1 word : Delightful! Overall 9/10. The chicken was very well seasoned which I'm not surprised. As soon as you exit your car the smell hits you in the parking lot. I wasn't sure what to expect inside but there are plenty of places to sit so there is no rush to leave once you get your food! read more

This is a great spot for a quick lunch. I ordered the roasted chicken, which comes with two sides--plantains and green beans. The chicken is slow-roasted and full of flavor, and the sides are served assembly-line style, so everything is ready in about a minute. The portions are generous, and the food tastes fresh and satisfying. They also offer cooked-to-order options like fried fish, steak, and shrimp if you're looking for something different. I'll definitely be back. read more

I just witness two female cooks eating fingers foods with their gloves on in the back where the grill was then they both proceeded to go back to cooking with changing their gloves. They continued cooked using the gloves they just touched their mouth with. Digging in food and placing it in the pot. EVERYONE steer clear of this place. read more

Lima is one of my go to spots when I am in Baltimore and feeling exhausted and too tired to cook. Their chicken is consistently seasoned the same. The side options are pretty standard and on par with others in this category. I have eaten here via takeout and doordash and nothing changes; however, the storefront has ample seating if you want to dine in and enjoy your meal. Overall, I think the pricing is decent and on par with the area. Make sure to get the white sauce, as it pairs great with chicken and the fries; and, it tends to be a hit with the kids, which is always a plus at the house for dinner. read more

Food is expensive but tastes great, but the portions have gone down TREMENDOUSLY. Also the rude guy with Mohawk who always has his arms crossed and eyes squinted, is sexist. He's rude to guys and is only willing to cater to women. When I came in with two of my friends (late 20s females) he strictly took both of their orders and completely ignored the fact I was there. When I asked why he acted like he didn't know when we were THE ONLY CUSTOMERS in line ordering. Like I said, food is great I wish you got more for how expensive it is. But as far as service this is not the first time this certain employee has done this. I only hope he's not there each time I go or hope I don't have to deal with him. read more

I visited this restaurant in the late evening near closing. The staff were friendly and had begun cleaning the store in preparation for closing. There was plenty of seating available for dining in. It was quiet and lit well, there were only 2 other patrons in the restaurant during my visit. My son enjoyed his steak tacos, they looked good. My daughter enjoyed her cheese steak although it looked small (I'm a native Philadelphian and may judge harshly ). My wife had a steak burrito bowl (sorry I forgot a pic) that she enjoyed and had enough to save half for lunch today. I had the 1/4 chicken with green beans and fried rice. I thought it was just ok. I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it, this visit was a middle of the road experience. My chicken was "blah" but I enjoyed the sides. I'll return in the future with the hope that I can update this review in more positive way. read more

This was a yummy tasting steak sandwich. I could tell that the steak flavor was enhanced with some Peruvian flavor which I thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing I'd change is perhaps the toppings. For some reason, the sandwich was soaked despite me eating it right away in the restaurant. I'm not a fan of "soggy" bread so I'll ask for my toppings on the side and see how that changes things. Otherwise, friendly staff and plenty of seating to enjoy your food. There are plenty of options on the menu so I'll definitely be back to try some of the chicken. read more

The food is here okay. It's very rewarding for the money spent so I can't complain too much. The rice isn't very good and sometimes it sits out too long. Honestly some of the sides sit out too long. Maybe from a lack of business. The chicken is worth getting and the main reason you should come here. I personally prefer going to Chicken Rico but sometimes I settle for this place if I'm close. I recommend the yellow sauce as it has a sweetness to it. The green sauce is spicy and I mostly put that on the rice or veggies to help it taste better. They will charge you if you ask for extra, read more

I placed an online pick-up order at 8:01pm on 11/5. Went to pick it up and had to wait almost an hour with no apology. The lady at the desk had an attitude and acted like it was a burden that we were coming to pick up our order an hour before they closed. I ordered a burrito, burrito bowl, chicken cheesesteak with fries and tres leches. The rice in the burrito and burrito bowl was stale and hard. All of the food was cold. I did not received the tres leches dessert at all which I didn't realize until I got home. I tried calling them at 8:51pm, it rang and rang and no one answered the phone and was hung up on when someone finally did pick up. I filled out their contact form online and will update this review if/when I hear back from someone. read more

Who doesn't know that charbroiled chicken is thee best? It's a no brained anytime you're craving grilled chicken. This is a favorite of ours when the wife and I don't feel like cooking. A whole chicken and two large sides feeds us pretty well. My wife prefers white meat so we get all white meat and the price doesn't jump tremendously. Everything taste as if it was marinated for hours because the flavors just mesh so well. I'm a big fan of the mixed veggies(zucchini, squash, carrots and broccoli) so I always order an extra side of that. Growing up, zucchini and squash were not on the list of vegetables I liked but Limas does such a great job with flavoring/seasoning that they are now my favorite veggies. The rice is packed with red/green peppers and onions and it taste delicious. Honestly it may be the standout dish of the meal. My kids always want extra rice with their meals and I can't blame them. So any time of the week is a great night to have Limas, don't feel like cooking? Limas. Out all day and need to grab something quick? Limas. Or you just want to feed your army something good? Limas. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. read more

I decided to visit here after my boyfriend recommended the chicken burritos. We visited on a Sunday around 2-3pm, the restaurant was somewhat empty with about 8-10 other customers, service was a bit slow. But we ordered a chicken burrito with guac which rung up to about $12. It's similar to chipotle/Qdoba style where you can choose what you would like on your burrito. Except it's kind of opposite, which is sorta weird. So you go up to cashier and order and pay, then you walk down and tell the server everything you want. Whereas, at other restaurants you pick what you want first then pay. It was weird because i ended up having to go back to the cashier to get charged for guac. I think the set up would be better if they let you pick what you want first then pay at the end. I ended up getting brown rice (similar to fried rice with peppers, super tasty), black beans, chicken, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, guac, yellow and green sauce. The burrito was delicious and huge, super flavorful because the chicken and rice were seasoned to perfection. Make sure you get the yellow sauce and if you like it spicy get the green sauce. The burrito was not assembled well, unfortunately, it definitely wasn't tight enough, by the time i got home, it was a shattered mess and i had to use a fork to eat it. I'll definitely come back and get a burrito bowl next time, not worth the hassle. They also have horchata too, which was pretty delicious as well. Not the best horchata I've had but pretty tasty. read more

On this first visit, the chicken wasn't as stand-out as old favorite Sardi's (found closer to DC) but the quality and value for a half-chicken plus two heaping sides (~$10) was solid. Chicken flavor and tender/moist was good. Sauces could use work (the green is the good stuff, the yellow tastes mainly of mayo). This was a surprising find hidden in one of the older, worn-out strip malls in the area. The restaurant feels new, with a clean, airy dining room and lots of seating. It's more than just pollo a la brasa, with a decent selection of Peruvian greatest hits, and some Americanized easy-eating food (tacos, burritos, rice bowls). Glad to have another option for Peruvian, closer to home. read more

RUDE EMPLOYEES: I just got hung up on three times by the same guy. Obviously he did not understand what I was saying. He passed me around to a different person multiple times and they understood me well but they passed me back to the rude employee who clearly had comprehension issues. Probably the guy behind the register. Instead of completing my order, he hung up on me. 3 times in a row. I called to speak to a manager to inform him. I hope he addresses this employee. The manager asked me if I wanted to order, but I was upset and clearly don't want these people handling my food at this point, as the manager didn't sound very pleasant either. Good luck with good service over at Limas Chicken Catonsville. I'm obviously eating someplace else tonight. read more

Oh Lima's how I have been waiting for you to open. I have watched in awe, as I have gone to the grocery store and gotten my nails done as you were being fixed up on the inside preparing for me. Finally, there you are! YES! Located in the same shopping center as the illustrious Aldi, the soon to be gone Babies R Us and the 5 Below, Lima's is a new fixture that sells pollo a la brasa, tacos, subs and the like. The interior is fairly large and welcoming, the staff are friendly. There are separate lines depending on what you choose to order, specials depending on need and a pretty decent selection of sides to pair with the chicken. Think rice and beans, fries, yuca...etc. A 1/4 white meat with two sides is less than eight bucks and it was a hella lot of food. The chicken wasn't too dry, and it was just tasty. I was trying to go light, so I had the mixed veggies, which were right up my alley, nice and crisp. The plantanos were sweet, some were a little too sweet for my liking. The only thing that I observed was that the food may have sat out for a bit, so if I return I would more than likely go a bit earlier. Oh and I will return, I have so much more food to try. read more

Bad customer service. Especially During Covid-19, it's important to acknowledge your customers. Those are the people who help keep you in business. Walked in and she was on her cell. Great Peruvian food. Very authentic! There's ample seating in the dining area and plenty of parking.

Finally tried out Lima's Chicken. Not bad at all! They (obviously) have solidly-seasoned rotisserie chicken which you can order whole, or in portions by the platter. You can get a reasonably-price meal (around $10 or less) for a quarter chicken and two sides and for a small upcharge can get half a chicken. In addition to their chicken, they have some Latino classics. My wife got lomo saltado (beef strips) and seemed to really enjoy it. The sides were also very tasty with their fried plantains and fried yucca. The steamed vegetables were standard, but good. Overall, Lima's did not disappoint. Worth a try. read more

Ok, HERE'S THE DEAL: Be fore warned that if you ever get stuck in a long line at the Krispy Kreme doughnuts in Catonsville, you will end up going to Lima Chicken because the smells that wafted from that place over to the drive-thru are simply too intoxicating to resist. Apparently... That being said, I'm going to start out by saying that I was disappointed in the service I received today. My biggest issue is that I did not get what I ordered! Me and the wife ordered two POLLO PARRILLERO ( 1/2 deboned chicken served with your choice of 2 sides). We both ordered rice and beans for one of our sides, I got coleslaw for my other side and she got the red potatoes. You can imagine our disappointment when neither of us got beans... Also we did not get half a deboned chicken. What we got appeared to be one chicken breast that was butterflied so it appeared bigger... you ain't foolin' me LIMA. OK, OK, OK... All that being said the food we got was absolutely freaking delicious. I got the cilantro rice and the wife got fried rice (and yes, they were both supposed to heave BEANS) and both had amazing flavor. The Peruvian chicken was delicious and charbroiled (though mine was just a tad tough, but the flavor made up for it). My coleslaw was creamy, cold, and delicious and I also tried her potatoes which were Yum Yum Yum!!! OK, and now a sidenote about the amazing sauces that come with the meal. Lima chicken provides customers with about a zillion (8 to be exact) of these little cups of sauces. 4 of them were a green traditional spicy sauce and 4 were a yellow creamy sauce. Both were fantastic individually and even better together! That being said, who thought it was a great idea to serve people 500 million little cups? Why Lima chicken, why? Just use two of the coleslaw cups and fill them halfway with each sauce. I'm just saying, this is not an environmentally friendly approach to sauce distribution. But the people need the sauce so we need Lima chicken to do better with the distribution end of things. Pretty please We will definitely be back, but next time I'm double checking my order! read more

Food: I ordered a Lima's Bowl with chicken and all toppings. Unfortunately, I was served cilantro rice picked up from the back kitchen (not the line) and it was undercooked and still crunchy., which I didn't notice until I got home to eat. Service: the staff was apathetic. Showed no interest in customers walking in or standing in line. I went for dinner take out, there were no more than 5 customers in the restaurant. I will not visit this location again. The Hanover location is friendlier and I've never had quality issues there. read more

This place has replaced chipotle for me. I get flavorful peruvian chicken and that ammaaazzinngg sauce all wrapped up in a burrito. And the other food is just as great. The fish with butter sauce is another great option. This place is big with ample seating and its bright. The only down side here is thay it seems to be in a dead zone. I couldn't get a signal to check in or write this review. The ppl are very nice and generous with the servings and the protein isnt kept sitting around to long. Whether thats because they make most of it to order or because ppl eat it so quickly you can be sure to get something hot. I literally love this chicken spot, something about charbroiled chicken tastes so good! They have a very simple ordering system online and that's usually how I get my food. My go to side is the green beans and i get double of that. I also recommend getting the green sauce, it may be a bit spicy for some people but it has good flavor for me. The only downside to ordering online is that you can't order multiple sauces online. I have been wanting to visit this place since it first popped up on Route 40 west in the former location of CiCi's Pizza. I smelled the aroma of roasting chicken and said that l would come for a visit soon. So, some 18 months later, l decided to find out what all the hype was about. As l entered the store, there was plenty of seating, but there was hardly anyone here. Maybe because it was a Monday night. l was greeted by a pleasant young man. I order a quarter white meat chicken with roasted vegatables and fried rice. They had other sides such as plain rice, black beans, pinto beans, yucca, plantains, french fries and the like. You could even get all dark meat or a mix of both. The young lady who prepared my order wasn't the most pleasant, but she wasn't rude either. Maybe she wanted to be anyplace but at work that evening. I have had those days myself. She packaged it up and handed to me without a "have a great day"or even a half smile. Maybe she should not have came to work.... The meal was okay, nothing spectacular. The fried rice included squash, brocolli and carrots and was tasty. The chicken was nothing to write home about for me. Just standard rottisere chicken with seasonings that didn't knock me off my foodie feet. I didn't even finish my meal. I put it in the fridge and used it to make chicken fried rice that evening, which l must say, was tastier than the meal. Well that's just another place l can write off my list...been there...done that...never again. read more
