Strawberry croffle and strawberry matcha latte
    Farah K.

A cute little pastries and coffee shop in Hampden. While they had a outside vendor stall for Hampden Highlights I opted to go inside and order. Seating is very limited. Like maybe order something you can eat on the go tbh. I ordered a strawberry croffle and a strawberry matcha tea latte. I crushed both of them because it was delicious. The whipped topping on the croffle wasn't thick and grainy or too light to where it instantly melted. It kept a shape while being light and fluffy and not overly sweet. The strawberry matcha latte also was pretty good. All in all I'd recommend this spot to anyone walking around the neighborhood and indulging in some shopping in the area.

I've always heard such great things about this cafe and I'm so glad I finally tried it. For starters, I am absolutely obsessed with crookies, aka cookie croissants, and this one did not disappoint. Warming up was the way to go! It was chewy yet the cookie part melted in your mouth and had the perfect ratio of cookie to croissant. The strawberry matcha was the perfect drink combo. The real strawberry purée on the bottom made it taste fresh. It definitely needed a very good mix, but then it was perfect. The almond milk made it creamy, which has become my new favorite milk choice when ordering matcha. Service was top tier. Quick and easy. The kind gentleman working so nicely opened and closed the door behind me when I was leaving. The inside of the cafe was adorable. I absolutely loved the mirror menu with the handwriting. It made it feel homey and authentic. I parked ways down, as I was in the area and know parking can be tricky. But, let me say..it was worth it and I can't wait to go back!

Yet another cute bakery has opened its doors in Baltimore. And offering croffles, a croissant waffle...what more can you ask for. I walked into a Demain Cafe and immediately felt the comfy and cozy vibes they exude. It's like stepping into a little European-style cafe right here in Hampden. This Korean American bakery not only offers croffles, but you can have items like their Bulgogi Melt or the Croque Monsieur and pair it with tea or coffee. Since it was lunch time, I decided to try the Croque Monsieur and paired it with a Matcha Latte. The Croque Monsieur filled my heart with joy. Thick slices of bread wrapped around cheese and ham, enrobed in a cheesy layer on top. The perfect afternoon lunch. And I thoroughly enjoyed the matcha. A pretty presentation of the vibrant grassy green matcha mixing with your choice of milk was very picture worthy and tasty. I settled on a slice of Salted Honey Butter Toast to take home, and I never knew a single slice of bread could be life changing. A crispy thick cut of bread encased in honey butter, sprinkled with crystals of salt, it was heaven. The staff of a Demain Cafe were really nice, making for an enjoyable experience. a Demain will definitely be a destination stop whenever I'm in Hampden.

Best matcha I've had in Baltimore! The strawberry was delicious and not too milky. I have to come back to try croissant waffles. Cute little porch area with shade and sun. Very good service! Little cramped inside but nice to stop to grab something to walk around the cute area with.

Cute little spot. The croffle was good by itself. There are seats outside and there's not a lot of street parking. The worker was pleasant. I would come back to try the lox. The coffee was fine.

This place is a hidden gem! I was just taking a walk and decided to pop in. They ended up having one of the best cappuccinos I've had anywhere locally! And the gentleman who served me were so patient and nice! 10/10 recommend giving it a try!

A Demain was very cute and quaint! The matcha was phenomenal and the croffle was tricky to cut with the plastic silverware but worth it. The lady working was so sweet and welcoming, she happily gave us some recs. I took a star away as the coffee menu was kind of limited, only one flavor and no lattes. I'm looking forward to going back after they possibly expand the menu!!

I visited à demain yesterday morning for the first time. We live in Hampden, and we're always excited to try a new spot in the neighborhood. à demain is a small cafe. There is no inside seating, but there are several tables outside on the porch. Their menu is larger than I was expecting. Half the menu consists of open faced toasts (5 different varieties), but they also offer quiche, croque monsieur, a bulgogi melt, a croffle benedict, and a croffle lox benedict. (Croffles are croissants-meet-waffles - croissant dough put into a waffle?) I got their lox toast (cream cheese, smoked salmon, pickled onions, capers, and dill), and my husband got their croffle lox benedict (whipped cream cheese, arugula, smoked salmon, pickled onions, capers, dill, and a poached egg on the croffle). Both were good - pretty classic. My only real complaint is that they don't have an espresso machine yet, so the only coffee you can get at à demain is a drip coffee right now. I'd be happy to check it out again once they are offering more coffee options, because the service was good and they have quite a few food options!

Wonderful floor plan, interior design, music, lighting and overall atmosphere. LOVE!…read more The staff were all so lovely from the moment I walked in. So kind. So helpful. So friendly. So sweet. The food was divine. Truly. The egg sandwich was so good. The croissant was perfectly crunchy buttery and although seemed like too much for me, it was perfect. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The perfect temperature. The cheese was very good, creamy, naturally flavorful not overly so. I guess I just can't praise this place enough. I stayed a while so need up getting a second drink, the Sakura matcha latte which was very tasty too - all round the right amount of matcha-y! Lol! I also ordered the blueberry eclair - not too sweet. Perfect size. Perfect ratio. Not to mention, beautiful. Just perfect. Love this place! Will go back every time I'm in town. Not crazy about the parking situation in the area but whatever, that's the way it is round there and luckily I found a spot easily :) Check this place out. It's truly lovely.

The desserts, although beautiful, were on the pricier side. I tried the berry lychee cake and it was delicious! The iced coffee was yummy too. Parking was very hard to find on a Sunday afternoon so I ended up parking in a garage.

The crab dip bagel is filled with cream inside and topped with crab and corn on top, the bread was very soft and pillowly. The bread on the sandwich was perfectly brown and toasted topped with the crab egg filling and sprinkle of old bay. On a Saturday afternoon, there was a small line out the door but the line moves quick, we waited about 20mins. I would definitely be coming back to try their other pastries. Everything looked really good!

Hands down, the best almond croissant in town. Perfectly flaky with a generous almond filling that tastes rich and authentic. I also tried their Brazilian drink and added matcha to it, and it was incredibly refreshing. Truth be told, I wasn't expecting it to be that good! I ordered the veggie sandwiches too-fresh, delicious, and very filling. I can't wait to come back. The only thing I missed was a place to sit and really savor it. The outdoor seating is limited, and the glass canopy doesn't do much to keep the heat away. So I ended up enjoying my breakfast on the park bench next door... and honestly, it wasn't a bad spot at all. One tip: they're a small-batch bakery with a set menu available during specific hours, so check their timings before you go.
