Listen - this place was a random find for me and my best friend after leaving Charm City Links right down the street. Maddy, an employee there said the food here is great and she and I had time to kill before we went to a comedy show that evening. Parking first, was pretty easy. I think we lucked up for a Friday night, getting parking in front of the establishment, but it was perfect! When you arrive, I was honestly taken back by how small this place was. Small not in a bad way - they indeed, make good use of their space here - it's just not as deep back as I thought.& because of the size, the hostess at the front asked if we have reservations. We told him no but also, there were seats made available right at that time, so all worked out to sit and be served. We sat at the bar, used the handy purse hooks provided, and took a look at the menu. First of all, this place needs to be kept on the low - because they are truly just that good. Lamb chops (3 of them, cooked to your liking) AND french fries, $35? Are we serious? And the drinks? My goodness. I was empressed to see my total of that meal and 2 additional drinks, to bring me to $78. Loveddd this place. Loved our bartender. Loved the small, but family feel of this location. The next time I come to this area for another shopping or fun day, it'll be right on queue to go here! read more

I have been wanting to go to The Beaumont for a long time and for my birthday, I decided to treat myself to family to a celebration dinner and made reservations. It was early and midweek. When we arrived, there were 3 men sitting outside smoking cigars. It was a lot. The table we were seated at was near the front window and a couple of us could still really smell the cigars. I knew it would affect the enjoyment of our meal, so I asked to move. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant, it wasn't a big deal. The staff was not rude, but they weren't friendly. It was more like indifference, from the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. The food was mostly good. There were five of us so we had a lot and a variety of dishes. We enjoyed the lamb chops and the charcuterie board, among others. My steak was delicious--perfectly seared and seasoned to perfection. The crème brûlée was delicious, but my son was served a cheesecake slice with mold on it. We were pretty disappointed overall for a meal that cost over $500 for 5 and was on a special day. We won't be going back and we won't be recommending them. read more

Visited for the first time in a while at the request of a friend for dinner, ordered the Atlantic salmon and braised short rib. The food is usually pretty decent of a bit pricey but I was pretty disappointed in our salmon. It was overcooked to the point of being almost inedible. Didn't want to raise concerns because we were dining with a guest but did reach out via email after the fact and received no response. The short rib was pretty good and our server was attentive. I have enjoyed food here but I would highly suggest skipping the salmon. The Beaumont is a cozy fancy restaurant to grab a cocktail or something from the land. read more

This place surprised me and my hubby! We had few date nights and a holiday celebration with friends. They have great selection of drinks and high quality of food selection. Few times we sat at the bar and bartenders were so nice. Definitely try their steak and hand cut french fries. Fries are pretty addicting. I have been to The Beaumont before many times and it's usually good, this time it wasn't. I ordered the grilled oysters, which are normally the rockefeller style but these were champagne leeks. Let's just say the flavors did not mesh well together in my opinion. It sounded good but the taste was not pleasing and the ratio of leeks to bacon was visibly unappealing. I also got the cream of crab soup, the flavor was OK, more sherry than old bay/crab flavor. My soup also did not come out hot, which added to my displeasure. The best thing I had this particular visit was my drink, the spring fling! The service was good at the bar and the ambiance is normally pretty quaint. I will definitely go back but not anytime soon. read more

I have been to this restaurant before with a good gf for Happy Hour and the lobster tail was delicious. This is my first review of this restaurant since Yelping. This restaurant was selected for a couples date night after our spouses had a bet which we were the losing couple that had to treat for the meal. We had reservations however, when we arrived it was pretty packed. The bar was full. The hostess informed us that they were waiting for a few table to wrap up before we can be seated. The restaurant is very quaint so there is absolutely no waiting area for guest if your table is not ready. Reservations are recommended. Once seated, our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a red Sangria and the chefs special. The cream of crab soup was really good. The restaurant gives a true romantic vibe so it is perfect for great conversations and of course date nights. Parking is the area is primarily street parking with a small garage closely near by. I will definitely return read more

Perfect food, excellent service, and superb ambiance. It has been awhile since Ive been to a restaurant that checked ALL boxes. We walked out discussing when we would return - yes, it was THAT good. Savannah, our server, was perfectly attentive. The food was served at the perfect pace and was delicious. Lamb chop appetizer - cooked to perfection and thank you for whole, real chop!!! Ricotta and fig appetizer might have easily been dessert as well! Porterhouse also cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Mushroom ragu excellent as one of my sides and though I struggled to choose between the broccolini versus asparagus - they brought me both!! As I reflected on this absolutely perfect meal, the dessert absolutely stuck the landing: chocolate pistachio cake may well be one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. We celebrated my partner's 60th birthday and we expect to return for our anniversary. read more

Positive: the steak. Tender, prepared and seasoned well. Negatives: Service staff lacked knowledge of food and drink for the price-point of the restaurant. Food and drink was brought to the table without interaction from the staff. Stuffy and outdated space. Most confusing and off putting was the line of people outside allowed to drink alcohol from the bar (outside), smoke cigars (which you walked by on your way in) and allowed to come in and use the restroom, bringing the cigar smoke with them. If this was a bar, I would care less but that is not what this place claims to be. read more

I haven't had a world-class, "I'm thinking about you the day after" kinda dinner in so long! My goodness. The Beaumont, from the exterior, is unassuming. No frills. But, inside -- while small-- is quaint and exudes a simplistic, elegant decor with exposed cobblestone walls. Appetizers: We tried the deviled eggs and fried lobster tails. The deviled eggs were good, not bad. They were topped with jumbo lump crab meat and wasabi tobiko. The lobster tails though?! Perfectly cooked. So succulent and juicy -- absolutely nothing needs to be improved! Entrees: I had the jumbo lump crab cakes with roasted yukon gold potatoes and asparagus, while my dining companion had the 22 oz bone-in ribeye, served with potatoes and string beans. The lump crab cakes served up to the name -- L U M P and 5 oz each -- no filler! That's how you do it! The asparagus had a citrus butter flavor, and the potatoes were seasoned well too. This dish was $24. Now, bring in the ribeye. My mouth is actually salivating while typing this. It was so, so juicy. It came out hot with the right amount of char and flavor. Chef's kiss. This dish will run you $76. I mention the prices because Joe's in DC has always been my favorite for a good ribeye. The Beaumont has them defeated. TKO. RIP, Joe's. With the latter, you also pay for your sides a la carte. Now, I understand the difference in location which can impact pricing, but with that aside, The Beaumont still wins for me. The quality is there and so is the price point. Lastly, but certainly not least, Marcel. He was our table-side host. Marcel knows the restaurant (as he should), and recommended so many great dishes. He was personable, attentive and even entertained my Steph Curry comparisons. Top-notch customer service. Listen, people, if you stayed around to read this long review, then just make sure you visit! Paul was our bartender and he was very polite and great at making drinks. Smoked old fashion 2 thumbs up. We ordered chicken fried lobster tail as an appetizer and it was delish. If we could give feedback it would be that there was a couple at the bar arguing and cussing. Not appropriate in that setting. Too much profanity and just not necessary. We met other people at the bar and they were delightful and regulars. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant was clean and we would like to come back and eat dinner here. read more

Everything from the food to the service was great! The BBQ Lamb Chops ($26) was ridiculolsy good. We got them medium-rare and they were cooked just that way. The addition of the peach BBQ sauce really complimented the lamb. The Deviled Eggs ($12) had a good amount of lump crab meat on top and the wasabi gave it that perfect kick. The Grilled Octopus ($24) came with a Moroccan-inspired chickpeas and hummus. It was a different take on the grilled octopus dishes I've had before. The octopus was tender and well-seasoned. The Seafood Platter ($60) came with 2 mini crab cakes, shrimp, corn, sausages, and scallops. It was definitely a hearty meal, especially if you are seafood lover like me. For dessert, we got the cheesecake ($9). I don't normally like cheesecake, but I decided to try theirs, which had a honey goat cheese filling and pistachio crust. There was also a lemon curd and blueberry cabernet for a slight tartness that counteracted beautifully with the sweetness of the cake. The overall ambiance was very upscale and good quality food. Monday nights, their wine bottles are half off. We got a bottle of Alfred Gratien champagne, which is originally $80 for only $40. Retail it is about a $50-$60 bottle of wine. Our server, Rob G., was very attentive and kind to our table. read more

The food is delicious! I've been here a handful of times, once for brunch but mainly dinners. Everything I've had here has been so yummy. Came for lunch though with some girlfriends and we shared our dishes. We got the charcuterie board and fries to share first. The Brie and goat cheese on the charcuterie board were my favorite. We also got the deviled eggs which were phenomenal and we shared the salmon BLT and the steak sandwich. We also got the Beaumont burger which was nice and juicy. And the bbq lamb chops were a big hit! Highly recommend the mushrooms side and the creamed spinach as well! We got cocktails to start and our bar tender was great! Made a post graduation reservation here because of the reviews and am glad I did. Easy mid day metered street parking. Beautiful warm quaint upscale interior. The restaurant was full following a big high school graduation held at UMBC. Spoke with Erin the evening before to order a dessert surprise for the guest of honor. She told me about all of the dessert options and I chose the apple pie with icecream and caramel and whipped cream (the were a huge heap of it) which two in our party happily ate together! Elyssa who is a rising college senior is a great wait person. Calm, personable. Thank you. Most of us ordered the beef burger, hand cut fries and Brussels sprouts. It was all amazing and flavorful and well cooked. So delish! We ordered a second helping of Brussels. One guest wanted their burger well done and sent it back twice. What they really wanted was burnt to a crisp. It finally came out not pink and she ate it. Another person had the salmon blt and it looked good with a healthy sized piece of fish. The brioche buns were yummy. When I'm in the area again I will make it a point to return here to dine. read more

First time here, made reservations for 60th Birthday. Sat in "Diners Row". A long stretch of tables where you're within 2 ft of the next table. Don't care for this. Too close to next tables where you can hear conversation and touch their table. Small place. Need more room. Wine & Cocktail were great. Had the smoked Old Fashioned. Delicious. App was the Fried Green Tomatoes and recommended by server. Decent but wouldn't get again. Sauce was lacking. Asked for more sauce but it wasn't good. Server offered another app and then didn't say anything else & removed everything off the table. Entrees came out (Pork Rib Eye & Stuffed Trout). The Trout was ok. The Pork was nice size and cooked perfectly. However the sauce was smeared on, VERY salty and not very flavorful. When I mentioned this to the Server he rolled his eyes and smirked - walking away. Who does this ? Like he took it personally. Returned and removed the dish but didn't want anything else. I talked to the server in the back of the restaurant. I explained how offended I was with his reactions and smirk. His comment was "she doesn't like anything". WOW, well it wasn't good & she knows what she likes. She want being picky. Not a good way to treat your customers. Overall - Ambiance was decent - food subpar. Service disappointing. After a meal, I always ask would we go back ? ......NO Too many other places that are much better read more

Upscale dining featuring great food and bar menus. Service is attentive and friendly. This is where you go on special occasions.

BLUF: Steaks and entrees in downtown Catonsville in a fairly casual atmosphere for the price point. Beaumont's, located in downtown Catonsville, offers delicious steaks and plenty of other menu options but we were there for steak. If you are super serious about your beef, they offer a 60 oz. tomahawk cut from Chicago but I am not nearly that cool so I went with a 8 oz filet mignon and two sizes. There was a good variety of sides to chose from and I skipped right over the veggies and indulged in carb heaven with creamy mac and cheese and a hearty twice-baked potato. My filet mignon, paired with these sides, was around $60, but the portions were generous enough to feel like two meals. Our bartender and server, Jessica, made the evening even better with her friendly service and attentive care. On a quiet, snowy evening, we enjoyed the cozy, intimate ambiance and her undivided attention. Aside from the delicious steaks and awesome service, one of the highlights was the unique Beaumont pepper mill--a nearly three-foot-long contraption that more closely resembles a staircase newel post than a pepper grinder! It made for fun conversation to an already excellent experience. Seriously, how long is that peppermill? The Beaumont is located in downtown Catonsville and as far as I can tell they don't have their own lot out back. Since it was a snowy night we easily found parking out front on the street. Making reservations for our party of four was a breeze through OpenTable. A shout out to the local weather forecasters who forecasted something like six to nine inches of snow that evening. As a result, everyone stayed home and we nearly had the whole restaurant to ourselves. That made for an exception experience because it was a quiet, cozy dinner. I imagine the setting might get noisy on a busier night and perhaps even feel a little cramped. My group dressed business casual with a bit of glitz but the interior is fairly casual and I think wearing nice jeans would be ok. read more

Honestly until today I had no idea this place existed. I'm glad I know now. I got there at a good time and was able to find street parking no problem. Not many people inside but in my opinion, it should have been. I did my weirdo thing and asked for coffee for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when our server came back with a French press and a cup of creamer. We started with the fried green tomatoes. I'm not gonna lie, I have never seen corn on top but it was pretty good. Lightly fried with plenty of crab meat on top. Not the best I have ever had but certainly by far, not the worst. I had the lamb chops. They were a little pinker than my medium cook request but honestly, they were so delicious. My potatoes were perfect and the carrots hit the spot too. I was too full for dessert but I'll be back and have it next time. Happy to add this place to my list of places to meet my west side/county friends. read more

Hey this is a spot we're the "black kettle" used to be. All this time I thought it was that same old restaurant. Nope this one has much better quality. Food and service. There is no hh here so if you want to find a bit of piece during hh time this is the place. Do I got a lions tail. It was a pretty interesting drink with a nice kick. I would call these cocktails "fancy". And the food menu had me drooling but I just came for drinks today. I have my eye on a few things. It's a very intimate/mature setting. The Beaumont was a very nice experience! My friend made reservations on Open Table. We arrived at our scheduled time and were seated immediately. I ordered the deviled eggs & crab cakes. One of my homegirls got mussels, crab cakes and an espresso martini. Our server Rob was very nice and attentive! I'm a whiskey girl so an old fashion for me. Actually make that two. Very smooth and tasty so it will sneak up on you. The food was nothing short of amazing. The deviled eggs had crab meat on top. The crab cakes were 98% crab, 2% cake, as a crab cake should be. The brussel sprouts that came with were great too. The restaurant is cute, small, dimly lit. Definitely a place you can go for a date or a girls night. read more

Summary: a steakhouse on the main street of Catonsville, Beaumont offers items you might expect to find at a steakhouse alongside a pretty large list of drink offerings. The Beaumont comes off as kind of an upscale, but not like super upscale, steakhouse (if that makes any sense). The service feels formal/classy and the decor reflects a place that calls themselves "Beaumont." I came for a good steak and ordered the 14oz ny strip. It was cooked and seasoned well and the sides were also generous and tasty (crispy brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes). What I think impressed me the most out of my experience was the cocktails. They were prepared well and had a great balance in flavor. All in all, I thought the food was good, the drinks were great, and the experience overall was something that I would return to. read more

Overall: Good service, okay food, large portion sizes, typical steak house menu, ambiance wasn't anything special, with single stall gender inclusive restrooms (one has a changing table for kids) It's a small place tucked in downtown Catonsville. Nothing about the experience stood out to me from the ambiance to the service to the food. Everything was fine, but nothing I would go back for and for those prices I'd like at least some aspect of it to go above and beyond. They had a handful of cocktails, some beer and wine, but no listed mocktails. The serving sizes were huge. I really liked that you could choose any sides to go with your entree and you didn't just have to get the ones it was listed with on the menu. I got the special- a crab encrusted sea bass for $45. The crab crust tasted good but it completely overpowered the fish. The fish was cut super thickly and I felt like it wasn't cooked enough. Normally sea bass is so tender and falls apart with a fork, but I needed to use a steak knife to cut it and the fish tasted pretty tough and raw. I feel like the flavor is a lot better when it's cooked more or with a sous vide to get it even throughout when you have a cut that thick. The sauce on the dish was good. The two shrimp I had weren't deveined which was sad for these prices. read more

Had an awesome time at the Beaumont. Went early with reservations on a Wednesday evening, and it did fill up around the dinner rush, so would suggest making reservations. Restaurant was very nice inside and the service was good. We had an all appetizer shared dinner. If you like bread and cheese, this is your place. My fav app of the night was the parm and panko crusted burrata with pesto and crostinis. Soooo good!! The Brie toast was also delicious. And the complimentary rolls were quite notable as well! We also shared the shrimp and grit cake. That was good, on the spicy side. Deviled eggs were ok to me. Overall, was a very nice app dinner and would def return. read more

Went here for my birthday last night. We've been trying to go for sometime, but the weekends are rough for us and we aren't into big crowds. When we've passed The Beaumont on Friday or Saturday evening, it's been out the door. A Monday night seemed perfect! Had a cute table for two. Restaurant décor is darker the way you sort of expect a steakhouse to be. Mel was our server and he was EPIC! Honestly gave us time to peruse the menu between orders. We had two of their cocktails and a dessert martini and all were good and a nice size. Mel gave us some recommendations and told us the specials. We tried his recommendation of the fried green tomatoes which did not disappoint. They were crispy, covered with buttery roasted corn and a smattering of backfin crab. Totally a delight. For dinner, my husband ordered the Norwegian Salmon and I got the 20 oz ribeye steak. My husband's came with pineapple fried rice and asparagus. He didn't leave one bite. I ordered their mac and cheese along with roasted mushrooms. I also added Demi glacé for the sauce. The steak was so tender, it practically melted in your mouth! The sides were also very good! We added the chocolate cake with pistachio cream filling-I mean it is my birthday, and what is a birthday without CAKE(?!!) and it topped off our evening! Loved the vibe of the restaurant and enjoyed all the food. Nice to have a tablecloth restaurant so close to our home. We will dine there again soon! read more

We arrived about 6:30pm on a Thursday night. We got tired of waiting at the Italian place next door. After waiting almost an hour (nobody else waiting, just us), we gave up and got cranky and left. A full five stars. What a cute little place on the main drag in Catonsville. There is metered street parking but it's free during the week. It's a small place but very cozy. Anna was a great server! Started with drinks. Hubby got the smoked old fashioned. Bartenders are on their game with that one. Including ice with the B on it. And very clear ice. IYKYK. I had a Prosecco spritz. It was light and refreshing. We then proceed to have some of the best food. Hubby had the salmon. Had some spice to it but delicious. I had the scallops and they were the BEST over ever had. EVER. Our anarchist child had a side of mac and cheese. Hubby said that was great. For dessert I had the chocolate pistachio cake which was super chocolate but not heavy. Reservations are recommended as it got busy in there pretty quickly. It was easy to make one on Open Table. Not sure what it is about this area, but this is the third restaurant I ordered a steak "medium rare" and it came out closer to well-done. Ugh! What a way to ruin a steak...turning it into a form of leather. I ordered the filet and assumed I would get it at the right temperature here, especially since they even describe each different level of doneness on their menu. I am honestly not even sure the cut was a filet since it was not very thick and it looked and had the texture more like a sirloin. I did not mention my disappointment to the other two places that did the same thing (turned the steak into leather), but did decide to say something here. I did not eat the steak and showed it to them. It was medium to medium-well. They did give me a discount on the steak but honestly I would have preferred a nice cooked as requested, juicy steak. The two sides were nice, especially the Brussels sprouts. I tasted the crab cake but ended up taking it to go. I wasn't anticipating eating a vegetarian dinner tonight , but guess it is what it is. I believe they told me they were down a server that night so it really wasn't that great. I think the person tending the bar ended up taking my order and serving it. But that was all I saw of them and didn't have anyone checking in until I was done eating my veggies. I tried their key lime pie topped with pecans and pecan crust to only find the pecans were pistachios! Server let me know she confused pecans and pistachios all of the time. It wasn't the meal I was desiring, but it was still good none-the-less. Maybe I will have to give them another try in the future. read more
