There's nothing twisted about this amazing restaurant. In fact, it's terribly, ridiculously, fabulous. Indeed, Twist Fells Point will far exceed all preconceived notions or expectations, given the location on the block and the surrounding area. I've visited Baltimore, Maryland, several times, especially Fells Point. Fells Point leaves a lot to be desired, but because of its potential and sense of community, I return often, not to mention the fact that it's on the waterfront. That said, I've strolled down the streets of Fells Point many times and have passed Twist several times, but I've never been censored from going in. I must admit, I judged a book by its cover (surroundings) and assumed I would not have a good dining experience. Oh boy, was I wrong. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were extremely attentive and focused on creating the best dining experience for me and all customers. If you go, and I pray you due, know that it's a BYOB restaurant and just sitting in the restaurant will evoke conversation as you look around the room and find art and crafts that will leave you feeling nostalgic, that's if you can even keep your head for enjoying your meal. I recommend you try the Harbor Lingerie with shrimp and a Greek salad to start. Also, don't skip dessert because the Gelato is absolutely delicious and served with excellence. read more

Disappointed. I read reviews, but it did not come close to expectations. I got the chicken pesto Panini. The chicken was overcooked. The fries were good, but slightly greasy. My daughter got some steak Panini and didn't eat a third of it. Too much gristle. She didn't even bother getting a box to take it home for later. My son said his first bite of his steak was gristle as well, but the rest was OK. He wouldn't order it again. My wife enjoyed her steak salad though. The service was good. The ambience is very nice. I love this place! Everytime I'm in Baltimore, I love going here for brunch, and Fells Point is the perfect place for this to be at! The service is fantastic, they are always very attentive, friendly and this time we had a group reservation and they were very understanding of us being late when I called. I got a matcha to drink and the color and flavor was on point, and they included some cute animal crackers. The food is always tasty. I got the smoked salmon Benedict and it was delicious from a great presentation, to the hollandaise and capers on top, well made hash browns and add on of fruit. This was the perfect breakfast. Cute place for brunch in Fells with eclectic decor on the inside and Mediterranean blue outdoor seating. We ordered the Supreme burrito (comes with a small side salad and hash) and Lafayette's Street Salmon sandwich (comes with fries). Both were good but lacked seasoning/kick. The menu also advertised the salmon sandwich with arugula and focaccia, but it came out with spring mix and panini bread. Fresh ingredients in both dishes, very filling overall. Twist is a Mediterranean style restaurant that offers a BYOB brunch. They have few overpriced options for juice if you would like to make mimosas or cocktails. We ordered a pineapple juice pitcher($15) to go with our bottles we brought in. I ordered the breakfast burrito, it came with a side salad & potatoes. The food was satisfactory! Service was slow and poor. Yes it was busy, but, the amount of times we had to call for service was unacceptable. Our server brought a cooler to place our bottles in then we were forgotten about. Our server finally came and took our order with no machine or notepad. We were skeptical about our order being wrong, and SURPRISE, it was wrong. My boyfriend ordered the Twist Royale with pancakes but was brought French toast. We informed our server and Not only did he only bring ONE pancake back, he also took the French toast slice. What's the point of taking it back? It cannot be re-served so it would've gone in the trash anyway. He also never apologized for the inconvenience. -Beware of the $8 corkage fee per person for BYOB. -Parking can be rough especially on weekends. -Prices are high. For the last couple of visits, I've ordered their Salmon Scramble which I've really enjoyed. The portion is huge and there's plenty of salmon in the dish. Love love love this restaurant. Found awhile ago when searching for a condo to move to near the area. Now that we've moved here we return to this restaurant with friends all the time. Great selection of foods, always tasty, super service and it's less than a quarter mile from our condo! We bring our own wine, the corkage fee is very reasonable. Our preference is to sit outside as we are tall folks and inside can get a little cramped, but that wouldn't stop us from eating there if no outside tables were available. While reservations were easy online through Open Table, with lots of next day availability, I fear some of the prior reviews are misleading. After reading reviews I was excited to book a brunch here but was greatly disappointed with the food. (Service was great and attentive!) I left a half of the burrito on the plate, just not for me! The hash-browns needed salt but were okay. The best seasoned item on my plate was a side salad, thanks to the Mediterranean dressing which was delicious! I did eat all of that! It was not listed on the menu as a side item and was a welcome surprise. My daughter had the chicken and waffles and it looked like frozen, breaded chicken tenders they just reheated, again nothing to come back for. My best friend had the omelet with crab and toast. Everyone's food was just okay. No one finished all the food provided and no to-go boxes were requested. Service was very fast as food came out 15 min after ordering. I love this place for a casual Sunday brunch with friends. They don't sell alcohol but they do let you BYOB and charge a modest corkage fee. And they have some juices for mimosa/cocktail mixing as well as bottle chillers. Food: I have only had the breakfast food here and it has all been great! I've tried the waffle bites, steak and eggs, Moroccan breakfast casserole and salmon scramble. The steak temperature was incorrect once (I asked for medium rare and it was much closer to medium well) but the flavor was still delicious and they handled the issue very gracefully. Service: The owner and staff are all so welcoming and nice. I have always had excellent service. The first time I went, the owner even let me try the staff "family meal" (pasta pictured). Overall, we had a good experience. We had a late breakfast, so we decided to go for an early dinner and arrived at 5. We were the only people there the entire time. We were there at an off time, but it still felt weird. Despite this, the staff didn't hover oddly, so at least they didn't make it awkward. It was also neat that they cooked in that front area. However, I imagine the room getting very noisy on a busy night. We wanted to introduce our friend to Twist. We have always enjoyed coming here. Mouhcine and his mother, Sadia, have always welcomed us like family. We were disappointed that they were not in the restaurant that evening. We would have loved to have time to visit with them. We were sorry to hear that the back dining room was closed due to air conditioning problems as we really like dining there because it is quiet, as opposed to the front dining room that tends to be noisy. The front dining room was noisy mostly due to customers having to talk louder over the fans blowing. The air conditioning was better than the back dining room, but was still not up to par. My husband could not hear our friend sitting across the table. Our friend ordered a Twist Burger that had white cheddar cheese and applewood-smoked bacon and a side of mayonnaise. My husband and I both had the Mediterranean Lamb Burger with feta cheese, red onions, roasted tomatoes, and harissa cucumber yogurt sauce. The burgers came on toasted brioche bread and were served with fries. We all enjoyed our burgers. Another reason we like Twist is that they allow you to BYOB. I went to Twist in Fell's Point this past Saturday with some friends who were visiting from out of town. I had heard so many recommendations from people I know, so I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it ended up being pretty disappointing. We did have a reservation and were seated right away, which was nice. The place is small and cramped, but the decor is cute and it stays busy. That's really the only part of the experience that went smoothly. The service felt very off. There was a man with slicked black hair, who I think might have been the owner, hovering around the tables the entire time. He hovered around ours the most, and it didn't feel helpful. It felt awkward. Meanwhile, our actual server hardly checked on us. We waited around for basic things, and even though the food came out pretty quickly, everything else about the service was frustrating. At one point, we were still eating when someone just dropped the check on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. I actually wanted dessert, so that felt strange. Then when we were finally ready to pay, there was suddenly no one around. I was literally sitting there with my card out, looking for someone. On top of that, the man who kept hovering gave off this annoyed energy whenever I asked a question about the menu. It honestly felt like we were bothering him by being there. The food itself was also not great. Very average, and I didn't even finish mine because I didn't like it. Overall, the vibe was off, the service wasn't good, and the food didn't make up for it. So incredibly disappointed in this place. Food: fine, no true complaints. Service: eh. Being labeled "BYOB" we were charged $32 in uncorking fees (we had 2 bottles of wine). When I clarified the fees, I was notified that one individual in the party had opened 2 cans of beers which warranted an additional 2 charges of uncorking fees.... That the individual opened themselves.... So with $8 per bottle for the restaurant to "uncork", I wouldn't have brought anything. In addition to this fee, they charged a 20% tip. I have found my new go to place in Fells Point! I hadn't been in the neighborhood for a while, but I had business there on this cold, gray afternoon. Everything is just perfect. The staff is warm and welcoming. The decoration is quirky and fun. I ordered their Fells burger, which comes with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. The burger was really a cut above. Very good quality meat and really nice tomato, lettuce, and onions. It seems funny to talk about the quality of the basic fixings of a hamburger, but it's hard to get good tomatoes and onions nowadays. I also had mint tea and there were nice fresh leaves in the cup. Even the bathrooms are cutely done and impeccably maintained. The price is also really good. I got out of there for the same that I would pay at the local dive in my neighborhood for the same thing, except here it was 10 times more delicious and in a place that had a great ambience. Perfectly cooked poached eggs with jumbo lump Maryland crab meat topped on English muffins and dusted with old bay & hollandaise sauce. This masterpiece is served with hashbrowns. Happy! Except the English Muffins were barely cooked. The muffins were very soft and when you put the hot squishy items on them, I was looking to have the English Muffins cooked a little more but other than this small technicallity?
