I always enjoy coming to Morning Mugs for a nice fancy cup of coffee. This morning I craved a breakfast burrito and they delivered! I got a delicious vegetarian breakfast burrito that was a nice power punch to start my day. Service was smooth, staff are kind and welcoming.
I used to love coming here after run club on Sundays and sitting outside. They have the color guessing game, which was always something I looked forward to! Their pastries and coffees are great, and the employees were always so kind.
Would really put at 4.5. The French toast latte was special. Not overpoweringly sweet. Just a good flavor. The burrito was really well done. I dropped the .5 simply because I believe a burrito should come with a veg or crunch included. Little bit of a stickler but highly recommend this place worth the social hype! Smaller joint but they get things out quick!
I'm not a big coffee drinker (however my coffee friend do rave about this place!). However - this blackberry foam chai is SOOOO GOOD! Everybody go try it - I love it. They do this thing where you try to guess the coffee sleeve color to get 10% off which is so fun too!!
What a super cute local coffee shop in fed hill. It's in the cut in the middle of a neighborhood, so if you don't know it's there you'd never stumble on it. I had the banana bread latte & it was good. I like the fact that they have different latte options like blueberry cobbler & a maple latte plus matcha & chai as well. The person that took my order was very helpful and pleasant. The ambiance was bright and welcoming. There was seating inside and outside as well. I would highly recommend this shop.
Before I entered I noticed the guy in one of the yelp pictures for this place sitting outside after filming. I said wait I saw you on a picture with the teddy bear. He was so upbeat, friendly and cool. Entered and was warm and friendly greeted and assisted with selecting my order. I ordered a dirty pumpkin creme chai and a blueberry banana nut muffin. I was NOT disappointed with my order and loved the moist struedl muffin with both of my favorite flavors together. The chai was at its best. After finishing my order I was asked by the staff and bear guy lol how was my first with them. I happily informed that I loved my selection and will be back. Bear guy is utterly upbeat, personable and friendly. And with pleasure he thanked me and introduced himself as TYLER. So Tyler the dude with the bear in the picture thank you for the goodness in my selection and the atmosphere. Oh I was given a chance to play figure out the color. I chose orange but it was green. And I still got 10% off coupon for my next visit. I sat and devoured my muffin comfortably inside. There are seating inside or out. I will come again.
Stopped by and grabbed a chair tea latte. Yummy, perfect amount of flavor! I was warmly greeted and listened to at the register. I also lucked out with time of the day, so quick service. Cool vibe, think backyard garage.
Morning Mugs Coffee has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad I tried it. Parking was available on the street and the cafe is so cute and inviting. It was the perfect way to start my morning. The staff were super nice. Sadly, they were out of brown sugar syrup so I opted for vanilla instead. The workers have you guess a color for your coffee holder as a fun, engaging game. I sadly did not guess the right color, which only means I'll have to go back! The coffee was extremely smooth and not too sweet. The muffins and breakfast sandwiches looked divine and I can't wait to try them one day. This coffee shop is so conveniently located, making it perfect to even enjoy a cup on a walk! While it was a little expensive for a latte, the 16oz size felt perfect and had the perfect ratio of coffee and ice.

This a.m., I popped into Morning Mugs for a quick bite for a virtual meeting. Morning Mugs is tucked in the residential area of Federal Hill and the opening is a garage door. The people were friendly and the service was customer-centric. I enjoyed the fact that customers can guess a color with their order and if you're right, you can get a percentage off of your next one. I got a refresher and croissant sandwich that were both delicious. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. Fun fact, there are a few business connected to Morning Mugs from the interior.
I don't know how I haven't written a review on this place and it's one of my favorites to go to in Baltimore! I've been to this place a few times for their coffee. My favorite is definitely the banana bread latte. I've also tried the Espresso Martini Shaken Latte that they had during dry January! I was also a big fan of that one. I've also had their breakfast burrito which was also good. The staff is so kind and I love the little "guess the color" game they play when you pay for your drink. If you guess the correct color of the coffee sleeve you get % off your next order!
Amazing coffee place, I love the settings and the energy the vibe gives. I went here to do some homework and it was such a great vibes with everyone just focusing on their own task. The workers was super great, they let you play a little game of guess what coffee holder colors they will give you, and if you get it right you get a 10% off coupons for the next visit (first time customers automatically get one regardless). The coffee itself was really easy to drink, I think their menu options are very wide and you can choose whatever you are feeling like. I just got one of their best seller and called it a day. Overall would visit again!
Finally I was able to visit Morning Mugs. I live close by but I drove since I came from work. I ordered the black bean wrap and black coffee. I really enjoyed the black bean wrap. It was so good and filling that I wasn't hungry at lunchtime. The coffee was good and the ambiance was cute. There were some people sitting in the coffee shop working or reading. I wished I had time to drink my coffee and read but I had to go back to work. The interesting thing about this coffee shop was I had to guess the color. I didn't guess the correct color but the guy behind the counter gave me a card anyway since it was my first time visiting.
Love love love! As a huge matcha girlie, I genuinely cannot get enough of this place! The open concept is everything, especially with the nice weather coming up, it just hits different. They have plenty of outlets, and the building has a unisex bathroom with 3 stalls (located our the doors and all the way down the hallway) which is always a plus. They also give out free water, which I really appreciate, especially when you're out walking and just need a little sip without buying a whole drink. The line can get pretty long, so if you're not feeling the wait, just place a mobile order! But honestly, waiting has its perks, when you order, you get to guess the color of your drink sleeve, and if you guess right, you get 10% off your next order. It's such a cute concept and just adds to the whole experience. I haven't tried the food yet so I really can't speak on that, but the drinks are SO good. I've been getting the blueberry matcha with oat milk and I'm obsessed, the blueberry flavor is really subtle and actually tastes like real fruit, not some random syrup you'd find on TJ Maxx or Amazon. Today I tried the banana bread matcha with oat milk and I can definitely see why it's a favorite. I don't drink coffee so I honestly have no idea about those, but if the matcha is anything to go by, I'm sure they're great. Stop by if you have a chance, you won't regret i!

Morning mugs is one of my fave local coffee shops! It's the perfect place to meet with friends, study/get work done, or just enjoy by yourself. They have lots of tables, WiFi, and outlets. They have some outdoor seating as well. The staff are super friendly and they even have a fun little cup sleeve color guessing game where you can win a 10% discount on your next order. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich, I've gotten it over 5 times now and it's consistently so good! My favorite drink so far is the banana bread latte. They also have seasonal drinks and specials (last month they had a dot cake latte). They even have whipped cream cups for dogs. Love this place and will continue to support! read more

One of the best ways (arguably) to get to know a neighborhood is through it's local coffee shop. If Morning Mugs Coffee is reflective of the surrounding neighborhood, then it must be a lovely spot to live and work. The staff was super welcoming-- we really appreciated the "guess the color game" and the subsequent 10% off card (which I will definitely take advantage of the next time I'm in town). The iced latte special was just sweet though that it didn't overpower the coffee itself. Morning Mugs is walking distance to several museums and local businesses, and is definitely worth a stop if you're visiting from out of town like we were. read more

I got a maple buzz latte large ($7) with almond milk(+$1) and it was made in about 5 mins. The coffee tasted strong and there was a soft sweet honey flavor to the drink. They have a nice patio and the highlight is the big stuffed teddy bear on the couch which provided a fun little photo opp.Overall happy with this coffee shop! I came here over the weekend for some coffee with my friend. The staff we interacted with were all quite friendly. I ordered a Lavender Iced Chai and my friend got a Latte. They accidentally made two lattes and also gave us the 2nd one which was nice. The coffee wasn't too strong but tasted pretty good. I really enjoyed my chai. It had a light lavender flavor and the chai wasn't too sweet. They have a guess the sleeve color game which was fun to try to guess the color. I'm a sucker for adult treats and to my surprise after I ordered I had to pick a color to win a prize, which was so exciting.... Grown up games win! The barista that waited on me was so friendly . The cafe was super occupied lots of people lounging , working just giving chill neighborhood vibes. I ride past here daily but they're normally closed by the time I leave work. Today was my day. I got an iced coffee .... But they have all kinds of flavored option lattes and refreshers as well I'm just not good and getting the creative stuff. Black unsweetened coffee for me ...to my surprise when I got home my son made me aware that he's been wanting to try the banana pudding latte he saw on Tik tok.... If you're in Baltimore and you need caffeine there are four words you'll need to remember: Iced Banana Bread Latte. This was the best banana flavored coffee that I have ever had. The staff were incredible too! So friendly and welcoming and even gave me a rewards card even though I told them that I don't live in the area. In fact, I live about 380 miles away but if I'm ever in Baltimore again... Morning Mugs is my go-to spot for coffee. The shop is walking distance to Federal Hill park and the inner harbor. read more
Such a cute spot! Came Saturday morning and was decently busy (no open tables but no lines to order). Was super hard to find parking so my husband dropped me off. I got the lavender matcha with oat milk and was super excited for it since I loved the one at Starbies. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet and very grassy tasting for my liking (coming from a Japanese person who frequently drinks matcha). Maybe the sweetness came from the oat milk? But I definitely won't be getting this one again. I got my husband a latte with whole milk and that was soo good! We also got the pop tart with matcha icing (10/10!! Could've devoured like 10 of these), croissant (7/10), and the spinach croissant/pastry (9/10). read more

Morning mugs is by far my favorite coffee shop in the city. It's the cutest little shop located in a beautiful walkable neighborhood. The baristas are friendly, helpful & quick at getting drinks made. The drinks are unique and soooooo delicious. The toasted coconut latte is drool worthy! It was a little overwhelming walking in because it was so packed but the line moved really fast and we got our items super fast. My favorite coffee shop in South Baltimore! The baristas are always friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy being there, even when they get super busy. I always go with a classic vanilla latte, but they also have fun seasonal drinks like matcha lemonade and unique cold foam flavors. Mix of folks working on laptops, friends catching up, and people stopping in from walks. The outdoor patio seating is lovely in the spring and early fall! There is a bathroom down the hall, and power strips for those in it for the long haul. read more

absolute local gem! I've been here twice now and I've discovered this place as its nearby my local Pilates spot. Street parking is relatively easy both on their street and nearby streets. They have plenty of indoor seating and outdoors and I have seen many people studying, reading, and working remote here. As a huge coffee shop lover, I am serious when it comes to coffee shop reviews. I didn't have any expectations for Morning Mugs, but they actually knocked it out of the park with their service, drinks, and food. Firstly, the cashier who took our order was friendly, kind, and engaging. She was honest about the foods they didn't have and even recommended the Russian Dirty Chai Tea, mentioning it was a fan favorite. SHE WAS CORRECT! She also played a fun game where you guess the color of the coffee cup sleeve (not sure what it's called), and since I guessed the right color, I got a 10% off discount code for my next visit.
