The cats and the service once you are in the cafe are fine. If you are trying to CONTACT or get someone to CALL YOU BACK, you are out of luck. They never pick up the phone, they never returned our (5) calls, or our (3) voice mail messages. We paid in advance (booked on the site) and they charged us for a missed visit, would have been our second time there, rather than return a call or reschedule. We were at an emergency vet visit with one of our pets. There is no WAY you are too busy to call us back. ALSO, on our first visit we saw that they sold drinks in the lobby, but that you can't eat or drink among the cats. So it's really not as much a cat cafe as it is a kitten wonderland. My time at Meows Corner was so fun! My soul almost left my body when I realized the large Savannah cat mix under the cat tree was real, but it was also really friendly! One item they have that I have not seen at other cat cafes is a catalog of the cats available in the cat room so you can get to know them more while you play with them. They had a variety of ages and temperaments of cats available as well as plenty of toys. The appointments were timely and there are also drinks and snack items available for purchase. We had a reservation for 5 of us. Check in was quick. Germ squirt & masks we there only requirement. They give a quick guideline of let sleeping cats sleep, don't bother cats in the litter box, and if a cat is aggressive toward you just leave it alone. They do have a Savannah. It is not for adoption, think of him more like an ambassador. The girl I spoke thought he was an L3 for those who are familiar with the breed. They have treats you can buy for the cats. I think that is where the cafe part comes. They do have drinks in a fridge to buy, but not cafe style like coffee and tea. Walk ins are welcome, but groups should have reservations. The cost is based on how long you are there for. 15 mins up to 2 hours. I don't believe they allow more than 7 people in the room. There are two books for you to peruse. The environment is inviting, playful, calm and fun. The cats have plenty of toys, places to hide and get comfy. They also serve coffee, snacks and cat gifts. It is a great place to go if you are considering adoption or if you want to make sure you get a social/ cat friendly kitty. They also have different payments for different lengths of time. The cats at Meows Corner are VERY cute, don't get me wrong. My friend and I came here with a Groupon - 60 minutes with coffee for two! The woman I talked to on the phone the other day, to make my reservation, was really nice. So when I came in today I was shocked by how rude the staff was to us. The woman who greeted us when we came in was immediately snarky with us, and was sassy about the fact that we hadn't filled out waivers beforehand. I told her that I hadn't been told to fill out a waiver, and she snapped that she had no idea who would've told us that. The rest of the staff - who were in the play room during our time - barely said a word to us the whole time. They also don't have coffee? It's a weird thing to advertise coffee on a Groupon when they only had some canned/bottled sodas and iced teas to pick from. As far as COVID procedures go, it was great. They require hand sanitizer use and masks and only allow 6 people in at a time, by reservation. Everything was very socially distant and safe. The kittens are really cute, but not very socialized. This makes sense since they're rescues waiting to be adopted, and if you're lucky, a few cats will warm up to you after some time and let you play with them. I had a good time once a couple of the cats, Edgar and Stumpy, got comfortable and played with me. All the cats are very cute and calm! The space itself is very cute and nicely decorated. read more

Wonderful place to visit adoptable cats of all ages. I have mild pet allergies but the place was so clean I had no issues at all. I drove by this place yesterday to check it out because my 3.5 year old has been asking me to play with a kitty. Sign clearly said walk in all ages. That is completely false! We went there today and when we got there we were told that I don't understand what "all ages" means. Apparently all ages means over 6y.o. My son was crying as we were turned away by a rude lady that obviously showed no compassion. Once my husband got my crying child outside I gave her the bird. She deserved it! I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I understand rules are rules but if you are displaying false information at least seem remorseful when you turn a child away. Response to Dina A. Obviously your sign says "walk in" "30 min" "all ages". It implies that you can walk in without a reservation for 30 min for ALL AGES. What is stated lower is 60 min with age restrictions. Your staff was the exact opposite of accommodating. I offered to bring my child back a few min before closing, I offered to come back during walk in hours. That Lady you have representing your business with a smirk on her face seeing my child in obvious distress could care less about your clients and she deserved everything I said to her. There is only so far you can press someone until you get back what you put out. "I'm sorry you don't understand the sign" is not the same as "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding" or "miscommunication" She could of figured out a way not to ruin a 3 year olds day but I guess once your schedule is booked individual clients don't mean as much anymore. My wife and I had a nice visit. There were a few more kids than we expected, and the cats seemed a little bit tired of people when we came in, but we do plan to go back. We will just look for a less busy time. The one kid who was wandering from cat to cat, bugging each one in turn really wasn't helping. If the staff had taken a little more control, I think everyone else would have had a better experience, as the cats all were in retreat as she annoyed each one. My review is more of a 3.5, but I am giving the benefit of the doubt, as that one kid put a damper on the whole thing. My kids had a lovely time with the cats, there were about a dozen of them when we visited. The felines look clean and we'll taken care of and friendly. I didn't try any of the food, but the decor is cute and inviting. I liked that there was a young boy who was part of the staff, the kid was very gentle with the cats and seemed to genuinely care for them. I recommend everyone try this place at least once - you never know how much you need something until you do it for the first time. All in all, it is a wonderful place to unwind! The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the cats themselves are wonderful to be around. The actual cafe is comfortable and very clean despite having 6-7 cats inside! The cats (not sure if all, but most of them) are up for adoption as well! This is truly a great way to get to know/love a cat before you adopt it. My boyfriend brought me here today for a surprise visit, and it was an awesome experience since I LOVE cats and can't have my own. Even he fell in love with cats and insists on coming back TOMORROW lol. First, the prices are pretty fair! It was $30 TOTAL for 2 people for 1 hour. There were 6 cats and one kitten, all of them very friendly. Some were playful, others more chill and sleepy in the corners, but they were all soooo soft and appreciative of head scratches. They were in good care with plentiful food, water, toys, scratch posts, chairs, and a few litter boxes. I have mild cat allergies but being in the cat room for an hour didn't really stir up anything! Probably because the place was very clean and well ventilated. Since my boyfriend has now been converted to cats, we will definitely be returning :) It'd be nice, however, if these guys offered weekly passes or something, since we'll be coming back frequently! read more

Fabulous cat cafe. Fun place to visit! My husband and I went to Meow's Corner a few months ago to seek a cat to adopt. The staff was most welcoming and helpful. The café itself is very clean, attractive, and well-organized. Nothing has been overlooked. Great care has been taken to make the café comfortable and appealing, both to its patrons and for the cats, with plenty of well-spaced seating and lots of toys, cat trees, etc. The cats are obviously well-cared for and loved. They are very comfortable with each other and with visitors. Binders with detailed information on each cat's cat's history, personality, health information, etc., are provided for review. BTW, all cats are examined by a vet and tested for feline HIV and leukemia, and the results are included in their write-ups. With the help of the fabulous staff, Lisa in particular, we adopted a wonderful tabby, who has become a welcome and beloved addition to our family. read more

This is a wonderful place! The staff are kind, well-organized and the atmosphere both playful and serene. We knew we were looking to adopt, but they have such adorable cats, it was hard to pick just one. The process moved so fast, but we were completely ready for a new addition. The interview process was informative and showed how much they genuinely care about their cats. During this time of COVID-19, it was also really important to us that they observed all the protocols. I can't say enough good things about them. If you live in the DMV and are wanting to adopt, go see them. Even if you are just looking for a day of play, you can't go wrong. read more

Most of them were very sleepy but they were so precious and sweet. I wish I could adopt them all. What I LOVE about the concept of Meows Corner is that you can enjoy the company of many cats without any pressure to adopt. It's good for keeping the cats socialized & the nominal visit fee goes toward the worthy cause of getting exposure for the deserving cats who live there. It's AMAZING that the ladies who run Meows Corner are able to successfully integrate all these cats into a communal environment. I had a wonderful experience at Meows Corner! It's a nice place to check out at-least once. The girls at the front were very nice and welcoming, however it is very pricey and you're on a time limit. I can only hope the cost is going to a good cause. The cats in here are very sweet and will come to you if you buy a bag of treats. I am giving this place 3 stars just based on cost, time and cleanliness. I don't know how often they vacuum or lint roll their furniture, but it can't be very often. It's difficult to keep a place clean with a lot of animals, but I think it's important to have a well kept facility when trying to find furever homes for these cats. read more

Really lovely place with adorable cats to play with! I took my daughter here as we can not have a cat at home due to allergies. She had so much fun and is begging to go back. Everything was super clean, and there were people from the shelter they coordinate with. For kids, it's only $10 an hour- which is awesome. Great place to unwind and relax with the cutest cats! The staff is very friendly, the cafe is clean and bright and it is obvious that the well being of the cats is their #1 priority. While I was there, a family came in to pick up and take home two kittens that they had adopted. It was so wonderful to witness. A staff member took pictures and everything. This was my first time at Meow's corner and I was very impressed. They were practicing safe COVID procedures, they require people to use hand sanitizer before entering and they did a good job managing/limiting the amount of people interacting with the cats at the same time. The manager Lisa was awesome! My group and I had a lot of questions because we are looking to adopt and she was able to answer everything. The staff is kind and the cats are very calm. Don't get too attached to a certain cat though because as we learned, the cats get adopted quick and chances are the one you like has been adopted! All jokes aside, if any of the cats interest you make sure to ask if they're still available for adoption! The cat play area was very clean, to be honest it was spotless in my opinion. As other reviewers mentioned they will go over rules of behavior before you enter the play area. They have treats available for purchase in the front if you want to bribe the cats to show you some more love! We really enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure. read more

The front desk was run by two kids, service was not super professional, but they were very kind. The cats are not socialized well here and there aren't very many of them, maybe they will get more one day but it's a pretty small location. It's clean, well lit and nicely decorated though. Good location and nice to have a cat cafe option around Ashburn. I'd still rather drive to DC and pay more for crumbs and whiskers. The experience is more worthwhile there. Most of the cats came up to say hello and allowed us to love on them for a bit.
