Waffle and fish

Ordered the waffle and fish . The waffle is a little mushy but tasty could have cooked a little harder. The fish was okay but the seasoning was way to salty for me. Really need to clean oil it was crusty and brown not in a good way. I will try again in future believe in giving second chance.

Triple Mix

While at the Lexington Market I saw they had some cool looking drinks and I had to try. I went with the triple mix because why I have one flavor when you can have three. Plus, the drink looks aesthetically pleasing. It was nice and refreshing and wasn't too sweet. The cashiers were friendly and the price wasn't outrageous.

This place was the bomb! My guy & I visited from Chicago and were looking for a breakfast spot. All the places we were recommended had hour plus waits and that wasn't worth it to us as we had plans. Long story short we stumbled upon this gem and I do not regret it! I ordered the crunch berry and it was amaziiiiing + I did add powdered sugar to mine which allowed me to not have to pit syrup on it. That, in my opinion is when you know a waffle is good! The chicken was soft and tender. My guy has the shrimp and oreo waffle. He really enjoyed his, but he did mention his being a little sweet. We split our meats. The shrimp was FIRE! Our cashier was cool and the place itself is market/open seating/seat yourself style.

First off the customer service is wonderful here. Everything is made to order in 10-15 minutes for a fresh and hot delivery.

Connie's Red Velvet Single Stack with Chicken Breast Tenders

Preface, I am a foodie and have high expectations for my food. Red velvet chicken and waffle No chocolate taste or hints to the red velvet so has to be food coloring used. The chicken tenders was seasoned well and were good. The syrup given was bland and didn't really do much for the meal. The chicken to waffle ratio was a little underwhelming. The whole meal was just okay; I'm not sure of the hype for this place. ‍

Oreo waffle and chicken

Located in their Central Market, which had a fun and lively ambiance, Connie's was solid. Both gents working there recommended the Oreo waffle, so I got it. My Buddy went with traditional. The food came out quickly. Both were great. Next time I'll salt the chicken a bit more but other than that, was super happy. The boba across alley was good too but a tad too sweet (ask for one less pump).

Saw this place on tv. Had to try it. In town for conference and needed a good start to the day. My wife and I ordered the original buttermilk waffle and two chicken tenders. It comes with powdered sugar and side of syrup. The waffles were perfectly cooked with a touch of crisp in the outside and soft and warm in the inside. A hint of vanilla topped off each bite. The tenders were tasty and hot and a perfect compliment to each bite. It was the perfect way to start the day

Hi I when by the Lexington Market location today and the cashier was not responding to me when I asked him a question about you all being on the Food Network show. He was not friendly and respectful he was acting like he didn't want to be at work. He need better and more communication skills if you want your customer to support your business. I will not be back again. Not good for business so good luck, the cashier had no ambition as he was doing his work. I didn't like the setup of this location but I set down anyway. BETTER BETTER BETTER BETTER The change that I would like to see is the cashier being more friendly and willing to respond to the customer when the customer is talking. Friendly Please We Need That Right Now For 2023, Resp

For some scrumptious chicken and waffles in Baltimore, Connie's is a good place to get this sacred combination. I've been here multiple times and the dude working there is always very friendly and greets everyone who walks by. After ordering, it'll take about 7-10 minutes for you to get your food since I think it's made to order. If it's your first time here, I recommend either of these: Connie's Buttermilk Waffle with Chicken Breast Tenders Connie's Red Velvet Waffles with Chicken Breast Tenders The thick maple syrup really ups the game of the dish so pour it all over your food and have a great life.

I had the Southern Slammer Sandwich (with the grits) and my sister had the Fried Chicken, Biscuit and Gravy Omelet (with the hash browns). We couldn't stop saying how good they were! The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.

After all, it'd been on our radar since Tom Sietsema's 2019 review in the Washington Post but, because it's located a long way from us, we hadn't made the effort. We're so glad we made the trip to Baltimore this past Thursday for what wound up being a magical evening. The staff was exceptional: Eliza and George greeted us warmly ("that's quite the hat!"). George led us to table #4...the perfect choice (thanks Eliza!) as I'd had my eye on that table thanks to web-based interior shots of Charleston. Jocelyn, our Server, was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the daily menu, the evening's specials, and the daunting wine list. It's no wonder Charleston was a 2025 James Beard Foundation award winner for its "Outstanding Wine & Other Beverages Program." Thanks to Jocelyn's Busser, Dionicio, our water glasses were never empty and we had a constant supply of muffins, sourdough, and the best cornbread ever! He was the master of unobtrusive service. Ah, but whatabout the food?! Perfection. Champagne followed by Chef's welcoming sippable soup set the stage for a mix-and-match tasting tour. Potato & Beer soup, Lettuce & Beet salad, and Grilled Tenderloin for me and Zucchini Beignets, Lettuce & Beet salad, and White Truffle Fettuccine for her. All simply confirmed that Chef Wolf and her kitchen staff are at the top of their game. We finished the evening with our complementary desserts (Almond Pound Cake, Cashew & Dark Chocolate Vegan Cheesecake) and coffee. Even the chocolate Macarons, a parting treat, were delicious. Finally, a word about the room. "Calming" comes to mind. Never hurried. Conversation was easy. Very much appreciated nowadays where, even in upper tier restaurants, it's a struggle to hear your tablemates. All-in-all, a wonderful birthday evening made possible by Charleston Restaurant Baltimore.

My partner and I returned to Charleston for our annual Christmas dinner. While the food was…read moregenerally very good, we were a little less impressed with the service this year. The major hiccup we experienced was my gluten free lamb shank pasta being sent to the vegetarian sitting at the table next to us. Watching this unfold and the server's exasperated reaction was very awkward. That being said, the manager (or maitre d?)'s graceful handling of the situation thereafter was great. He told us what happened, played it off well, explained that it would be a bit of a wait for our next course as a result, and ended up comping all our wine. Really classy touch. However, even after the long wait for the pasta, it was ultimately under-salted under-seasoned and not impressive at all. As much as I appreciate the gluten free option, I wish I had just gotten something else especially after all that trouble! The rest of the service throughout the night was also oddly paced. We ordered less courses than last year (only three) but we were there for almost four hours. Tables around us who arrived after us were served their first courses before we even had a chance to order. We were asked to pick out a wine first before choosing our food and since we weren't sure what we were eating, we weren't ready to select a wine. Even just getting the food menu took a bit of waiting around. Our server didn't inquire about any food allergies either so it was tough making decisions when I wasn't sure what was gluten free - and this was an allergy that was noted in our reservation, too. At another point, I asked for a glass of red wine three different times until finally the maitre d grabbed it for me after the pasta debacle happened. As for the rest of my meal, the scallops and lobster soup were both yummy but not anything life changing. However, my boyfriend's lamb chop dish was very very delicious. The one bite I had, paired with the pomegranates, was heaven. By the way, they offer gluten free bread service too. Has the Charleston lost their touch after the recent James Beard press? I'm not sure but I do hope they step things back up again. You come to expect a little more from an institution like this, especially after being totally blown away last year.
