If you look to the right at the order counter, there are specials listed on a board with pictures. He said people really love the lamb and chicken over rice. I always order the same thing but I told him I will venture out of my safety zone and order it next time. He also now has take out menus under the counter. He still hasn't raised the prices and you get a killer meal for like $7.50. This included the tax! At first, I had my doubts about this area, but it well surpassed them. Finding food that tastes both authentically fresh and hot is really difficult. I'm with my coworkers, one of whom is a cuisine specialist. In Windsor, the majority of Afghan eateries have lost their "genuine" touch, which entails less spice and authenticity. We ate gyros and kabobs. We were incredibly happy with the servings and the fantastic meal. The kabobs are perfectly cooked and have the right amount of spices. King kabob is located in the security mall food court. It's right in the middle of where checkers and sarku japan are. The food is really good. I've only ever got lamb and chicken on rice and nothing else here so I'm not sure how the other food it. The lamb is the part though. The chicken is good but the lamb is so tender and flavorful compared to it. They give you any meat you want or a mix if you prefer and they put it on top of rice, a salad on the side and drench the whole thing in their amazing white sauce. If I have to be a little critical, I would say the rice needs to be better. I don't think it's very good here but for like $7-9 you do get a lot of food so I don't think it's that big a deal. You should definitely stop by if you are in the area or just shopping at the mall. One of the better food places in the mall. read more

I was looking for some MIddle Eastern food today and stumbled across the Yelp ratings for this place so decided to check it out. Food was GREAT! Seasoned, cooked perfectly, juicy meats, rice with the right amount of denseness, just freaking awesome! Got the Falafel wrap with fries, onion rings, lamb gyro with fries and a chicken and beef kabob platter. It was WAY too much food for two people. We usually love to get a wide array of things and believe me the price is beyond right for the amount of food that you get. I ended up eating the fries and O rings which were both still crispy by the time we got it home, and took at least a bite out of everything else and I can't say enough good things. Please keep these folks in business. Their prices are CHEAP and the food is really really good. It's in the mall which threw the BF off at first but he found it pretty quickly. read more

Okay, their food is good. No complaints about that. It would be better if I got the RIGHT order though. Over the last year and a half, there have been several occasions where I have been getting the wrong order. This only happens when I place a pick-up order over the phone with the same lady. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I ask for chicken over rice with a side of falafels, but end up getting falafel wraps or something that doesn't even have falafels. I have always been nice enough to never file a complaint. I am not that type of person. But when I decided to call the lady today and inform her that she once again gave me the wrong items, she said it was MY fault for not being clear enough. Mind you, every time I place an order with her, I have to repeat myself multiple times and then ask to speak to someone else (to no avail). This was the last straw. When I DO NOT place an order with her (I'm a regular), and usually order with one of the other employees, I get the RIGHT items and experience great customer service. First off the owner is amazing and an extremely nice guy and is really generous and sometimes gives extra food just because. Second the food is just wow the Chicken over Rice Platter is my personal favorite and is only 7 dollars and even comes with a drink! The gyro tasted good but I wouldn't say it beats the taste of downtown gyros. As for the chicken samosas, don't be deceived by its name... It's mostly potato and small chunks of chicken which you can barely taste. Their pricing on the menu for all of the items seem pretty reasonable though. I would say it's worth going to if you're in the mall shopping around and want to grab something real quick to eat that's halal. I've frequented this place a handful of times each year since they've first opened. I don't go often, but every time I do they're consistently good. I stayed away for a while due to the temptation of the naan and rice (I've been keto for over a year). But I went back today with intentions of getting no rice or naan this time! There was a new face at the register. He seemed a bit surprised by the dinner rush, but handled it very well in the end. I was happy to see the owner was still there, cooking in the back. I wanted a lamb gyro platter, no rice. The cashier smiled and said I could get the chicken salad from the menu with any meat of my choice. For a girl who's always gotten kabob or gyro with rice, talk about a revelation. Suffice to say I got the lamb gyro on a salad covered in white sauce and I ate half of it in my car before I left the parking lot. I had to reason with myself that it'd be nice to enjoy the rest in the comfort of my home. It was hard though... :) I'm moving to Texas soon, so I'm glad I dropped by. The owner has always been pleasant and usually remembers who I am even if I come once in a blue moon (that or he's some sort of psychic). I'm glad things are going well enough to keep him busy. The dishes I've had here (specifically the Lamb gyro) are some of the best I've ever had in my life. I make it a point to eat out no more than once a week, but I can't stop coming here! Their menu has a wider variety of American and Middle Eastern dishes, all masterfully prepared. I haven't had everything on the menu, but I haven't had anything I haven't liked! I particularly enjoy their lamb dishes. They're always soft, flavorful, and fresh. To top it off, the staff are all cordial to everyone who comes here.
