First time visiting Miss Shirley's yesterday and had an excellent visit! We were seated quickly and our server was super friendly! The fried deviled eggs were delish and a little spicy! The waffles were also very sweet and fluffy. The icing was great and some syrup, it truly was perfection. Would love to stop by again next time we are in the city!

Miss Shirley's was theeeeee perfect Saturday breakfast/brunch spot to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We had heard great things about this spot from our realtor and used the occasion as an opportunity to check it out! from the second we walked in to Miss Shirley's, the vibe felt warm and inviting. They were playing oldies, it was cozy inside, and after coming in from the freezing cold it honestly felt like a much needed hug. When you walk in, one thing you can't miss is how many awards they have posted all over the walls (especially if your entire party isn't there as they don't seat without the whole party being there and you have to sit in the waiting area up front). This restaurant has a million awards and articles highlighting their crab cakes. After seeing all the buzz on the wall, we came in to the restaurant excited to order the crab cake Benedict, only to find out they no longer serve crab cakes. Our waitress explained that they removed them because they weren't meeting the restaurant's "standard," which I guess I respect, but we were still genuinely so sad because that's what we were most looking forward to. Thankfully, their menu is full of amazing sounding meals and we're still able to end up having a really good meal. One person in our group ordered the shrimp and grits, two of us got the chicken and waffles and swapped the honey mustard aioli for hot honey, and the fourth ordered the banana bread French toast. Overall everything was tasty, but the chicken on the chicken and waffles was a little overcooked and tough, which was the only real downside. The clear star of the table was the shrimp and grits. The plating was unique and really tasteful, and it somehow elevated such a classic comfort dish. It was honestly some of the best shrimp and grits I've had up north. We also ordered a side of hash browns and those were amazing too, super crispy and satisfying. Service was another big highlight. Our waitress was so kind and attentive, and we felt taken care of the entire time. Even though we were disappointed about the crab cakes, we still had a great experience and I'd absolutely come back.

It is a Baltimore icon for a reason! The Inner Harbor location is just as good as the original too. True, parking can be tricky, but there are plenty of public garages within a short walk. The food... stellar. Just be warned, the portions are huge!! So, if the prices seem a touch high, keep in mind, you'll easily have two meals from one entrée! The service was good, very quick, and very friendly. The location is perfect too, right at the end of the main stretch of the inner harbor walk (Pratt Street). We went during the holiday season, and the seasonal offerings were really good! Their main menu is always delectable though. It was a tough decision! There are too many other glowing reviews for me to try to add anything new, so check it out for yourself if you haven't yet!

I was recommended this spot for breakfast by a former local. It did not disappoint. The honey hot deviled eggs had just enough kick that it could be easily tamed by the sweet honey. I got the Eddie's Two Eggs any style. The pimento cheese biscuit was to die for! My friend got the chicken and cheddar waffles. The waffles almost looked like mini donuts. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. I enjoyed a Shirley's crush - which was delicious and warmed up the insides on a frigid day!

This is my first visit. Right after halloween. This is why all the waiters were dressed up.. The dishes was ok for breakfast. It's always busy. We waited 30 minutes. We took breakfast plates. The waites was nice. I took a photo with them. Ambience was ok.

We were staying at a hotel near the inner harbor of Baltimore and decided to try this place for lunch today. It was a very popular and good decision. The restaurant was just about full when we arrived at 11. The menu offers both breakfast and lunch items at that time. I opted for the blackened shrimp and grits. It really was a beautiful presentation that looked like a work of art. It also tasted great. The mound of grits sat on a fried green tomato and sitting on the mound of grits were two delicious pieces of shrimp. My husband had the hot honey fried chicken wrap. It was a huge portion and he could only finish half of it. Side choices included hash browns, grits, salad or broccoli salad. He went with the hash browns and they were also a very big portion. Service was fairly quick. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

Everything's been said about Miss Shirley's Cafe so I'll just talk about myself. I might need more glamorous profile photos since I only got one like in 9 years on my last Shirley's review. Sure, it's flattering that fake-seeming bots send me DMs, but what I can really use is some better review metrics. The Crabby Omelet was action-packed. Even the cheddar is crabby and the grits are more vivid than usual. It's best to go on the crab side of things but if you don't dig on crustaceans at least stick to the oven-mitt logo entrees. Don't miss the stunning grapefruit brulee. I haven't sampled the Kid's Boxes but can verify that years ago, a customer around two years old was absolutely thrilled with the visual aspect before taking a bite, rapidly waving his hands. For spontaneous/disorganized/reservation-averse types like this writer, the ultra-popular Miss Shirley's requires more advance planning than usual.

Visiting Baltimore from Austin, Texas, my standard for food is high, however, my shrimp and grits dish was one of the best brunch meals I've ever had! Not only was the food delicious-the staff was super helpful and accommodating. 10/10 recommend

I am so glad I found this place in my research for my girls weekend in Baltimore. We can here a little after 11 am. it was three of us and we had no wait time....It was also a Monday, but the place started to fill up quickly. Sarah was our waitress and was courteous. The atmosphere was casual and laid-back with a old school diner feel to it. For food, we order the hot honey deviled eggs, cranberry white chocolate chip biscuits, gravy train skillet, and banana bread french toast. Our food was so amazing. The hot honey sauce was sooo good, we had to get more to go. The gravy train skillet contained the friend chicken breast which was juicy and fried perfectly, collard greens that was left full leaf (not sure why) was a tad salty, grits that was cheesy and yummy and biscuit (the biscuit was a little dry). The banana bread French toast was really good, you can really taste the banana bread and all its flavor. The hot honey fried chicken deviled eggs was also really good. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and would definitely go back without hesitation.

This place is busy!! But not a long wait, they are fast seating, serving and turning tables. We came here twice for breakfast and it was very enjoyable. Service was courteous and food was delicious. The grits were really different and delicious. We had breakfast and "dessert"! The everything biscuits were different and yummy! No wonder so many people dine here.

The best brunch place I've had ever! From start to finish, it was the best, and most kid-friendly experience ever! The host was amazing and was already preparing kids activities for us, once he saw us outside the door. He was very friendly and kind to my kids, and seated us in an area where my kids wouldn't bother other guests. Our server, Chloe, was wonderful! She provided great food recommendations and was always great to check in on us. We ordered get your grits on, crabby omelet, cinnamon apple bread French toast, and a kids Bento box. While waiting for the food, our kids were well entertained with all the activities the host provided us. They played with the etch-a-sketch, colored, and read books! The amount of thought they put into kids items are amazing, and my kids enjoyed themselves very much while waiting. The food was delicious! My favorite was get your grits on, which had blackened shrimps on a fried green tomato and grits. The sauce was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. The cinnamon apple bread French toast was also amazing, as well as the crabby omelet. The kids Bento box was perfect for my kids to share, which had waffles or pancakes, eggs, and yogurt or apple sauce. If you are in Baltimore, you must visit this place. From start to finish, this was the best experience ever and the staff there is amazing!!

This location is at BWI in the A Gate area. We had a very delicious breakfast ordered and eaten with plenty of time to catch our connector. It was our servers Birthday and she ran her section like a pro. We had vegetable omelet, biscuit and side salad and the banana split parfait with vanilla yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, raisan granola and pineapple ring. The restaurant had a full bar and a handful of tables and booths to accommodate the travelers. The full menu is available all day. Welcome an opportunity to return here or one of their many locations. Enjoy!

There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Once you come in you'll have to be placed on the wait list. I believe it was about 20 minutes. They will text you when it's time to check in. You'll then check in with the host and there may be an additional 5-10 minute wait; again, it's worth it. We went on a Saturday morning around 11am. It was busy and I have a feeling it's like that all the time. It's cute and clean. We ate on the back patio (inside/sheltered). I ordered the CINNAMON APPLE BREAD FRENCH TOAST, scrambled eggs, and chicken sausage. The French toast reminded me of honey bun cake, if you know, you know lol. I probably would not get them again just because it was a bit too sweet for me but still very delicious. I did add salt to my eggs which is what I always prefer. The sausage was tasty and full of flavor. If you're ever in the area, I would recommend giving Miss Shirley's a try.

Unfortunately, I don't think that this was a great showcase of the restaurants abilities. For food, I had the Caesar salad to start, which I can honestly say was a decent caesar, nothing to write home about, but no complaints either - think your basic Caesar. For my main I had the crabcake entrée and to be honest it was just not good. The crabcake was beyond dry and the coleslaw and fries were fine but that that's not what I came for. I do have to say that dessert was great, the carrot cake was without any complaints. The only other thing that I had was the seasonal martini on the drink menu and it was so bad that I couldn't take more than one sip. Other people did like their food, but we all left saying that it was not a great meal. In discussing service, the service itself was good. Our waitress was attentive, but kept jumping into our conversation and wasn't dressed totally appropriately for wait staff in my opinion, she was very attentive though. Ambience is interesting here - it feels as though it has no ambience almost. It's just like a bunch of tables in an outdated restaurant with minimal decor. Overall, I will probably not be coming back to Sobo and can't say that I would recommend others do so.

I was disappointed because I was nervous to try a new dish that they had just added the same week (no time to get feedback and perfect the dish). I ended up with chicken, brussel sprouts, and potatoes from the keto menu to be safe on the flavors. That did not exactly pan out for me, as the chicken was tremendously dry and overcooked. I did not send it back because I was already starving, but I did not enjoy that particular meal. The potatoes and brussels were tasty though With that, our service was efficient and the restaurant is a nice vibe as always.

Not just the crispy halloumi bits but the actual noodles and sauce as well. I got the brazillian picanha and though there was a miscommunication about the meat temp, it was promptly handled and I enjoyed the steak itself. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus however were a little weak compared to the steak itself. I can't explain it but the seasoning felt a bit off on the horseradish mashed potatoes. I tried everything but the bloody marys, and while they were good, whew there was a lot of ice in the mimosa... I'm not used to ice there, so it threw me off but it was still good! The REAL highlight was the food... the item I got changed my life: Crab. Cake. Eggrolls. They came with this amazing sweet chili sauce and were so filling and delicious! I also got chicken & waffle sliders to go that had a nice kick and the waffle texture was great! My cousin enjoyed his food as well. Also, shout out to the bagel wall that's on the way to the bathroom. It had great options and all the fixings! If I wasn't full I would've gotten one myself. I will return here for brunch.

I can't say enough about this place. I've been coming every day to study for the bar and it's…read moreabsolutely perfect. Starting with the food, everything is quality, with clean and fresh ingredients and an awesome menu with everything from burgers to breakfast sandwiches. The fries are great. The space is awesome. The downstairs is nice and eclectic, lively with great energy and the upstairs is a great place to get stuff done, quiet, comfortable, spacious. Cool couches and decorations that make you really feel like you're in a historic part of Baltimore. The staff is probably one of the best parts. I met the owner, Nikki, who's an absolute gem, gracious, kind and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. Mike is great, really friendly and helpful. This place is definitely one of the best cafes I've ever been to and I've been to hundreds between NY, LA, and Miami... If you want a cool place to come hang out, potentially meet new people, and enjoy a great coffee, this is it. If you want a place where you can get work done comfortably and stay for a while, I highly recommend it.

Eclectic spot in Fed Hill offering unique bagel sandwiches and coffee drinks…read more Came here on a Saturday for brunch with a friend and was highly impressed! Even though it was a Saturday we were able to find a spot to sit, and the decor was really fun. There's upstairs seating that seemed a little quieter too. I ordered the Darwin on an Asiago bagel. I wish there was more Brie cheese on it, but it was really good overall. The apple jam was a nice sweet touch. My bagel also came with a side of fruit and a hash brown. The hash brown was a little undercooked for me though. I also got a coco cocoa cold brew, which was a chocolate cold brew with coconut cold foam. It had coconut flakes on it so I had to chew each time I took a sip, and I didn't really taste any chocolate. The cold brew itself was good though, bold and not grainy at all. It was a little loud in the cafe due to all the people, but I had a great time anyway. I'll definitely be back if I need a cute brunch spot or a coffee pick-me-up!
