Came into Vivian's today with some friends for a little remote work with a change of scenery and had the best time. Every staff member was kind, funny and made sure we were well taken cared of from the moment we walked through the door until we left. Our barista, Devin, was engaging, funny and makes amazing lattes! We laughed a lot with him during our time and will for sure be back on another Friday when he's working. Along with my latte I had the chocolate croissant which was light, airy and delicious. My friend had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and enjoyed it. We also tried their latte special - s'mores latte. It was strong and had a good balance of sweetness. There was a decent amount of seating and for those who are there to work, they had plenty of outlets at the bar. Can't wait to visit them again!

Great cafe in Patterson Park that serves amazing food , super fast service and craft style drinks in a corner cafe setting. Highly recommend!

I stopped into Vivian's and had such a great experience from start to finish. I ordered a Cortado and a Red Eye, both priced at $5. The cortado was smooth and balanced. The red eye had the perfect kick, plus they offer free refills on drip coffee, which is such a nice bonus if you're planning to sit and relax or get some work done. For food, I tried Lox sandwich ($15). The pickled egg salad added amazing acidity, they were very generous with the smoked salmon, and the everything croissant was buttery, flaky, and savory. This is easily one of the best lox sandwiches I've had. I also ordered the Cold Cut Italian ($16), which was also very good. They were generous with the salami and ham, and I liked the touch of oil and vinegar which just enough without making the ciabatta soggy. Personally, I would switch out the provolone since I could barely taste it, but overall it was still good. It comes with a side salad or chips. I chose the salad, and while it was small, the vinaigrette was delicious. To end my meal, I had the Presidio cocktail, which I had before and enjoyed. It has gin, blackberry syrup, rosemary, lime, and luxardo maraschino. It's light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. It would be even better with a Luxardo cherry added, but still a great drink. Service was friendly, there was plenty of seating, and the space was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Vivian's is definitely worth a visit, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

Outdoor chairs on Baltimore street really make for nice people watching. Tables are on the Ellwood side.

A great spot for a latte, a pastry (or a breakfast sandwich if you're really hungry), and some people watching. The team works really hard here, 7 days a week. You can get table service, even outside, on a weekday morning. Lots of laptops mid-morning, but everyone seemed to be aware of each other and it still manages to feel cozy. Looking forward to seeing this place succeed and keep me caffeinated for many more years.

First off I have to say, our server was the sweetest lady in the entire world and made our visit there 100x better! She continued to give us recommendations on food and drinks which was very much appreciated. The food was amazing, we obviously had to try one of each happy hour option, I think my favorite was the pigs in a blanket. My friend and I got the table right by the front, I love that the have the big window to let in the light and had the different option of seating.

Love the space. Small and intimate

Had the lovely opportunity to taste their new menu items and I was not disappointed. The drinks and food was delicious. The roasted rooted vegetables and yogurt dill sauce was the star of the show. I can't wait to order a platter of that. Everyone was very friendly and I met new people who i hope to link up with soon. It's a small restaurant. Somewhere I would go for carryout but have a nice cocktail or two while I wait. I can't wait til the new items are on the menu

Amazing! Chef Bobby and Miranda are culinary geniuses! We had delicious deviled eggs, breakfast flatbread and cinnamon rolls.

The menu has a large sign saying whole milk only, but it wasn't until after I ordered that I saw you could swap for oat milk for 50 cents. I wish that sign was bigger. The food was cold and took a long time to heat up/ seemed like the workers were put out that we wanted hot food... I was not impressed by the service despite the fact that the place itself is cute. It felt like just being there was a hassle. I liked how different the flavors are, and I really enjoyed my key lime pie and appreciated that they had their list of vendors public. I thought the coffee and pie was... fine for the price. I don't think I would go here again.

Though I walked here, you can find street parking in the area though it is limited and you will likely be circling several blocks before finding something (and please check signage restrictions). Pie Time is really meant as a to-go shop as there is very limited seating, just 4 tables as well as a bench. They do have wifi but I would not say with such limited seating that this is a place to study/work at. They do have a drink promotion with a punch card where after you buy 10, you get a drink free + 30% off a bakery item. The ingredients are locally sourced and there is information present on where they are from. They also have a local bulletin board with local events that I think is good for the community to find established third spaces. Alternative milks cost $0.50 extra. I paid a little over $20 for the three items below, which I also think is pricy for what I ordered. Hot Chai Latte w/ whole milk 1.5/5, this drink was sadly disappointing. While it was hot, there was virtually no taste of chai present. This tasted like hot milk with just a sprinkling of cinnamon / chai over it as opposed to a chai latte. Apple Pie 3/5, this was an average apple pie, I think it could have been improved by adding something like cinnamon to it to enhance flavoring Pumpkin Pie 4/5, this was good, I did think it was small, however. The pumpkin spice flavor was present throughout though the dough of the pie was unevenly textured throughout (some parts soft, some parts hard).

Walking into Affogato is dangerous for me--I have to constantly remind myself that I can't bring home every adorable kitten I meet! The café has the cutest retro 70s vibe, making it feel cozy, unique, and full of personality. The owners are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and have hearts as big as their mission to help rescue cats find loving homes. And let's talk about the coffee for a second--the Affogato with peanut butter ice cream is absolutely purr-fect. I came for the cats, stayed for the coffee, and left trying to convince myself that my fur baby, Margo Mae, is perfectly happy being an only child... at least until I can convince my boyfriend otherwise. I've come in with friends and as a date day with my boyfriend. Make sure you sign up and reserve a time well ahead of time. Whether you're a cat lover, coffee enthusiast, or just looking for a fun and unique spot in Baltimore, this place is a must-visit. A jerk of a manager, who goes above and beyond in making his customers feel unappreciated. The only reason this place is still open is because they are close to some of the people in the building; if it weren't for winters in Baltimore and time-constraints, no one would come here. Every time I go, I am reminded that the extra 5 minute walk to any other restaurant is worth the better lunch and friendlier service. Unrecommended with extreme prejudice.

What's wrong with me?…read more This is like one of those bad relationships that you keep going back to because it's convenient rather than because you truly like them. Food is expensive and mediocre at best. The manager is so incredibly rude and mean to not only her employees (I don't think there has been a day that I haven't seen her yelling at her employees and giving them evil looks in front of all the customers) but also to her customers! The last time I was here I ordered a hot water for my tea (I bought my own bag). The cashier didn't have a chance to ring me up yet and I asked if the hot water cost any money. The manager yelled from 10 feet away, "YES OF COURSE IT COST MONEY. IT'S 50 CENTS!!!! CAN'T YOU READ THE BOARD?" WHOA WHOA there...I told her to calm down as it's only 8 in the morning and she didn't need to catch an attitude because I never said I wasn't going to pay. If you have such a hate on life then maybe you should stop working in the food industry or better yet, stop being around people. The other employees have always been courteous and nice so far. So I feel bad for them having to work around such a tyrant. Her attitude as a manager has caused such a low rating because the leader of the ship makes the difference. Also the 10 oz cups are only 6 oz. Why advertise it as such when you are clearly lying? This was the last straw, so I'll not be coming back.

We were there at 7 on a Saturday night (we were a few minutes late because we had a little trouble finding parking) and there was one other couple there and a small birthday party in the other section, but that was it. Whatever they're doing here for dine in, they need to keep doing. It's amazing. If dine in is this good, their catering must be insanely good. Service was wonderfully attentive. We both did the retaurant week menu, which is a great deal for $45 per person. Between us, we got the Maple salmon, Teriyaki chicken (with truffle oil pommes frites), "unconventional Caesar" salad, chicken dumplings appetizer and Sweet potato bread pudding for dessert. Everything was honestly amazing and so tasty. The chicken was succulent and pulled apart easily and the fries were delightful. My wife loved her salmon. Our appetizers were great. The bread pudding too. We will be back! If you're around their neck of the woods, go. One post-script note:The menu is a bit tricky to look at online, because you have to download it to your phone/tablet/computer first, and that's just a smidge fiddly if you peruse prior to showing up. But that's not a Water For Chocolate thing, that's a technology thing.
