideal and there's no designated parking lot/area. Also, while our server was great, some of the other staff weren't as professional. Since it was slow, I get that they wanted to chat, but some personal conversations were definitely loud enough to hear and honestly, felt a bit inappropriate for a work setting.

Heads up this place is not in the greatest area, street parking only, but the inside of the place is very modern. Not only was the inside very clean but it had cute quotes around the different spaces. The service was great with our large group of people and all of our dishes came out at the same time. The food was had large portions and was delicious. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and had different flavors.

Right when we entered, we were greeted by the hostess and she sat us down. Our server, Baxter, was great and friendly. I really enjoyed the Saffron Sunset cocktail ($16). The saffron flavor was unique and really pulled through with a slight sweetness from the honey and tartness from the passion fruit. Hugo Spritz ($14) was refreshing as well. I came during restaurant week where two brunch items were $25, I really enjoyed the Deviled Egg Trio. each egg had a different topping. There was curry seasoning, smoked salmon with capers and lump crab with old bay. All three tasted great my favorite was the lump crab deviled egg. The Summer Berry Tart was also very delicious. It was a puff pastry with fresh berries, mascarpone cream and drizzled with honey. It was a perfect balance between rich, tart and sweet - although they could've added more berries. The ambience of Wicked Sisters is very casual and was really giving brunch vibes. They have an outdoor patio and two floors of indoor seating. My only complaint was the bathroom was not very clean on both the first and second floor.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. Upon arrival, it took forever for the bartender to greet us or even bring water. Eventually, I had to go track her down just to place our order. To make things worse, I didn't even receive all of the food I ordered. The bartender never checked in on me during the entire meal--not once. No follow-up to see if everything was okay or if I needed anything else. I had to ask someone else to get her attention just so I could pay and leave. I understand things were busy on a Friday night but you walked back and forth past me and even checked on the couple beside me. The wings were pretty good , and I did enjoy the Hugo Spritz. I would have liked to try the other food I ordered but never received. The atmosphere was lively, which is about the only positive. But overall, the poor service completely overshadowed the experience. I won't be coming back.

I have been wanting to dine here, so this Sunday I went for brunch. My table was on the top floor with a view of the bar and TVs. I ordered the french toast sticks for an appetizer. They had the perfect crispness however, they were slightly too sweet. My mushroom and spinach omelet was delicious as well as my spiked lemonade. I enjoyed the experience and food and I can't wait to dine again.

Note on Parking: no parking lot but there is plenty of parking on the street. We made reservations on a Saturday for brunch and got seated right away. While service and drinks here were great, the food was quite disappointing. For drinks I had a Hampden Sundown mocktail which had a blood orange flavor to it. We got the jumbo cinnamon bun to share. I would skip this. The menu described it as topped with berries (plural), and what we got was an overheated cinnamon bun clearly straight from the microwave. The bun tasted stale in texture and flavor. The icing stuck to the plate and the only berry we got was half a strawberry on top. The shrimp and grits was mediocre. The texture of the shrimp was off and felt overcooked. My Breakfast Bowl wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. Overall the service and vibe of the restaurant was fine, the drinks were great, but their brunch food was a rather mediocre experience. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to try their dinner items.

For starters. I haven't had a place in Hampden care about keeping things as gluten free as Wicked Sisters did. I'm so impressed and so happy. Almost the entire menu either was or could be made gluten free in a way that was celiac safe. The charcuterie board? Banging. Jalapeño popper? Holy crap. The mussels? Dreamy. I literally forgot to get pictures because I was SO. EXCITED. And I review food frequently. I never forget. The drinks were also so good, the seasonal lemonade is such a fun touch. And you can get it spiked! They have mocktails, which I appreciate as a mostly sober human. And it wasn't overly sweet which so many places mocktails can be. The shrimp and grits were amazing. So smoky and creamy. And my partner loved their salad. I wish we had room for dessert. We're definitely coming back and coming back soon. The service was great, the vibe was so fun, look for the hidden characters throughout the restaurant too! 10/10 what a place.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

We were served right away and informed that three options were available for the "furlough meal," (Hamilton Smashburger, Spicy chicken sandwich, and the Black Bean burger), with the option to order from the regular menu at cost. We both chose the "Hamilton Smashburger," which came with house fries or garlic fries and a drink (the garlic fries were fantastic!). The burger itself was clearly homemade, juicy, and so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. I ended up taking the rest home, repurposing it on a fresh bun, and was grateful to have grabbed some of their homemade ketchup, it was that good! Even though the meal was completely complimentary, I left a small tip for our wonderful waitress/bartender (I usually tip more but did what I could). We were kindly invited to return, whether the furlough continues or just to try other dishes, and encouraged to make another reservation.
