I stopped in for a morning snack and had a delicious sampling of croissants and muffins. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The almond croissant was my favorite. The service was kind. I got it to go but I can't wait to check out the interior and spend a morning there over the weekend.

Black Acres Roastery is my new favorite work space! Cafe Fili reigned supreme for quite some time but it's becoming increasing crowded over the last year around lunch time. I needed a quieter space. I found it in Black Acres Roastery. It's quite, spacious, and just want I needed. There were lots of seasonal drinks made with sweet potato syrup, maple syrup, etc. since it was my first time I stuck with regular drip coffee. There's nothing regular about their drip coffee. It is scrumptious!! I also tried the Apple danish. I almost didn't get it because it was rather big. I got it warmed up. First bite I knew I made the right decision. It was DELICIOUS! So damn good! It was only 1 Apple Danish left in the container. If there were more I would have gotten one to eat later. 100% recommend

Great coffee and pastries. Nutella filled croissants and crogel. It's a walk up window but service was still good. Outdoor seating was a nice vibe.

Black Acres Roastery is located inside of Open Works, a co-working and maker space that hosts skill building workshops related to technology. I love the concept of Open Works because if you know me, you know I love all thing's accessible and affordable for my community. But on to Black Acres lol Overall, I really enjoyed my first time at Black Acres! The staff was very personable and helpful, I even overheard the person at the register helping a woman around the menu. It's always refreshing to be met with staff that's willing to answer your questions. They have a pretty fun selection of lattes, coffees, and tea beverages. You can even buy their Colombia Aponte Honey roast at the Trader Joe's in Towson (that particular one is a bit too light for my cold brew heart). Besides the staff being the obvious stars of the show, they have this genius bagel that I never knew I needed. Gather around as I sing the praises of their Crogel! You heard me, it's the cronuts savory hip cousin. A croissant, thinly sliced and topped with everything seasoning in the shape of a bagel. It was so savory and yummy, I need a pack of 5 at my local grocery like yesterday. I also got the marrakesh morning and yuzu cold brew. The marrakesh was sweetened just right. The yuzu cold brew was refreshing but more citrus forward than I was anticipating. I also bought a pack of their single serve decaf packets! Check them out if you want a break from your regular coffee work spot and are looking for some light fare. Overall a very neat place, and a nice addition to the greenmount area :)

I am all for supporting small, local coffee roasters so I was really excited to check this out with my friend! The coffee shop is located inside Open Works, it has easy access in and outside the building, relaxing yet productive vibes. The high quality coffee drinks were made in a timely fashion. I highly recommend the matcha latte!

If you love coffee, you must stop by Black Acres Roastery. One of two locations in Baltimore, this one is inside a co-working space with a mission to empower local small businesses and creators. Inside is Black-owned Black Acres Roastery selling a full coffee menu from classics to specialty drinks like a baklava latte. (If you like more sweet drinks, order one.) They also sell pastries locally made like muffins, coffee cake, cruffins, etc. For a more substantial breakfast, order the breakfast sammie. If you add bacon, it's really delicious!

Black Acres Roastery is located in what seems to be a studio space. They offer ample parking and a variety of caffeine beverage from teas to cold brew. I had ordered the Salt Bae ($5.50), which was rich and creamy in the salted caramel flavor mixed in with espresso milk. I had paid for the Nitro Cold Brew ($5), but the barista said they were out and instead got a regular cold brew which normally I would understand, however I did pay extra for a nitro cold brew and did not receive anything in return. The cold brew was good, but for the small size, this cafe is a bit expensive. There is enough seating room and I do believe in supporting small businesses, but I was not content with my experience here.

Great coffee and breakfast spot that was in R House. I'm behind on reviews and stopping in after going to an ultrasound appt at Hopkins. The staff was super friendly. They offered all types of coffee/ drink styles. The breakfast Sammie's weee delicious, my wife and I ordered two different ones. Sad to see them leave that spot but excited to visit their new location. Also had them at the Sagamore Penny Proof event. Pumpkin coffee and the everything bagel cronut (croissant doughnut) were freaking to die for.

Almond croissant and Gingerbread Latte @blackacresroastery

One of THE best coffee experiences I've had in a long time! The Gingerbread Latte was amazing and the warmed almond croissant was the perfect blend on flaky and decadent! Definitely returning to the Greenmount location again and again!

I had the sincere privilege of meeting the owner of this coffee company during, a live taping of the 'No Pix After Dark Podcast' in October 2021. At that time, I picked up several freshly ground bags of coffee, and let me tell you, I've found my favorite coffee blend now! I've been an avid coffee drinker for years, and I almost treat my coffee like my wine. I'm very selective. This coffee is smooth and I love it! There's something for everyone, and that's what I love! My husband loves dark roast with a strong robust flavor, and I love a medium roast. I was so pleased to find that they had flavors that would accommodate both of our palates. The owner is is super nice and this company has wonderful! I look forward to to seeing them become a household name! I highly recommend them!

This was my second visit, and it definitely lived up to the first. On my first stop, I had the ham and Swiss panini with a cookie butter latte. The sandwich was grilled perfectly, crispy on the outside, melty and satisfying inside, and the latte was absolutely delicious. I was honestly bummed to learn the cookie butter latte was seasonal because it deserves a permanent spot on the menu. This time around, I tried the breakfast panini and added ham, along with an iced sugar cookie latte (another seasonal drink that was so good). The food was pleasant and comforting, and once again, the drink really stole the show. Overall, Llamas Corner nails the combo of great atmosphere, thoughtful food, and creative drinks. I'll definitely be back... just crossing my fingers that some of those seasonal lattes become regulars.

There are two kiosks where you order. I got the french toast matcha latte which was ready quickly. The matcha wasn't the best quality or wasn't prepared properly, imo. It tasted very soapy and the french toast flavor wasn't very noticeable. I've definitely had much better matcha in Baltimore and wouldn't recommend Llamas' if you're particular about your matcha. Maybe their coffee is better? I also noticed a section on the menu labeled "gluten free" but the only option listed was a bag of chips. Would be nice to see some other offerings for GF folks.

Inside is bigger than it looks and has a nice amount of seating as well. Since my time was limited, I didn't really get to explore the menu like I wanted, so I ordered a hazelnut latte and a ham & cheese croissant. Their croissants looked so good, I wanted one of each. They also had several toasts on their menu. I'll have to go back for sure! Th service was regular, you order, they tell you how much you owe and you pay. I got in my car and couldn't wait. Made fresh, with simple and clean flavors, no fuss or filler. They also sell some cat toys and books about cats around the seating area before you get to the room with the kittles. Some of these book titles are hilarious! Affogatto was started in 2024 by Tony. He helps facilitates the cat interactions. To interact with the kit-cats you can make an appointment (25 minutes for $10) online: https://www.affogatto.com/ and I've been here a few times for the appointments and it's always such a chill time :) You can tell that the kit-cats are well cared for. They are living their best "cat mojo". Very active and are not afraid to chase after a cat toy. The area where you interact with the cats is very clean and tidy. There are places for the cats to scratch on scratchers, lay around in beds, wall mounted shelves and perches for them to climb along, a running water fountain for them to drink water, and a litter box. Each time I come here, there are new kit-cats and that warms my heart... because it means the previous kitties have been adopted to good homes :) I have 2 boy cats that I left at home with my parents when I moved, and I miss them a lot. Coming here is low key therapeutic for me as I get some furs time. The yummy, caffeinated beverage selection also helps :) If you have some time, stop by. Get a beverage, make an appointment to meet some cute kit-cats. You might even find yourself a fur-ever companion :D
