    Grilled pork ribeye
    Shaelyn H.

My boyfriend and I visited for restaurant week during lunch and enjoyed our meal. The crab and corn chowder was tasty but it could've been warmer. I really enjoyed my grilled pork ribeye with peach and jalapeño purée and broccolini. My boyfriend got the lobster and shrimp Mac n cheese which was a little too soupy for his liking. We also tried the white sangria and watermelon crush which were both good. The service overall was pretty quick and the ambiance is nice.

My fiancé and I normally love blackwall hitch but we left so disappointed this last time. We had 4 out of a dozen oysters rotten. One was visibly grey and desiccated and made it up to us, it made the entire table smell disgusting. The other 3 looked okay visually, but smelled rotten. I've never had an issue with oysters here before. I'm not sure if the shuckers were having an off day, but man. I was so disappointed! We were seated upstairs and our service was also lacking a bit, not getting refills quickly, etc. definitely not the best time!

We had such a great experience at Blackwall Hitch! The atmosphere was incredible--historic, unique, and full of character while still feeling warm and inviting. It was the perfect spot to enjoy Baltimore before heading to our concert. I ordered the Crab Eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely amazing--easily one of the best brunch dishes I've had. The flavors were delicious, the portions were generous, and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent as well. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Baltimore!

While the name of this restaurant is basic and easily forgotten, the food and service are worth remembering. Party of 6 (2 children under 7) came in after visiting the science music conveniently located nearby (also worth a visit). Friendly hostess led us immediately to waiting table. Server took our order and come back two times. Kids food was brought out right away. Anyone with hangry children dearly appreciate this thought and execution. Adult orders quickly followed. One of the better restaurants I've been to in a while. Tuna tartar was fresh and tasty (little light on the chips, but we're still friends) and burger was excellent and cooked right. Little more pricey than some other places but it's a nice clean and well appointed restaurant. This is an example of paying for and actually getting the value you paid. Kudos to staff who killed it.

First visit to this Baltimore restaurant. Paid street parking, well lit street, and a prime corner location, Open Table reservation, seated immediately by hostess in 2 level restaurant with great ambiance, large windows with great view of street traffic, loud noise level on the first floor due to one table near us, food served in a timely fashion, delicious entrees - small cesar salad, fried cod, shrimp, French fries, grilled pork chop, sweet potato purée, grilled broccolini, and chocolate torte. 5/5 MY ISSUE: As my party prepared to leave through main entrance after we finished dinner, a sign blocked the main entrance and directed us to exit through bar entrance. I turned back around to photograph the signage, while my party headed to the bar exit door. When I turned back to leave, a manager coming down the stairs glaring at me asked me, "Is everything all right?" Me: Yes, I was taking a pic. Manager: I know. I wanted to know if everything is ok. Still in same weird vein, like a dog with a fav chew toy. Me: Is there a problem with me taking a pic? Manager: I didn't ask you why you were taking a pic. I wanted to know if something was wrong. You were over there taking a pic and the hostess wasn't there. Sidebar: This same manager passed our table at least 3 times during our visit with no greeting, nor stopping by our table to check in with a little small talk. NOW....he asks me is something wrong nary a smile but with a .....what in the world is she doing. Me: YES, this is petty. No, you asked me if something was wrong BECAUSE I was taking a pic. If I needed something, then I'd ask the waiters at the next stand (only a few tables away) You saw us sitting at the table at the entrance and never spoke to us once. I will never return! RUDE MANAGER Interaction 0/5 Note: All managers, stop by each diner's table, greet customers with a smile, DON'T be obnoxious and rude. THANK patrons, APOLOGIZE when something goes wrong, always say COME BACK AND SEE US! FYI: Manager for your information, I'm a Yelper. I enjoy leaving honest and detailed feedback on places I visit. My time and money are valuable to me as I curate adventures. This was most definitely not one of those times!

I had a great experience here last year and came back. It was just as I remembered and had an equally awesome experience. Shout out to our server Leo who was the best and had great recommendations. The host and other staff were just as sweet. Anytime I'm in the inner harbor, Blackwall Hitch will always be an option... I mean guys, my beet salad was chock full of beets and not greens topped with a few beets! Love this place!

My family and I were spending the day in Baltimore, from out of town. And I booked a reservation at this place based on their views. I was very very happy we chose this place, we came on a weekend around lunchtime. I was so happy that the menu offered a variety of dishes. We got lots of different dishes, and some items to share. And everything was delicious. The service was excellent! I also really liked the warm and friendly ambiance. There are a lot of restaurants in the Baltimore downtown area, and I would highly recommend this one.

Blackwall is very cute but they not quick to buss tables or clean floors after guests. We were seated next to a family that had crayons and food on the floor , crying toddlers ... I was a bit irritated but I ordered a glass of wine and the family magically disappeared. Our server appeared to be having a bad day at work. We could feel his somber energy and he actually left work before we paid the bill. The good was good and hot but honestly we didn't order anything fancy . Wings, cornbread, fries, broccolini, and a Caesar salad . The Caesar came with a fried cheese disc on top . It was cute but I'd rather fresh Parmesan . We ate those apps and left pretty quickly. Blackwall Hitch needed some sage and a prayer that afternoon. I hope they have better days.

Really delicious Sunday brunch. One taco and one tuna tartare--both yummy. Two of us are gluten intolerant. Only two options were available at lunch, both salads. However Will, the server, worked with us to allow us to have other options, like shrimp and grits without the creole sauce. He is a real gem! Great ambience as well with jazz on sax.

This place I'm not sure if it's tied with the other locations. The ambiance is big ! Two floors and they have lunchtime specials. The drinks were good but the crab dip was a little disappointing. For a place known for seafood I just thought it was too creamy personal preference I suppose. Opted for a salad and that raised my review. The bathrooms were clean, staff was great and checked in multiple times. I cannot complain that this place I would return to again.

I made a visit with my friend for Restaurant Week.. We enjoyed the entire moment .. From when we entered this establishment and was greeted by an employee who ensured we were seated.. Our server was very attentive & polite.. I ordered the crab & corn chowder..Filet & Peach Bread Pudding.. I also ordered a Mango Margarita.. 1st off let get into the Mango Margarita was very tasty & made well The crab & corn chowder was a 1st for me.. It was very tasty & delicious.. Made with crab, corn potatoes & bacon. my friend order her starter and got the Pork Belly.. She enjoyed it & said that it was tender.. The filet was made to perfection served with seasoned mashed potatoes & mushrooms.. The Peach Bread Pudding was delicious as well.. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean & very mellow.. Not too busy with a nice mellow array of music.. This was my 1st visit here & wont be the last..

Ask the Community - Blackwall Hitch

Can the restaurant accommodate for allergens? Ie - dairy and nut allergies?

Yes but ask to be sure

How close is this restaurant to the water?

It's very close! You can walk across the street and you will be at the water. It also depends on where you want to be or go, but it's located in the Inner Harbor, close to Shot Tower and Philips, which is right on the water.

Do you have large male steamed crabs, how much is a half bushel?

We do not have steamed crabs

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes absolutely- you can certainly customize plates too to not include animal product or meats!

Is there a children's menu? Is this place okay to bring children?

They do have a kids menu

Does Blackwall Hitch have outdoor seating during the winter months? If so, do they have heaters?

We do not currently have outdoor seating. However, once the weather breaks we will have our patio in use. We look forward to see you soon.

Are happy hour specials available for carry out during COVID-19?…

No they are not open, the place was boarded up when I went past there last Sunday

How much is the brunch and is it all you can eat?

I think it is 40 or 39.95 similar to Phillips seafood. It is a buffet. Not sure if there is a time limit but judge all you can eat. They do not have regular menu even At bar after 1pm on Sundays if wang to watch game

Is this a good place to celebrate graduation?

The food is amazing and they have plenty of drinks available. However, the seating is open, so they may not have private rooms as other restaurants if desired.

Do I have to reserve a table?

They do take reservations, but are happy to see you without them.

Is the brunch buffet worth it for 39.99? Is there a mimosa special?

The Buffett is nice, there are no specials for mimosas they are $2 a piece and watch the other drinks the tea is sold separately from the shot of alchohol you would want in it so drinks can add up quickly

Do they have unlimited mimosas for brunch ? How much extra is that?

    Not unlimited. $2 per mimosa.

What are the happy hour specials?

Unfortunately it's not up on the website anymore to give you exact details but I can tell you it was almost all the apps half off and good drink specials the bar was packed. You won't be disappointed if you go there. There was also music.

Where is the best place to park for this place?

Hello all! We have discounted parking in the pier 5 garage across the street. Anytime during your visit you may ask the hostess for a parking validation ticket ($12!)

How much is the brunch buffet?

    $39.99!

Is this location fully open yet? And if not anyone know when?

    Yes! We opened May 1st

The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process.
