Cute little corner bar with a jukebox and nice drinks menu! Came on Saturday night around 10, it's a small place but seemed to have lots of standing room and folks moving in and out, we sat right away. There is a small food menu of a burger, fries, and fried chicken sandwich. Their drinks included cocktails, beer, and wine. We got cocktails and they were good but only 4 ingredients or so per drink and still $15+, a bit exorbitant. Overall I'd give it a chance if you're in the area!!

Really lovely bartender but unfortunately the stateman jukebox is out of service. You can roll the dice to get a beer and shot for $12. Nice signature cocktails!!!

Stumbled upon this bar on a late Wednesday afternoon to celebrate my wife achievement at work. Southpaw is located in fells point not too far from Whole Foods. Upon walking in you're introduced to low lighting cave vibes with a detailed bar and the owner welcoming you in. All drinks are well priced and curated well. I ordered a sazerac and a local recommended that this was his go too. It did not disappoint. The cognac blended well with the bitters and simple syrup making It go down smooth. My wife enjoyed her smash burger and fries and well. I will return to try their happy hour

I have been meaning to check out Southpaw for months and gladly stumbled in on a very cold, windy Saturday! The bartenders were very fun to talk to and the menu was very interesting. Not pictured, we got the Cobra Chai which was delish with the Szechuan amaro. The pomegranate mezcal cocktail was also very yummy. I loved the nostalgic decor and jukebox. It was decently packed for how cold it was outside! Love seeing cute cocktail bars like this doing well!

I truly enjoyed this spot. I came here with my husband for a late night dinner and drink date. I met Doug who is one of the owners, and he is very friendly and super kind I ordered the Sazerac with the Smashburger and I must say, I was very impressed. The food came out freshly cooked and piping hot! And the Sazerac was made to perfection. I really don't have any dislikes at all with this place. Will come back for sure!

I went there on a Friday night for a bday party. Parking: there was street parking nearby, but probably easier to uber/lyft there. Space: it was a nice cozy space. It wasn't really big but nice for an intimate gathering. There were about 30 people in there for the party and it was more then comfortable. Customer -Service-there we're two bartenders but they were still pretty quick with the orders and helpful. Food: they only have food on Fridays and Saturdays and the menu is limited to wings, burgers, and fries. I got a bun less burger and it was fine. Did it's job for a burger. The burger came with fries and they were delicious. Very well seasoned. I heard the wings were good. i didn't get anything to drink but the folks around me said the drinks were really good, so will have to try that next time.

New cocktail bar in the area! Owned by one of the people who opened Rye in Fells Point! This place is definitely fulfilling the chill cocktail bar vibe! It's in Fells, but not in the extra, party, thick of it all, a couple blocks down from the main area. It feels like a cozy, neighborhood bar! They have an always happy hour, where there a group of drinks for $9. The prices for great cocktails is amazing! I got the spicy marg and the surfer Rosa which were both great! They also have a ton of local beers and wine as well if that is what you prefer! I would highly recommend if you are trying to go to a place that's more lowkey, with incredible cocktails! They're hoping to add food soon, and I'm excited to go back when they do, but in the meantime, I'm excited to try some more cocktails on the menu!

Southpaw is a smallish, bright, comfortable, and friendly place to stop in for a drink or two. Their menu features around 8 specific cocktails, of which we tried a few, though I'm sure they can make many more. Their smoky Negroni was a big hit with us. I had the Commodore, which was refreshing, but I was expecting a bit more of a pomegranate presence, since it was advertised as one of the ingredients. It's in a very convenient location as a destination while you are going through Fells Point and Upper Fells Point.

Chill neighborhood bar in the Harbor East/Fells Point area. If you are looking for a local establishment, I was told that the owner has over 20 years of experience and many of the drinks have a local flair to them. I came with some friends to catch up at a four top table. Pretty small establishment as most rowhomes turned bar/restaurants are, the full bar and tables probably seat 20-30 people tops. They do have a jukebox but sadly it is not working at the moment. They are adding some more food to the menu, when I went they had a hamburger meal available but I had already eaten dinner so did not get to test it out, hopefully they have a full kitchen up and running soon. Will definitely check it out again when I want to have a low key night with friends.

The service from the bartenders was not so great or welcoming. When I asked about the espresso martini and asked for it without lavender, the bartender made way too big of a deal. The espresso martini is pre-made. I opted for a vodka soda and it was pretty hard to drink. The menu feels limited. They do not have pineapple, Red Bull, or many other popular mixes. Positively, prices are very good, especially compared to the other bars in the area. There's a back area, sort of like a dinning room, with little booths for those wishing for some privacy. The red lights gives the bar that good old 1920s (prohibition) feel. I felt at any moment the authorities would swing through the door forcing us to hide our drinks. **Wild thoughts** Kyle made a cocktail he's "been working on" and he needs to put that shxt on the menu asap! So delicious. It was late night and I stayed here about an hour (closed the spot ha) and I was able to enjoy a mini impromptu concert by another patron Ebony, as Kyle was sweet enough to play some of her music. All in all, a perfect end to my evening. High recommendation for Rye. The End.

No bartender in sight, no other patrons, no background noise. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we were in the right place. The bar is down a flight of stairs, tucked into the basement, and it's notable because it's Fells Point's only and possibly first basement bar, which already gives it serious character points. We waited near the bar for a few minutes, heard nothing, saw no one, and eventually started heading back up the stairs to leave. That's when Steve, the bartender, literally came after usnot in a weird way, but in a very human, "Hey! Sorry about that, I was in the stock room come back in!" way. And honestly? From that moment on, the experience completely flipped. Steve was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. He's worked there for 18 years, and once we sat down, he turned the bar into a living history lesson. He shared stories about Fells Point, Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe, the building itself, and all the ghost stories tied to the space. He also told us about the celebrities who've passed through, including the fun detail that Blake Shelton once sat in the very bar stool I was sitting in and ordered a Bullet bourbon. Naturally, that kind of trivia just adds to the charm. Drink-wise, I ordered an Angry Orchard, and my friend had a single Tito's with cranberry and soda water. Our total was $26.16, which feels pretty standard for Baltimore definitely not cheap, but not shocking either. The bar itself is small, intimate, and packed with atmosphere exposed brick, low ceilings, and that cozy, historic, slightly haunted vibe you hope for in a basement bar. It's also connected to The William Fell Inn hotel through a separate entrance, which makes it feel like a hidden secret rather than a tourist stop. We loved the history, the stories, the ghosts, the setting and especially Steve. Being the only patrons that night was actually a gift, because it let us really soak it all in. That said, we're absolutely planning to come back on a busy night to see how the energy shifts when it's full. If you love historic bars, good storytelling, and places that feel like they've seen things Anchor Bar is a must. ‍
