It's a basic coffee and baked goods counter. There are some tables inside the main area and breezeway, but most people are doing takeaway. The baked goods remind me of Costco. There's a good selection though. I had a Blueberry Scone and Chai Tea Latte. Scone was nothing memorable but good. The chai latte was from a concentrate and whatever concentrate they used probably had a nice flavour, but for me they used too much of it, which meant the drink was really sweet and syrupy and also really caffeinated. That's great if you want a caffeine hit, but I was only prepared for the moderate level of caffeine that you normally get with these things and was surprised to find myself buzzing shortly after finishing. The most appealing part of the place is the couple who runs it, who were very sweet and took the time to make sure they understood everyone's order. The eating area also looked clean despite being bare and a little disorganized (cramped layout and boxes on one of the tables). I would really only recommend it if you need something to eat or drink in a hurry and the location is convenient (which is how I ended up there - it was on my route and very little was open before 8 am). The prices are affordable enough that it can be an everyday stop. Otherwise it's not much of a destination, at least based on what I tried. read more

Came in on a Saturday afternoon to a friendly greeting and a cute setup. It's exactly what you expect for a small downtown coffee shop, with espresso, chai, smoothies, and both breakfast and lunch options including fresh pastries. Prices are great, I got a medium chai tea latte with an espresso shot added fur just $5 and it was delicious! I'm glad after seeing it passing by so many times that I finally have Coffeeland a try. Despite the name, Coffeeland seems to be more of a cafe than a coffee shop. They seem to focus on sandwiches and lunch fare, and they have more drip coffee selections than specialties like lattes (aside from regular, vanilla, and caramel). I didn't enjoy the almond milk latte I got ($4.29 with tax); it tasted like watered-down espresso. Two sips and couldn't drink any more. The cup and sleeve it came in were one of those generic ones you can get at Sam's Club. I guess I was expecting more of a focus on coffee than the name led me to believe. read more

Coffeeland's owners/operators KC and Sue have made this small cafe a truly special place. The coffee is so good- whether you're getting it hot, iced, or in a smoothie (yum)! They also have fantastic food- a wide variety of sweet treats plus a great selection of sandwiches that are lastly and inventive. Also, the place and its' owners have a charm and pleasantness that is something special. You only have to go a few times before they know your name and drink preference (which make sense because you want to go every single day)! Edited on 6/4/08: Coffeeland is open on Saturdays too now! Rejoice! You must have the Coffee (Cappuccino) blended drink at CoffeeLand. It surpasses all frozen blended coffee drinks from here to Los Angeles, I kid you not. I will even rank this drink above my hometown favorite, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf ice blended vanilla. I daresay CoffeeLand produces bliss in a plastic cup. For only $2.99, this drink does not just beat Starbuck's arsenal of whipped cream and sugar, it bodyslams it and leaves it for dead. The husband and wife team who run the shop are extremely friendly and very customer service-oriented. I love the "mom and pop" shops, so boycott the incompetent idiots at the newly opened Starbucks down the street and choose CoffeeLand! You won't regret it. Tip: They are only open during regular 'business hours' Monday to Friday. If only they were open on weekends...guess they have to have a life. read more

I love a good mom and pop establishment, and this is quite possibly the cutest m&p duo I've seen in a while. Not only is their service incredibly friendly, their coffees and breakfast sandwiches in particular are also on point. Whether iced or hot, their drinks hit the spot. They also offer lunch sandwiches as well as all-day pastries that are giant, if that's your thing (I admit, sometimes they are mine). You can take your order to go or sit yourself down at a table to enjoy your food and drink (word to the wise: there's this adorable little alcove where I like to sit a while with my boo when we have time to enjoy our coffee). Oh, and free wi-fi: always a plus! All in all, it's a nice experience whenever I stop by, and I love that my wallet stays pretty happy and full after a visit here, too. They have great pastries some of my favorites are cream cheese danishes, a variety of muffins such as chocolate black bottom, corn, apple strudel and pumpkin spice which is my favorite. They offer a wide range of gourmet coffees that you can purchase by the cup or by the pound to take home to prepare. They offer a flavor of the day if you want to try a range of different flavors over time. They sell breakfast and lunch sandwiches named after Baltimore landmarks such as, "The Camden". The sandwiches are very fulfilling and flavorful. You can order the soup of the day or chips to go with your sandwiches. The 1 star is for the attitude of the owner, the lady owner. She yelled at me "no trespassing" because I had the nerve to use one door to enter their shop but exit through their second door. I was going to buy a sandwich but couldn't see one to my liking on their menu. Plus it was completely empty and it just didn't look like a good place to eat. While walking away she yelled " next time no trespassing ". I guess she assumed I'm taking a shortcut through their store which I totally wasn't. I bought breakfast there sometimes, nothing special, I can name other 10 better places around. So don't go in there unless you want to deal with rude owners! In Baltimore for business, originally from the NW where coffee is a lifestyle but don't let that think that I'm a perfectionist. I was looking for a coffee shop near my hotel and tried Coffeeland......not impressed at all :-/. The latte was scolding hot, couldn't drink it for 30 minutes, I mean come on!! When I was finally able to drink this molten lava it tasted like water with a hint of coffee. This is a latte (with milk) why does it taste like drip coffee??? I did have a breakfast sandwich too which was ok. I am here for 10 days and can say without a doubt I will not return. Hope this helps. read more

A great place to stop in for coffee and a bagel. I usually get an iced coffee, even in February. The owners are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I like that they play classical music, too. It's something different than the music you find in most coffee places. The bagels sandwiches are creative... BLT, vegetarian options too. This coffee shop is my go-to. The owners are kind and take the time to talk with you and remember your order. The chai is the best in town.

I'm finding that I have two 1-5 star scales when I review places here on Yelp. One scale is for places that are expensive or I have reason to believe should be a superlative experience, and the other is for greasy spoons and places that don't try to be fancy. This place is five stars on the latter scale. What can I say? I had a good experience here and the owners seem like delightful people.
