Came back to Ammoora because it is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Baltimore with great food. The service was attentive throughout our meal, and every dish arrived beautifully plated with great attention to detail. We started with the Beyti Sujuk Rolls and the Beetroot Hadiqa. The rolls were one of my favorite appetizers. They were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the yogurt and tomato sauce. The Beetroot Hadiqa was equally impressive, with beets, apples, walnuts...it was a refreshing combination of sweet, savory, and creamy flavors. For our entrees, we ordered the Riyash of Lamb and the Freekeh Short Rib. The lamb chops were cooked beautifully and served over couscous with broccolini, while the pistachio crust added a nice texture. The Freekeh Short Rib was incredibly tender and the rich beef jus paired perfectly with the mushrooms. It was hearty, comforting, and one of the best short rib dishes I've had. The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Asfar So Good, while my partner had the Ashita Affair. Both were beautifully presented with a silky foam on top and were as delicious as they looked. The Asfar So Good was light, refreshing, and well-balanced with subtle floral and citrus notes, while the Ashita Affair had a smooth, creamy texture with pistachio and rose flavors that made it feel almost like a dessert cocktail without being overly sweet. This is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the ingredients, presentation, atmosphere, and service justify the cost. Every plate felt thoughtfully prepared, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. All I can say is WOW. My dining partner and I had such an amazing experience here. First of all, the restaurant is gorgeous inside. We had an earlier dinner reservation so it wasn't as crowded at the beginning but was quite busy at the end. We tried a couple different cocktails and I loved both of mine - Ashta Affair and Asfar So Good. The Ashta Affair was sweet and creamy and the Asfar So Good was deliciously refreshing. My friend really enjoyed his Old Fashioned Date and had a fun experience trying the El Massaya Arak. For appetizers, we ordered Muhamara and Mousakhan Chicken Rolls. The Muhamara came with pita and was such a great dip. The chicken rolls were equally as good with their own sumac labneh dip we enjoyed. For entrees, we shared the Braised Lamb Shank and Makloubeh. The portions were large and the meat was tender. Neither were over seasoned and were absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all and saved the rest for leftovers - yum! We wanted to try their dessert and ending up getting the Ashta Bil Asal and Ruz Bil Karaz. The Ashta Bil Asal had cotton candy which made it a fun dessert to try and the Ruz Bil Karaz had a great caramelization coating. Neither were overly sweet which we preferred. It was such a great ending to our meal. I absolutely loved my experience here. Our server, Miriam, was friendly and attentive. We even chatted with the GM, Iman, who also made sure we were provided a great first experience. Ammoora is such a beautiful spot--definitely great for a nice night out. The vibe is upscale but still really welcoming. We went for my husband's birthday. We started with Arabic coffee and the Harra Wala cocktail--both were really good. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and the cocktail was unique and refreshing. For food, we ordered batata harra, beetroot hadiqa, lentil soup, saffron pita pie, and saffron rice. Everything was solid, but the saffron pita pie and batata harra were probably my favorites. The lentil soup was super comforting too. For dessert, we got the raspberry sorbet and baklava--perfect way to end the meal. The sorbet was light and refreshing, and the baklava was sweet and flaky. Service was great. Our server made sure we enjoyed our meal and was available to explain the menu options and checking on time to time if we need anything. Overall, a great experience. Even though this is my first review for Ammoora, I have been here many times. I am a fan of Syrian/Turkish/Greek cuisine and this is one of my favorite in MD. The staff are so kind and the manager has a hands-on mentality interacting with guests. They really put a lot of attention into the presentation of the food and the ambiance is simply lovely. I've meant to try this place for months and finally picked this place as a date night. We absolutely loved our experience at Ammoora! Once you enter the place this elegant atmosphere welcomes you along with friendly staff. It's so well decorated with a water fountain, high ceilings and wall decks. and will be back soon! It's not often I leave DC and head north to Baltimore, but I was in town for a comedy show and decided to do myself a favor and try some of Baltimore's finest dining instead of settling for questionable food near the venue. Ammoora did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top tier - food, ambiance, service, all of it. It's located inside the Ritz-Carlton, so the bar is already high, but Ammoora still managed to exceed expectations. This was my first time having Syrian food, and I can confidently say it won't be my last. The cocktails were beautifully curated. I had the Wild West Win, which was fantastic, and my friend ordered an old fashioned - both solid choices. We started with the Muhamara hummus and Mousakhan chicken rolls, and wow... absolutely delicious. Flavorful, well-balanced, and memorable. For our entrees, we ordered the Short Rib Freekeh and the Braised Lamb Shank. The short rib came with a mushroom risotto that paired perfectly, while the lamb was served with fragrant saffron rice. Both dishes were packed with flavor, and the meat was incredibly tender and juicy. We did have a small hiccup - we accidentally made reservations for the wrong day and didn't realize until we arrived but thankfully, we were able to grab bar seating with full menu access. Shoutout to Vince, who took great care of us all evening. He was friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. One thing to note: this is definitely a splurge. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality, service, and overall experience make it worth it. The decor was stunning, honestly, even the bathroom was gorgeous. Visited last night for restaurant week and to a celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a reservation which was pretty much necessary because it was restaurant week after all! Did valet and it was worth $15! Street parking was almost impossible as the streets were filled with snow/ice. Overall, we had a decent time. I do feel like our server could been a bit more engaging. He just seemed ready to get off his shift. Something about his energy was really off. Maybe he just was having a bad day. Either way, it rubbed me the wrong way. My friend asked for cream for her Arabic coffee and he told her, "it doesn't come with creamer. I'll see if there's any in the kitchen." The manager came around to check on us and said he'd come back but he never did. He was focused on other patrons, in particular a very loud, obnoxious table near us. They were ridiculously loud. I had a glass of riesling, which was nice. The first course, the lentil soup was really good. The second course, the grill plate was just ok. My friend's salmon was good. The dessert, a rice and milk pudding, was my least favorite. The place is beautiful! I just don't know if I'll be in a hurry to return based on the mid food and the service, or lack of. Ammoora is a beautiful restaurant located in the Ritz Carlton Residences in Baltimore. The ambience is truly stunning, I loved the layout of the restaurant and the design. My partner and I went for Valentine's Day, which was a pre-fixe menu at $100 pp. It also came with a complementary rosé toast, which I will admit - our lovely waitress did forget about, but she was quick to resolve once I brought it up to her. To get this out of the way, would I say the food alone was worth the price we paid? Honestly, no. It was delicious but I was a bit shocked that it was $100 pp. I would've felt like $75 would have made more sense for the menu options. The cocktails I had were absolutely fantastic. The waitress was a sweetheart and service was overall good. I would definitely come back for some cocktails and an entree or appetizers, but I can't foresee us coming again for a $100 pp pre-fixe menu. Let me start with positives. The place itself is stunning and there's plenty of seating. It also wasn't packed so reservations aren't necessary. Okay now let me address the food. To preface, I came for the restaurant week deal and have never been here before, but I had heard that this place was known for creative, delicious dishes. What I had was okay and definitely not worth the price. The Syrian wedding soup was good but tasted like lukewarm tzatziki with diced vegetables, and the chicken in the Damascus grill plate was a spot-on copy of Bourbon Street chicken (yes, the mall food court spot). I'm not saying these were bad dishes, just that I expected more creativity and presentation than a soup and some kebabs with rice. I did like the dessert, but I thought the caramel layer on top was too thick and overpowered the rest of the dish, over-sweetening what I thought to be the perfect blend of flavors between coconut rice pudding and cherry bitters. As a note, a friend tried the NA pairings with their courses and disliked them. They enjoyed the iced hibiscus drink (app) and hot tea (dessert), but thought they were paired incorrectly, given that they had the Syrian wedding soup to start and a raspberry sorbet to finish. They didn't like the main pairing at all, saying that it was way too much cinnamon to the point of pain. Overall, we thought the food was mid and not at all worth the price. Honestly I have nothing but good things to say! To set the scene I was going to this restaurant before seeing Hans Zimmer play at the CFG Bank arena... to my surprise he cancelled as I was walking into the restaurant... So there I am in Baltimore with no more plans & a whole lot of disappointment.. I thought I shouldn't let the restaurant go to waste. So I went. Just upon entrance this place is gorgeous, the color palette is so peaceful and earthy, and the decor is very intentional! I loved every aspect of the design. So the food had big shoes to fill. The service was very nice and had a great sense of humor! The food was absolutely delicious! Exceeded my expectations by a landslide and turned a bad night into a really pleasant surprise! Our server was genuinely sweet and helpful, and the drinks were a highlight. Easily a 5 out of 5. The food was a bit more hit or miss. We ordered the short rib, lobster, and fish. The fish was fresh and really well done. The short rib was just okay. Unfortunately, the lobster had an ammonia smell, so we didn't eat it. We ended up taking our entrees to go and weren't able to mention it to the staff, though based on the service we received, I truly believe it would have been handled kindly if we had stayed. For mains we ordered the braised lamb shank (this was excellent!) and the shish tawouk which is pretty much chicken kebab served with veggies and rice. The main portions were really nice and the lamb shank was just falling off the bone very tender and so well seasoned. Service was great. Even on a busy Saturday night we felt well cared for and the meals/drinks did not take long to arrive after ordering despite how complex they were. Mousakhan Chicken Rolls -- 9.5/10: I really enjoyed this hot mezze. Lamb shank is one of my favorite things to eat regardless of how it is prepared. I was super duper excited for this braised lamb shank from Ammoora after a friend hyped it up but honestly I might not return to this place again. Ask me why? Let me explain! I was in Baltimore for a concert and I got there early so based upon a recommendation I went yo Ammoora to try the braised lab shank. This thing was $50+ so my expectations were also accordingly. I don't want to get too much into the service and the ambiance because both were great but ultimately I care about the food. I don't care if I sit on the side walk next to a pothole to eat something as long as it is delicious. This however was not delicious at all. The rice was undercooked, some parts of the lamb shank were dry which pretty much said that this was not freshly cooked at all. This is all I have to say. This was a massive let down. 1/5 - 1/2 star for ambiance and 1/2 for service. 0 for the food. read more

The food was absolutely amazing, but a few details were lacking that made this a 5 star review for me. To start, when we arrived, it took a few minutes for us to be treated for our reservation. We got the humus, octopus, stuffed leaves, and burrata. All absolutely phenomenal. Our entrees come out, those are fantastic. However, there's something on the outside of my plate that gets on the table and my hands. And at this point there's 4 glasses that need to be bussed from our table that haven't been. We ordered sparkling water so our bottle of water is on the table, and we've been filling our own glasses. Which, I'm not above doing mind you. But when I'm spending 400$ on a dinner for two I just.. expect more. The food was AMAZING. Every aspect of the food was perfection. I just really expected the polish of service to be more than it was. I don't know if it was an off night, or if my expectations were too high? I have been wanting to visit Ammoora since they opened and immediately made a reservation when I heard about their Brunch series which apparently only happens once a month. The pictures I took were on a cloudy day so don't do justice but the interior and exterior looks straight out of a fairy tale. The aesthetics and decor - can I just say that it is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have been to? And perfect scores for the hospitality - right from the hostess to our server, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We sat outdoors and I felt like being transported to some beautiful middle eastern country. We got a few things but the stand outs were 1. Za'atar Honey Burrata: beautifully presented and tasted equally delicious. 2. Beyti Sujuk Rolls: spicy beef in spicy tomato reduction, this one was ridiculously flavorful. 3. Challah French Toast: came with a cardamom pistachio cream which was very good! 4. Arabic coffee: cardamom infused black coffee, I usually don't drink coffee without milk and did get a side of milk but this one didn't need anything else added to it, it was one of the best coffees I have had. 5. Desserts: their dessert menu is to die for! We got the Madlouka and Ruz Bil Karaz. Madlouka is a semolina based dessert folded with orange blossom water and with each bite, not only do you taste the pistachios and roses but you get the aroma of the orange blossom water which is an out of world experience. Ruz Bil Karaz is a coconut rice and milk pudding, paired with sour cherries confit and coconut caramel tuile - whoever came up with this pairing has excellent taste because it was just phenomenal. I can attest that I have never been to a middle eastern restaurant as beautiful and as amazing as Ammoora in terms of hospitality and flavors. I been wanting to go this restaurant for a long time, in anticipation for delicious food and a sophisticated ambience, so I am excited to have finally visited this beautiful restaurant! Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted warmly, much appreciated in that cultural kindness and loving nature that I find in South Asian/West Asian cultures. We were seated near the front of the restaurant, so we had a good view of the bar. I will say the booth is well adjusted to the table height, but the chair felt a bit low, and this is coming from a tall person, so the unequal chair height can disrupt the dining experience. We were smoothly given our menus and ordered an appetizer (Vine Leaves Yalangi) and 2 dishes as vegan (Fasolia Batenjan and Veggie Kawaj ). We sincerely appreciate the accommodations made for vegan and vegetarians! The appetizer was plated nicely, though I wish more attention was spent on the size of the vine leaves and the seasoning of the vine leaves. We wished there was more pomegranate in the appetizer because it had such a lovely potential to elevate the taste of the dish and create harmony between the flavors. Our two entrees were tasty, but we wished there could have been more robust seasoning or flavoring. I personally absolutely loved the Veggie Kawaj and how the eggplant was seared and cooked with texture and enriching flavors! The Fasolia Batenjan usage of beans was a pleasant surprise but held the flavors of the dish well! In terms of plating, our two entrees were placed in mental containers with a napkin on top of a plate. I think the experience with the food if the plating matched the elevated energy of the restaurant. Service was smooth, but it was a bit slower than expected given our dinner time of 6PM, where it seemed it wasn't as busy as when more customers entered around 7PM. Overall, it was good, but at this moment we did not find the price worth the small size of the meals and under seasoning. This place is an experience. From the time we walked through the doors we were treated like royalty. Due to an Orioles game we were running behind. I tried to call (just know, nobody will answer, you'll have to leave a text), but nobody answered. I left a text message that we would arrive late and they actually received it. My partner & I were here for our anniversary. When you walk into the dinner area, you'll be amazed. It's like you're transported somewhere else. It's beautiful. Everybody was so attentive. Our server gave us recommendations as the menu is not your usual fare. I ordered the espresso martini and it was one of the best! Perfectly mixed. My partner ordered the Tiki in the Desert. She enjoyed that as well. We ordered the octopus as it's our favorite and we have it whenever it's on the menu. It was delicious. The Za'atar Honey Burata was a twist on another of our favorite dishes that didn't disappoint. For our main dishes I ordered the Tarragon Lobster Tails while she had Bronzino. I went to Ammoora right when it opened and didn't leave very impressed. Yes, it was gorgeous, but we just didn't love the food. And I'm easily annoyed by style without substance. But I also know that a new place is often still working out the kinks. So it took a while, but I made it back for another try (after reading that it had made some lists of best restaurants in Baltimore), with three friends for dinner recently, and I'm so glad I did. Because this time the food was really good - and totally matched the gorgeous decor. We shared lots of small plates: sultana salad (seasonal greens, arugula, radicchio, dried apricots, sultana raisins, pomegranate, dried green apple, cashews, and apple cider and mustard vinaigrette); muhamara (roasted red peppers, red chile paste, walnuts, pomegranate molasses, tahini, and olive oil); baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant puree, peppers, spring onions, lemon, olive oil, pomegranate, walnuts, and micro radish); za'atar honey burrata (burrata with citrus honey, za'atar, pistachio, rose petals, and olive oil); mousakhan chicken rolls (braised sumac chicken, caramelized onions, saj bread rolls, and sumac labneh dip); knafeh shrimp (knafeh-wrapped fried shrimp, tahini tajen, and chile oil); and the octopus (citrus and herb marinated Spanish octopus pan-seared with white bean and smoked paprika puree, sujuk meat crumb, and sweet peas). We also shared a few desserts: the Dubai chocolate crunch bar (toasted knafeh, pistachio-tahini batter, white chocolate Cremieux, caramel espresso, chocolate ganache, and crushed pistachio) and their "Taste of Ammora Balklawa" (a selection of various baklava). Everything we tried was delicious - there wasn't a thing I wouldn't be happy to order again. There were many drinks, too! I started with the Ambar Sunbeam (sunflower liqueur, sparkling wine, honey, soda, and chamomile), which was incredibly refreshing. Then with dinner, a great glass of Lebanese wine. After dinner, an espresso. All the drinks we tried were great. Then on top of that, the service was excellent. And the decor - just like the first time I visited - it's a jaw dropper. It's got to be one of the most restaurants in the city. Pinks and tile and metal mirrors and velvet booths and a fountain - it's all just gorgeous. All that adds up to a beautiful, delicious meal. I really enjoyed this place! We got the chefs tasting menu which had multiple courses of spreads, mezze, entree, and dessert. We had an amazing waitress Gigi who took fantastic care of us and was always 5 steps ahead of anything we needed. The aesthetics were absolutely gorgeous and the place was stunning. For large seating they have a back semi enclosed space with tables and benches. All the food was amazing! There was nothing I didn't enjoy. The only thing I'll say is that the braised lamb is quite hearty and if you get the mezze then you may not be able to finish your meal. The flavors were so fresh and everything was delicious. I'd recommend getting this multi course meal so you can try a variety of things. The only thing I was not obsessed with was the baklava. It was still good but was more dry and not like the Greek baklava I'm used to. All the hot mezze I tried was good but I could have skipped the potatoes. Food- the apps we got were so incredibly flavorful, as were the dishes. We got the beef rolls and red pepper spread for apps, and then the branzino and lamb shank for entrees. All of their options were so tasty, I would be interested in trying all of them. The lamb chops will definitely be what I order next time. We got a very unique dessert that was like a pistachio cake that was not sweet and it was delicious! Service- our server was great as was the owner. They both were very attentive and checked in on us and multiple tables throughout the night. They provided good recommendations for drinks and options for the menu. From the beautifully decorated space, to the stop notch service, to the delicious food, Ammoora is a 10/10 restaurant! The hues of blush pink and gold, the curtains and velvet seats make you feel like you're stepping into another world. They have a dress code and I really enjoyed getting dressed up. I came here for Baltimore Restaurant Week and the menu had a great variety of things to choose from. The highlight for me was the raspberry sorbet topped with fresh fruit. This year I decided to do something a little different this year for my birthday. A small intimate dinner with my sisters. The food was amazing. It was a little pricey but for good food it was worth it. Everything from the appetizers down to the dessert had unique flavors and something expected. The bronzino was a crowd favorite. The ambiance of the resturant was also very nice. I will say the service was a little slow and they need to work and attention to details. We received dirty glass with lipstick prints and dirty forks. Then it took them forever to replace them. However when everything was fitted everything was back on track. Wanted to treat my sister as she finished another semester. Made reservations for the main dining area and were seated promptly. It's a beautiful restaurant, I'd definitely recommend sitting in the main dining area, you feel like you're transported. There's a fountain, some booths with draped curtains. We were quite hungry and for appetizers we did the Muhamara, kebbeh orfaliyeh and chicken rolls. Enjoyed it all and the muhamara was a stand out. The kebbeh was a little too paste like, I prefer mince texture but had very good flavors. They don't miss with the flavors! For mains we did short rib freekeh and kebab antabli. My sister's fave was the short rib and I loved the kebab. Both were tasty and it came down to preference. I am so happy that our server ( I think her name was Mariam) convinced us to get the Madlouka for dessert! It was the best. It's so unique and the flavors just work together. Don't miss on the Madlouka, I'm not a dessert person and it was great- not too sweet. Everything we tried was delicious. We were also presented with a dessert on the house consisting of three different baklava which was a treat. Very memorable experience. read more

First of all, the decor is absolutely stunning! The lounge area when you walk in has chic, plush pink couches for intimate drinks and appetizers (they also offer the full menu). Perfect for a date night or night out with friends. The hallway leading to the main dining room walks past an open kitchen with ornate archways and opens into a beautiful space with gorgeous natural lighting and a fountain for added ambiance. Everything was over the top beautiful, even the bathrooms! The food was equally beautiful and delicious! We shared a bunch of small plates- the Sutana salad was fresh, bright, and well balanced. The Muhamara, Baba Ghanouj, and Honey Burrata were full of flavor and paired perfectly with the fresh pita. The Knafeh Shrimp and chicken rolls were so good! The shrimp was extra crunchy and the rolls resembled little taquitos- both came with dips that really sent them over the edge. For dessert we tried the Dubai Chocolate Crunch bar and the assorted Baklawa. It was the perfect end to the meal! The chocolate bar was very decadent and had so many different layers and textures- I loved it! The Baklawa was nice but didn't blow me away. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. I went to Ammoora for Baltimore's Winter Restaurant Week. I chose the lentil soup appetizer, lamb and chicken over rice entree, and raspberry sorbet dessert. My favorite dish was surprisingly the lentil soup! Very flavorful, smooth and satisfying for a cold night. The entree dish left much to be desired but was quite filling. I appreciated the portion size but wanted more creativity to the dish. The sorbet was a great hit to end the night. This was my second visit to Ammoora and the first time I was wowed! This visit was a solid meal but I hoped for more for restaurant week. Ultimately, the food is quite filling and flavorful. read more

From the moment we walked into Ammoora, we were transported. The ambiance is absolutely breathtaking--ornate textures, warm lighting, and a luxe setting that makes you feel like royalty. Every corner is a photo op. But what truly elevated our experience was Gigi. She was hands-down the highlight of the evening. With grace and attention to detail, she navigated our large party's needs, double-checked allergy concerns, coordinated with her manager to ensure our checks were accurate, and still managed to bring such warmth and professionalism. She deserves all the flowers. Now the food? A feast for the eyes and the palate. I started with a crisp, flavorful salad punctuated with pomegranate jewels, then moved on to the salmon entrée--perfectly cooked and dressed in a creamy sauce with subtle spice. 8.5/10. The tenderloin was also a hit at our table, and the saffron rice and grilled veggies paired beautifully with the chicken kabob. Everything was thoughtfully plated. We ended the night with traditional tea served in ornate copper pots and a variety of baklava that felt like a sweet blessing. We had an amazing time at Ammoora. The food was so delicious, the ambiance was nice, and the staff and manager were checking in with us regularly to make sure we were well cared for. Hummus - at Ammoora I learned there is a difference between hummus and HUMMUS. The fresh hummus appetizer we ordered was just the right amount of tangy and the texture was like a cloud. The pitas it came with were soft and fluffy. Beyti sujuk - another appetizer that knocked it out of the park. The meat was succulent and the flavors of the yogurt and tomato reduction were heaven. Freekeh - the short ribs were so incredible, I barely had to touch them with my fork before they came apart and they literally melted in my mouth. The risotto was great and the au jus added just the right kind of moisture. Laymouniyé - this lemon curd dessert was SO refreshing. The crunch of the almond crumble was crisp, and the lemon curd was the perfect texture and taste. Dubai chocolate crunch bar - this was so rich and chocolatey. I only had a taste but just one bite was enough for me to highly recommend! Overall this was a wonderful fine dining experience. I will definitely return. Beautiful space! Excellent service! Delicious food and an all around great dining experience. We started our meal with Syrian wedding soup, absolutely divine! I've searched recipes but haven't found a recipe that sounds like this yet. I will keep searching... or go back. For entrees we had the saffron pita pie and the braised lamb shanks. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly! If you are looking for a fine place to dine this is highly recommended but book early as reservations are hard to come by, especially on holidays. We were going to a show so kept our meal simple, but I will return for the Silk Road Experience someday! read more

Sunday (1/18 table 68) ... a lovely table in the corner. We arrived early and watched as the restaurant filled up with excited patrons. (An added bonus is the ez and friendly valet parking!) Our Egyptian (it's a Syrian eatery) waitress was too kind (about my Egyptian Arabic) and very helpful as to the food to order. Everything was top notch and delish! Wonderful flavors and presentation. The cocktails were particularly adventuring and tasty. Alas, after ordering a goodly amount I didn't try the desserts (boo hoo) but took home some left overs. Whoa, The packing and bagging was particularly noteworthy. (Tip: get take away too). Real fresh baked pita (not the thick bread like thing you usually eat) with easy access pockets to stuff with the delicious eats. We had an excellent meal here last weekend, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in their small walled-in patio well protected from the wind. My meal began with the Syrian Wedding Soup, but there was a mixup in the kitchen and I got the hot lentil soup. I mentioned this to the waiter and although she said she would fix it, I wavered and said I would just take what had been brought. But a maitre d' stopped by and insisted that I should have both -- comp'd. And both were good, Indeed, my hesitancy about the wedding soup was that, because it was advertised as having a labneh, it would be chilled but it was hot. So, a good beginning, For my main I hot a hot mezze, the Beyti Sujuk Rolls rolls, also excellent, and the roast branzino , nicely filleted and splated on the plate with a slightly sour sauce Yummy. One of the araks for my drink, while Nancy had Nancy had the tabouleh, which she pronounced only ordinary and the very nice pita pie. I was pretty full but I decided to go for a dessert =- the Laymouniyé, a very light lemon curd. Delicious. And, learning that it was a special occasion, a second maitre d' insisted on comping us a dessert champagne -- it was delicious but I knew i had to drive home so I left it unfinished, SO, a good meal, excellent service, reasonable price.
