Love that we have a sit down option / second location. Got to try cafe dear leon finally thanks to that! However I think I may have gone in with TOO high of expectations because of all the rave reviews. I was expecting to have one of those "wow, this changes everything" pastry moments, and for me, it didn't quite reach that level. Everything we had was good, fresh, and clearly made with care; it just wasn't the most incredible bread or pastry I've ever eaten. That being said, I still think Cafe Dear Leon is probably the best bakery/pastry cafe in Maryland. Honestly, I can't think of another place locally that does it better. The quality is there, the space is bright and inviting, and I'd come back. I just think the hype set my expectations a little higher than what I actually experienced. OH!!! Their coffee though. BEST Ive had in the DMV area!!! Must order :)

Honestly some of the best pastries I've ever had! Well worth the wait! I got to La Maison at 11am on a Sunday. The line was long, but it moved decently fast. They also have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating which is super nice! To drink, I got the Brown Sugar Hojicha Latte, which was perfectly sweet and strong! Loved it. We ordered pretty much every pastry, but my favorites were the Guava and Cheese Pain Suisse, Elote Cornbread, Crème Brûlée Tart, and Monkey Bread. I also tried the egg sandwich, which I enjoyed. You truly can't go wrong with any of their items!

Great line service with well displayed signage of where to go. Seems like this place must get super busy. Came to try the viral crab dip bagel. Twas tasty but not sure I'd call it a bagel. The bread was fluffier than a chewy dense bagel. Either way it was great. Loved the sweat raspberry pistachio bun. Not too sweet. Cornbread was moist n packed with corn and cheese like I like it!

First time at this second location for Cafe Dear Leon. Street parking was fairly easy and finding the building was also easy. There was a 10+ ppl in line in front of us, but the line moved fast and by the time it was my turn to order, they had still plenty in stock. Surprisingly they still had a few Crab dip bagel which we had to try, among a few other things. I only ordered the Tiramisu Brioche because it was so pretty to look at but it ended up being my favorite. It's definitely a treat considering the prices of their menu items. The 4 items in the menu was $30, which I can maybe do every once in awhile but it would be a hit to my budget

The pastry are absolutely delicious and amazing. Tiramisu Broiche Aux Crauline was excellent, strongly recommended!

While in the area I used my yelp and saw this. My fellow yelpie friends gave it good reviews recently. Its definitely larger then the Fells location with outdoor and indoor seating. Like the other location, pastries and sandwiches are all made on site. The price point is quite insane for a cafe in which I purchased a pre made tuna sandwich, cheesecake and a iced oatmilk lavender latte for a grand total of $27!! It was very busy with college students studying and a few others sitting inside. I was able to grab seating outside under the umbrellas as it was raining. My tuna salad sandwich was tasty but the bread a bit hard as it was sitting stacked up pre made. The cheesecake was okay and my latte needed to be remade as it was quite bitter. All in all, its not a lot to rave about especially with the high price point. I may return but its better options with cheaper price points.

I truly love this place, the workers, and the people. They're so kind and helpful. I definitely recommend the seasonal iced clove matcha get it while it lasts!

The trick it seems to securing a famed crab dib bagel from the bakers of Cafe Dear Leon minus crazy lines is to head over to La Maison. When we got there, it was 2pm. Good news- many many crab dip bagels to be found. And of course it is still delicious. Bad news- that was about it for the lunch options cos that 11am sandwich offering stuff is almost sold out. There was only a couple ham croissants, a couple hot dog rolls and one veggie sandwich left. Mind you they stay open till 3pm. Once again the disappointment I always feel with this enterprise - I wish they would make more of each option on their bake schedule. They know they are popular and they always sell out of food. I can't eat bacon or ham - so really my only option on this day was the CDB (the veg sandwich got bought while I was behind the person who got it) I wanna support Cafe Dear Leon but man I wish they would look out for their customers more and make more of the things.

This place is always a go to when you're looking for a pastry, coffee, or even just a place to study or meet with friends. The crab dip bagels is always so flavorful and you can ask them to warm it up for you! They usually have new batches coming out so they're fresh. The smoked salmon on focaccia tastes so refreshing and the pickled onions add to it. I was a fan of the banana pudding. It was on the thicker side but I enjoyed it! Would get again

Tried a new item, the pistachio Madeline, great balance of buttery and nutty. Highly recommend. Also, if you haven't been to their cafe in a while they have updated their seating area and it is much more comfortable and chic with a mix of padded bench seating and wooden seating. As always, staff is lovely and the place is full.

ordered the matcha latte, monkey bread, and one of their sandwiches. i recommend going early because they sold out of the crab tamago sando right when i walked in and i was so sad. the one i ordered was still very good, though. good place to study since it has lots of seating and great food. drinks were a little mid unfortunately.

Think it's a nice place to visit once a month, simply because they swap items out. Do not go in thinking that you'll get what you want. Sometimes and often, they run out. Just get there in time for their different item roll out at 0730, 0900 and 1100. It's a pretty large place, so you can get your stuff and sit for a while. Clean as well. Staff is friendly as well.

The absolute best bakery in Baltimore. Come and park on the side of the building. Ordered two pastries (blueberry muffin is the best I've tasted/ almond croissant), breakfast sandwich and the crab bagel. The TikTok famous Fresh MD Lump-Crab Meat, Stuffed Bagel, topped off with more Crab Meat, Old Bay®, cream cheese, corn & Cheddar Cheese is everything you think it is. Don't skip on the drinks. Download a podcast or bring your laptop and enjoy.

I went with a sweetened hot matcha latte. The pastry display was empty and I didn't ask if they had anything. The coffee dip is small, hosting about 4 small tables and 1 long community table. While waiting one lady said to her friends "the coffee here is fire", that got me excited My matcha was ready within minutes, first sip, it's warm and only okay. Nothing special about it at all, but it served its purpose. I plan to be a frequent visitor because I really, really like the feel of the place, it's close to my office and I want to try the "Fire" coffee. I believe her!

The coffee was good, but it felt more like a chain coffee shop than a specialty café. The syrups appeared to be standard rather than house-made, so it didn't have the craft coffee experience I was hoping for. During my visit, my iced latte had quite a bit of ice, and when the lid was put on, some of the espresso spilled over the sides of the cup. The cup was quickly wiped off and handed to me, which was a little disappointing. Overall, it's a convenient option if you're nearby and need a quick coffee, but I'd probably explore other local coffee shops first if I had the time.

When looking through the menu, I noticed the brisket panini had been removed. I asked the staff about it, but they weren't sure why it was no longer available. That sandwich was actually what I originally knew Llamas' Corner for after seeing it on TikTok, so I was really disappointed to see it gone. Hopefully they consider bringing it back! I also ordered two iced lattes, one with oat milk, boba, and caramel, and another with oat milk and pumpkin syrup. When I received them, both drinks had boba even though only one was supposed to. When I asked for the pumpkin drink to be remade, one of the baristas (the women in the pink long sweater) initially poured the same drink over and attempted to hand it back to me instead of making a fresh one (the bar was not busy or backed up btw.) When I asked for it to actually be remade, there seemed to be a bit of attitude. She did make a fresh drink after I specifically asked whether new espresso shots had been pulled. That part of the experience was disappointing and concerning because if someone asks for a drink to be remade due to an ingredient that wasn't ordered, simply pouring the same drink into another cup doesn't actually correct the issue. While boba wasn't an allergy concern for me personally, it made me wonder how a situation involving an actual food allergy would be handled.
