Affogatto is a cat cafe in Fells Point that's been open for a while but I hadn't had a chance to visit yet, but friend and I visited last weekend and had a good time! The decor was happy surprise - 70s vibes with cats everywhere! I've been to a few cat cafes, and they're all a little bit different! Affogatto is on the smaller side. You walk into the cafe area - coffee bar and a few two-top tables (there are a couple of tables outside as well, but it's definitely not a large cafe). Then there's one other room, a small one, where the cats are. I didn't get a coffee during our visit, but my friend did (she enjoyed her latte; I found it interesting that their syrups for lattes are self-service?). Visits to the cat room are in 30-minute segments. Because the cat room is so small, you and whoever else purchased a visit for your same time slot will probably sit right down on the floor to play with the kittens. When we visited, there were about eight kittens - and they were kittens! They were playful and funny. Compared to other cat cafes, it was definitely a smaller space. They also had fewer toys to play with. But since the cats were kittens, they were pretty great at entertaining themselves and us. But if you want a more leisurely experience where you can play with and pet some kittens and adult cats, you might want to check out a larger cat cafe with more space. However, any cat cafe is likely to be great - who can complain about any chance to meet, socialize, and play with adoptable cats and kittens?! Affogatto is a great little business, and I hope they stick around to continue helping Baltimore cats and kittens find good homes!

Loves itttt! I booked the 5pm time slot and it was worth it. You get about 25 mins with the cats and it's so clean and friendly in here. The cats are very sweet but make sure to respect their boundaries! I got some affogato and enjoyed the ambiance after my session. Make sure adopt one of these little sweet hearts if you have room at home.

Affogatto has coffee and cats (gatto), as described on their website: "we're an italian-style neighborhood cafe serving local espresso, tea, snacks, cat-approved goods, and appointments to hang out with adoptable rescue kittens" "Please do not bring animals inside affogatto for the safety, health, and comfort of our kittens and guests, and out of fairness to all guests. Guests with animal companions are welcome to enjoy our seasonal outdoor seating. We appreciate your understanding! Please note that our cafe unfortunately isn't ADA accessible. We'd love to offer that to our community once we have the funds to renovate our historic building." They are located on the corner of S Wolfe St. and Fleet St. There is a cafe inside, "We offer a traditional Italian espresso menu along with premium tea, pastry, sandwiches, and other goodies inspired by the Mediterranean region. In the spirit of Italian cuisine, we use the purest ingredients we can find to celebrate their flavors. We want you to taste the rich dark chocolate in our mocha, the cream in our whole milk, the freshness of the tomato, basil, and mozzarella in our caprese sandwich, and so on. No added sugars, preservatives, or anything like that -- all for the best experience possible." I've tried the Iced Mocha and it's really good, perfectly described above. Made fresh, with simple and clean flavors, no fuss or filler. They also sell some cat toys and books about cats around the seating area before you get to the room with the kittles. Some of these book titles are hilarious! Affogatto was started in 2024 by Tony. He helps facilitates the cat interactions. To interact with the kit-cats you can make an appointment (25 minutes for $10) online: https://www.affogatto.com/ and I've been here a few times for the appointments and it's always such a chill time :) You can tell that the kit-cats are well cared for. They are living their best "cat mojo". Very active and are not afraid to chase after a cat toy. The area where you interact with the cats is very clean and tidy. There are places for the cats to scratch on scratchers, lay around in beds, wall mounted shelves and perches for them to climb along, a running water fountain for them to drink water, and a litter box. Each time I come here, there are new kit-cats and that warms my heart... because it means the previous kitties have been adopted to good homes :) I have 2 boy cats that I left at home with my parents when I moved, and I miss them a lot. Coming here is low key therapeutic for me as I get some furs time. The yummy, caffeinated beverage selection also helps :) If you have some time, stop by. Get a beverage, make an appointment to meet some cute kit-cats. You might even find yourself a fur-ever companion :D

Coffee and cats! Say less! You can book a paid session to hang with the cats in the back or you can be allergic (like me) and take a free seat by the window and watch from afar with a coffee in your hand. I obviously got the affogato which comes with your choice of Taharka brothers flavored ice cream. I got pistachio and it was delish! Also free street parking is plentiful if you stay under 2 hours.

Baltimore just got way cuter! @affogatto_baltimore is, the city's very first cat café, nestled in the heart of Fells Point! This cozy, beautifully curated space is everything you'd hope for: a cat lounge where you can cuddle, play, and even adopt the sweetest kittens (future fur friends, plus a full café with coffee, tea, and an amazing pastry menu sourced from local fave @ovenbird_bakery. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to work (yes, there's WiFi and comfy seating) or just want to sip a latte while surrounded by cats, this place delivers good vibes in every detail -- including a disco ball in the bathroom It's thoughtful, it's joyful, it's Baltimore magic. I'm so happy to see this gem in the neighborhood. Service is fairly quick, and has been great each time I have gone, which is a bunch of times at this point! Be sure to stop by and show them some love! Address: 600 S Wolfe St, Baltimore, MD 21231

I had an absolute blast at Affogatto. I went with a friend and it was both of our first time at a cat cafe, and we were NOT disappointed. We were lucky to walk in and get time booked to see the kittens - definitely recommend booking online in advance if you can! I just had coffee but my friend was very pleased with their cold cut sandwich. It was decent sized and tasty! The shop itself is relatively small, but it's well managed and the flow works for the space. If you love cats and are looking for a fun time, I highly recommend a visit to Affogatto! You will not be disappointed!

This place has my heart! For one it's the place I was able to meet, apply, and ultimately after careful consideration adopt my first cat :) Their drinks are superb- each crafted with so much care, flavor, and balance. Baristas are always cere kind and the ambiance is disco, retro, and ofc cat inspired. The cat cafe sessions are a MUST and the staff do a great job making sure the kitties get breaks too. Love this place!! Worth visiting if you're in town.

Not a fan of this place. The staff was rude. I highly doubt I would visit in the future.

I cannot say a single bad thing about this cafe. The coffee was great, the pastries were great (they come from Ovenbird), the staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and they let you play with kittens for $10. You have to reserve cat time online and prepay, so make sure you do that before you go.

Great lighting and a legit coffee shop.

Let's pretend that you don't like cats, you should still come here because the coffee and pastries are delicious. Now let's be serious, everyone loves cats and if you do, this is a great place to really indulge in playing with kittens. The staff is friendly and the ambience is filled with local craft maker items, cat paraphernalia, and all around positive vibes.

Great menu and serving Ovenbird Bakery pastries

A cute cafe in Fells Point. There's a separate room to enjoy the company of the cats that is separate from the food service area. They've got a diverse menu and were serving Ovenbird Bakery pasties. I got an iced mocha with oatmilk and it was flavorful and not too sweet! A great place to enjoy cat company and grab a pastry and drink!

A woman sitting on the floor, some cats are nearby.

Everything was fantastic! The food was amazing. The staff lovely. And the kittens adorable! The place was charming.

OMG THIS IS A CAT CAFE AND IT IS SO CUTE AHH! The cafe is tidy and well organized, with small seating and tables in the front of the cafe, and a wider space in the back accommodated with cozy lounging and a big window to oversee the kittens. You have to make a reservation to enter the space with the kittens, but nonetheless you can enjoy the adorable view from the front of the cafe. There is a restroom in the cafe, and it is quite disco like! The service for our coffee and tea was smooth and fast :) I'd recommend anyone to come check out this cute!

Going to a cat cafe…read morehas been on my bucket list for quite some time, probably since I moved to Philadelphia back in 2022/2023. I didn't knkw that this was a thing until I had gotten there. After living in Philly and trekking my way down to Virginia, I learned about Crumbs and Whiskers in DC and Mount Purrnon (play on words for Mount Vernon) and man this did not disappoint. It is a well run operation. It has been awhile since I have been there so I am going off of my memory from 2023/2024, but you had to take this stairs down to a lower level basement area where you were let in by appointment time. The place was pretty packed. There were cats all around climbing the walls, sitting in people's laps relaxing, hanging out in this little plastic basins. I felt so fortunate that I was able to participate in this or even discovered it. The directions were pretty straight forward. You have to be mindful of your belongings though and move your shoes in a cubby hole. Some cats are friendlier than others. They all had cute namesI even got to chat with some folks. I went by myself as I have no shame and don't wait around for others or need other people in my life to do fun things that make me happy. I like solo dates lol but it was nice getting to see how much joy cats and kittens bring to people of all ages from all walks of life. I felt honored when some cats slowly made their way towards me. One even proceeded to sit in my lap in the clear basin bowl and curled up into a little ball and fell asleep on me lol The neat part or perk is that staff will come around and take pix of you on a polaroid instant camera to capture the memory for you. I still to this day have my polaroid back of the little grey kitten and me. If I was ever in DC again, I would definitely go back. It was an entirely different experience and a bit more crowded as it's popular, than Mount Purrnon in Alexandria, VA but it was so cutely decorated with the black/pink aesthetic. I even went home woth a souvenir mug:)

We were there for an hour and had to reserve our spots online. We had a really nice time! They have you sign a waiver and they take you to the back room where you enter and there was a bunch of cats with all different personalities all up for adoption too! Vibes were 10/10 in there. They had the music channel on and some couches in there, some cats were more sleepy, some were super playful. Either way we were so happy to just be in the presence of them haha. They definitely do kick you out exactly once that hour is up, and the only "negative" thing about this place is the staff do have an odd energy about them. They seemed pretty cold and not very welcoming, and got a tad snippity when i was reading the info on one of the cats in the lobby telling me to leave her alone because shes eating, mind you i was over 4 feet from her crate and this cat was paying me no mind and vice versa. I chalked this up to them simply advocating for the cats in their care, so atleast it could be seen as a good thing‍ Also they had a cute little shop in the front! overall i do reccomend it! We'll definitely be back:)
