    BBQ Burger

The space is a bit small but the flavors are large. It's setup to be carryout for the most part. Our order was taken quickly and our food came out in about fifteen minutes. My brother ordered the burger topped with brisket and I ordered the burnet ends. My brother enjoyed the burger and stated it was well seasoned. The burnt ends were beautifully cooked and tender. The steamed vegetables that accompanied the dish were well seasoned and I nice addition to the richness of the meat. I also enjoyed the vinegary bite of the cole slaw.

Cool Halal restaurant with great prices! The service was great. The cashier told us his favorite items and gave recommendations. The food was very fresh and so were the beverages. We chose to dine in and it gave a typical carry out/ fast food dine in ambiance. The tables had to be wiped off but they did it pretty quickly. The buffalo wings had pieces of jalapeño and onions so if I were to get it again I'd ask for no onions

Smash burger w/ ketchup, mustard, grilled mushrooms, and cheese

Ok so boom; this is one of those places you constantly drive by but may not have had a chance to experience. So I said, let's change that today! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff at the register. Very friendly, she was. She gave me the menu and even shared what their most poplar items were currently. The restaurant is a nice size with plenty of parking! They had music playing and it appeared to be very clean. I ordered the smash burger less onions, jalapeños, and their house sauce. It was very tasty! It came with grilled mushrooms and I opted to add ketchup and mustard. The burger was a nice size and I was able to add fries and a canned soda for an additional $3.99. So my $9.99 burger was for the burger alone. Everything was hot and seasoned well. The burger had great flavor to it and they cooked it to my temperature request. The fries were nice and hot and had a little seasoning on them. Maybe Cajun but not at all spicy! The icing on the cake for me was a side of ketchup for my fries that was cold! I know everyone differs on this subject matter but I like cold ketchup once it's been opened so a simple but most appreciative pleasure. I would definitely visit again to try some of the other menu items!

Crispy Chicken Sandwich & French Fries

So I keep hearing about Addy's on Instagram & finally decided to stop in early one Saturday afternoon. It's in the shopping center next to the liquor store behind Chuck E. Cheese so parking wasn't an issue. Must've been a slow start to the day cause it was nobody in there at all but that's how I like it nice & quiet. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich & fries. Of course with it being empty my food came out really quick nice & hot. The chicken was really crispy & delicious, fries also cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. I'll have to give another update soon because it was a few other things on the menu that caught my attention so this review is to be continued

12 oz. BBQ Beef Ribs, Cornbread, Fried Onions
    Kymbaly W.

I really wanted to leave a better review but I couldn't. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and decided to order the beef ribs, the biggest size. The guy who took my order was very nice and let me know it'll be about 10 min. Which was not an issue for me. They have plenty of seating for individuals and families. I received my food and came home, it was still hot. So the ribs came with cornbread and fried onions. The onions weren't hot and crispy. Kinda tasted like they were previously fried and just sitting. The cornbread was not good at all. It's tasted like the pan it was cooked in. I don't know if that makes sense but it just wasn't good. It was dry and flavorless and like I said it had a pan like taste. Like they sprayed PAM in the pan beforehand and didn't use any type of butter. They should really rethink that recipe. The ribs themselves were just okay. They were tender but could use more seasoning on the meat itself. The barbecue sauce was good and when you got a good ratio of meat and sauce, the ribs were really good. But for the most part you could really taste that the meat itself did not have enough flavor. I'm not sure I would try the ribs again. I may try this place out again. I heard good things so I'll try something else on the menu. You should try it for yourself.

Cheese Quesadilla, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Mac N Cheese, rib sandwich
    Anthony A.

I drove two hours to visit Addy's Barbecue and it did not disappoint. I had mainly drive up to try the Mac n cheese which was a little on the cheesier side than I had expected but still good. I had the baby back rib sandwich which was a 9/10 very good.

    Mixed Mishkaki (Chicken and Shrimp)

OMG!!! Me and the kids went here today and LOVED it soooo much. We ordered the Beef Ribs, Brisket and mixed Mishkaki. No jokes, it was all extremely delicious. We will be going back very soon.

    Cheesesteak
    Anthony W.

I checked this place out after seeing a random social media post. In short, it's an American BBQ with a slight Halal twist. We tried the brisket cheesesteak, buffalo wings, and a regular cheesesteak. Our sandwiches came with fries. All of our food was flavorful, but I think I liked the regular cheesesteak better than the brisket version, but both were pretty good. I noticed that the BGE workers on lunch all had burgers that each one of them destroyed, so I think I'm going to come back for one of those.

    Short Rib Sub
    Tia J.

The cashier was really sweet, the food options were plentiful and they all looked so delicious, it was hard to choose. There were reels and reviews playing on the monitor which made it even more difficult but we tried the Short Rib sub with fries & coleslaw and the Burnt Ends platter which came with mixed vegetables and coleslaw. The coleslaw was a bit bland but everything else was delicious. There was jazz playing and low lighting, very relaxing but limited seating.

If you know me, you know I love finding low-key hidden gems, and this place definitely deserves more hype. My top favorites are the chicken katsu, macaroni salad, and the BBQ combination plate. The portions are generous, everything is flavorful, and somehow it always hits the spot no matter what I order. The macaroni salad is genuinely addicting, and the BBQ meats are always tender and well-seasoned. Another big plus: the food travels really well for takeout, which is a huge win for me. The only thing I'd say is the chicken katsu is best fresh since it loses some of its crispiness when reheated - but honestly, that just gives me an excuse to finish it in one sitting. The ambiance is casual, relaxed, and super welcoming. It's definitely not a date night spot, but more of a laid-back comfort food place where you can grab a satisfying meal with friends, family, or even solo after a long day. They also have a nice open seating area, and the customer service is always quick, friendly, and efficient. Overall, this is one of those reliable comfort spots I keep coming back to, especially when I'm craving a satisfying meal without spending a fortune.

This was pulled off their sandwich menu for combos with fries and a sweet tea. Pit beef was on my list of things to eat in Maryland. I originally wanted to check out another spot, but it wasn't convenient location wise. My friend suggested this one instead. He was the driver so I said it was fine without thinking much of it. Realized later this isn't actually the pit beef I read about and wanted, but it's a decent spot for a meat sando. All our meals came with a soup which was yummy. Kinda like chicken noodle / dumpling soup. That was actually my fav thing here. The pit beef was more like a roast beef sandwich which was fine. I actually enjoyed the brisket more. The bonfire bbq they describe like a sloppy joe. Tho I thought it wasn't as saucy and messy. Not exactly what I was expecting sandwich wise, but I was nicely surprised by their complimentary soup. Upon entering, I thought it was an interesting setup because I assumed that this spot was a restaurant/(dive)bar. Turns out it is a restaurant in a liquor store...or maybe it's a liquor store in a restaurant. I'll admit that this misunderstanding was on me. Someone suggested the restaurant, and I did not do any follow-up research. Although the restaurant is connected to a liquor store, you cannot consume alcohol inside. But, I guess that was not a deal breaker because I was more interested in some good ol' BBQ. At the counter, I started to look over the menu because there were quite a lot of interesting items. They have a long list of various BBQ/meat items and a bunch of sides. For my dining pleasure, I went with the two meat (general BBQ and sausage), two sides combo (greens and mac n cheese), which was about 18 bucks. The price for the amount of food wasn't too bad. To be frank the food was not what I expected. Ok, the food was not horrible, but I think that I might have set my expectations too high. Normally, when I think of Texas BBQ, I think of meat that is slowly cooked so that it's very tender. The meat here seemed like it was cooked on a grill and mixed with BBQ sauce immediately prior to serving. To me, the meat was a bit tougher than what I have normally experienced in most BBQ restaurants. Perhaps, the restaurant was having a bit of an off day during our visit.

They have a great 12-4pm lunch special on weekdays, two-hours of grill-it-yourself All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ or Hot Pot (pho-like soup) for $21, (less for kids). Arriving about 12:15pm, we were seated by the alert host with no wait. I think they could fit around 40 in booths for 4 to 6. There's a whole other area further in for maybe 50 more, with some tables for large groups. The room was lively with conversation and music. We were immediately greeted by our attentive friendly fun server, Mahlah, who explained it all to us: menu choices and pricing, the wireless ordering-tablet, techniques for grilling, and the buffet appetizers and desserts. She lit the grill that is built into our table, and took our first order so we could start in as soon as we got back from the buffet. At the buffet we filled a dish with nicely-fiery flavorful kimchee and a similar spicy mix with tofu. We got lettuce, carrot shreds, and fresh tomato chunks. Warm sesame-covered mochi-rice balls, lightly sweet and fresh with a chewy inside. Fresh hot finger-thin 2-inch spring-rolls, crispy and flakey with a little bit of veggies inside. I got small hot flakey crispy rangoon triangles filled with cream cheese with just a little crab-flavor. I ate a couple to manage that spicy kimchee and tofu :-). They had fries and breaded shrimp and chicken wings, too. We filled smaller bowls with several of their dozen or more flavorful sauces, from a KPOT signature red sweet bbq sauce, to a pretty-spicy red sauce, to a bowl of soy-sauce to which we added chives and onions and garlic and jalapeños and such. All very tasty and fresh. The lunch-menu Korean BBQ offered a wide selection of meats and seafood and veg. Mahlah was always nearby, watchful for any requests, and brought our first course in mere minutes. The "spicy" bulgogi beef was cut in medium-thick slices, maybe 1/8-in thick, and it cooked quickly while staying very juicy and very tender. The prime brisket was cut in thicker slabs, maybe 1/4-in, and it was marbled enough for good juicy flavor and tender texture even on this hot grill. We used the scissors to size it down for eating. The beef-belly was very thinly sliced, paper-thin, and it cooked up in a flash, getting a a slight crust like a well-done Italian porchetta. That took some practice to cook without almost evaporating it! The trick? The table-grill is hottest in the middle, so cook delicate foods around the edge of the grill. We had tender chunks and strips of juicy marinated garlic-chicken breast, and tender juicy good-sized garlic-shrimp, which were both very easy to grill. We tried some thick slices and long tangles of squid, and they were tasty but we didn't really figure out how to keep them tender, so we cut them up into smaller pieces with the scissors and marinated them in soy sauce which really enhanced the slight char. We grilled sliced white onion, thin zucchini circles, chunks of fresh green peppers, thin tasty white oyster mushroom discs, and thicker chunks of peppers and portobello mushrooms. On we go! We ordered twice more. An order of the thicker cuts of pork-belly, which came out like fancy not-salty bacon. Bright-red "spicy" (not very spicy) sweet juicy white-fish fillets, which cooked fast! Sweet tender "Hawaiian" bulgogi, which we spiced up with sauce from the buffet. More of those tasty garlic-shrimp. Probably a few more items that I'm not remembering right now. For dessert we got some little chocolate ice cream and fruit-flavor sherbet cups from the freezer by the buffet, and chose tiny wooden spoons just for fun, instead of the available silverware. We got fresh fruit and a slice of light cake with a light creamy layer on top. Then Mahlah overheard one of us say "birthday"! She laughingly scolded us for not telling her sooner, quickly came back with a large wonderful slice of delicious super-light cheesecake with a candle, and happily sang Happy Birthday with us! It felt like another friend had joined us! Luckily, one who remembered the cake :-) We ate for nearly two hours, until we couldnt eat any more! It was so much fun, and we chattered happily the whole time as we were adding to the grill or serving or sneaking tastes along the way :-). We thoroughly enjoyed our tasty flavorful generous meal. KPOT is a great fun place for fresh grill-it-yourself foods. There's five more KPOTs within 45min and several more within an hour. I had no idea!
