This spot has been on my list for the last 3 or 4 years. I finally decided to go when I saw it was right next door the auto shop I took my car to recently. The staff here was very nice. I had a several questions for 3 different staff members I encountered and they were all happy to answer my questions and had good energy. The burger I got was unique and very much a craft burger. They have a lot of dry-aged meats here (including their burger), and I thought it was good and still a little juicy. The fries were average fries. I also got an orange crush that was also good, a cider, and sampled their slushies. They have a strawberry bourbon slushie I really liked. I would have ordered it but it was strong and I had already gotten the crush, so I'll just have to come back for it. The other slushie was a coffee one and I'm not a huge coffee person, but if you like coffee, you'd probably like that. Children are allowed here until 7 pm I believe. Unfortunately, they do not do tours (anymore). I'd like to see them bring this back because I'm always interested in the process and also hearing about how things are produced. You order food on one side (and can also order cocktails on that side too) but the beers and others are ordered on the brewery side. My friend and I were looking for a boozy brunch, and this spot was recommended. It was a 9 out of 10. I highly recommend it! My food was delicious. I always enjoy my time at the Garden. We need more spaces like this is in Baltimore. Thursday is my favorite day to go because the happy hour runs from 5-7 downstairs and 5-8 upstairs (live band upstairs). I love that there are so many different vibes within the one space. If you want something more quiet, downstairs is the way to go. If you want a bit more noise and energy, then upstairs is the way to go. Hookah is only available upstairs. Dani and Tiffanie always provide great service! Drinks are always on crafted beautifully. I have yet to be disappointed in any of the food I've tried. read more

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and a complimentary glass of champagne as it was Valentine's Day. For starters, my best friend ordered the fried catfish bites 10 out of 10! Perfectly seasoned and fried to a nice golden brown. To drink, I chose the Garden Drop, which is their take on the lemon drop. They offer a variety of flavors and my hostess recommended the peach. Yum...it was really good and if I had time, I would have gotten another, highly recommend. For my entrée I had to go with the grilled lamb chops and man they didn't miss. They had a nice char, seasoned and cooked as requested - medium well (light pink for me). For my sides I had to try their mac and cheese and sauteed spinach. Both sides didn't miss the spinach was not overly cooked, I could taste garlic and it just melted in my mouth. Now for dessert.....they had a banana bread pudding and baaaaabbbbeeeeee I think I would've slapped my mama for another slice of this. We had such a phenomenal time the first time there, yet when we went for a birthday the vibe was a little different. We did go on a Friday night, which was awesome. Be sure that you go early so that if you need to find parking you can do that. They do have a valley service right directly next to the restaurant but you gotta pull in and use your cash app or Venmo in order to pay for parking which is $10. We made reservations for three thinking that we would get the main dining room on the first floor, but we did not. We were seated in the bar area dining section. That's not bad if you want to be separated from what's taking place yet it's tight. It's bar top tables and of course you're battling with the waitresses, surveying both the bar and the bar dining area. The food came out quickly. Because this was a birthday celebration they did bring out birthday dessert for the table to share which was really great. We got the chicken wings for appetizers and two of us got the salmon dish and the other got the lamb dish. All dishes are at least $25 up. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was pretty good although the portions were way smaller than before. The thing that got us this time around was they required dress code and we saw plenty of people who were not abiding by the dress code. We will definitely give it another try. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!! A lot of black owned businesses make it hard for their own to support them mostly due to greed and inflated prices. They have Zero parking, so if it's raining you may have to walk blocks to reach this place without an umbrella OR take the risk of unofficially checking it and if you forget it, it's on you. Stay for a couple of hours the food and service were just ok and overly priced (especially for an establishment that does not allow umbrellas) Once home I realized that I had forgotten to get my umbrella ( maybe because when I left it was not raining and also I had a couple drinks) I called the restaurant to advise and the lady that answered the phone said she would take my number and call me back which she did the next day to state that no one located it (that was the end of it for her) I said could you have the manager to call me so we can resolve the matter, she agreed. 2 weeks when by and no one called, I called back and spoke to a gentleman with an African/Caribbean accent who was extremely rude, would not give me his name and blamed me because I forgot the umbrella (Zero accountability) I again asked to have a manager to call me, after 1 week I still did not receive a call. I went on their website and sent an email for which I received a response. I explained to the manager that I'm not looking for any monetary reimbursement just a replacement umbrella, she told me that there wasn't anything that they could do because security was doing me a favor (really?) If I would have taken my umbrella in with me, I wouldn't have forgotten it furthermore, if someone take possession of someone's belongings, they are responsible for that item until its returned/picked up in a reasonable time. I'm pretty upset that after being overcharge for mediocre food/drinks that I now have to foot the bill for a new umbrella that THEY mishandled. I would have taken a used or even one from dollar tree. The lower level has a full bar with a lovely range of quality drink options not just rale or mid shelf. They have an extended dining room past the hostess stand which was cute. The food items were very tasty and well presented. Omg, I loved it here. Downstairs is the beautiful restaurant, and upstairs is the enclosed rooftop. The food was so good. I got the branzino and Mac n cheese on the side. I have been meaning to check this place out for a while but hadn't gotten around to it. This morning, my friend recommended we go for brunch. Firstly, this venue is stunning... beautiful velvet furniture, beautiful wall art, beautiful people, and very keen attention to every detail! The only recommendation I would make here is to have regular lighting to spotlight the ambiance, rather than nightclub lighting. Service: I almost didn't go here bc the lady who answered the phone was a bit rude and rushed us. She wasn't sounded frustrated and responded to us with what and other informal communication that isn't indicative of good customer service; however, my friend was adamant that we come as to not let one person's attitude ruin the whole of the experience. Glad I listened. Everyone else's customer service was exceptional! Our waitress, Rayna, was so attentive, kind, helpful, and I loved her energy! The food was an 8 of 10. The catfish was fresh but the batter lacked in flavor. This place was a whole Thursday night vibe. The DJ was FIRE and the drinks are so, so good. Came here for a very impromptu date with someone who pronounces "you" like "yewwww" (no comment). We had no reservations and stood at the bar the entire night. In some places, that might lend itself to a trash experience, but honestly, the drinks and the music and the ambiance were so good here that I enjoyed myself. Have had two drinks as I'm writing this post- if you like dark liqueurs, try the Purple Reign, Morning Glory and the Sicilian Bliss- nice and refreshing. The citrusy taste is it! Service is great- had a great bartender who was very available at all times and made sure everyone was taken care of. All of the bartenders are very attentive, no one has to wait for anything. I am happy to report that whatever bugs they needed to work out upon first opening (they've been open less than a year!) have been fully worked out. We are not casual diners, dine out frequently at note-worthy establishments, and are not easy to impress. However, my choosy party of 4 had an amazing experience here for brunch, that made us eager to make the journey back up 95 ( we're DC folk) for dinner. We were one of the first tables to be seated but the staff was bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready to go from the hostess to the bartender (who only served us water, but was pleasant and congenial nonetheless), to our FLAWLESS server, Alaysia (yes, FLAWLESS) who made our experience absolutely top tier. Alaysia knows the menu like she wrote it herself, made thoughtful recommendations, and sought insight and clarity when she was unsure of answers to a question. For the entire meal, she was attentive without being overbearing, anticipatory of our needs, and kept our water glasses filled (IYKYK). The kitchen was amenable to all of our substitution requests (they were nothing crazy, but y'all know how places can be) and all of our food came out piping hot. Speaking of food...delicious! We ordered the lamb hash (one w/ egg and one with egg on the side), a plain waffle, the bronzino, and a lobster Mac and cheese for the table. Every plate looked like a murder scene when we were done. The lamb hash comes with a lamb shank that's so well prepared the meat slipped right off the bone into the perfectly prepared potatoes and peppers that complete the hash. My friends would have liked more salt in the Mac and cheese, but I thought it was wonderful as I prefer most of my flavor to come from the cheese. Nevertheless, the entire table enjoyed it! The waffle was fluffy and fantastic! I also appreciated being able to order the waffle a la carte so again the entire table was able to taste and enjoy it. My friend and I both enjoyed one cocktail a piece and they were again amenable to making a substitution that my friend and I have grown to enjoy. The cocktail was well made and I would confidently return just for cocktails as the bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable. By now, you're probably thinking I must be a friend of the house. NOPE! This restaurant opened about 2 months ago. I was in a party of 5. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and wait staff was friendly End it was very good at making recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The food left a lot to be desired. I had blackened rainbow trout with rice and peas and candied carrots as my sides. The rice and peas were slightly under salted and the candied carrots were sweet and savory. One person in my party had a lobster hamburger and it was OK. Another person had blackened salmon and didn't care for it because the seasonings were too heavy and it was slightly overcooked. Another person had a Caesar salad with salmon and it was fine. After we ate we went upstairs to the lounge to check it out and it was cool if you're looking for a hookah/cigar bar. It also has a retractable roof top which I'm sure is nice in the warm months but given that it is now late October it wasn't open. We didn't know what to expect when going to Garden Rooftop but what a hidden sexy gem in the heart of Mt. Vernon! Upon walking in we were greeted by the hostess who showed us to our table.
