I've been driving past this place everyday on my way home from work and I finally hit the chance to stop by. I would have never thought that the inside looked the way it does when standing outside , it definitely fits the phrase " it took e by surprise". The ambiance is beautiful with pink floral foliage throughout the restaurant. There is bar seating and various dining tables to choose from. The restaurant is actually a very nice size. I especially lie that it has a bakery attached with so many beautiful baked goods . I got wings to go because happy hour had just started of which were really good (buffalo and a dry rub). Drinks were really good and the service was too. I will definitely be back to try a Greek dish . But I did rave with at least 8 desserts to take home

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for over a year. I first noticed it when I was waiting at the nearby bus station to go to NYC. I can't remember what caught my eye but I knew I had to go eventually. I am so glad I did. The restaurant is one of the most visually appealing restaurants that I have ever been to. I literally felt like I had gone to Greece and the music playing helped create that atmosphere too! Our server was so kind. I was debating between the plaka mousaka and the shrimp linguini. He recommended the mousaka and said if I don't like it he would give me the shrimp linguini. No need to worry, I LOVED it! I'm so glad that he encouraged me to try something new and not go with the safe choice (which I'm sure would've been great too). I can't wait to come back!

We came for the Greek Tasting Wine dinner. So much food. The tasting menu consist of three appetizers. Yes that's correct. I stated three. I have photographed the menu. It also included a salad. With two entrees one being the Spitroast Lamb, the other was the Lavraki (Branzino) filet fish. This was my favorite!! Seasoned perfectly with the lemon oil and capers. It also included two desserts. There was a wine sample that went with every meal. So a total of seven different wines. All pretty much on the dry side. With the exception of the wine that went with the desserts. It was called Paleokairiso,2023. That had a slight sweetness to it. I'm actually a semi sweet wine person. So everything paired well with the meals. I would have to pass on all dry wines but I'm always open to the possibilities. This was an enjoyable experience. We don't live in Baltimore but if you live or work nearby. I highly recommend checking them out. Parking was about a block away. For twenty five cents an hour. Also metered street parking available if you can find it. We would not hesitate to attend another event here. It was definitely worth it.

I took myself on a little solo date here since it's a short walk from my house. What a cute place! It's a restaurant and bakery and the decor is gorgeous. I wish I could remember my servers name because he was so funny and so helpful. He also didn't judge me for getting basically one of everything for just myself lol. I got the grilled calamari, octopus, and lamb chops. I was NOT expecting the calamari to be so huge haha it was so delicious and flavorful though. I always prefer grilled over fried calamari. The lamb chops were juicy and seasoned so well (not gamey at all). And octopus is a favorite of mine anywhere I go, this was a 10/10. I'll 100% be returning here before I move out of this neighborhood!

I've been living in Baltimore for 4 years and I did not know there was a Greek town. My boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner at Estiatorio Plaka. The decor is absolutely stunning, and I love that they have their own shop/bakery attached. I was so full from dinner that I did not get to try any deserts but I definitely want to go back for a sweet treat and to grab a couple of their infused olive oils. For drinks I ordered the espresso martini and my boyfriend got this like spicy margarita type of cocktail. Both were delicious. We got the Baked Feta in Phyllo for our appetizer, it was delicious and came out nice and fresh. The flavors were so balanced. For our entrees I got the seafood linguini and my boyfriend got the lamb chops. The portion for the seafood linguini is HUGE, so be prepared to take basically a whole meal to go. The seafood was cooked properly the noodles had great texture and the sauce honestly tastes like the sauce from spaghettios and I mean that in the best way possible. It was yummy and nostalgic. Could've used a tad bit more seasoning though. Same for the lamb, cooked perfectly, tasted good, but wasn't the best lamb chops from a flavor perspective. I was expecting more of burst of flavor. Maybe if they added a little flaky salt right off the grill it would've kicked it up a notch. All in all it was a great dinner. The ambiance was perfect, that service was amazing. And I will 10000% be going back because the couple next to us ordered the Greek roasted chicken and it smelled HEAVENLY.

One of the best happy hours in the city! Food: Extensive happy hour food menu at great prices. Delicious: $1 oysters, mezze spreads with pita, mini spinach & cheese pies. Skippable: zucchini chips, and the mini gyros were a little dry. All signature cocktails are $7, honestly amazing price and they are strong and tasty! Service: sat at the bar, bartender was lovely, fast, made good recommendations. Ambiance: restaurant is super cute, bright and well decorated; bathrooms are nice and clean. Bonus: restaurant is attached to their bakery, the mini pistachio baklavas are some of the best ever!!!

New huge fan of Estiatorio Plaka!! The restaurant itself is beautiful, the seating area feels upscale while still being welcoming and warm. A group of us came for happy hour and it was incredible. The $1 oysters, mezze spread (with hummus, tzatziki, eggplant, and I think a roe cream cheese), and espresso martinis were all 10/10 for me. Sometimes an espresso martini can be a little bitter but I felt like this one had the perfect balance of sweetness!

I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary with the kid and wanted to grab lunch. I was looking for a place that was not too expensive, with good food, good vibes and family friendly; Estiatorio Plaka (EP) delivered. Located in Greektown, not too far from Canton is EP. They have been opened for less than two years and have a bakery, bar and formal restaurant. The outside of this place does it no justice. In fact, with a secret a door it could easily be a speakeasy. The only difficult part is the parking lot. There is limited street parking and a dedicated parking lot that's a 4 minute walk. We arrived, with our reservation and were immediately seated. The staff were friendly and I appreciated that they had a pillow for my son's back in the high chair. My wife's immediate response was, this place is nice; good choice. We started off with a Bellini and Mimosa which were mixed to perfection. It was the right amount of juice and champagne. Then, we didn't know what to order because everything sounded good so we got the French toast and the kayianas (mixed scrambled eggs). The French toast was very tasty and light; the eggs were flavorful as well. Then, I ordered the gyro which had shaved meat, fries, onions and tomatoes which was just as good. It's refreshing to find a place off the beaten path, that's not over saturated and delivers in all areas (customer service, decor, food quality, etc). We can't wait to return for brunch or dinner.

This is my second time going there . I love their food . The waiter was so nice and funny . This time around I tried different things . The gyro was good and flavorful. The salad was fresh . Also their bakery side omg , has a variety of coffee , wine and pastries . I will go back for sure to try more

    Chicken Souvlaki Pita

Finally ordered delivery from Estiatorio Plaka and I am so happy that I finally took the plunge. Take my feedback knowing that it was delivered! I got the chicken souvlaki pita and fries. The pita bread itself was amazingly flaky and buttered. I'm not sure if they make their own pita or it's just buttered to perfection but I could just eat the pita for days. The souvlaki had fries in it and honestly it would've been better for me without them so consider eating them in the side! The hand cut fries were a bit soggy but I attribute this to the delivery. I might skip the fries next time and try the potatoes that looked delicious!

Another excellent experience at Estiatorio Plaka! From our server who was absolutely amazing, kind, and attentive, to the delicious meals and beautiful setting. This restaurant is a must-try and also a must-revisit. Make sure you save room for dessert and check out their onsite bakery that has all of the best treats and eats to take on the go Cannot wait to go back again, again. Was a great celebration for a good friend.

GET HERE IMMEDIATELY! Came for the lunch special, then stayed for happy hour. Everything was so memorable. Drinks, food, dessert, customer service, ambiance, cleanliness, every single thing EXCEPT the limited parking. We ordered a lot: Pasta Rosa: 10/10 - extremely flavorful and a lot of chicken Avgolemomo soup: 7/10 - not super strong lemon taste as I expected. Still pretty good Oysters: 7/10 - some weird gristle on it, only half dozen Mini spinach & cheese pie: 10/10 - amazing flaky crust. Good filling. Feta fillo honey: 10/10 - a must try. Soooo good. Cheesecake Baklava: 10/10 - threw me off with how good it was. A must try. Ferrero bar: 8/10 Baklava: 10/10 Nutella bracelets: 9/10 Chocolate covered baklava: 10/10 Passion fruit crush: 10/10 Smokey Whiskey: 10/10 Mykonos Highball: 6/10 too syrupy

I love the ambiance of this restaurant! It is like you left Baltimore and are on vacation! I went on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. I had a great bartender and dinner. I went for lamb but decided to try one of the specials instead. It was the stuffed rockfish and it was filling and delicious. There are many more things on the menu that I want to try so I'll def be back.

It's a very small restaurant but the vibes were perfect - the staff really made us feel like family. They don't have large tables but they put a few together just for us. My heart was so overjoyed by that because I've been to places that will just split you up when that happens. The food was IMMACULATE. First off, most of the menu is already dietary restriction friendly (for people who don't eat pork or gluten or have nut allergies) -- but I was really impressed by our waitresses knowledge and her intuitiveness. We didn't have to ask, she went over everything unprompted to make sure everyone ordered comfortably. Secondly, whoever is in the kitchen needs TEN THOUSAND KISSES. Don't you dare skip the salad! So fresh and so good. The homemade dressing was perfect. Foodie hack: Add a piece of feta to your pita and drizzle dressing over it, trust me. The branzino OMG - this dish alone deserves Michelin stars. You get the whole fish (bone included) and it's cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious but I didn't eat much because I was so focused on the fish. I love that they let you do half rice/half potatoes if you're indecisive like me. Both were so flavorful, I couldn't pick a favorite. The roasted veggies were also pretty fire, they put some kind of sauce on them that really turned them up, I finished these first btw if you wanted an indicator of how good it was. I had a bite of one of my team members moussaka - definitely will order this when I'm looking for a heartier belly-warming meal. It's like a Greek lasagna. Another 10/10. All the desserts are made in house and you can tell. I thought I hated baklava, turns out I never had good baklava until yesterday. It was so warm and sweet and full of spice. We loved the custard and rice pudding as well! Premiere entrees and dessert for 5 people for $150 is unheard of! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and treat yourself (and loved ones) to this amazing authentic Greek spot.

She was taking care of the entire restaurant and at the same time was pleasant and helpful. We got the Greek salad and the gyro wraps. Both were good but quite Americanized. They don't come with fries but the fries were crispy and very good. If you want an American-style Greek salad and an American-style gyro, then this is the place for you. It's definitely not authentic like what you get in Greece. For example the salad has lettuce and comes with an Italian dressing and the gyro is not the juicy pork that you get in Greece but is the crispy-at-the-edges drier American-style gyro meat. It was very good, just not quite over the top to the five-star territory.

The calamari was perfectly breaded and crispy. The hummus had a great blend of garlic, parsley, a bit of cayenne and red chili flakes with lemon and paprika. All these ingredients make a plain hummus extra tasty. Our two main entrees consisted of the broiled Atlantic salmon with asparagus and Greek potatoes and the Yero plate containing rotisserie beef and lamb slices serviced over pita, with tzatziki, and salad. The salmon was impressively at the perfect temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire meal. The Yero plate had the best slices of beef and lamb. They were soft and absolutely well prepared. Our dinner was accompanied with two musicians who played lovely traditional Greek songs. The music was not too loud and we were able to have a nice conversation at our table. Service was a tad slow towards the end of our meal. We were seated in the basement and there was a time when not a single server was on the floor. Water service was lacking and odd -- we waited quite some time for a refill and when someone did come, only one of us got the refill when we both needed water! Still, I loved the food and atmosphere. Our waters never got filled again. Our server took our drink order right away, but took a long time to come back to take our food order. Despite that, we still got our drinks well after the appetizer came out. The next time we saw the server was when we were done eating. The food should have been better for the price as well. We shared the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer. The cheese was cold by the time it got to us, and the plate came with two small olives--just two. At that point, don't bother. I had the bronzini, which had a good flavor, but was mostly skin. There was very little fish attached to two filets. My wife had the scallops. The entree came with five or six (can't remember exactly) medium-sized scallops. My wife described them as "forgettable," with very little thought to presentation (some of the scallops were laying on their side on the plate. The asparagus was overcooked. Unfortunately we both left still kind of hungry, and definitely put off.

I chose the lunch gyro pita, which was overflowing with tender, perfectly spiced gyro meat, with just the right balance of tomatos, onions and feta cheese. Coulda been more tzatziki but I am kind of an addict to that stuff, so it was probably just the right amount. ;) I also ordered the fasolakia (green beans simmered in tomato sauce, but that doesn't begin to explain the complex mix of flavors and textures!) So delicious, with the beans still crispy tender, and a hint of cinnamon which I dont' recall having in this dish before. It was amazing! They serve every platter, sandwich and pita with a very hefty serving of giant steak fries. They had a nice seasoning but were more like house fries. In other places, "Greek fries" had a drizzle of oil and crumbled feta so I wasn't expecting these. But yum! Good enough to bring some home, because the air fryer will make them terrific again. In all, I was so delighted and really wish this wasn't such an out of the way place from home. I definitely will come back, despite that, because there are so many dishes I want to try. As others mentioned, lots of free parking but here's a quick word of caution if you use GPS to get here. When you exit from MD100 onto Executive Park, it will tell you to take the first left but DON'T DO IT! That's the M&T Bank parking lot. Go just a tad bit farther and don't be surprised by having to look a little because it's so like a business park.

Came here last Sunday for Father's Day! The restaurant is in a weird area, an office building with…read morea hotel nearby. I would say this is more of a 3.5, rather than a 4 star review, continue reading ... The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out, with blue lights throughout. We loved that! We sat outside and were happy that the patio area wasn't very hot and that the nice large umbrellas protected us from the sun and were lit up when it got dark. We started with Saganaki, which included pita. It was flambed table side and delicious, we all loved it. We also had Calamari, I don't eat it but husband and daughter really enjoyed it. For entrees, husband had the special (filet mignon w/crab cake and shrimp on top), that came with mash potatoes and veggies. The steak was good but undercooked, the crab cake was good. Daughter had the pasta, she didn't really love it. I had the lamb shank with orzo. I don't usually like lamb but it was very tender and didn't have the aftertaste that usually comes with lamb. The service was very good, waiter was very attentive, replenished waters often and made good suggestions. Although we liked the restaurant, we felt that as a Greek restaurant there should be more Greek styled pork, chicken dishes. We also felt that some items were overpriced, specialty dish was $75, rib eye was $68, lamb shank was $55, roasted chicken was $39, etc. We will not return for another dinner, but might consider going for lunch to get gyros and Saganaki.
