I had a lovely experience at The Stoop. Whenever I visit my bestie in Bmore I always find myself wishing there was a coffee shop within walking distance to her place. I was really happy when I saw this new coffee shop opened up in Pigtown right next to her! After reading great reviews, I decided to walk over to grab myself my morning coffee. My bestie doesn't drink coffee, so I decided to grab her a hot chocolate. I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. There was a line to the door, which I think was amazing. There were some seats inside, and nice natural lighting near them. It looked like there were quite a few food options which is always great at a cafe. It is a bit of a smaller space, but maybe this was emphasized because of all the people. I was just there for drinks and this review is based only on the drinks I got. I'd be interested to return and try food as well as more beverages. I had ordered their special salted caramel mocha, however, it felt seemed more like just a plain mocha. My friend really liked her hot chocolate. It was too sweet for me, but she enjoyed it. I'm excited to come back and try other things when I'm in town.

Lavender fields forever and smoked vanilla latte

I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. When we're on vacation, we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to The Stoop. We chose The Stoop because it was close to our ultimate destination, the B&O Railroad Museum. It's located on Washington Blvd near both M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards. The coffee shop itself is small and consists of a couple of tables inside, a display case full of baked goods, and a small side area with items for sale. For our coffees that morning, I went with a smoked vanilla latte and chose the Lavender Fields Forever for my wife from the specials menu. Unfortunately, I had misread matcha for mocha, so it wasn't something I normally would have ordered for her. The barista was training someone that day, so our drinks ended up taking 15 minutes instead of the 5 I would have expected. After getting back to the car, I was able to try my coffee, and I have to admit that I loved the combination of smoke and vanilla along with the strong coffee flavor. Even though my wife likes matcha, she was not a fan of the flavor combination in hers, and when I tried it, I had to agree. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While I enjoyed my coffee, the wait for two drinks was quite long, and both my wife and I did not appreciate the flavors of her drink.

I popped into The Stoop this morning after seeing a social media post about it. I was perhaps aware the previous iteration of this coffee shop had closed, but didn't know a new one had already opened. My intrigue made me visit. As often as I've walked by this location, I've never been in. It's really cute and quaint inside, with brick walls in the front and about 6 tables and chairs. The rest of the space is narrow, but is mostly just for ordering and coffee/food prep for staff. I happily chatted away with the cashier as I ordered a cafe con leche. I sat in the cute space, drinking my very good coffee and talking with the cashier and one of the owners. It was lovely and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

The Stoop is a hole in the wall café located in Pigtown. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (very limited). There's also free Wi-Fi so you can do some work. I like how their syrups are categorized based on their flavors (fruity, nutty, floral, seasonal to name a few). The service was pretty fast given that it was not busy. There's limited street parking available.

Mostly good. The menu isnt obvious with pricing and that's annoying. But it's cute. But I wasn't thrilled when I had to pull a hair from between my teeth (??) when drinking my matcha. Not my fav way to start my morning.

My friend and I met up here to try a new business within our community. We shared a Danish and I also got a drink. It honestly was not my favorite but I will say customer service was nice, restaurant was clean, and I like that we could sit by the window and e hiy ourselves. I would try again

Exploring Pigtown and went to The Stoop to recharge. Had a piece of coffee cake and an Espresso. The Coffee and the food hit the spot nicely. A nice neighborhood coffee shop.

Cute neighborhood coffee shop in the middle of PigTown Main Street. Coffee was amazing, several tables to sit inside as well as outside. Quick and great service

Great location and so exciting to have a good coffee spot in this area! Small, cozy, and homey are the vibes here. Coffee, tea, fresh squeezed lemonade, baked goodies, and more- you can't go wrong here. Seating inside and small seating outside. Work , relax on a weekend, or come in for breakfast! Owners are so friendly and welcoming! You'll love it here!

Matriarch Coffee lived up to every bit of the hype -- and then some…read more I'd been hearing about Matriarch Coffee for a while from friends near me in the DMV, and I finally made the drive up to Baltimore to see what all the hype was about. Short answer: absolutely worth it!Long answer: I'm already thinking about my next excuse to come back. Walking in, the space immediately delivers. The aesthetic is awesome-- the kind of intentional, beautifully designed interior that feels warm and curated rather than staged. It's trendy without being cold, and the Inner Harbor location makes it that much more special. I know there is a huge renovation planned "down the harbor" , this Matriarch is ALREADY READY! You get all the energy of the waterfront with a cozy, tucked-in feel once you're inside. Now, the coffee. I got a latte that was genuinely one of the better cups I've had in a long time -- smooth, rich, perfectly pulled. I also had a Chai and paired it with a cherry & cheese danish that was fresh and delicious, the ideal complement to the drink. I asked for it heated and it was hot all the way through. Hate it when I get it and it is cold in the middle...the barista understood the assignment and got us right! Everything felt thoughtful, like someone in that kitchen actually cares about what they're putting out -- because they do. Speaking of which -- I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and it all made sense. Warm, passionate, and clearly proud of what they've built. Shirts, cups, napkins, and merch that says "I love my Matriarch" is a reminder of the "Why" behind this spot I think. That kind of energy flows through the entire space and staff. You feel it the moment you walk in. The Matriarch isn't just a coffee shop. It's a destination. If you're in Baltimore, this is a must. If you're outside the city -- make the drive. Trust me. See you soon, Matriarch!

We had the matcha latte, and a menu special: solar eclipse which was chai with expresso macadamia nut milk and lavender syrup. Matcha was good flavor and quality. The drink special I pass, I gave it a fair try but it didn't taste good- there was a very acidic taste at the end. My first time in was after calling to see if they had gift cards, went without an answer . So I went there and nope. Waisted my time going there.

Friendly staff and fast service. You cannot reserve ahead but my boyfriend and I were seated immediately because they had a table which just opened for 2. Not sure of the wait time outside of this experience. The decor is very 80s rock coded with a few movie classics along the way. I loved some of the artwork and every detail that they put into designing this place. Coffee: brewed nice and strong Stars of the food show: Sweet Baby Jesus: A burst of sweet and savory crab chunks sprinkled with old bay in every bite. The tomatoes were a refreshing break as your taste buds were recuperating from all of the savory melted cheese, hollandaise sauce, crispy hash browns, and delicious eggs. It's large enough to share but toooo good to want to share lol I thoroughly enjoyed this. Captain Crunch French Toast: This was the BEST French toast I've ever had. It's layers of goodness starting with fresh fruits on the top (blackberries, strawberries, and green apples). Next, fresh whipped cream. Then you move on to the perfectly crusted French toast and the captain crunch pieces sprinkled throughout the plate. I didn't need any syrup at all because it was sweet enough. But this was an amazing dish! My boyfriend and I did share this because it was shareable and we both wanted to indulge in it while enjoying our individual meals. I'm immediately planning our next visit to this place-definitely worth it.

Golden Texas toast topped with a dose of nostalgia, the infamous Captain Crunch Cereal toasted to perfection, and topped with fresh fruit and cream. No wonder it's widely known as a signature menu item and a true Baltimore staple. I mean, it's called a must-order for locals and visitors for a reason. Trust me, when you order it, after your first bite, you'll understand why. Ambiance From the moment you walk in, the vibe is eclectic and lively, setting the tone for a brunch that's anything but basic. Parking Pure Hell! It's metered street parking. Good luck finding something close and not near the harbor.

It does get busy, but they're very organized and communicate wait times right away, which makes a big difference. Now the food: Donuts: SO good--soft, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. Cheesecake: A little on the firmer side rather than super creamy, but still tasty. Margherita pizza: Great flavor (9/10). Personally I'd love a bit more cheese, and it's on the thinner side, but for the price and portion, it's still a solid choice. Pulled pork special: 10/10--absolutely delicious. Fried pickles: 9/10--slightly salty for some, but definitely worth trying. We dined in and also did takeout on two different days, and both experiences were consistently great.
