    Pistachio latte and oatmeal cookie
    Mel L.

I found this place on Google and the shop looked so cute, I had to stop by. The Llama backwall and the wall art is definitely a vibe. There is a decent amount of seating too plus the swing seats were super cute. I ordered a latte and an oatmeal cookie. The latte was just okay and the cookie tasted a tad stale unfortunately. It wasn't the best experience but I would try a different drink next time I visit.

Llamas' Corner is a Black, Woman-Owned business in Bolton Hill. I visited because of an online recommendation I came across (maybe Reddit?). The vibes at Llamas' Corner are unmatched. Vibrant and bold llamas painted onto brick, a comfortable couch and window swings. Yes, you heard me correctly, window swings. I could sit at Llamas' Corner all day long, especially on a cold winter one. I only drank at Llamas' Corner, no food despite them offering a handful of options. Everything is ordered via a kiosk. There are colorful pictures included and it was pretty easy. I opted for an oat milk latte and, because they have vegan whipped cream, topped it with whipped cream. This is a million miles away from my typical coffee order. I definitely liked what I had as a "dessert" coffee. Really couldn't taste the coffee so I can't compare it to other coffees I've had. The price seemed pretty standard, especially considering they offered the vegan whipped cream.

Corner shop with good coffee and limited, but tasty menu

This is a good corner shop, simple sit down type of feel. As I entered I felt a positive vibe, with a very laid back feel. You'll get a warm/quick greeting and then be guided to order on the touch screen. Which totally makes sense so that they can focus on the orders at hand. I live a good coffee and the double shot option made my day. I enjoyed the toast and sandwich selection we went with. Out of everything I would of skipped the brownie. The seating is limited and you can tell there are a handful of early risers that want to take a meeting or two out of the home and enjoy the cozy vibes and fresh brew. It was a nice change of pace, the coffee and tea options are what left the most lasting impression.

Stopped here for a late afternoon coffee. Around 4:30, it was quite as almost closing time. Smaller, narrow interior with a lounge area on one side that has swing seating. A couple of tables outside. Street parking and found a spot right in front. Mostly about the coffee here-organic, fair trade, single origin (which I like) with Tea/Boba and a good selection of sandwiches and pastries. Interesting "made to order" selections. Ordering is Digital self serve at the front counter. Guava Danish stood out and it was excellent and pricey. Got the Llamas Lick macchiato iced and it was delicious-which says a lot as I usually get my coffee hot. Service was friendly and helpful. That said, a bit slow especially given there were minimal customers-think it was a process anomaly? Overall, Llamas has been added to the list of coffee stops when in the area!

It's smaller than I expected but it's a really nice hidden gem. Great coffee and great sandwiches. If you're looking for some place to do homework, study, or write, with a steady flow of good coffee you couldn't ask for better. I love the artwork that decorates the walls and that is posted for local artists. It creates a really nice vibe. No complaints on the service. They seem like really nice ladies.

Wanted to try a new place to work remotely so I decided to try Llamas Corner. Great decision. Cute and cozy with fun vibes and good music. I had headphone to listen to my own music but took them off repeatedly to listen to what they were playing lol. Even someone that called me stopped mid convo to ask where I was because the music was vibing lol. Now to the menu. For a small cafe the menu is rather extensive! I didn't know what to choose! But I went with a llama latte and was NOT disappointed! I sat in the swings and was able to get some work done. Will definitely be back!!!

Fire panini but a bit disappointed. I stumbled across llamas corner after I was out and about with my dog. I heard that the brisket panini is a must try and I never had llama milk before so I was looking forward to getting an iced drink especially since the weather was blazing! First off the cafe is beautiful with llama themed wallpaper and art everywhere. It was compact but still had enough space for people to lounge, do work, and eat. Ordering was easy with the iPad and It took around 20 minutes to get my food. I ordered a brisket panini and then asked where can I opt in llama milk to my iced chai latte. Only to find out that it's all a gimmick! That made me a bit disappointed nevertheless the panini was pretty good. I enjoyed the cheese and sauce and slight sweetness of the pickles. Despite my disappointment, I'll try It again one day.

I decided to adventure to this local minority small business cafe in the Bolton Hill area. It came across my Yelp feed and I had it on my "to go" list as the pictures and the reviews seemed pleasing. As I approached driving up, it can be missed as its not a stand out type place. As I walked up its curb appeal was not as I would think to bring in someone driving by on a whim. This is not a large cafe but an okay size for the location. I walked in and there seemed to be only two young ladies working seemingly busy but there were not a lot of customers. I don't recall being greeted as we walked in but at some time afterwards we were acknowledge. Taking in the mood, the llamas and vision was moving. The vibe I felt with the decor was with amaste being at ease with the divine in one honoring the divine in another; relation as there was more so single patrons very quiet with just the music in the background. We ordered on the kiosk which was not very descriptive and helpful leading me to flag down one of the young ladies to ask questions assisting in me making my selection. After getting thru the sort of tedious order process, we were left with a $30 receipt for a hot salted caramel chai, a hot pumpkin cheesecake latte and one turkey panin hoping the orders stood up to the price paid. Our hot cafe drinks were up and retrieved. I didnt expect to receive a 5 to 6 oz size hot drink for the price paid. The pumpkin cheesecake was selected based on the picture; and this by far was not as expected. The taste would be the determining factor. I took a sip and instead of it being a hot latte it was fairly room temperature and the taste was bland. Unfortunately for $8+ this was not pleasing and worth the money. I had to alert the young lady and kindly let her know that my drink was to be hot and it was not at the desired temperature. I was informed that the selected latte was 2 oz of espresso, 2 oz of milk and 2 oz of cold cream cooling the latte down tremendously. She went on to say that the milk could not be steamed as it would curdle. I was perplexed as I thought that the milk gets steamed in a latte. And also I had oatmilk. Needless to say she offered me to get another selection but never refunded nor asked if I wanted the difference for the over priced drink as I received a regular vanilla latte for I believe $7. The panini was up next. It was nothing exciting. Just turkey lunch meat with an avocado spread placed on a panini press. My overall review of this place was not as expected based on the reviews that led me here. Based on the service, the expensive items and the taste, I was not wowed and impressed. The view and vibe with the decor is amazing. If my order stood up to expectation, with the vibe and the mood of the llamas (prosperity, luck, gratitude, and a connection to the divine) I would not have thought twice about the price paid. Unfortunately, this would not be one that I would say I definitely will visit again.

I went to this place after everybody kept telling me that they had such good coffee. And let me tell you they were not wrong. I love how Home and atmosphere the café was it gave vibes of being in someone's living room and I really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the white mocha latte and it was absolutely fantastic. I didn't have to add or change a thing. It was really good. The CUSTOMER SERVICE was absolutely amazing. I appreciate how everybody was so patient with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted to order. Definitely going back.

    Llama Guac-N-Roll Turkey Panini
    Steven M.

Quaint little coffee shop in Bolton Hill. Llama's offers a unique variety of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, along with small bites and pastries to accompany. Self-serve kiosks are utilized for in-person ordering. Be aware that cash is NOT accepted. After perusing the menu, we decided on a couple of hot lattes and a turkey panini. To my surprise, the grand total was cents shy of $30. After a few minutes, the lattes were ready. Disappointingly, one was lukewarm at best. When it was brought to their attention, they offered to make another selection. The turkey panini was crisp and flavorful - absolutely no complaints. Cool decor with a cool playlist to match. Free street parking is available. Definitely add LC to your list!

I enjoyed hanging out in the small cafe on a rainy day. The place is very small, so I recommend coming at an off peak time to enjoy it more. There were only a few people when I went. They had some books and games to promote hanging out as well! They have a nice selection of seasonal drinks, coffees and teas. The service was friendly and helpful. You order on a digital menu at the counter, but service was there to answer questions. Parking is on the street and was easy to find on a Saturday afternoon. For food, they have a selection of paninis and a few other items. I got the chicken pesto, which wasn't bad, but I was not too much a fan of the flavor profile. The cappuccino I ordered was sweet, but still really good. They also had a sweet potato oatmeal that I wanted to try, but then I saw a can of Bruce's Yams on the shelf and felt less inclined to get it. With that, the vibes were very chill and the music was good. I would return to hang out but the food was not a highlight overall.

matcha brown sugar milk tea with oatmilk
    Latesha J.

I have been seeing the infamous swings on IG and decided to visit Llamas Corner. The place is quaint and cute with beautiful decor. I had the matcha brown sugar milk tea with boba. It usually comes made with water, but i was able to ask the staff to make it with Oat Milk. IT WAS AMAZING! I don't know what it tastes like with water, but please sub it out lol. I went to eat somewhere else, and still came back for another one before i drove back home. It was THAT GOOD!

Going to a cat cafe…read morehas been on my bucket list for quite some time, probably since I moved to Philadelphia back in 2022/2023. I didn't knkw that this was a thing until I had gotten there. After living in Philly and trekking my way down to Virginia, I learned about Crumbs and Whiskers in DC and Mount Purrnon (play on words for Mount Vernon) and man this did not disappoint. It is a well run operation. It has been awhile since I have been there so I am going off of my memory from 2023/2024, but you had to take this stairs down to a lower level basement area where you were let in by appointment time. The place was pretty packed. There were cats all around climbing the walls, sitting in people's laps relaxing, hanging out in this little plastic basins. I felt so fortunate that I was able to participate in this or even discovered it. The directions were pretty straight forward. You have to be mindful of your belongings though and move your shoes in a cubby hole. Some cats are friendlier than others. They all had cute namesI even got to chat with some folks. I went by myself as I have no shame and don't wait around for others or need other people in my life to do fun things that make me happy. I like solo dates lol but it was nice getting to see how much joy cats and kittens bring to people of all ages from all walks of life. I felt honored when some cats slowly made their way towards me. One even proceeded to sit in my lap in the clear basin bowl and curled up into a little ball and fell asleep on me lol The neat part or perk is that staff will come around and take pix of you on a polaroid instant camera to capture the memory for you. I still to this day have my polaroid back of the little grey kitten and me. If I was ever in DC again, I would definitely go back. It was an entirely different experience and a bit more crowded as it's popular, than Mount Purrnon in Alexandria, VA but it was so cutely decorated with the black/pink aesthetic. I even went home woth a souvenir mug:)
