Brown Sugar RoosTart
Kendra A.

We came here on a recommendation and the food and service were great. I had the omelette and my husband had a crab Benedict. Both very fresh and came out fast. We also got the brown sugar roostart (pop tart) it was eh. Wish we got the berry one it might have been better. The brown sugar one was salty and like eating buttery sand.

My friends and I came here for my birthday and the food was so delicious. We shared the Maryland crab dip and we ate so much of it we could barely eat our main entrees! The service was good, we had a new server and he was a little nervous but he was very attentive and helpful. I love the nice vibes of this place, it's never too cramped, we had plenty of space and overall it's worth stopping by for a brunch!

Stopped in at Iron Rooster for the first time! I was always a bit hesitant to come here because I recall everyone complaining about the wait time but maybe it was the weather but we only had to wait for about 15 minutes or so. Since this location is also placed within an outdoor shopping area, it was perfect so that we can keep ourselves occupied while we waited. They have a text messaging system so you can browse and not miss your turn for your table! Once we got checked in, we were immediately seated at our table and Crystal came by to welcome us and take our drink orders. She was super friendly and very attentive despite the busy time. Overall, the prices are not too bad considering the portions sizes. We got the deviled eggs to share for the table. It was delicious! The yolk was creamy, which paired well with the bacon and pickle onions. I got the BLT and OMG, the sheer amount of bacon was overwhelming (in a good way). I honestly could not finish it. The brioche was a perfect vessel for the sandwich bc it held everything together so nicely! the egg that it came with also was the perfect pairing still making it somewhat of a breakfast dish! I do highly recommend checking this place out! I was sad I forgot to order their 'pop tart' as this was what they're known for!

The food here is so comforting and delicious. The pancakes are fluffy and sweet and the butter is alike a brown sugar cinnamon butter.

Big Rooster Combo

This was my first time here and this place is so nice. It reminds me of First Watch. Me and my brother ordered 2 appetizers, the candied bacon and the breakfast egg rolls. Both were so tasty. I ordered a mimosa and the chicken and pancakes. My brother ordered the big rooster combo. All in all, the food was a 10 out of 10.

Came here for breakfast and decided to go with their breakfast combo that consisted of eggs, french toast, waffle or pancake and a choice of breakfast meat. My day decided to go for the steak and eggs and I was impressed with how well they cooked the steak. We also decided upon a mimosa (which I was informed was not tasty at all) and I always have to start off with hot tea during breakfast, so that is what I opted for. They have one of those cute tea boxes that our server presented me with so I selected two different ones for a good combination. However, they don't have carbs for hot water. My server had to bring me another full cup of hot water. Possibly tea is not a big seller for them but I was definitely missing my hot water carafe to freshen up my tea which also allows your server not to walk through the dining room with the full mug of hot water. Service was okay. I didn't like they do not have paper towels to draw your hands in the bathroom however have a pool door to exit. That's just me. But if you do need to use the bathroom and you require to dry your hands with the paper towel, make sure to take napkins in with you.

Came here for brunch on a Thursday with a large group. It was pretty empty and service was fast for us. Everyone enjoyed what they got and I especially enjoyed the grits.

Even though I have them 3 stars, it's more like 3.8 to me. Although the establishment has really nice decor in the inside the servers that greeted me wasn't friendly. (Thank goodness my order was to go). Some of my food was over cooked like the chicken and waffles. The chicken has nice flavor and is crispy was over cooked. My waffle was over cooked and very thick. It reminded me of taking a cornbread muffin and turning it into a waffle. (No shade in how it was made, I'm just use to a light and fluffy waffle batter). I'm sure there is someone whom don't mind there waffle this way. *Also with this being a to go order, the waffle would need syrup and they did not provide any in my order. I did love the fact that they had a creative cocktail and brunch menu. You can reserve seats online to dine in or order your food to go online. (I ordered online via Yelp app and picked up my food). Iron rooster reminders me of my favorite brunch spot "First Watch". I do feel I would've had a better time if I actually dined in and enjoyed the food fresh as it came out. Taking it home and heating up my experience wasn't the best. All in all the food was okay: the sugared bacon was my favorite by far. I truly want to come back and dine in, order drinks and get the true vibe of this location, so I'll definitely be back to update this review.

Candied Bacon

It was my first time visiting here and the food was amazing. I got the shrimp and grits, soo good! We also got the candied bacon which surprisingly came on a stick and tried the special poptarts that they are known for! No complaints, and service was great!

Cold, rainy day in Baltimore, the parking lot was not crowded due to the gray skies. We were sat promptly in a very large booth yet it did take over five minutes for a server to introduce herself and take our order. Understandable as there were quite a few people there, possibly have walked over from the nearby condo. Once our order was placed beverages appeared about five minutes after that and our meal was served within 10 minutes after that.. I have the angry pig, and it was served with a mountain of home fries . The egg was fluffy. The provolone cheese was cheesy and the pig three ways, bacon, sausage, ham sprinkled on top.. add a little of their fiery honey to the potatoes really woke up my taste buds. And my espresso martini, yes, I said, martini for breakfast, was delicious. I ordered it without the simple syrup as the Baileys as plenty of sweetening deliciousness. The ambience on a Sunday morning was a little bit buried. The place got very busy with people in Orioles attire as they are attending the 130 game and then Raven's attire as they have an evening game both in town today..

Iron Rooster in Canton is the breakfast spot you don't want to miss. We rolled in on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely packed -- always a good sign. Even with the crowd, the staff kept things upbeat, friendly, and fun, making the whole vibe feel like a local breakfast party. We happened to be there on Veterans Day, and they surprised us with a free "Roost-Tart," their house-made take on a Pop-Tart. It was so good that it ended up being the only picture we managed to take -- that's how fast everything else disappeared. For the main event, we ordered the Low Country Shrimp & Cheddar Grits, Biscuits and Gravy, and a round of Bloody Marys. Every dish was delicious -- hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a comfort-food brunch. If you're in Canton and looking for a breakfast spot that's busy for all the right reasons, Iron Rooster is absolutely worth the visit. And definitely don't skip the Roost-Tart!

The food here lived up to the hype. My favorite was definitely the RoosTart! Great place for brunch. Large parties can be accommodated Featured items: Rooster Bites 8.5/10 Pumpkin RoosTart 10/10 Crab Omelette 8/10 Pancakes & chicken 9/10 Service: 6/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Reservations were not needed. Great amount of parking as this location is located in a shopping plaza. Very beautiful area!

Iron Crush

Back at The Iron Rooster for breakfast before the Orioles game. Service is a little slow but they are slammed busy! Love Iron Crush. It's not watered down so you can taste the orange and booze. Upbeat vibe. Ordered the Combo Breakfast which had 2eggs 2pancakes, and 2 slices of scrapple. I ordered my scrapple well done and it was. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were. Seasonal pancakes (pumpkin spice) and cinnamon butter. All was very, very tasty. Service ended very good with quick food and refresher drinks.

It's so wonderful to come across genuine people who are funny and kind in this world. Our server and the owner were so fun and so funny and so nice. It truly felt like visiting a friends restaurant. The vibes are homey, almost feels like a library but not quite, very cozy very comfy. Food: Tomato Mozarella, this was my two fav things in one. Tomato and burrata/mozarella, and prosciutto and melon. Delicious. 10/10. Prawns: so good, so flavorful, and I typically am not a shrimp/prawn girl. Skirt Steak: this was such a juicy and moist (sorry) steak. I don't like chimmichurri (cannot spell that omg) but it was good! The fries were also a winner. Moroccan Hen: this felt like a cookout bbq to be honest but in the best way. It's super flavorful, very smoky, and SO juicy. Drinks: watermelon marg, orange espresso cocktail, and I cannot remember the blue drinks name but all delicious. I fear this is my fav espresso martini to date. Dessserts: the Poe's nest and the Ruby & Emerald. Delicious. No notes.

It had a great drink menu and cool vibe. For actual dinner, the restaurant itself had an eclectic menu and swanky decor. The service was spotty. I had to ask for water refills 2x. Also for a group of 12, it took about 7 mins for everyone to be served food. Yes, this is a large party, so you must have several servers come bring the food when you're charging these prices. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'd like to come back but at the price point, I wish our experience was better and wish the food was more consistently good.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

They had a special with lobster but we opted for the OGs and they didn't disappoint - I wish we had gotten two orders.
