Came here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised! I got the cinnamon swirl maple coffee pancake, breakfast burrito, and pumpkin spiced latte. The latte syrups are made in house. The pancakes were great and the breakfast burrito was just alright (I ate the other half by the time I took a pic). The service was amazing, Sage (our server) was awesome and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Would definitely come back
Met up with family our last morning in Baltimore. Was highly recommended by my sister-in-law. Street paking near the stadium district. Very friendly and welcoming staff. While waiting for the 2nd half of our party, wife had a peeps latte and I had a cinnamon based ice coffee. Check on several times while waiting. Breakfast was fantastic. Risotto Benedict, breakfast burrito, scrambled and they shared a half stack cinnamon roll pancakes. All were fantastic. Also recommend a White lighting if you need a caffeine pick me up. Wasn't busy but looks like seating may get tight. Groups of 6 or more should arrive early. We'll laid out restaurant.
My go to breakfast place in the neighborhood. I've had a few hit or miss experiences with whether or not seating is available but the servers are kind and the food is super good!
Spoons is a classic breakfast spot in South Baltimore and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is like a typical coffee shop/cafe. The cinnamon roll pancakes are my absolute favorite thing on the menu and I have to get them every time I go now. I enjoyed washing it down with a warm spiced cider.
Food is excellent and the service is excellent. The coffee is the best in town. This is a must visit. I live an hour away and still make the trip for the food.

I ordered the greasy spoon with all bacon. The potatoes was seasoned very well and I got my eggs scrambled with cheese. My whole meal was very enjoyable. The bacon was crispy and of course I had to add my own salt and pepper to the eggs but I would definitely come here again. My friends also enjoyed their meal. They ordered the 2-2-2 with French toast. I believe one got the sweet cream French toast and she really liked it. They both enjoyed their meals as well. I would highly recommend spoons for a cute breakfast/brunch spot.

We wanted brunch at a new spot, so we decided to check out Spoons, it had been on my list. Its a small space, so we had to be placed on a waitlist, which was not a problem. The restaurant had soft lighting, you hear conversations. We both ordred the 2-2-2, I got the french toast and he got the pancakes. The customer service was ok, it could have been better. Our waitress didn't introduce herself to us, which is something that I am used to at all the places I have been to. The food was also ok, nothing really stood out. We may go and try other items on the menu.

Fantastic brunch. Came on Sunday to celebrate our 25 yr old. Apple Cider Mimosa in a carafe, yum for a Fall day. Pistachio white chocolate latte, so creamy and luscious. And OMG Fried Oysters on grits with a mushroom/bacon sauce something. They were fried to perfection and everything was so great. We sat upstairs where there was lots of space and admired the amazing art work on the walls. Our server was very helpful and help us with some recommendations. Will be back.
Spoons is cute, quaint, delicious and the staff are friendly and quick. It's got all the best breakfast staples like 2 eggs, 2 slices of whatever breakfast meat you want and 2 pancakes to omelettes and sandwiches and Benedicts. We got a few items to try and the bacon was crispy, and the pancakes are fluffy, and my veggie Benedict was very standard and very good. I liked how the fruit was cut up nice and small and came with a variety. The best item is the biscuit which came out warm and fluffy and tasted so yummy with the butter packets. My orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and overall it was an excellent breakfast!
Average food, bad service. Came on a Sunday morning for brunch. There was a 30 min wait, which is no problem. Once we arrived and were seated, it took a very long time for a waitress to greet us. Turns out that same waitress was bussing the table next to us while we sat... waiting for a water or a coffee. Seems the bussing of an empty table could've waited 2 minutes to serve the table that was present... Coffee is bottomless but the waitress never came around to refill it, I had to ask. I ordered a biscuit sandwich and my friend got a Benedict, which comes with a side. Somehow the waitress got confused and brought us an extra side, as a mistake, so she took it back but she then forgot to take off the bill... My biscuit was cold - see pic for unmelted cheese... I would've asked for a new one but again, the waitress never came back to ask how it was. Despite being cold, it was tasty. They were also out of chia pudding, fine but just icing on the cake for an already pretty bad experience. Overall, for the wait time, this just wasn't worth it. Seemingly untrained staff and cold food, not sure what I'd return for.

I usually enjoy this spot nestled on Cross Street for breakfast. This visit however, my pancakes were just dried out, the syrup wasn't helping. I thought I won by ordering everything separately so I can have 3 pancakes but couldnt even eat 2. The sausages and eggs were done well. I trust this was a one off so Ill be back. A few cool things to try on the menu, but otherwise thing basic diner options. read more

Our party of three dropped in for Sunday Brunch. This popular spot had a waiting list. It was a 40 minutes wait, not too bad. We ordered ham Benedict with potatoes, fried chicken & pimento cheese biscuit, Cinnamon roll pancakes,and everything biscuit with bacon, fried chicken, fried egg, and sausage gravy. Foods came out fast. Everything were cooked to perfection. Everything tasted delicious. But the stand out dish was the cinnamon roll pancake with maple coffee glaze. Tablet service was friendly and attentive. Prices were fair for such high quality foods. Parking on the street only. We will definitely return with our next trip to Baltimore. read more
I haven't been to Spoons in a couple of years and I ventured out for brunch on this past Sunday. This time I did the Hangtown dish (fried oysters over soft cheese/bacon eggs with a side of grits) and Cinnamon Pancakes. I ordered the mushroom bacon gravy to pour over the eggs and grits. They cinnamon roll pancakes are always a hit! They really do know how to prepare frier oysters, lord they never miss! Good for a brunch date! The service was fast and attentive! I love the staff they were amazing. This was a whole vibe! read more
Spoons is a solid brunch spot in Fed Hill! It is located in Fed Hill next to Cross Street Market. We came here on Saturday morning. It seems the wait time can be long but we just sat at the bar since there was no wait. For drinks we got: Red Velvet Mocha - delicious, smooth and creamy but not too sweet Honey Cinnamon Oatmilk Latte - Also delicious with the right amount of spice For food we got the: Fried oyster and grits - yummy! Fried oyster had a great texture to it and wasn't too greasy Risotto Benedict - so good, poached eggs and prosciutto on top of two crispy fried risottos! I would get this again! Deep Fried sweet Cream French Toast - I would steer clear of this dish, unless you can handle greasy funnel cakes at carnivals. This dish was just fried up dough, butter and cream. Way too oily and sweet, I couldn't take more than one bite... Aside from the French Toast our brunch experience was great. The staff and bartenders were incredibly friendly and service was great! I would come back to try their Breakfast Sandwich or Burrito! read more
After a long 7-hour drive, we stopped by Spoons Café for breakfast, and the food did not disappoint! We had the stuffed French toast, home fries, and mimosas, all of which were delicious. The service was also relatively fast. One thing we really appreciated was that the café wasn't crowded, making it a nice, quiet space to enjoy our meal and have conversations without too much background noise. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by poor service. Our waiter forgot one of our orders and, instead of addressing the mistake professionally, was rude to us. I waited for my friend's food to arrive before eating, and by then, mine had gone cold. It was disappointing, especially because the food itself was great. If you're looking for a quiet spot with good breakfast options, this place is worth checking out--just hope for better service! read more

(Updated rating) We were seated pretty quickly but took like 10 minutes for a server to come but once they came along the service was pretty solid. I had the 2-2-2 with pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage Patties and I also had the deep fried sweet cream stuffed French toast. 2-2-2 pancakes, sausage Pattie's, scrambled eggs (2.5/5): the 2-2-2 was pretty average for the most. The pancakes were okay, The eggs were standard, and the sausage Pattie were solid. I definitely wouldn't get it again tho. Deep fried sweet cream stuffed French toast (4.5/5): the stuffed French toast was very good. I have been on an ongoing mission to find the best stuffed French toast since ihop sadly got rid of them but these are the 2nd best l've had after ihop of course. Spoons' sweet cream stuffed French toast was pretty filling as well and I would definitely recommend it and return for it in the future. read more
What a neat place to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Went with my mom on a windy Wednesday. She enjoyed her organic hot chamomile tea, while I was blown away by the Vermonter - 2 shots of espresso mixed with steam milk and maple syrup. Fried Oysters & Grits was a surprise. You don't see this on many menus so I had to try it. The mushroom was a great compliment to the grits. My mom didn't like it because she said "it's too much mushroom" which was perfectly fine with me. She had their popular Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. Very very very sweet, so be prepared. They were able to figure out how to turn a Cinnabon into pancake form and still hit all the flavor profile. The server was helpful, answering any of our questions and had helpful recommendations. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner and was still hot. Spoons Cafe is nestled in the heart of Federal Hill. There is parking on the street, or a garage nearby. There is limited seating, so there is a sign at each table requesting a 90 minute time if it happens to be busy. Inside is a little dim and it's cozy. read more

It was a rainy Monday, and we were heading home after a Ravens game. We always try to live like a local in Baltimore, so Spoons it was! Their coffee and espresso drinks were fantastic--strong, smooth, and guaranteed to caffeinate you. The food? Just as impressive. Service was solid, and despite being a small spot with only a dozen tables, it was packed--especially for a Monday. Here's what we ordered: * Fancy AF Breakfast Sandwich - It lived up to the name--fancy and solid! * Granola Parfait - My better half went the healthy route after indulging in all my tailgating food. * Challah French Toast - My kids split this, and judging by their empty plates, it was a total hit. Spoons Cafe is a small breakfast/brunch spot in Fed Hill. I visited with a friend who lives in Baltimore and it was a great experience. We went around 9:45am on a Saturday morning and we didn't have to wait for a table! The coffee was the real star of the show. The pumpkin maple cold brew with cold foam was delicious, not too sweet or artificially flavored. My friend had the iced oatmeal latte and enjoyed it too. I had the smoked salmon benedict with breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes were delicious but the benedict itself was salty and not something that I would personally order again. My friend got "the beast" breakfast sandwich and it was a hit and a huge portion which makes up for the steeper price ($18+). The service was great and the staff was attentive. The food came out quick which was perfect because we stopped for a quick bite before heading to Penn station. This is a perfect place for a date, catch up with a friend, or somewhere to bring family when they are coming into town. If I was coming with a larger group or later in the day, I would definitely expect a wait or make a reservation! read more
I left this place plotting for my next return. Everything was amazing, from the food to the service to the drinks. The prices weren't bad for everything we ordered and I appreciated the server's attention to detail and explanations about the dishes I had questions about. Nice place. Tea and coffee were great. Staff was nice. Food was good but it took a lil long to come out. I had the 2+2+2 bacon French toast. The French toast was cold. It seems like the wait staff and the cooks were not getting a long. They had a few words with each other. Hope they get along next time. read more

Breakfast this morning at Spoons Cafe in Federal Hill was absolutely fabulous! I created my own egg scramble with spinach, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and turkey sausage -- what a winning flavor combination. Every bite was satisfying. The dish came with breakfast potatoes that were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, especially with the addition of sweet, caramelized onions. I opted for a biscuit instead of toast, and it did not disappoint -- buttery, flaky, and easily one of the best I've ever had. My son ordered the Fancy AF breakfast sandwich, stacked with fried eggs, applewood-smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, cilantro aioli, oven-roasted tomato, and arugula on a grilled brioche roll. He enjoyed every bite. Our drinks -- an iced coffee and a mocha -- were also spot-on. The upper floor was quiet and calm, we were able to easily converse. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, so there was no wait, even on a Sunday morning. That said, this experience would be well worth waiting for. read more

Spoons is a cute little breakfast/brunch restaurant hidden in Fed Hill! I visited during a weekday, so there wasn't a wait. I feel like the menu had something to offer everyone! My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I opted to try the beast-- a very big chicken sandwich with egg and sausage gravy on top. I didn't finish it all, but it was tasty and will definitely fill you up! read more

Absolutely adorable spot! Was just there on Sunday with my three children and my mom and we all loved everything about it! I especially liked that the establishment was small of which made it feel cozy . The decor was super cute, nice artwork. Now the food!!! Me, my Mom and one of my daughter's (16years old) had the deep fried oysters and grits and BABYYYYY !!! Omg!! They oysters were nicely fried with a lil crisp, the grits had mushrooms and bacon with some type of mushroom gravy broth or something, I don't know how to describe it, but it was so so very good! My other children said that everything was good and they wanna come back. The service was good as well! read more
