Some of the waitresses they only attend to the bar with regulars and do not worry about other customers who sit at tables..they really do not care as many many times we have been there and always ask for this and that and they after waiting a long time the waitress forgot we ordered..and then we have to put order in again and wait another half hour..I have seen people walk out as they got no service whatsoever...well 45 minutes our food came finally and oops wrong again...now I speak English as well as our waitress..we left so for 2 hours no food...never again will I ever go back to this caton tavern..only 2nd time and last time at this place..goodbye caton tavern.hope you get better waitresses cause a few of the ones you have now are not worth your servers... read more

Great local watering hole! We've been there twice now and have been happy with the dishes we have selected. Tonight, we had an appetizer of garlic parmesan wings. They were cooked and seasoned very nicely and very meaty. My husband had the fajita wrap and I had the oven baked Italian cold cut. Both were gigantic and made to our liking! Lots of chips to go with that and cold beer. Really liked we were able to just walk in and get a table on a Saturday night. No complaints....really enjoy the atmosphere! :) read more

Tried to catch the eagles game somewhere in Catonsville but it seems that no bar subscribes to NFL ticket. Luckily a patron at one of the 5 bars we attempted beforehand guided us towards Caton tavern. We snagged a seat before the rush for the 4 o'clock games started. Food menu is pretty standard. I got the cream of crab and was thoroughly pleased with the amount of lump crab meat. The chili and Maryland crab soup were also very good. Pitchers of beer were cheap and the service was pretty good. Seems like a bar full of locals so the vibes were friendly and homey. Nothing really sets this place apart from any other local bar I've been too, but if I'm in Catonsville this place will be my #1 go to to watch a game. read more

They have California burritos on the menu, but didn't specify if there are french fries inside or not. Not sure where else parking is... it's limited out front, so maybe in back? Had a horrible time my first experience at the Junction Tavern. They made me pour my beer in a cup and I dropped it when I was outside talking to some nice people and they wouldn't serve me another beer because the douchebag owner Jose was watching video feed from his living room and called the bar to cut me off. I just moved into the area and I have been looking for a nice, quiet watering hole to call my own. After trying a few others, I can safely say that Caton Tavern will NOT be that home away from home. I did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the food or service away from the bar. But the bartender we had last night paid almost no attention to us and it seemed like she had brought some outside problems to work. As a bartender myself, all I need is a smile, maybe some small talk, and a feeling that I would really want to come back. There couldn't of been more than ten people at the bar (mostly regulars I think), so I was just disappointed in the service. Our food was actually very good. The service, however, was terrible. There was one waitress covering the whole place as well as making drinks at the bar. She and the other bartender didn't seem to care whether we stayed or left. It's a seat yourself place; it also turned out to be a get your own menu, silverware, and napkins spot. Nope. Went on a weekday evening for a bite to eat and a beverage; however, everything was subpar. We have been looking for a different place to go in Catonsville, and this will not be the place. We sat at the bar. The bartender walked past us twice, fussing with her hair, and did not acknowledge we came in. Someone standing at the end of the bar had to let her know that she had new customers. Service was slow and the food was not good. I ordered wings. Given the temperature of the bones vs. the temperature of the meat, I'm fairly certain the wings spent some time in the microwave. It was an order of 10, and I could not finish them. My boyfriend ordered a burger. It wasn't anything spectacular. We will not be back. read more

What kind of bar closes at 11:30?? Lame!! I've been here a few times and I've always had friendly service. The drinks are cheap and the bathroom smells really good (weird, I know). Really nice people, great drinks if you like conventional mixed drinks. The only reason i give 4 stars is because the menu is "meh". It is typical pub grub with no outliers. This is a nice little place to hang. There are maybe 6 LCD large televisions. Watch the O's or the Ravens in the winter or maybe different teams that are on. The food is pretty decent and the staff is o so friendly. They treat you nicely and don't hate you for not leaving a tip...but please do leave a tip...they are so nice. It's a fairly nice restaurant and it is wheelchair accessible as of 2008. read more

I called the order in asked the woman who answered how it was , and she said wonderful and very popular. Well i consider myself an expert on cream of crab. A group of us were there for Taco Tuesday in the early afternoon. The bar was packed but the bartender, Stephanie, was super efficient, handling not only the patrons sitting at the bar, but customers in the dining room. The tacos were very good! Stephanie is a true professional, she was prompt, courteous and handled a large crowd efficiently and has a sweet disposition.
