I decided to stop in R House to get some food. I wanted something that was more on the fresh side so I decided to go with Koshary Corner. I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it. read more

I first tried Koshary Corner's small bites at a Yelp Elite and this was the first time ordering from them. I ordered a street bowl with white rice and chicken, and a side of pita. The food was ready pretty quickly. Everything tasted pretty good. The pita was warm and soft. The bowl was good also. The red pepper dressing and tzatziki brighten the taste of everything else. I tried Koshary Corner in Remington for the first time this weekend, and wow. So delicious! I ordered the koshary bowl with tzatziki, red pepper sauce, and pita on the side, and it was honestly one of the most delicious meals I've ever had in my life. The flavors were layered and balanced perfectly, the rice and broth were deeply savory, the tart red pepper sauce added nice spice, and the creamy garlic and tzatziki sauces tied everything together. The combination of garbanzo beans and lentils gave the dish such hearty texture, and the onions on top (I can't tell if they're sautéed or fried) were absolutely delightful lol. I've never had Egyptian food before, and this experience completely opened my eyes. The portion was large (I only made it through half) and every bite was amazing. I recently went to Koshary Corner at R House with some friends on a weekend and had a great experience! While it took a little while for the food to arrive, the food was delicious. My friends and I split the hummus bowl with Impossible Kebab. The hummus was creamy and had good flavor, spice, and texture, and the Impossible Kebab had good heft. I got the chicken musakhan bowl for my main dish. There was lots of well cooked, seasoned, and spiced chicken, complemented by the pita chips, yogurt, and herbs. My first review of 2025! I was here on Sunday, July 21, 2024 with my girlfriend. We had a couple of events going on in Baltimore City on that hot Sunday in July. A few years ago, my friend who used to live in Baltimore recommended the R House food hall. R House has a wide variety of different cuisines. I feel like I might've gotten tacos in the late 2010's but honestly don't remember, I just remembered this food hall as a viable option. There's limited parking but better than no parking and remembered I parked on the street, but in 2024 I was lucky to get a spot at lunchtime. I told my girlfriend we should eat at R House since it was on the way to where we were going and was a cool place. We both settled on Koshary Corner as a Mediterranean bowl sounded good that day where you build in what you want such as the generous portions of chick peas, meat, etc. It was great, maybe not the very best I've had but it was up there. The price was slightly more expensive than comparable bowls, but it was above average. I didn't love the ordering on the screen only as I had a couple of questions, but I figured it out ok with the screen. Also, the issue I have with businesses that do this is that you can't use cash, which I don't like; even though I was going to pay with credit, it's the principle of it. There was a bit of confusion on how the order was happening, but took maybe slightly longer than it should've for but got a text although my phone was on silent so I was a minute late. We sat in the middle area of R House. There's a water station in the bar area with courtesy cups which makes things easier as I generally drink water with meals. Overall, in spite of a few negatives, I'd come back to Koshary if I'm back at R House. read more

When they first opened I loved the food, but it has really gone downhill. The food has been pretty inconsistent and today was terrible. I ordered the protein salad with chicken, described as "Signature salad topped with your choice of protein, hummus, salata baladi (traditional salad onions tomatoes, parsley), pickled vegetables, tahini". I selected the "signature salad" option when choosing my greens, which is described as "tomatoes, arugula, onion, green and red cabbage, dill , mint and cilantro", I received shredded iceberg lettuce and some Sysco frozen crinkle cut carrots and cauliflower that were completely unseasoned. I make mine at home with quinoa and black beans too but the key is the sauces and those fried onions! Ask for extra onions. This place is great and has options for ya. I love the relaxed atmosphere of R. House in the Remington neighborhood. I did a lap (as always) and meandered over to Koshary Korner (KK) and was greeted by Jagadeesh, a young man with an amazing smile #goals (lol). He was pleasant, professional, and helpful. Good Customer Service nowadays truly is a lost art but Jagoosh, here, has it mastered, in spades. I had a few questions which were quickly answered and I was off to the races. I opted to try the: Falafel and Fava Salad (Bowl): This is Koshary's 'Signature salad' topped with fava beans, falafel and salata baladi + hummus, pickled vegetables vinaigrette, tahini and aleppo pepper. I opted for extra falafel. As you can see from the images, the vibrancy of this salad was very appealing/ attractive. It was an eyegasm, of sorts (yummm-o!!). I always begin eating with my eyes... and this salad bowl did NOT disappoint. The flavor explosion was exactly as expected. The fave beans, hummus, and tahini added a creamy element. The pickled carrots, beets, and onion gave a fresh earthy toothsome crunch. The falafels gave the salad good weight with good flavor. This was a very filling salad. It took me two days to finish the salad. YUMMMM-O!!! Sauces for salad: 1) Tahini; 2) Avocado Lime 3) Garlic. All had great flavor. Combined... DELISH! TRIPLE WORD SCORE!!! I love Greek food, and this was the perfect combo of all the healthy things I wanted while still tasting soo good. Some of the ingredients are unexpectedly very vinegary, but I still enjoyed nonetheless. This place was great! I get very overwhelmed at food halls but my friend recommended Koshary so I beelined over there. When I arrived I told the cashier it was my first time so I wasn't sure what to order and he recommended a few things, but I settled on the Egyptian Breakfast, which had a little bit of everything -- falafel, pita, potatoes, and a bunch of dips. Koshary has the BEST food in baltimore! I adore this place for their koshary bowls, their deciduous Egyptian falafel, their menu that caters to vegans with every food option, and their newly incorporated meat options as well! I think I've eaten every vegan dish on their menu and I finally got to try the chicken sandwich today. Not only was the chicken amazing but the fries are seasoned to perfection and the garlic sauce is the best thing to happen to my life. Not to be dramatic but I would have them cater my future wedding, their food is that good. And when Cleo the food truck comes to my work we all block our calendars off to ensure we get a bite to eat from Iman! Speaking of Iman, she's the owner of Koshary Corner and she is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. Every time I see her she has a huge smile on her face and I don't know what I would do without her. In the end, if you're looking for a new restaurant or dish to try, look no further than Koshary. The staff were so friendly and helpful in suggesting what to order. The Egyptian Breakfast was so much food!! My friend and I shared it as a meal, and we couldn't finish it. So I had lunch leftover for the next day. The hummus was so fresh and tasty. The pita bread was soft and warm. Falafels seemed a little over cooked, but they were still tasty. I was looking online and saw this place and it looked interesting so i went and checked it out. when i went there, i didn't know that it was a stall in a food hall that housed a variety of international cuisine including asian, central american, and african. When i first got there, the attendant wasn't there and there was no bell or ring to call them so i had to wait - it took about 15 minutes for them to come and by that time i had time to read the menu and decide what i want. i ordered the 3-dip mezze basket with roasted potatoes and a koshary bowl with tofu. the roasted potatoes and the harissa dip was excellent, the baba ghanoush and foul dip were decent. the koshary bowl was massive - huge portion with excellent flavor, lots of tasty ingredients, and overall excellent taste (i would get the fried onions on the side the next time though) everything is vegan or vegetarian so it was a great and tasty veggie lunch read more

I eat everything from the "rooter to the tooter" yet I was amazed on all of the plant based offerings, so I didn't have to miss out on the "meat" fix! They have everything from Beyond Kabobs to Vegan Chicken Shwarma. I do not do soy, so I was happy to see every menu item was labeled with items you may be concerned about. It's a fast casual bowl place in a food hall. Thus, it is unsurprisingly pricey and is assembled in front of your eyes. The options are many, but they are all plant-based, and while tofu is available, vegetarians have many ways to get their protein. The noodles atop their signature dish are gluten-free as well. I figured I'd try the namesake Koshary, which is a bean heavy dish with tomato sauce and fried onions. I got mine on quinoa, which was nice (though I wish I'd seen the option to split quinoa and salad). The onions seemed freshly fried, and combined with the spices in the tomato sauce made for a mouthwatering aroma, and a satisfying bowl that I devoured quickly. I don't know that a bowl such as this is worth a long trip, but if you're in the area, I do think it's worth a stop. When I first tried to get to this eatery, I was very confused at how to get there because I didn't realize it was in one of the buildings where I couldn't see it. So, don't make that mistake! After that, it's great. You walk in, and it's there. Ready for you go peruse the menu to your heart's content and try to just order 1 or 2 items for yourself and 1 or 2 for another person, etc. My attraction to this place was falafel and salad. Put them together, and you have one very happy diner. Their falafel is very flavorful and doesn't taste greasy - perfect! Add a nice dipping sauce to it, because I am picking it up with my fingers, and I am very happy. Mouth is happy with wonderful blend of herbs and spices and a nice crunchy on the outside texture and lovely interior. The potato wedges are also very well seasoned, and they are baked, so they're not deep fried and icky like that. The salads are my favorite - the summer had some lovely beet and arugula salad with some delicious dried fruit and pumpkin seeds and orange segments. Ahhh summer salads! Still, they have great salad choices like tofu quinoa or falafel (yes, please) and a few others - they even added a chicken shawarma, yesss! The sauces they add onto the food are the best flavoring - I can't imagine anything else. Some vinaigrette to balance things out, but the tahini sauces are so rich and earthy, I love it. The other dressings are good, too, but I'm a tahini fan first! I've tried soup here, but I'm picky about soup, and I'd rather have... yes, salad or falafel! So good, why stray from the deliciousness? As vegan fast casual options go this is the top bar to clear. I've gotten a koshary bowl a couple times now and a regular sized bowl usually lasts me personally for 2 meals. You pick a base (I did white rice and quinoa), an add on protein (I go with the vegan chicken shawarma pieces) and then you pick a sauce (tzatziki and garlic sauces are my go tos) Then they pile on the other toppings of 2 kinds of pasta, a tomato sauce, lentils, chickpeas and fried onions. Such a good meal. If I would eat in one sitting yeah it's very carby and I'd want a nap probably. But split over a couple meals it works out well to keep you full. Highly recommended! The pickled vegetables make this salad so uniquely flavored. The falafel is very good and, with the fava beans and humus, makes it very delicious and healthy.
