Eh - I used to like this bar a lot more but the cocktails are just average and pricey. This is located inside of the Pendry hotel, and I will say I was very sad when they didn't open after Covid for a few years, so I was happy it came back a couple years ago. I just went in over the weekend and was underwhelmed by the cocktails and the bar back that they had yes it's more whiskey focused but it's lacking certain ingredients. The service is pretty average nothing super special although the bar team is decently accommodating. The ambience is really cool. The entire room is decorated like you're inside of a barrel and I think if you are a big whiskey person, you'll probably enjoy trying the different whiskeys although I didn't see a huge huge selection, but I could be wrong.

The Cannon Room inside the Pendry Hotel in Fells Point (Baltimore) is a great setting for a cocktail. The bar's arching ceiling, warm wooden paneling and lush rotating chairs make for an upscale experience, rounded out by an historic 1800s cannon muzzle framed for patrons beneath the bar's floor entryway. Though the bar is stocked with a variety of liquors, a look at the menu confirms that this is a whiskey bar with about 50 bourbons and ryes to choose from. The Autumn Leaves cocktail was a nice signature drink and complemented our first round of Old Fashions.

Their boozy tea is such a fun twist on high tea, cocktail-centric vs bubbles and a bit more casual than your traditional tea. They had a series of three tea-based cocktails paired with sweet and savory bites. All delicious! Indoor and outdoor seating (next time I'd consider requesting outdoor seating at booking, it was a bit dark inside). I will definitely be back.

Listen! I have been going to the Cannon Room for years now (speakeasy like space within the Pendry Hotel) and although it can be a pricey at times, it is a great space to bring a small group of friends or a solo date for a night cap after frolicking the Baltimore streets. I love the moody intimate space and all of the vintage decor. The service has always been top tier and I could recommend so many decadent drinks. But check out this beautiful rose stamped old fashion!

What a cool kinda "speakeasy" at the Pendry! We tried an assortment of the whiskey based cocktails and enjoyed a nice intimate gathering of friends. What I like the most is the decor and the seating - very cozy and elegant. The bartenders are so skilled at making cocktails, I love talking to them about their experiences. Overall, a great whiskey bar!

This hidden gem is so chill. It's located inside the Sagamore. Ambiance is perfect. I went on a Monday evening and there was only 2 ppl at the bar. (Just how I like it). Cocktails were not cheap, but I already know how these spots are. Bartender was nice and professional. I tried their burger and fries, 10/10. I'll def be visiting again ASAP!

I'm going to call The Cannon Room a hidden gem, because you might not know about it (without reading about it on Yelp, of course). Even once we got inside the Sagamore Pentry, we had to ask for directions to the Cannon Room anyway, because it's tucked away in the back. But the ambiance, the comfort, the decor, and the whiskey selections are all top notch. There are some very good surprise finds on the menu, but unfortunately others know about them, and we were told some of those are often gone within a week. Customers not staying at the hotel will have to start a tab with a charge card. If you're looking for a higher-end whiskey experience in the area, this is your place.

Such a cute spot to get drinks in Baltimore. This hotel bar is hidden in the back of the hotel and it has really good cocktails! I love the maple thyme old fashion. It had a perfect mix of sweetness and I liked the touch of thyme flavor. Also the sorrel mule was good! It was fizzy and it had a really gingery flavor which I loved. They have bourbon tasting which was fun too! Such a fun place to hang out with friends for a night!

Such an intimate cozy spot for a nightcap. I loved the cozy and upscale vibe of this place. The service was super friendly. I think this is the perfect spot for a date night night cap. It's very intimate and romantic. Seating is limited but it wasn't too crowded when I went.

We stumbled upon this gem after a ghost tour. The ambiance is inviting and warm. Service was excellent. Upon ordering a beverage, we were told they were out of it, so we ordered two other drinks. A few minutes later, we were told the bartender made a mistake, and they could, in fact, make the requested drink. And a moment after that, said beverage appeared on the table. They were all quite yummy. The seating is comfortable, so grab a drink and stay a while.

We decided to stop here on a whim. The atmosphere was awesome! It is a beautiful cozy / intimate room. The drinks were great. The patio area outside of this room is absolutely stunning at night.

Let me tell you! This place is uber fancy, more than the likes of me. But! A buddy and I popped in for a pint, and it was a great experience. Sat down and our server Jessica was amazing! Had good recommendations and she was knowledgeable. Management... give her a raise! I'll be telling all my colleagues about this place if we ever need to host a business meet. Can't wait until we come back. Thanks jessica!

Came on a Friday evening for a drink with my fiance and our friends, as we were visiting them for the wknd. Service was efficient and friendly, the room was romantic / cozy. Drinks are a lil expensive, but really tasty. I loved my last word cocktail. The truffle fries were out of bounds - could've had those to myself for dinner!! I sat along the couch area to the right just as you walk in, and I'm 100% docking a star because the pillows in that area are literally the most uncomfortable pillows I've ever touched in my life. I had visible scratches on my arms from these pillows (insert crying laughing face here)...I ended up having my friend move them to the floor bc I just couldn't. They look nice but holy smokes we need some function over fashion in this scenario. Long story short - come for a cocktail & truffle fries, wear sleeves.

The service from the bartenders was not so great or welcoming. When I asked about the espresso martini and asked for it without lavender, the bartender made way too big of a deal. The espresso martini is pre-made. I opted for a vodka soda and it was pretty hard to drink. The menu feels limited. They do not have pineapple, Red Bull, or many other popular mixes. Positively, prices are very good, especially compared to the other bars in the area. I would like to go back and try the food because it smelled amazing and hopefully find something better to drink on the menu that I like!

There's a back area, sort of like a dinning room, with little booths for those wishing for some privacy. The red lights gives the bar that good old 1920s (prohibition) feel. I felt at any moment the authorities would swing through the door forcing us to hide our drinks. **Wild thoughts** Kyle made a cocktail he's "been working on" and he needs to put that shxt on the menu asap! So delicious. It was late night and I stayed here about an hour (closed the spot ha) and I was able to enjoy a mini impromptu concert by another patron Ebony, as Kyle was sweet enough to play some of her music. All in all, a perfect end to my evening. High recommendation for Rye. The End.

We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.

Knowing a spring Friday evening would likely be busy, we wisely made reservations in advance. Upon arrival, the restaurant was buzzing with energy, yet we were seated promptly at a window-side table offering a beautiful view of the harbor and the fading colors of sunset. Service throughout the evening was polished, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our server, KJ, walked us through the menu with concise yet thoughtful descriptions of several dishes and their flavor profiles, while also offering cocktail and entrée recommendations. We followed several of his suggestions and were glad we did. I chose the Bygone Daisy while my companion ordered the Back Alley Blues. Both cocktails were beautifully presented, balanced, and genuinely delicious -- so much so that we each ordered a second round, which is somewhat rare for us. To begin, we shared a dozen oysters and a Caesar salad before moving on to Dover sole for my friend and the filet for myself, along with an order of mac and cheese for the table. The oysters themselves were excellent: chilled, fresh, and flavorful. However, the accompanying sauces didn't quite rise to the same level. The cocktail sauce lacked the horseradish punch we prefer, the mignonette leaned a bit too heavily into vinegar, and the hot sauce, while decent, felt somewhat ordinary by comparison. Still, the quality of the oysters carried the dish overall. The Caesar salad was perhaps the evening's weakest note -- a rather modest portion of roughly chopped romaine hearts with decent dressing and cheese, though the anchovies were particularly good and appreciated by my dining companion. KJ paced the meal exceptionally well, checking in thoughtfully without ever hovering, and we were also greeted by a manager who seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests enjoyed their experience. Our entrées arrived just as the sunset painted the harbor in vivid evening color, which certainly elevated the moment. My filet was tender and enjoyable, though slightly below my preferred medium-rare temperature. The Dover sole, which I sampled for the first time, was excellent -- delicately crisp on the exterior with a rich buttery lemon sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. The mac and cheese was flavorful, though just a touch dry; a creamier finish would have made it more memorable. We ended the evening with the Peanut Butter Bar, crème brûlée, and an espresso martini. The desserts ranged from pleasant to good rather than exceptional, though the ice cream accompanying the Peanut Butter Bar was easily the standout bite of the trio. Overall, The Bygone delivers exceptional service, expertly crafted cocktails, and one of the best dining views in the city. The food itself ranged from good to occasionally very good, though not always at the level its premium pricing suggests. Certainly worth experiencing at least once for the atmosphere and hospitality alone, even if it may not become an immediate repeat destination given the many outstanding dining options in the area.
