Blooms is a cool spot off the beaten path in the Mount Vernon neighborhood. The old school vibe with pink low lighting sets a very cool tone for the space. The drinks are good a little pricy but worth having 1-2 for a night out.

I recently checked out Bloom's after hearing great things from a fellow Yelp elite, and I had a fantastic time! The decor really stood out with its fun Vegas vibe. We arrived early, but finding street parking was a bit tricky; thankfully, we managed to make it work. Bloom's is tucked away inside The Ulysses Hotel in a cozy corner. The drinks were delicious, although they took a little while to arrive since the place was buzzing with activity. We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and the house-made potato chips--they were a nice snack in between our drinks. Our server was really polite and helpful with drink suggestions & my espresso martini was on point. Overall, Bloom's has such a relaxed atmosphere, and I can definitely see myself coming back for more.

I've been to Bloom's so many times, I cannot believe I've never reviewed it! Bloom's and the Hotel Ulysses are some of my top places in Baltimore! The funky vibe makes this one of the most interesting cocktail bars. The couches and the mirrors are so retro and cool. The drinks do take a while to be made but the service is great and the drinks are always so unique here.

This is Mom favorite nightcap for an espresso martini. The drinks are good. The customer service is good and parking is isn't hard to find

Blooms is a classy, dimly lit bar located inside Hotel Ulysses. I had gotten the Spring Fling cocktail ($16), which had lavender, honey, butterfly pea, lemon and vodka and sparkling wine. It was not overly sweet, but very light and refreshing. I also tried the Jamila ($14), which had a rose infused tequila, cucumber, lime, and honey. For me this cocktail resembled a floral margarita with a unique addition of cucumbers. Our server, Mason, was very kind. He constantly checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed and made sure that our water was always filled. Bloom's does also serve some light snacks like a cheese plate, shrimp cocktail, house made chips, marinated olives, and roasted almonds. Cocktails range from $14 to $18. There is limited street parking in the area as well.

Very cute spot for drinks! There was also a live band when I visited. Service was good. Our server made some good recommendations, and even got us an off menu drink based on what we said we liked.

I visited Bloom's Cocktail Bar with two friends. The bar is nestled within the Ulysses Hotel in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. The ambiance immediately captivated us with its plush pink sofas, warm accent lighting, and a reflective wrap-around bar, it was giving 1920s cabaret glamour. The cocktail menu was both inventive and not too overwhelming. I ordered a smoky concoction with reposado tequila, and mezcal. Unfortunately I don't remember the name but balance of flavors was perfect. Pricing was in line with what you would anticipate at an upscale cocktail lounge. Bloom's was a great starting point for our night out in Mount Vernon, setting a sophisticated tone for the evening.I highly recommend blooms to anyone seeking a chic spot for expertly crafted cocktails in Baltimore.

Bloom Bar is such a vibe! The ambiance is sexy, stylish, and perfect for a night out. The drinks are strong, well-crafted, and absolutely worth it. What really stood out, though, was the staff--not only are they super cool, but their unique style and intricate tattoos sparked some great conversations. We even talked about the stories behind them and LGBTQ rights, which made the experience feel real and authentic. I love when a place creates space for people to be themselves--it adds so much to the energy. Can't wait to come back!

*Updated Review* I've been several times since my first visit almost two years ago! It's always a great time here. The service is top tier. Marcello was great! Thank you! Was celebrating a friend's birthday yesterday and they were very accommodating of the large group. I love the vibe. I love a good speakeasy and this one is nice. My favorite cocktail is the fuel mejor (mezcal based) and it's very good! They currently have some special holiday cocktails. The eggnog one was a hit with our group. Definitely add this place to your list if you haven't been.

Such a cool cocktail bar! It's like you walked into a 70's lounge. Red velvet and mirrors everywhere! Lol The wait staff is very attentive and they regularly have live jazz. One of my favorite places for drinks in Baltimore

Last minute decision to go out for drinks. We made reservations for 9 and were promptly seated. At first glance I was impressed. I actually thought it looked dark and sexy. We asked for recommendations for the drinks and the waitress provided a couple options. Neither of us thought our drinks were great but mine was more palatable. We attempted to order some munchies from the very limited menu. We were told that the kitchen was closed. So we chose from the 3 of the available options, olives and chips (nuts were the other option). So the chips were like regular potato chips . I would say roughly a 1.50 cent bag of chips. No gourmet chip, hust plain chips. And the olives were a tiny little bowl of these greasy olives. Most of them nothing but puts. I understand a limited menu and I've had bar snacks. They could do much better than this. They sell gourmet potato chips and you can get nice olives anywhere. I keep better ones in my own pantry. In terms of the service. It was ok. We were told when we arrived that there was a 90 'minute sitting period and there was no chance of us even needing half that time. The ambiance was the best part ... I would not return . Not a fan. Incredible ambiance - dark, elegant interior with fantastic lounge seating. We came for a pre-show cocktail before walking over to the Lyric. Blooms was the perfect kick off to a nice evening. The server told at arrival they had a 90 minute max sitting period. All good with us. I appreciate that their menu had something for everyone - from cocktails and champagne to a $3 miller. Sometimes when a place is this cute their menu can be pretentious - not the case here. The cheese plate was delicious! However my Through The Looking Glass cocktail, was not good. Our group did get a big laugh over how hard the menu was to read. Small cursive on sparkly paper in a very dark room.

Yes. This is the lounge I've been waiting for in the Baltimore area! The setting is exquisite, the seats are loungey and the whole vibe is phenomenal. Beyond the delicious drinks and overall amazing aesthetics in the bar, what I *love* is how they keep the guest capacity low. It creates a more private, relaxed, intimate and comfortable place to catch a drink and take it all in.

Is this place good for groups of 8 people?

Yes It is, as the couch in the lounge area is one continuous piece of furniture lining the back wall and the stool like chairs are opposite the couch. Your party would be able to fit comfortably and have nice conversation.

The decor was sexy and very exclusive, felt like a speakeasy vibes as the decor transported you into another era. It was magical Service was good, our waitress was really helpful with recommending good drinks. This was a post dinner bar visit so we mainly had drinks and added a few treats: colossal shrimp cocktail and warm butter cake. The colossal shrimp cocktail contained some of the largest prawns that I've ever had. They were fresh and perfectly prepared but one was enjoy to fill you up. The warm butter cake was sinfully good! Warm, soft, and sweet. The drinks were AMAZING! I ordered the Recurrence Eternal which contained gin, pear, and champagne. There were other ingredients in there but I wanted to spotlight these few. This was the perfect drink which will creep up on you LOL but it was sooooooooooo good. My boyfriend enjoyed his whiskey drink as well. I have never been splashed in the face during the shaking of a drink that was being made by the bartender. The bartender was of a different race and seemed annoyed by my presence from the jump. I had been splashed in the face twice until a customer of his race came and sat next to me. I did pay attention to his behavior while the woman was seated next to me and his drink mixing wasn't as aggressive. I had to go to the bathroom during my visit and told him I would pay before going to the bathroom so he wouldn't make any assumptions about me. I asked him to keep my drink behind the bar because the woman was still seated next to me. I came back and the woman eventually left. I was still finishing my drink and I was splashed 2 additional times. The last time I made him aware of what he was doing. His apology was disingenuous and passive aggressive. I left after this even though I had intentions on ordering desert and listening to the musicians that were about to get started. I did inform the manager about my experience prior to leaving. I'm leaving the review bc the experience still bothers me. If they have cameras at the bar I'm sure my reaction to the splashing can be observed.

I felt at any moment the authorities would swing through the door forcing us to hide our drinks. **Wild thoughts** Kyle made a cocktail he's "been working on" and he needs to put that shxt on the menu asap! I went an hour early before everyone else was supposed to be there to get on the waitlist, but the wait was until 10 pm!! So I quickly switched gears and called Benny's because I've heard great things about them. The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.
