Last night we went to the Convention Center in Baltimore to see a live podcast and after we were hungry. We spotted this restaurant while walking back to the Marriott at the waterfront so we decided to get carry out. My fiance has been to this restaurant in New York and loved it so she was excited to try the food. She got the beef platter with extra white sauce and a mint lemonade and I got a chicken gyro aka sandwich. The menu says sandwich but it's clearly a gyro. Anyways as soon as we got back to the hotel I demolished my food. It was filling and even though we got the food around 10pm it tastes fresh and flavorful. We ate our food so quick I had no time to take pics lol my apologies. Next time we in Baltimore we will stop by again for a late night grub session.

Great little restaurant when you want Halal Guys. This maybe my first time here. Get a regular or small bowl or a gyro. I went for the regular bowl even though pita bread is a fav. Got the chicken and beef gyro mix and it was delicious. So much flavor! It comes with rice, lettuce, tomatoes. There a few other free add ins like olives, onions. Got the mayo white sauce (extra) and the red sauce in packets since I can't handle the heat... The red sauce is fairly spicy so know this going in. The bowl comes with three pita wedges too. It was good. Mix everything up and the party begins. It was delicious. The dish was full of flavor. The lemonade machine was broken so that was a bummer. Fountain soda and bottled soda was available. Fountain soda had free refills. Definitely recommend!

Ordered late night DoorDash to my hotel when I got into BAI really late. It was fantastic, didn't take too long and arrived hot.

Super excited to have The Halal Guys open up a restaurant nearby! I went to their Grand Opening today and waited in line with a long line of other people for them to open. I was given a menu when I got in the doors to help make ordering easier. I chose the regular combo platter which comes with both chicken & gyro. Watching the staff add the ingredients into the bowl, they skimp on the meat a bit as they add just what their serving cup holds. For the final touch, I got their white sauce and a side of the hot sauce. Since I had downloaded their app, I was also given a free side (chose baba ganoush) and drink when scanning my member barcode. Once I got home and was able to try my food, it was quite tasty. The ingredients were fresh and everything was cooked well. I definitely feel like there wasn't as much meat given as some other places might have as the sides dominated the bowl but it was still quite good. A really good experience for their first day of opening.

Restaurant found conveniently near the national aquarium. Small but comfy. Smelled great when we entered. Ordered the spiced sizzling sandwich and platter with falafel. The employee that worked on our meal was new but the follow-up employee (manager?) instructed him carefully and promptly got things in order. It took 4 mins for the falafel to be prepared. The sandwich was overflowing with lettuce and the chicken was little. The white and red sauce was not evenly spread through the sandwich. Ended with a sandwich that was mediocre and messy. The platter was in better shape. The chocolate baklava cheesecake was fantastic.

Halal guys is an ok place to get Mediterranean food. I've never been the biggest fan but we had some Uber eats credit so wanted to get some since it was nearby. I always wondered why the tahini was extra & it's pretty watered down. Falafel is good but not much flavor anywhere else - wish they had better more flavorful sauces since I'm not a fan of the white sauce since it doesn't taste like much to me.

I love that this restaurant is its own independent restaurant and not a part of the Atlas Group food chain (I dine at restaurants that are part of the Atlas group, I have no issues with the Atlas group, just nice to see an independent restaurant). Disclaimer (LONG REVIEW) Upon pulling up, I instantly loved the way the wording of the Restaurant sticks out, and that valet parking was available and prices were reasonable ($15.00 of which is added to your bill), because I really dislike finding parking when going to dinner or having to walk from the garage. The valet employees were very professional and pleasant. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the neutral soft tones colors selected for furniture and decor was very cozy and warm. There was much attention paid to detail throughout the entire restaurant, I literally forgot where I was . The seating is close and intimate but not too close . The interior decor was captivating. From the moment you walk through the entrance, everything draws you in, appealing to every sense of your curiosity. The soft tones and moody atmosphere made it feel like we had stepped into foreign lands, a world of its own, gently planted in the middle of a little big city like Baltimore. It almost feels like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Now to the food, we had hummus with shrimps, I had the "Bronzino", of which was delectable, it came with grilled broccolini. My husband had the " Shish Tawouk" of which was chicken kebab served with grilled veggies & rice . The rice was very flavorful with pomegranate seeds which was a nice added touch, the chicken was tender and flavorful as well. I also had the "Kebbet Karaz" which was like lamb meatballs in a really sweet & savory sauce. Everything we ordered was SCRUMPTIOUS! Now service: (Dianna) was our server and she was so pleasant, attentive, patient and so knowledgeable about the menu, she made our dining experience unforgettable with her amazing smile . (Iman), the manager was going around to tables and interacting with customers to ensure our dining experiences was satisfying and enjoyable. Iman was so amiable, affable, courteous, professional and so pleasant. I look very forward to dining here again. Both Iman and Dianna made our date night a night to remember .

Beautiful decor, no doubt…read more The baba ghanoush and the shrimp appetizer were my favorites. The filet mignon was not very good, it really needed some seasoning. Very bland, served luke warm and even had a hint of it being frozen .... Not sure but it wasn't worth the price. I wanted to sprinkle salt over it. Ate 1/4 . I didn't like any of their cocktails. The desserts were just ok. For the price, I'd say pass. Great service and good coffee. I would recommend stopping in for appetizers and desserts with coffee, maybe.

Classic Baltimore hotspot offering the best Taiwanese curry-fried chicken bao buns, tofu nuggets,…read moreand crab rangoon egg rolls. I've been here a million times so I don't know how I haven't written a review yet! Parking isn't great for the Fells Point location, there is some street parking nearby, but most of it is paid. It can be a task to find a parking spot that isn't too far away. Be prepared to walk a block or two! Their service is very friendly, and you are able to place orders in person or online through their website. If you are in a rush, I would definitely recommend placing an online order and picking it up. Since everything is made to order, it can take 10-20 mins if you're placing an order in person. Their storefront is pretty small as well, not much seating if you're looking to eat there. Also, if it is around lunch or dinner time, it can get pretty packed and loud in there. Definitely more of a takeout spot. You genuinely can't go wrong with anything on the menu, however, my favorites are the Neighborhood bird bowl, the tofu nuggets, crab rangoon egg roll, and the ramen broccoli. Prices are a bit hefty, but portions are sizeable and typically shareable. I'll be back again and again!

This is the best dibi lamb I've had!…read more My first introduction to dibi lamb was at a Malian restaurant in West Philadelphia in the early 2000s. Since that time, I rotate between poisson and dibi whenever I get Senegalese food. West African restaurants are a dime a dozen in Philadelphia, but a lot of the food is just ok, with many of my favorite restaurants changing hands over the years and after COVID most of the food is meh at best. I recently had dibi at the gold standard for Senegalese food in Philadelphia and was disappointed. Fortunately, I have been able to order poisson and dibi from a Malian woman near me and I can make a passable version in a pinch. Two weeks ago, a friend posted on FB that this was the best meal she had ever had. As this was someone I know to have a breadth of experience with food, I was intrigued by the recommendation. So, while attending a conference in the area, I decided to give it a try. Unlike the Senegalese restaurant I recently visited in Chicago, this place was nice - the furnishings, decorations, and even the restroom was modern but authentic. The customer service was also refreshing. As soon as he set the plate down I knew it was going to be spectacular. There was a glorious aroma wafting from the lamb (which I'd ordered spicy), the plantains weren't glistening with oil, and the yassa condiment was a unexpected treat. The lamb was tender, seasoned to perfection and honestly I was so enamored with the food that I texted my friend to concur with her assessment. I was stuffed but didn't want the meal to end and I didn't want to leave. When I finished, I went to wash my hands and when I returned to the table I was disappointed that I had eaten it all. It was truly an outstanding meal with remarkable service. I wish them longevity and success because I intend to return with my family so they too can experience the deliciousness.
