French Toast Breakfast

I discovered this hidden gem in Towson and wow .When that French toast sandwich came out, my jaw dropped. It was HUGE . Their menu has so many options, it took me forever to decide. They even have a fresh juice bar for juices and smoothies.

Freaking amazing food!! Biscuits with the strawberry butter were amazing. So buttery, warm, and soft with the right amount of salt. My Washington Ave sandwich was so delicious. Every ingredient was something I loved and it was truly a delectable sandwich. My friend liked her avocado smash sandwich. Lots of seating inside. It did take a long time to get our food though. It was busy Saturday lunch. Other downside is Parking is a bit annoying downtown. There's a paid parking lot across the place that was $5.75 for 2 hours. There's paid street parking as well.

*22 Feb 2026 Update* When we thought this place couldn't be any better, Glen surprised us and took my rating from 10/10 to 40/10. Everyone who loves breakfast needs to get here IMMEDIATELY! We ordered the "do you dare" and received 3 items that were flawless. Perfect flavor profiles, perfect cooks, and we could not come up with one thing a dish needed. We ate the following (newest photos at end) French toast smash burger (no bacon): 15/10 French toast soft interior, crispy out. Smash burgers seasoned well and juicy. Hash brown just right. Nothing needed. Cheesesteak potato pancake tacos: 15/10-steak and potatoes seasoned perfectly. Pancake had crispy edges but still fluffy, sauce added a little kick. Nothing needed. Strawberry Mascarpone wafer French toast: 15/10-The PERFECT "I want something sweet" choice without indulging in cereal or ice cream. The strawberry and light cream were heavenly. French toast had cinnamon, crispy edges and was remarkable. We will be coming monthly to try any new items and concoctions Glen will whip up. GET HERE! *May 2025 1st Review* A family based smaller staff. What is lacked in 'quantity' they 100% make up in quality. Immaculate customer service from everyone. A hole in the wall for sure, can not be seen from the street. Limited seating inside and outside. Food was perfect. We ordered the following: Pancake breakfast: 10/10 fluffy, crispy pancakes. Home fries were crisp and seasoned. Perfect for 2 kids to share The Wild West: 10/10 very fresh ingredients, good flavor and portion. Recommend. The Washington Ave: 10/10- I added Feta instead of cheddar and that sent things over. Huge sandwich. Flavor packed. Might want a little more sauce. Cappuccino: 8/10 a little too much milk (hot skim milk) Strawberry mint lemonade: 10/10 I recommend breakfast lovers get here!

Obsessed. New favorite brunch spot alert! They have an awesome brunch menu of both sweet and savory delights. The portions are large and they have everything from healthy options to more indulgent options. If you are felling extra hungry (and brave) you can order the double dare - three LARGE dishes of the chefs choosing that can be on or off the menu. The chef even comes out to serve you each dish. The service is great and the ambiance is very homey and welcoming! Was in a major food coma after brunch, will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely Amazing Find!

My son has visited Skillet and loves it. I thought the place was a little off beat but worth the try. I decided on the protein packed omelette including a side of tots I topped with ketchup and hot sauce. The Home Run Omelette was loaded with ground beef and tomato and other things with a nice drizzle of sauce atop the egg. Yum yum! The coup de grace are the menu items you order and have no idea what you're getting! Some real creating and delicious items chef created and very reasonable! If you're brave like my son you will try the Do You Dare and Double Dare You and you will be amazed like I will be me next time in. This can also become a food orgy for a group of friends! A pot luck of good courtesy of the Chef. Staff and management are incredibly friendly and great to see a steady crowd of customers flowing in on a Saturday morning! Very impressed with my omelette but had my jaw dropped at the culinary gift treated by my sons (who treated me). Do you Dare? I will l. Next time!

It's a cute little shared space. The portions were nice size & the strawberry jalapeño lemonade was tasty! Everyone was really nice. The chef brought out to us which was nice!

What I like about this place is that the owner is very personable and said the menu would change and not always be the same. Loved my food and recommend this as good breakfast spot shoot even brunch the food is AMAZING

Amazing breakfast spot and experience. Met the owner/chef and he was extremely friendly and gave amazing service. Since it was my first time there, he talked about his menu, his recommendations, and future changes. It was the kind of service that keeps you coming back. Got the breakfast burrito and a friend got the quesadilla. Both were made to order and delicious. The restaurant itself was clean and in a very happening area. This is the kind of place I want to frequent and I'll be sure to try more of their stuff again soon.

Cute little spot in Towson for a quick breakfast. I was in Towson and searched up places to go for breakfast. This just so happened to be the closest place so I figured why not give it a try. I had my family with me and when we arrive, it was not crowded so we could push several tables together to accommodate our large group. It's not a full-service restaurant so You will get your menu and once you make your selections, you walk up to the counter to place your order. Then they will give you a little flag to place on your table. Once your order is ready, they will bring it out to your table. I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was very filling. It came with eggs, bacon, cheese, and hashbrowns. I also had a cup of coffee. Self service and they just give you a mug. They only had regular coffee, but they did brew a pot of decaf for me Upon request. Overall a decent meal. My dad ordered the western omelette and he was not too thrilled about it. He said it was good, but he needed more seasoning. I would be interested in coming back to try some of the other breakfast options. They are pancakes and French toast looks pretty good. Pretty good service and a good price.

Strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast

Stumbled on this place with my daughter and we came for lunch at 1p. What a great find! It's kind of hidden from the street with just a little sign pointing the way. But they have a big fun menu and the food was delicious! They have a thing called "do you dare" which is kind of like an omekase. The chef brings out 3 dishes and you don't know what they will be. Unfortunately they didn't tell us that they would be 3 enormous full meals! My daughter got the do you dare and I got the French toast sandwich with hot honey chicken and eggs and bacon. The do you dare would have been enough not only for the 2 of us but for at least one other hungry person. And it's only $22! The three dishes were a cookie dough pancake stack, a strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast and a pancake quesadilla stuffed with sausage, egg, cheese and bacon. So much food but so delicious! My sandwich was also really good. I would recommend it all and we'll come back (and order more reasonable amounts!)

Banana pudding

Discovered this little gem from another app where you pay a small fee for a certain amount of food. Well the Sassy Skillet did not disappoint. We were given a Strawberry mint lemonade, a waffle a piece of French toast and an order of banana pudding. It was all very tasteful a definite if I'm in that area and hungry I'll go back to see them.

My husband and I came in for brunch. The staff were friendly and the food was good. My husband ordered a pancake..it was huge, also it had great flavor and was quite fluffy! Bought a jar of their beef tallow-can't wait to try it out! I would definitely return and recommend. Thank you for a pleasant dining experience

First, parking--as usual. There is paid street parking nearby, but it's pretty limited. There's also a covered parking garage on the next block, which is probably the easier option. Hannah's Cafe is a small spot located on the first floor of an office building, just to give you an idea of the size and atmosphere. My mom ordered the meatball sub with a lemonade, and she said everything was really good. My daughter went with the pancakes and tater tots, which she also enjoyed. I ordered the steak and cheese with fries and a lemonade. Mine was decent overall, but there was a small issue with the order. I asked for light mayo and hot peppers only, with no lettuce or tomatoes. Unfortunately, I didn't get any hot peppers, and the sandwich came with both lettuce and tomatoes. The fries were pretty standard, although they were a little overcooked in my opinion. The lemonade, however, was really tasty. All in all, everyone enjoyed their food, aside from the mishap with my sandwich. I'd still recommend Hannah's Cafe if you're around Towson and looking for a decent, quick bite to eat. 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm not sure I even know where to start. Me and my best friend rolled up (without reservations -…read moreoops) but were greeted and seated almost immediately. The area near the front window almost feels like a private table. It was definitely giving a great vibe. We checked the menu prior to picking this place and they had EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a big ole brunch of their Grand Marnier Strawberry French Toast which was a three stack of THICCCCC cut Texas bread. It was better than I hoped for! And I brought at least half of it home, because ole greedy butt over here also got the platter with the home fries (I asked for onions and got this caramelized onion topping that was almost a jam. Yummm), the bacon and the eggs your way (scrambled with cheese). My companion had this big ole omelette with a lot of veggies and shared my french toast. The sauce they served with the home fries was sooooo good - it was almost like Heinz 57 sauce but with less of a vinegary bite. The jam that came for my English Muffin was delicious and praise GOD they served butter that wasn't ice cold and unspreadable so yeah hella points for that. For the mimosas, we did the "buy the carafe and the bottle", with a carafe of cranberry juice and a bottle of Cava Prosecco. I loved that we were able to select WHICH bubbles we wanted and for two people it worked out very well price wise. The host (tall guy with a mohawk) and our server (Robyn) were absolutely fantastic. Personable and friendly and very attentive, very much able to answer any questions we had (THANK YOU ROBYN!!!). In short - this place is a gem and yall should go! Be mindful of the parking in the area, but dont let that stop you from a delicious meal in a lovely setting!!

The last time we were here, there was an issue with my allergy not being respected-- that didn't happen this time. I ordered the shrimp, grits, and greens but they were able to sub the greens with sauteed swiss chard because the greens are made with bacon and I can't eat it. I wish the grits had more salt or the sauce because it was a bit lacking, so I am glad I ordered the biscuit to add that salt. My husband ordered the duck monte cristo and he really enjoyed it. The cuts of meat were substantial on his sandwich and he liked the French toast bread. The shrimp was cooked nicely for mine and the grits were creamy. The space is still very cool to be inside and sit with a view of the street outside. I enjoyed being here on a rainy day. I also ordered the apple bourbon cider and it was good. Could use a bit more spices maybe, but still good. Our server was fantastic and took very good care of her. We will definitely be back again for some more good food.

Sadly, our server, Hope, I think, said the item had been taken off the menus despite many requests for it from patrons over time. While our other selections, crab cakes, salads, were very good we had been psyched for the now "86ed" chicken and waffles. The waitress recommended I reach out to Steve, as manager, to add the C&W on the menu, at least as a special occasionally. I would happily return to sample it, if this were to happen. Thanks. It was not good at all. Advertised thin crust was not thin at all and reminded of cardboard. Toppings were not much better and we agreed it was average frozen pizza quality. Pretty much a waste of calories and carbs. We have had better food from here from regular menu and wished they would offer specials from that. Towson just seems a bit sad these days and this place kind of feels same. A shame since it was on our regular rotation many years ago.
